Narrative Essay Kindergarten
All I wanted when I was little was to have beautiful long hair. All of my dolls had hair down to their
waist , and I longed to have hair like them. Unfortunately for me, my hair did not grow very fast... at
all. I was practically bald until I was three; and my hair was only about to my chin when I was ready
to start kindergarten. So there I was, on my first day at Foreign Language Academy. I was in Señora
Vargas s Kindergarten class holding on to my mom, dreading the moment she would have to leave. I
had been really excited about starting school and getting to wear my navy blue dress and my hellokitty
backpack. Actually being in the classroom, however, incredibly nerve racking. Most of the parents
were mingling and asking questions to the teacher, while the kids tried to find their place. Some kids
had already began to play games with one another. Others, like me, were more shy, still clinging to
their parent. In all the commotion, I noticed a girl who had the longest hair in the entire class of
kindergartners. She looked a lot like me except she had freckles, a pink cast on her arm, and the hair I
had ever seen. Her hair was the same color as mine, but about triple the length, and with more curl in
it. Jealousy immediately swept over me. It seemed like this girl had everything I had ever wished for
in my entire life. I also thought casts were really cool at that time because I did not really understand
that broken bones hurt, or that you couldn t really move

Richard III by William Shakespeare
Richard woos two women in the play, both in unique ways, however succeeds in the end. He uses
many manipulative patterns and persuasive techniques that help him succeed in his wooing of both
women. As the both of the wooing is done by Richard himself there are many similarities,
nevertheless many differences as the first wooing is to the woman in person and second wooing is
wooing the daughter through her mother. The main difference between the two scenes are that Richard
intended to be king in Act 1 Scene 2 and already is king in Act 4 Scene 4. This may be seen as a
disadvantage in the wooing of Anne as he has no power, therefore cannot offer it and as an advantage
in the wooing of Elizabeth as he can offer power as Elizabeth has lost her power when her husband
died. So even though at first she is determined not to give in, the thought of gaining power changes
her mind. Anne, however, is needlessly of power and only gets persuaded due to Richard s flattery
techniques. As both women are in anger with him, they are prepared to kill him. However, Richard
having power can be a disadvantage for Elizabeth because if she kills him it will be a treason which is
much worse than Anne killing him when he is not king as it will only be classified as a murder.
Richard woos Anne to become king and woos Elizabeth so that their marriage will forge a nifty
alliance between the two divisions. Even though he woos both women for two different

The Importance Of Team Communication Essay
Abstract The focus of this paper is to show how communication is a very vital and important factor in
a team s success. I will cover how it helps to identify each individual team member s role. I will
discuss how team communication helps everyone in the team to understand the end goal, and I will
also discuss how communication is a vital part of project planning within the team.
The Importance of Team Communication
Team dynamics is the unseen force that pulls and influences a team to act and react in a certain way,
according to BusinessKnowledgeSource.com (2003). A good team is the one very important element
that makes any company successful. Not only is this important to the employer, but this is also
important to the success of the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
A mission statement is a brief statement with the intention of keeping all members informed of their
purpose and this also helps to communicate to the members what steps are involved in reaching that
desired goal and why these steps are important in the process to achieve the goals set by the
organization for the team to achieve, without this clearly communicated mission statement it is hard to
understand what your purpose is. A team s mission statement basically establishes the boundaries of
your group s work and how they fit into that organization, it just provides a reasonable and measurable
objective for your team s work and lets other groups see what you are responsible for or not
responsible for, it should basically state a list of what is needed to be accomplished and how to
accomplish it. (Levinson, 2008)
A common mistake made by team leaders to often is that every member within a team automatically
understand their role within the team. One of the initial tasks of a team leader is to clearly assign
individual tasks and responsibilities. In order for every member to understand exactly what their role
within the team is, their must be good, open communication from both parties. If a team member is
unclear of their duty, they must communicate with their team leader by asking questions, this also
helps

Information And Knowledge About Bigchange s Operation And...
In order to gain more deep understanding and knowledge about BigChange s operation and future
plan, the researcher conducted an in depth interview with the founder of the company who is also the
current CEO. Hence, this part of the chapter 4 will display five main topics of the research collected
from the interview as well as providing some direct quotes of the CEO.
4.4.1. Company Overview
It is essential for the researcher to gain insights into the operation and development of BigChange. The
CEO responded with meticulous answers about current situation and growth strategies. To illustrate,
the CEO believes his company is in the early phase of growth. Though they have just offered their
services and products for 2 years, their performances in the market are remarkable with the annual
revenue of ₤2 million. Moreover, he estimates the market share that the company has gained after two
years working is from 0.5% to 1% and he confirms that the UK telematics is one of the biggest
markets in Europe. Thus it seems to take BigChange more time and efforts to achieve its ambition as a
market leader.
When asking about the current strategy of BigChange, the CEO demonstrated that they are providing
services and products to specified industries in the UK by creating different industry sites. Then they
introduce sites and services to a customer coming from those industries, it will be timesaving and easy
to offer and customise the sites. Furthermore, he illustrated that services can be a

Research Paper On Cadillac
The name Cadillac is well known all over the world because of the Detroit based General Motors
division manufactured Cadillac car. Few know however that it comes from the name of the French
founder of Detroit, Antoine Laumet de La Mothe, sieur de Cadillac, a name that makes reference to
the little French town of Cadillac situated in the heart of the Bordeaux wine region. Historically
Cadillac is a bastide founded in 1280 by the Edward I, King of England for the defense of Bordeaux.
In 1315 the bastide surrounds itself with a defensive wall form which we still can see 2 gates, 3 towers
and almost the entire rampart. The most important historic monument of the town is the Cadillac

Egyptian Pyramids In Ancient Egypt
One of the first examples of a pyramid built in ancient Egypt was the Pyramid of Djoser. It s the oldest
of the 130 pyramids in Egypt. It is what you would call a step pyramid. The Pyramid of Djoser was
built around 4650 years ago or 2640 BC. The pyramid was built in Saqqara, which was a part of the
Old Kingdom s capital, Memphis. Pyramid of Djoser was made, like most pyramids, to hold the
mummified remains of the area s pharaoh, King Djoser. The bottom floor/layer of the pyramid was a
square mastaba, in other words, an ancient Egyptian tomb. The other five layers were the same kind of
structure but gradually getting smaller each new level. The pyramid was designed by Imhotep, who
was known by many as the father of ancient Egyptian stone architecture. He made it 204 feet tall
making the tallest structure of its time. The tomb with the pharaoh s remains was made underneath the
ground with a network of tunnels in attempts to stop any kind of robbery. The pyramid is made out of
limestone. Its base is 109 m × 125 m (358 ft × 410 ft). The whole complex has walls about 10.5 feet
high and made out of limestone along with everything inside the walls. Right outside the walls, there
is a trench that is 750 m long and 40 m wide. Its purpose is said to be so it was more difficult to get
into the complex. It also had a roofed colonnade, which just included many stone pillars with a roof.
Historians say that the small chamber in between the pillars may have included

Simeon Fat
This historical research brought Simeon to the analysis and studying of fat in the human body and the
various forms it takes on. Simeons establish that the body has three types of fat. The first is structural
fat which fills in gaps between organs, and as Simeons puts it, acts as a packing material. It helps
protect our arteries, provides bedding for the kidneys and keeps the skin smooth and taut. Structural
fat also provides the springy cushion underneath the bones in our feet. The second is normal fat which
is our normal reserves of fuel that can be drawn on by the body for energy. Fat packs a high amount of
calories in a small amount of space and is used for muscular activity and the overall maintenance of
the body including its temperature.

Persuasive Writing Young Adults
We exist in a generation where young adults are held to higher standards than ever before. Expected to

This report provides in depth look into Wiggo current business strategy and Indonesian grocery retail
market condition in order to assess the feasibility and provide strategic marketing plan for Wiggo to
enter Indonesian market.
Key to this plan is the opportunity of business in Indonesia as an emerging market and top 10 most
attractive destinations for FDI in UNCTAD s World Investment Prospects Survey in 2010. Macro and
micro economic analysis uncovered that
Indonesia is an attractive market for Wiggo s business expansion though attention should be paid to
infrastructure support, widespread corruption and social stability issue.
Like most Asian countries, Indonesian grocery retail market is far from saturation. There are much
scope for modern format retailers to increase penetration in suburban area and second tier cities.
Competition would be expected in
Wiggo s business segment which is medium supermarket size with the massive local retailer s
expansion. This retail sector will achieve double substantial growth with expected amount of
US$70.73 billion in 2015.
To create and increase brand awareness, make product affordable and appealing for Indonesian market
to capture 1% of market share in 5 years, the following marketing mix is suggested:
1. Product: Localization of products, imitating local supermarket in product selection and store
display, providing fresh food and

Christianity and Genocide in Rwanda
Christianity and Genocide in Rwanda by Timothy Longman discusses the roles of the churches in
Rwanda and how their influence might have been able to alter the outcome of the genocide. He
discusses the rise of Juvenal Habyarimana in politics with his Catholic background, church and state
relations, and obedience to political authority. His slogan Peace, Unity, and Development were his
political plans for Rwanda. On April 6, 1994, president Juvenal Habyarimana s plane was shot down
marking the beginning of the Rwandan genocide. His death was a pretext for government and military
officials to begin their launch against opponents of their regime. The genocide lasted for 100 days and
resulted in over a million deaths. During the genocide the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Tutsi were given educational opportunities that would lead to political positions. Missionaries
believed that Tutsi were destined to rule Rwanda because of their natural gift for commanding. They
felt that Tutsi should rule, where Hutu were solid and naturally fit for service and physical labor. Twa
were considered to be savage and lesser of the two ethnic groups. African religious history shows
evidence of engaging in ethnic discrimination and violence. During colonial Christian mission
projects, they were known to have relationships with the colonial authorities in supporting their
violations and fundamental human rights on the innocent. They encouraged obedience to authority
rather than standing up for the rights of oppressed populations (14). Religious oppositions was key to
the successful replacement of authoritarian rulers, and religious groups have been key in pressuring
governments to accept reform (16). These ethnic differences would lead to years of animosity between
the Rwandans. Longman asks, Why did loyalty to their church and to their fellow believers not
prevent Catholics from killing fellow Catholics and Protestants from killing fellow Protestants? (18).
By looking at the Rwandan State and it s declining economy, lack of resources, and social
associations, one can see that it s citizens needed a target. The Tutsi were a target, their scapegoat for
years of conflict and suppression. Pope John

Essay about Macular Degeneration
Macular Degeneration
Condition:
Macular Degeneration is a problem in the part of the eye that controls your sharpest central vision. It
is a group of diseases that result in a loss of detailed vision. The brain will not just leave the spot
empty, so it learns to fill it in with spotty macular cell damage. People most of the time don t tell their
doctors (opthalmologists) about it until it is well in advance.
There are two types of Macular Degeneration. Juvenile Macular Degeneration affects the central
vision in young children. This takes place in the macula, or the central region of the retina. The retina
is where we are able to read and to distinguish colors. The main symptoms ... Show more content on

Wet Macular Degeneration causes more severe loss of vision. Dry Macular Degeneration is the age
related type. There is no proven cure for dry Macular Degeneration.
Cause:
Basically what my research is stating is that there is a major genetic component that contributes to this
disease. There are three general types of hereditary Macular Degeneration. The first is called early
onset. This is when you get it when you are four years of age up to seven. In this type both parents and
their children can be affected. This means it is dominantly inherited. Most of the time this is called
Best Disease or Viteliform Macular Degeneration.
The second type is called middle onset. This is from five years of age up to twenty years of age. This
type is called Stargarett s disease. This is the Juvenile Macular Degeneration. This type is recessively
inherited. Meaning that this type can appear even if only a couple family members have it.
The third type is called late onset. This is when you get it in your thirties or forties. This type may
have dominant or recessive inheritance.
Really the cause of Macular Degeneration is unknown. Recently researchers have discovered that a
group of genes called ABCR contribute to the disease. When someone has these genes the likeliness of
this person to form Macular Degeneration increases by 30 percent. In most situations Macular
Degeneration is

College Football Stadium Sponsorship
The discussion of corporate sponsorships for college football stadium naming is a topic that is often
discussed, but not so easily acted upon. There have been various studies constructed to attempt at
understanding the phenomenon of what is the lag of universities partaking in what could be considered
as an opportunity. In literature it is very important to understand all the concepts and issues that take
part in making a decision as such. A current trend found throughout all literature is the perception and
view of the fans. The gap existing within the literature is discovering the actual reason why a
university should or should not partake in such an opportunity. A trend often found is researchers

(merriam Webster) defines a tradition as an inherited, established or customary pattern of thought,
action, or behavior (as a religious practice or a social custom). In relation to these traditions most of
them take place near or at a stadium where you can locate a sense of community. Research has also
shown that social spaces (football stadiums) are prominent in creating unity within a community or
school (Warner: shaping Community on Campus). So yes the traditions and venues and names of these
venues must all contribute to fit in the community. With this in mind traditions can all get lost when a
corporation comes in and decides to name the venue (Boyd 2000). Maintaining traditions have been
shown to be valuable and changing the name of something historic could ruin the prestige of said
facility and result in outrage (Snider, Rysen). A example of this is when the GEO Group, a
multinational corporation that runs prisons, pledged $6 million for the naming rights to Florida
Atlantic Universities stadium. The fans were upset and did not agree and decided to protest. The
university administrators listened to the fans as they expressed their feelings to preserve the history of
Coach Howard whom the field is named after (GEO Group Article). Today the stadium is named FAU
stadium representing the university as a whole. This facility is considered the location where they are
able to establish a sense of community and come together. In other words it is a name and a place that
people can return to and have a homecoming (boyd 2000) The distinctiveness will remain and will
allow for a homecoming

It is an attempt to study various factors causing cart abandonment during online shopping. Various

the biggest advantage of being online is there is no requirement of intermediary and this results

In recent times online shopping has become very popular among the internet users. Still the target area
of online marketing is middle class, higher middle class and upper class segment but the approach of
online marketing is growing day by day. The basic reason behind this targeted area must be there

The way of shopping is changed with the advancement of the technology. According to a study if any

the higher the level of income, occupation and education of the head of the family then the perception
towards online shopping is more favourable. If consumer is inclined towards technology, then his
attitude towards online or non store shopping is increased. Online shopping has widened the
segmentation and target audience. Earlier the young educated men were the main users of online

Beauty Parlor Lindahl Analysis
For most of human history, literature, both fiction and poetry, has been narrated, not written heard, not
read. So fairy tales, folk tales, stories from the oral tradition, are all of them the most vital connection
we have with the imaginations of the ordinary men and women whose labor created our world.
(Angela Carter) My Grandmother Fowler epitomized the characterization of an ordinary Southern,
hardworking, farm woman. She was thin, brown from the sun even though she always wore long
sleeves outside, and always dresses as her religion dictated. Her hair was steel grey, and would have

to ignore and accept the demise of North American Märchen, but yet discovered the genre lived a

those outside their academic circles while they pursued the more socially acceptable goal of ballads.
(Lindahl, 11) The primary researchers of North American Märchen, per Lindahl, were Vance

Upon coming across my decision on what my paper would be about, it was very evident that I would
be discussing the Asian cuisine, due to me often watching a clips on YouTube of them eating live
octopus, squid or fish. It amazes me to see some of the things they eat and how they eat it. In their
tradition, it is polite to slurp your food while eating. It lets the chef know you are enjoying it or they
prepared it just right. Food is very important to them, when they are walking on the street often before
going into conversation, they may ask the person Have you eaten today? , that is equivalent to our
American traditional question when starting a conversation, How are you doing.

Microscopy allows one to view samples and objects that cannot be seen with the human eye. With all
the modern techniques used in the biology field today, microscopy is one of the most important one
that allows us to see a world beyond what our eyes limits us too. The majority of both organisms that
are helpful and harmful are too small to be seen with the human eye, and without the microscope we
would have not understood the mechanism behind the major diseases we know today. Microscopy has
helped scientists produce antibiotics and antiviral drugs to treat the diseases that once were in a world
beyond our vision. There are three types of microscopy mainly used: optical (light), electron, and
scanning probe microscopy. Optical ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Fluorescence microscopy uses ultraviolet light as its light source that allows the resolution of the
object to increase. Fluorescence microscopy contains a barrier filter that reduces any undesired stray
of light other than the emission wavelength that might reach the observers eye. Light emitted by the
specimen s fluorophore for viewing is focused and magnified by the objective lens.
Electron microscopy uses an electron beam with a far smaller wavelength than Optical microscopy
that results in better resolution one can achieve. This is due to the fact that as wavelength increases,
resolution decreases. Electron microscopy allows for a resolution on the order of 1000 times greater
than can be achieved with light microscopy. There are two types of Electron microscopy:
Transmission and Scanning electron microscopy. Transmission electron microscopy (TEM) is similar
to light microscopy by sending an electron beam through a very slice thin of specimen. TEM uses an
electromagnet, a condenser lens, to focus a stream of electrons onto a specimen that produces images
of internal structures in 2 D slices of a specimen. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) produces 3 D
image of the external structure of a specimen by observing the surface of unsectioned samples. This is
possible through the specimen being lightly coated with a heavy metal that is constantly scanned by a
stream of electrons to produce the image

What Is Teenage Curfew Persuasive Essay
Many young teenagers enjoy living life on the edge; they often think or see themselves as fully grown
adults, capable of making their own decisions, and having the freedom that comes with it. But more
often than not, teenagers are not fully able to grasp the sense of maturity and consequence in every
day life, much less out in the real world. In order to keep them safe and away from harm, a curfew is a
perfect wall for teens to stay behind. Everyone remembers that, at least once as a child, they have
dreamt of having the freedom, will, and maturity that their parent or guardian possesses. Even today,
children often pretend to be a business man or president; someone that they hope to be when they get
older. True, teenagers are closer to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Teenagers are often seen as reckless and immature, rather than having the calm and collected
composure that an adult is seen with. This immaturity can sometimes be so high, they simply refuse to
take the fall for the decisions they made; some fail to realize that, in real life, everyone must take the
good with the bad, not solely claim the benefits. This fragile flaw can very much prove fatal, so a
curfew can very much save young citizens from themselves. Many television shows and movies are
known to give a young character an episode or scene about him or her, and it often runs down the
same road; the child or teen does something reckless or idiotic, they try extremely hard to fix it (but it
often makes things worse), and when they fail, they must face the consequences. A well known
example is from the hit Cartoon Network show The Amazing world or Gumball, where the main
character Gumball causes trouble with little or no intention. In one specific episode, Gumball
accidentally damages a rented DVD, and when he tries to fix it, he ends up breaking it. This may seem
like a silly show, but there is one big comparison between his actions and real life: In every episode,
such as the DVD episode, he is forced to face the

The s Arms Down, Out Of Breath
Ebon put his arms down, out of breath. He imagined his master smiling and telling him what a good
job he had done. The thought made him swell with pride.
Something he saw yanked him out of his thoughts. The back of the crowd was stirring. He turned and
cut the man, who was about to be burned, loose. May the King bless you! The man cried as he ran to
the outstretched arms of his family.
Ebon smiled as a deep sense of satisfaction washed over him. He then turned and pushed his way to
the back of the crowd. He stood aghast at what he saw.
The two Dark Wizards that had killed Eldon were fighting each other! The boy had drawn his sword
and was hurling spheres of green light at the girl. The girl tried hard to deflect all of them with her
sword. Dark Wizards could not do shield spells. The boy grabbed his sword with his other hand and
pulled it apart. It split into two swords! His voice roared like thunder. You are a disgrace to the Dark
Wizards! You are a disgrace to me!
The boy continued to yell a spell that Ebon had never heard before. Ebon could see that the girl was
beginning to lose the battle. He watched her swing her sword in vain. She kept stumbling back.
Finally, she tripped and fell over. Her sword clattered a few feet away. Ebon found himself with an
inner struggle. These were murderers. They killed without hesitation. They were ruthless, unstoppable,
and unforgiving. But the boy was really about to kill her. Even if they were bad, he still felt a need to

The Between Vigne s And Davis s Accounts
Davis s monograph demonstrates the complexity of the story that Vigne failed to incorporate as well
as to point out the differences of the interpretations between Vigne s and Davis s accounts. Davis
provides a detailed description of the two trials of the accused imposter. The first trial occurs at a local
court in Rieux, where the imposter is charged with stealing another person s identity and
impersonating Martin s life, while in the film the trial occurs in the same village of Artigat. Pierre
Guerre, Martin s uncle, presents the charge of imposture. Davis argues that Bertrande implies her
support for the accusation with the hopes that Pierre would lose the case against the imposter.
Bertrande proceeds to protect herself by coaching the imposter covertly while publicly supporting the
move by Pierre. Specifically, Davis asserts that the couple worked out a plan to follow during the trials
to counter Pierre s arguments. Bertrande either by explicit or tacit agreement ... helped him become
her husband (Benson 44). The trial declares the imposter guilty of the crime and sentence him to
death, but he appeals the case. After the trial, according to Davis, there was a scheme by the couple to
show Pierre coerced Bertrande into lying for him. Consequently, Davis interprets Bertrande s actions
as a double game. Bertrande first sends him [the imposter] food and money to indicate her support, but
then she agrees with Pierre that she will become a plaintiff (56). Davis shows

The receiving overhead rate is
Total receiving overheads
Total number of receipts £900,000

£1,097.56 per receipt
Using this rate as a constant allows us to evaluate the product overhead apportionments: overheads per
receipt x receipts per product group
For product A:
£1,097.56 per receipt x 50 receipts
£54,878
Product A B C
Receiving overheads apportionment £54,787.0 £76,829.3 £768,292.7
We then divide these product apportionments by the number of units made for each product, to derive
the cost per unit for receiving goods. The calculations here give the following results:
Product A B C
Receiving cost per unit £0.60976 £2.5610 £51.2195
Notice, when compared with Drury s method of using the overhead rate as a percentage of direct
materials cost, the version presented here gives a radically different result. Had we applied Drury s
method, the product receiving cost per unit would have been:
Overhead absorption rate:
£900,000 x 100 = 21.82%
= £4,125,000
Applying this rate to each product s material costs gives:

£6.55 8.73 3.27
The method we have used applies the full spirit of ABC by identifying and using fully the ABC
approach. The other overhead rate, the Machine Hour Rate, is £3.79. This is calculated by dividing the
total other overheads by the number of machine hours applied, or worked. In

Revelations of Divine Love
Revelations of Divine Love is one of the most renowned Christian texts, mainly because it is known to
be the first published book in the English language that was written by a woman. It was written by
Julian of Norwich, a woman who reflects the nature of the medieval time period. She would come to
define a representation of the connection that people can have to divine beings in many variety of
forms by being a famous mystic. As she interprets her mystic experiences, she depicts Jesus Christ as
a working mother of the Trinity. Her belief is that Christ embodies the characteristics of motherhood
and this would enable a caring and nurturing foundation for the Christian faith. Christ as mother
extends to both to the physical humanity in bodily bleeding and suffering in order to give life and to
the spirituality of Christ whom delivers the soul; eternal and heavenly. This motherhood of Christ is a
vital part of Julian s theology and the idea of feminine love extends even to sin and salvation. But
most of all, she depicts Christ as feminine, not to distinguish him as being even more of a woman, but
to analyze a blurring of the genders, having Christ, and therefore God as beyond manmade categories.
In turn, this would come to positively impact women by having an idol that is not androgynous. This
follows the Trinity being a father, mother and lordship (Father, Son and Holy Ghost). Christianity is
one of the largest religious practices in the world and it has many different

Examples Of Humanity s Sinful Nature And Edmund Pevensie
Humanity s Sinful Nature and Edmund Pevensie
Humanity is a beautiful force of nature, but just as an ocean in beautiful, it is also treacherous. Human
nature is sinful in nature, No one has to teach a child to lie or be selfish; rather, we go to great lengths
to teach children to tell the truth and put others first. Sinful behavior comes naturally. ( What is the sin
nature? , 2017). C.S. Lewis wrote a series of books called The Chronicles of Narnia and in one of
these named The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe . C.S. Lewis weaves a wonderful tale about four
children collectively called the Pevensie children who find a world unlike any other inside of a
wardrobe. They meet the all powerful Lion, Aslan, that brings awe to their person. They hear about the
White Witch with all of her horrors, and Edmund (one of the children) even experiences her himself.
The children even fight a battle against the forces of evil in their minds and physically on the
battlefield leading to the thrones of Narnia. Through this grand story, C.S. Lewis wrote in a character
very important to the ideas of human nature. Edmund was one of the Pevensie children and is used in
C.S. Lewis s novel as a representation of humanity. C.S. Lewis presents Edmund as humanity through
his foolish blindness to that which is sin, his pride and jealousy, and his fear of judgement.
Edmund is already a foolish boy by the result of his sinful nature. C.S. Lewis shows us this in the
book when he writes, He jumped in

Sunlight streamed down on the desert surface as just under the sands, bruised knuckles punched
through the flimsy wooden top of a makeshift coffin. As the dirt poured into the closed space, the
unfortunate person inside packed the dirt towards her feet and the sides of the rectangular box. After
enough sand and dirt was freed, the woman sat forward and crawled up and out, using her upper body
strength to pull her out of her own sandy grave. As she stood up, blinking in the blaring heat, the
woman, Imala, gripped her shawl down to cover her dark skin from the sun. Her long dark hair was

Orphan Stories
Throughout our lives we move from one story to the next. Whether we are listeners, readers or writers
we live our lives immersed in stories. From the many stories we encounter, both fiction and non

have prevailed in the literary arena for centuries, from ancient poetry, folktales, and myths to modern

understand the significance attached to it. However, according to the editors of Bastardy and its

of orphan as heroic figure in eighteenth century literature is commonly associated with the dawn of
the enlightenment and romanticism in the eighteenth century. Furthermore, the socio historic
explanation correlates the increasing philanthropic gestures for example the establishing of foundling
hospitals and the increased attention on the child with the rise in positive orphan figures in literature.
This literary revolution was perceived as a reflection of the rise in the care and protection of orphaned
and abandoned children, in other words an expression of social concern. This study is committed to
the eighteenth century English novel because this was when the literary orphan came to be celebrated
as a heroic figure in English literature, thus marking a notable departure from earlier representations
of the orphan.
This socio historical commentary is valid however; it disregards the fact that the novels are not
accurate portrayals of society. Important facts: first the philanthropic attitude in the novels is simply
not a reflection of the literal changes in society, the novels cannot be classified an expression of

Obviously there s a huge difference between the old english style that the Declaration of Independence

The Development Of The Adolescent Health Status Of Young...
Introduction:
Adolescents are a group often overlooked when it comes to health interventions. Currently there are
many services to assist parents with young children involving early intervention and community based
services both nationally and in the MidCentral region. The availability and accessibility of those
services have meant that there has been an overall improvement in the health of young children. In
comparison the improvement of health in adolescents has been much less. (1) In particular concern for
this group are mental health disorders, drug and alcohol abuse, sexually transmitted infections and
teenage pregnancy. (3) In MidCentral, some initiatives have already been implemented to improve the
accessibility of health services to youth. This paper will look at these current services and examine
aspects that could be improved as well as propose alternative ideas that can contribute to the
improvement of the adolescent health status in this region.
Issues affecting Adolescents:
An investigation was made exploring the factors that may contribute to adolescent behavior called
Improving the Transition Reducing Social and Psychological morbidity during adolescence.
Mentioned in the report is that there is a large increase in mortality and morbidity during adolescence
by almost 200% compared with childhood. Adolescents undergo many physical and emotional
changes as a result of puberty. Brain maturation is also occurring but is not complete until later in life.

Improving An Employee s Stress Level Is Through Supervision
Alternatively, one of the most common methods used to manage an employee s stress level is through
supervision. As previously stated, social workers who work within the child welfare system can use
daily debriefing based on the critical incidents that occur with this population. For example, from
personal experience of being a supervisor over case managers working with children, supervision was
crucial not only for myself but for the caseworkers. The caseworkers were able to release their
emotions, concerns, and possible fears when dealing with their clients and their family. Huss (2012)
shows how employees use supervision to cope and discuss stressful situations, however, it is explained
how supervision is beginning to suddenly decrease. Huss (2012) describes how supervision is
beginning to decrease, which can be due to the possible lack of supervisory positions or funding. This
is an example of why the current practices, i.e. EPA, supervision, and OD, need to change within
organizations. Based on personal experience, in order to help manage an employees stress, an
organization needs to ensure that their staff has the tools needed to work efficiently and effectively.
Organizations must be aware of the stress that can be caused by the policies, regulations and
conflicting demands of the external and internal factors that influence an employee s work (Dextras
Gautier, Marchand, Haines, 2012). Furthermore, organizational SMIs encompass the leadership of
administration,

An Essay on 3G Wireless Communication Technology
Branch: EEE
The advent of Wireless Communication
Communication has been one of the most fundamental aspects of human development. It took the
eccentric genius of Nikola Tesla to come up with the design of the first radio transmitter in 1891. The
first transatlantic radio communication in 1901 was a sign of further things to come. Communication
technologies that have been developed over the last century have largely shaped human interaction

Children With Special Needs A Wonderful Part Of Our World...
Children with special needs are a wonderful part of our world today. A child with special needs bring a
whole new life to those who they are around. They light up our world when we are around them and
do not see when there is trouble with different issues. After watching the two movies, Lorenzo s Oil
and The Other Sister, my eyes were opened even more about living with children who have special
needs. Lorenzo s Oil is based on a true story of Michalla and Augosto Odone and their son Lorenzo.
When Lorenzo is just five years old he is diagnosed with a disease called Adrenoleukodystrophy also
called ALD. Once he is diagnosed the Odone s do everything they can to find a cure for this terminal
disease. After talking with doctors they find out that Lorenzo only had about two years to love. With
that being said both Michalla and Augosto do everything in their power to lengthen his prognosis.
ALD is a genetic disorder that is X linked. This disease causes the body to not be able to break down
the long chain of fatty acids, because of this then the myelin sheath that is around the nerves in the
brain and the spinal cord begins to deteriorate. There are many different symptoms that one produces
such as: hyperactivity, decreased school performance, difficulty understanding verbal communication,
hard time swallowing, muscle spasms and change in muscle tone, loss of hearing, visual impairment
or blindness, and seizures. These are just some of the symptoms that ALD patients have. Despite

We should, however, guard against reading too much psychological significance into variations which
may be largely based on cost factors: it is perhaps no accident that those who tend to have relatively
lower incomes (teenagers, pensioners and women) show a preference for the cheaper option. When we
analysed the preferred medium of gossip by social class, we found that, indeed, the preference for
texting was somewhat higher among the lower income (C1, C2, DE) groups. Parent Communication *
One of the benefits of allowing cell phones in schools is that it allows parents to communicate with
children at any time. In the past, parents often never knew where their children were until they came
home. With cell phones, parents can check up on kids and arrange transportation or relay important
information if necessary. Read more: Advantages amp; Disadvantages of Allowing Cell Phones in

The Assassination Of Jfk Assassination Theory
The research topic I have chosen for English 12 research essay is the JFK assassination theory. I
would like to research this because I have seen documents and videos online and on television about
the conspiracy but I have not done full research into it to see the facts. With the presidents of the
United States they are able to make or break the country with their decisions, with that JFK was
assassinated due to that and other reasons. I will be going into this research thinking that there is a
conspiracy behind the assassination of JFK that it wasn t hoax and I might witness data with biased
eyes. Even though I believe that I want to see what the other side of the spectrum believes and what
data they will show to convince people ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

  • 2. Narrative Essay Kindergarten All I wanted when I was little was to have beautiful long hair. All of my dolls had hair down to their waist , and I longed to have hair like them. Unfortunately for me, my hair did not grow very fast... at all. I was practically bald until I was three; and my hair was only about to my chin when I was ready to start kindergarten. So there I was, on my first day at Foreign Language Academy. I was in Señora Vargas s Kindergarten class holding on to my mom, dreading the moment she would have to leave. I had been really excited about starting school and getting to wear my navy blue dress and my hellokitty backpack. Actually being in the classroom, however, incredibly nerve racking. Most of the parents were mingling and asking questions to the teacher, while the kids tried to find their place. Some kids had already began to play games with one another. Others, like me, were more shy, still clinging to their parent. In all the commotion, I noticed a girl who had the longest hair in the entire class of kindergartners. She looked a lot like me except she had freckles, a pink cast on her arm, and the hair I had ever seen. Her hair was the same color as mine, but about triple the length, and with more curl in it. Jealousy immediately swept over me. It seemed like this girl had everything I had ever wished for in my entire life. I also thought casts were really cool at that time because I did not really understand that broken bones hurt, or that you couldn t really move ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. Richard III by William Shakespeare Richard woos two women in the play, both in unique ways, however succeeds in the end. He uses many manipulative patterns and persuasive techniques that help him succeed in his wooing of both women. As the both of the wooing is done by Richard himself there are many similarities, nevertheless many differences as the first wooing is to the woman in person and second wooing is wooing the daughter through her mother. The main difference between the two scenes are that Richard intended to be king in Act 1 Scene 2 and already is king in Act 4 Scene 4. This may be seen as a disadvantage in the wooing of Anne as he has no power, therefore cannot offer it and as an advantage in the wooing of Elizabeth as he can offer power as Elizabeth has lost her power when her husband died. So even though at first she is determined not to give in, the thought of gaining power changes her mind. Anne, however, is needlessly of power and only gets persuaded due to Richard s flattery techniques. As both women are in anger with him, they are prepared to kill him. However, Richard having power can be a disadvantage for Elizabeth because if she kills him it will be a treason which is much worse than Anne killing him when he is not king as it will only be classified as a murder. Richard woos Anne to become king and woos Elizabeth so that their marriage will forge a nifty alliance between the two divisions. Even though he woos both women for two different ... The Importance of Team Communication Team dynamics is the unseen force that pulls and influences a team to act and react in a certain way, according to BusinessKnowledgeSource.com (2003). A mission statement is a brief statement with the intention of keeping all members informed of their purpose and this also helps to communicate to the members what steps are involved in reaching that desired goal and why these steps are important in the process to achieve the goals set by the organization for the team to achieve, without this clearly communicated mission statement it is hard to understand what your purpose is. A team s mission statement basically establishes the boundaries of your group s work and how they fit into that organization, it just provides a reasonable and measurable objective for your team s work and lets other groups see what you are responsible for or not responsible for, it should basically state a list of what is needed to be accomplished and how to accomplish it. (Levinson, 2008) A common mistake made by team leaders to often is that every member within a team automatically understand their role within the team. One of the initial tasks of a team leader is to clearly assign individual tasks and responsibilities. In order for every member to understand exactly what their role within the team is, their must be good, open communication from both parties. Pyramid of Djoser was made, like most pyramids, to hold the mummified remains of the area s pharaoh, King Djoser. The bottom floor/layer of the pyramid was a square mastaba, in other words, an ancient Egyptian tomb. The other five layers were the same kind of structure but gradually getting smaller each new level. The pyramid was designed by Imhotep, who was known by many as the father of ancient Egyptian stone architecture. He made it 204 feet tall making the tallest structure of its time. The tomb with the pharaoh s remains was made underneath the ground with a network of tunnels in attempts to stop any kind of robbery. The pyramid is made out of limestone. Its base is 109 m × 125 m (358 ft × 410 ft). The whole complex has walls about 10.5 feet high and made out of limestone along with everything inside the walls. Right outside the walls, there is a trench that is 750 m long and 40 m wide. Its purpose is said to be so it was more difficult to get into the complex. So yes the traditions and venues and names of these venues must all contribute to fit in the community. With this in mind traditions can all get lost when a corporation comes in and decides to name the venue (Boyd 2000). The first trial occurs at a local court in Rieux, where the imposter is charged with stealing another person s identity and impersonating Martin s life, while in the film the trial occurs in the same village of Artigat. Pierre Guerre, Martin s uncle, presents the charge of imposture. Davis argues that Bertrande implies her support for the accusation with the hopes that Pierre would lose the case against the imposter. • 31. Revelations of Divine Love Revelations of Divine Love is one of the most renowned Christian texts, mainly because it is known to be the first published book in the English language that was written by a woman. It was written by Julian of Norwich, a woman who reflects the nature of the medieval time period. She would come to define a representation of the connection that people can have to divine beings in many variety of forms by being a famous mystic. As she interprets her mystic experiences, she depicts Jesus Christ as a working mother of the Trinity. Her belief is that Christ embodies the characteristics of motherhood and this would enable a caring and nurturing foundation for the Christian faith. Christ as mother extends to both to the physical humanity in bodily bleeding and suffering in order to give life and to the spirituality of Christ whom delivers the soul; eternal and heavenly. This motherhood of Christ is a vital part of Julian s theology and the idea of feminine love extends even to sin and salvation. But most of all, she depicts Christ as feminine, not to distinguish him as being even more of a woman, but to analyze a blurring of the genders, having Christ, and therefore God as beyond manmade categories. In turn, this would come to positively impact women by having an idol that is not androgynous. This follows the Trinity being a father, mother and lordship (Father, Son and Holy Ghost). Sinful behavior comes naturally. ( What is the sin nature? , 2017). C.S. Lewis wrote a series of books called The Chronicles of Narnia and in one of these named The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe . C.S. Lewis weaves a wonderful tale about four children collectively called the Pevensie children who find a world unlike any other inside of a wardrobe. They meet the all powerful Lion, Aslan, that brings awe to their person. They hear about the White Witch with all of her horrors, and Edmund (one of the children) even experiences her himself. The children even fight a battle against the forces of evil in their minds and physically on the battlefield leading to the thrones of Narnia. Through this grand story, C.S. Lewis wrote in a character very important to the ideas of human nature. Edmund was one of the Pevensie children and is used in C.S. Lewis s novel as a representation of humanity. C.S. Lewis presents Edmund as humanity through his foolish blindness to that which is sin, his pride and jealousy, and his fear of judgement. Furthermore, the socio historic explanation correlates the increasing philanthropic gestures for example the establishing of foundling hospitals and the increased attention on the child with the rise in positive orphan figures in literature. • 41. Improving An Employee s Stress Level Is Through Supervision Alternatively, one of the most common methods used to manage an employee s stress level is through supervision. As previously stated, social workers who work within the child welfare system can use daily debriefing based on the critical incidents that occur with this population. For example, from personal experience of being a supervisor over case managers working with children, supervision was crucial not only for myself but for the caseworkers. The caseworkers were able to release their emotions, concerns, and possible fears when dealing with their clients and their family. Huss (2012) shows how employees use supervision to cope and discuss stressful situations, however, it is explained how supervision is beginning to suddenly decrease. Huss (2012) describes how supervision is beginning to decrease, which can be due to the possible lack of supervisory positions or funding. This is an example of why the current practices, i.e. EPA, supervision, and OD, need to change within organizations. Based on personal experience, in order to help manage an employees stress, an organization needs to ensure that their staff has the tools needed to work efficiently and effectively. Organizations must be aware of the stress that can be caused by the policies, regulations and conflicting demands of the external and internal factors that influence an employee s work (Dextras Gautier, Marchand, Haines, 2012).
