The paper investigates factors that influence student performance in online and campus-based courses as measured by final course grade. It focuses on the relationship between e-learning tools (like discussion forums and chats) and performance. The paper studies how perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, computer self-efficacy, computer anxiety, and ability to work independently correlate with course grade. It finds that perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, and ability to work independently significantly predict grade. The paper aims to explore how e-learning tools affect performance, rather than compare online to campus-based courses.

The result of the study suggests that students’ academic quality and knowledge enhancement have a relationship with investment in IT though the relationship is not significant. The result of hypothesis testing shows that students those have invested in personal computer and internet secure comparatively higher cumulative grade point average (CGPA) rather than those who haven’t invested on these IT tools. But the likelihood of investing higher amount in IT will pay-off better CGPA is not found thus there is no association of good result and investing heavily on IT. However, the findings of this exploratory study offer insights that the money invested in IT for academic purpose is more advantageous than otherwise be invested especially for those students whose academic curriculum mainly decorated in accordance with the modern up-to-date era of Information Technology. Eventually, this study will help concerned students, guardians and academicians understanding how important IT is for student’s academic performance.

The objective of the study is to find out the factors which affect the acceptance of E-learning among students and how the students’ purpose of using E-learning is determined by these factors. The research was based on the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM). The researcher developed a questionnaire to gather data from a sample of 366 university students who actively used the E-learning system. According to the results of the study, subjective norms, perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, enjoyment, and accessibility” are the vital predicators behind the intention of students for using E-learning systems. This indicates that extended TAM is applicable in the UAE. The results show that policymakers and education developers should take E-learning system seriously since it can be opted not just as a technological solution but also as a learning platform for students belonging to a distant area. The results present practical implications for education developers, policymakers and practitioners in devising useful plans to implement E-learning systems.

The data were obtained using methods: interview and questionnaire. The random participant has been chosen for interviewed and population has been used for the questionnaire. There were 1585 participants have filled the questionnaire and 24 students have interviewed. Interview data were recorded and analyzed. The results have processed, it was classified according to study programs following the indicator. The research finding shows that: factors from lecturers and teaching assistants got 78 - 81%, academic and non-academic facilities got 74.91% - 80.86% and dormitory as living for students got 69.16% which have a big impact on influencing student's affective and cognitive. There were also issues such as teacher's centered-learning, most of students and class situations can often be uncomfortable.

ABSTARCT : Convenience is one aspect that should be considered in an online learning environment. Without convenience it is very impossible to implement successfully online learning particularly in higher learning institution. The purpose of this study was to explore the online learning conveniences from students’ perception. A cohort of 61 science physics students from School of Science and Technology (SST) and 41 pre-service science teachers from the School of Education and Social Development (SESD) of Universiti Malaysia Sabah, Malaysia comprised the sample. The course involved is Modern Physics which is compulsory. Both groups were supported via an online learning environment, which acted as the main medium for learning. Participants’ perception on conveniences was recorded through an open-ended questionnaire and focus group interview. The output of these qualitative data can be categorised into several themes, as in general they felt that learning through online is really convenient and ease; and they were also using online to search for information. Somehow there were also negative feedback where they felt not satisfied with the Internet coverage. In additional the SESD’s student stressed that their communication skills were enhanced.

particularly Information and communication technologies, Web
2.0 and the Internet, made higher education no longer limited to
the classroom. The purpose of this paper is to investigate
lecturers' attitudes toward ICT and integration of E-learning
system in higher education. Also the study examine the factors
influencing lecturers' attitudes towards ICT and e-learning
system. The study was conducted at University of Tetovo, one of
the largest public universities of the Republic of Macedonia,
where the language of study is the Albanian language. The
research developed an extended Technology Acceptance Model
(TAM) model for predicting the integration of E-Learning.
Statistical analysis was conducted to assess lecturers' attitudes
towards integration of e-learning, and to analyses the
relationships between their attitudes and their demographic
characteristics, perception of usefulness of technology, perception
of ease of use of the technology, skills abut technology and
previous experience and usage the technology that predict the
integration of e-learning system. The findings of the study show
that there existed positive relationship between these factors and
prediction of the integration e-learning. The findings of this study
reveal that the lecturers have a positive attitude towards elearning
as well lecturers who are familiar about computer and
information and communication technology differ in their
attitude towards e-learning when compared to the lecturers who
are not familiar with technology. Attitude plays a vital role in
using technology as a strong tool for a positive change.
Questionnaire was used to collect data from a sample of 49
lecturers from different program studies. Statistical techniques
are used for the analyses of data. The findings indicate that
lecturers have an important role in prediction of the integration
of E-Learning system in University of Tetovo. The reported
findings might be of interest to academics, administrators, and
decision-makers involved in planning, developing and
implementation of e-learning in University of Tetovo and similar
universities in developing countries.

analysis and modeling is performed with the state-of-theart
digital simulator PSCAD 4.2.1. Simulation were

The objective of this study was to analyze the intention of a University's business department students to continue their studies on e-learning platforms during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. To this end, a questionnaire was developed to collect primary data from students in business fields. The study took into account more than 285 respondents from two different universities and relied on the expectation confirmation model (ECM) theory and the structural equation model. The partial least squares (SEM-PLS) method was used to analyze the data. The results of the study showed that task skills (TS) and task challenges (TC) were significant for the enjoyment (EN) of the students which in turn had a positive effect on the satisfaction levels. Confirmation (CON) had an impact on the post adoption perceived usefulness (PAPU), which was deemed positive for student satisfaction (SAT). The SAT and psychological safety (PS) of online learning platforms were found to positively influence the continuance intention (CI) on e-learning platforms. Finally, both SAT and PS of online learning platforms were observed to positively influence CI on e-learning platforms. Further research in this area could be useful in making decisions about promoting educational programs based on e-learning. The researchers recommend that academicians and policymakers must ensure appropriate arrangements for teaching on e-learning platforms.

Background/Objectives: While the increase in classroom technology, it is necessary to examine how assessment is administered through technology. The purpose of this study is to understand how students and faculty are perceived and examine the effectiveness of the computer-based assessment in professional education courses (Educational Technology) at Northern Iloilo Polytechnic State College, Iloilo, Philippines. Methods: The research design utilized in this study is mixed-method research. A computer-based assessment was utilized to assess students' performance in educational technology. This instrument was validated, and pilot tested to establish reliability. Each campus of NIPSC selected ten students of 70 as respondents during Academic Year 2016-2017. Frequency count, mean, standard deviation, and Wilcoxon signed-rank test were statistical tools used for data analyses. Findings: The study's finding showed a high score of students in the posttest ensured better performance of the students in educational technology. The increase in the posttest per performance level of the students was due to an accurate measure of what they have learned in educational technology. The majority of students users agreed that online assessment was fasters than the paper and pencil form. Also, users agreed that online assessment is contemporary and more systematic. They also stated that online assessment is consistent with the teaching style, but they are less anxious. Furthermore, according to faculty and students, ninety percent (90%) believed that computer-based assessment accurately measures what they are teaching and what they learned in school, respectively. Novelty: With the current situation that the education system is in new normal, computer-based learning is important in flexible learning. And assessment using technology is a great help to both faculty and students. Thus, state universities and colleges (SUCs) should adopt this innovation to help teaching and learning.

Techniques. In multiple classifier approach K-nearest neighbor (KNN) is used in first step and Rule based classification is used in the second step of classification while in single classifier approach only KNN is used in both steps of classification.
But in proposed system, I will analyse the faculty performance using 4 parameters i.e., student complaint about faculty, Student review feedback for faculty, students feedback, and students result etc.
For this proposed system I will be going to use opinion mining technique for analyzing performance of faculty and calculating score of each faculty.

INTI International University has been using Blackboard to promote and strengthen Blended Learning, and has faced extensive resistance from both students and academic staff at its inception. However, the research now shows that students are increasingly adopting Blackboard as an LMS and are picking up the needed skills for more effective Blended Learning. ABSTRACT
IT system development, integration, deployment, and
administration benefit significantly from free and open source
software (FOSS) tools and services. Affordability has been a
compelling reason for adopting FOSS in computing curricula and
equipping computing labs with support infrastructure. Using
FOSS systems and services, however, is just the first step in
taking advantage of how FOSS development principles and
practices can impact student learning in IT degree programs.
Above all, FOSS development of IT systems requires changes to
how students, instructors, and other contributors work
collaboratively and openly and get involved and invested in
project activities.
In this paper I examine the challenges to engage students in FOSS
development projects proposed by real clients. A six-week course
project revealed problems with adopting FOSS development and
collaboration across different activities and roles that student team
members have assumed. Despite these problems, students have
showed a genuine and strong interest in gaining more practice
with FOSS development. FOSS development teaching was further
refined in two other courses to learn about adequate teaching

1. BACKGROUND
The Computer Information Systems (CIS) program at University
of New Hampshire in Manchester (UNHM) has built partnerships
with local nonprofits, state agencies, small businesses, and in-
house research projects to enrich curricula with authentic work
experiences and benefit community with IT solutions. In this
curricular model, 98 students worked in 26 teams on projects
proposed by eight organizations and one research faculty during
2007 to 2010 time period. Most of the projects evolved over
multiple semesters as course projects in databases, web systems,
and software engineering courses. Three projects were conducted
in internship, independent study, and summer research courses by
individual students. Only these projects have produced prototypes
that could be transferred for deployment at partnering
organizations. Two of these three projects have been adopted and
are in use at sponsoring organizations, Salvation Army in
Manchester and the Division for Juvenile Justice Services.

ABSTRACT
Offering many advantages to adult learners, e-Learning is now being recognized - and preferred - by more and more
people, resulting in an increased number of distance learners in recent years. Numerous research studies focus on learner
preferences for online learning, with most converging around the individual characteristics and differences, if not the
features of the technology and pedagogy used. For Turkey, the situation is also similar, with the number of adult learners
who prefer online learning increasing each year due to several reasons. The result of this is an increase in the number of
online programs offered by many universities. Hence, this research study has been conducted to reveal the prevailing
factors causing learners to choose online learning. Through this qualitative research regarding online learners in a state
university, it is found that having a full time job, accessibility and flexibility, individual responsibility, effective time
management, physical distance, institutional prestige, disability are the common factors for under graduate and graduate
learners in their preference for online learning. Awareness of these factors can support the stakeholders while designing
e-Learning from both technological and pedagogical points of view.

1. INTRODUCTION
Offering many advantages to adult learners, e-Learning is now being recognized - and preferred - by more
and more people, resulting in an increased number of distance learners in recent years. Emphasizing that
distance education has a bright and promising future, Zawacki-Richter and Naidu (2016) stress that, “In fact,
there has never been a better time to be in the field of open, flexible, distance and online education than
now!” (p. 20).
The commonly discussed factors that make online learning attractive for adults are: independence from
time and place; accessibility, and; economic reasons. With the MOOC movement, extremely high quality
online courses are now being delivered to learners by many well-known universities. Moreover, many
universities are either providing online programs or courses as a support to traditional instruction, in the form
of blended learning, flipped classes, etc. Indeed, there are almost no universities left who don’t benefit from
these advantages of technology usage and its support in teaching-learning processes.
A variety of reasons might account for these learning preferences. Çağlar and Turgut (2014) attempted to
identify the effective factors for the e-learning preferences of university students; they concluded that,
“Efficient usage of time and reduced educational expenses were found to be on top of the list as the most
valued advantages of e-learning” (p. 46). ...

User acceptance of E –learning tools in online and campus based classrooms has been an
important field of study for over two decades now. Although many models have been
proposed to explain and predict the use of a system,
the Technology Acceptance Model has been the only one which has captured the most
Attention of the Information Systems community. Thus, it is essential for anyone willing to
study user acceptance of technology to have an understanding of the Technology
Acceptance
Model. This article provides a historical overview of the Technology Acceptance Model
(TAM) by summarizing the evolution of TAM, its key applications, extensions, limitations,
and criticisms from a selective list of published articles on the model. Current observations
indicate that although TAM is a highly cited model, researchers share mixed opinions
regarding its theoretical assumptions, and practical effectiveness. It is concluded that
research
in TAM lacks sufficient rigor and relevance that would make it a well established theory for
the Information system(IS) community.

It’s a study investigates the factors influencing student performance as reflected by their final
course grade Focusing on e-learning tools and their relationship to student performance in both
online and campus-based classes. Data for this study were collected from students pursuing a
Bachelor of Business Administration, who were given the choice of enrolling in either the online
section or campus based classroom section of the same course during the Fall Semester of
2009. Students’ performance in this study was based on multiple assessment measures
including exams, discussion, and individual project-based work, in this study, e-learning tools
are defined as the electronic delivery of learning materials and instruction over the internet
such as(discussion forums and chat). The investigators determine 4 components used as a
framework to measure the effectiveness of using e-learning tools as the following:
perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use:
Perceived usefulness is the extent to which a person believes that using the system will
enhance his or her job performance.
Perceived ease of use is the extent to which a person believes that using the system will be free
of efforts.
Computer Self Efficacy
Self efficacy is a person’s perception regarding his or her ability to successfully execute a
behavior required in accomplishing a desired outcome
Computer Anxiety
Computer anxiety is the Inclination of an individual to have a negative reaction while
considering computer usage.
Ability to work independently( WORK)
Work is the self-management of studies by working on one’s own initiative where a student
takes more responsibility for his or her own learning.

Therefore the following hypothesis was formulated to explore the relationship between the
performance and the above mentioned components:
H1: Perceived Ease of Use of e-learning tools will have a statistically significant correlation to
the course grade a student will achieve.
H2: Perceived Usefulness of e-learning tools will have a statistically significant correlation to the
course grade a student will achieve.
H3: Computer Self-Efficacy will have a statistically significant correlation to the course grade a
student will achieve.
H4: Computer Anxiety will have a statistically significant correlation to the course grade a
student will achieve.
H5: The Ability to Work Independently will have a statistically significant correlation to the
course grade a student will achieve.
Finally the study demonstrated that PU, PEU and WORK were shown to be indeed related to
final course grades; therefore H1, H2 and H5 do play an important role in performance in both
online and campus based courses. This study did not find any statistically significant difference
between the final grades of the two groups, thereby indicating that students were able to
attain the course learning objectives at an equivalent level in both online and campus-based
sections using similar e-learning tools despite of this study was not concerned with finding any
differences in performance between online and campus-based courses but aimed to explore
the effects of e-learning tools on performance.

The proliferation of the personal computer was possible because of the applications
written for it. The continuous creation of new applications has created ample ground to
test the technology. Acceptance model to determine how a user will decide to adopt such
applications. The recent escalation of delivering online education via the Internet has again
sparked a new dimension of information systems. This has given rise to research using the
Technology Acceptance Model for applications in the Education fields.
Today’s modern classroom, whether online or campus based, uses e-learning Management
System that capture student cognition and engages them in the learning process via
technology, while increasing their need for self-directedness. In view of this, the present
study also considers the students, ability to work independently.
The results of the statistical analysis used in this study revealed marked differences in
student perceptions of e-learning tools between students who choose to an online course
and students who preferred to take the campus-based section. Additionally, Perceived
Usefulness, Perceived Ease of Use, and the students’ ability to work independently were all
statistically significant factors in predicting students/ final grades.
E-learning defined as a computer networked technology to provide course material and
content (Welsh, Wanberg, Brown & Simmering 2003). The Sloan Consortium has
conducted annual reports concerning DE trends in the United States. Sloan – C provides the
following definitions that are useful in distinguishing classroom types:
- Traditional – Course without online technology used; therefore, 0% of content is
delivered online,
- Web Facilitated - Courses that used web-based technology to facilitate what is
essentially a face-to-face course and may use a Learning Management System or
web pages to post syllabus and assignments. Less than 30% of the content is
delivered online.
- Blended/Hybrid – Substantial proportion of content is delivered online, typically
uses online discussions and has a reduced number of face-to-face meetings. 30-
79% of the content is delivered online,
- Online –More than 80% of the content is delivered online. Typically there are no
face-to-face meetings.
Additionally, current trends in education confirm that instructors are shifting away from
authoritarian and non interactive courses. Students have gained control in their course

with the aid of two way communication, as well as group-oriented activities. Student self-
directed courses use audio, videotapes, and other web-based recourse
Q.6) What are some limitations of the paper in your view and how can these be addressed?
There are several limitations that have been recognized from this paper. For an example
are the study was limited only to one campus only where the sample are the Hispanic
student population. Therefore, the result cannot be generalize to more culturally diverse
population. In practice, the sample size used in a study is determined based on the expense
of data collection and the need to have sufficient statistical power.
This limitation can be addressed by increase the volume of sample size, so that it will
provide more insight into various e- learning tools and their relationship to performance.
Larger sample sizes generally lead to increased precision. the sample size also must have
concluded students from various majors and different background such age , skills and
experience.
Other than that, this paper also limit the sample to instructors who kept both of these
sections as similar as possible, using the same text and almost identical course content. For
future research, we gave to spread it to others instructors.
This paper choose to take grades as the performance measure. This only limit the result of
the study. Researcher can use other method in order to measure the result such as course
satisfaction, by using questionnaires. A questionnaire is essentially a structured technique
for collecting primary data. It is generally a series of written question for which the
respondent has to provide the answer. Other method is by using interview. Interview are
useful tool which can lead to further research using other methodologies such as
observation and experiment. Interview can have one of two basic structures: they can be
either structured or unstructured. Thus, more than one method will provide a well
rounded, richer study.
We also can implementing testing before and after a student participates in a course with e-
learning tools to measure the differential gains of student perception of e- learning tools.
This paper suggest that for future research, we can try to investigate the effectiveness of
hybrid courses to determined the best combination of campus based versus Distance
Education interactions.
