For the past couple of weeks, I engaged in a marketing simulation. This Simulation was extremely fun while
challenging as it taught me the right way to advertise and market a new brand, specifically a computer, that you are

reading selections I correctly formated my quotes placing quotation marks and commas in the right place as well as
paraphrasing key concepts into 25 words or less in only one sentence to explain a chosen quote. Many rearrangements
were made in my body paragraphs where I would start my ideas but not finish my analysis. Adding examples either
from experience or any related ideas, made both my essays so much better and more coherent. Lastly, I appended
much more information to wrap up my conclusions, since they were not straightforward or neither restate my thesis
statement.
For my reading and writing processes I have learned ample techniques to become better and more successful in each
and every unit, especially the very last one, The Dark Side of Happiness, by June Gruber, because of its intricate and
complex key points it was a challenging reading. Coming from High School where teachers do not exemplify any

Sydney Carton Character Analysis
In A Tale of Two Cities, Charles Dickens thorough development of each character and skillful use of coincidence
prevents anyone from fading into insignificance; every character in the novel plays a role vital to the evolution of the
plotline. Perhaps more impressive than his ability to place every single character in a significant role, Dickens uses
the element of surprise to introduce the magnitude of various roles. Sydney Carton, in particular, seems to play a
rather insignificant part in much of the novel, resulting from his self admitted worthlessness. Carton s continual and
somewhat irritating self criticism primes him for a surprising acquisition of influence at the conclusion; an
inconsequential life becomes the novel s hero in an ending which few anticipate. Carton expresses regret over his
unfruitful life multiple times, agonizing over the idea of not having the opportunity to alter it. Dickens creates a final
set of circumstances that are traumatic for much of the novel s characters; Carton, however, sees the situation as the
perfect chance to finally do something meaningful with his life. In an ironic yet sensible twist, the only way Carton
can redeem his wasted life is by losing it. In light of the nature of his life up to the conclusion of the novel, he does
