Political Argumentative Essay Topics
Crafting an essay on the subject of "Political Argumentative Essay Topics" can be a challenging
endeavor that requires a careful balance of research, critical thinking, and persuasive writing. The
difficulty lies in navigating the intricate landscape of political issues, selecting a compelling
topic, and presenting a well-structured argument that engages readers.
Firstly, the sheer breadth of political topics available for exploration can be overwhelming. From
global geopolitics to domestic policy issues, the range is vast, making the selection of a specific
topic a daunting task. It requires a thorough understanding of current events, political theory, and
the ability to identify issues that are both relevant and thought-provoking.
Furthermore, delving into political arguments demands meticulous research. It is essential to
gather information from credible sources, analyze various perspectives, and synthesize complex
ideas into a coherent narrative. The ever-changing nature of politics adds an additional layer of
challenge, as staying up-to-date with the latest developments is crucial for crafting an informed
and relevant argument.
Additionally, the task involves the skillful use of rhetoric and persuasion. The essay must not
only present a well-reasoned argument but also anticipate counterarguments and effectively
address them. The writer must navigate the delicate balance between passion and objectivity,
avoiding biased language while still conveying a compelling stance.
Moreover, political topics often evoke strong emotions and diverse opinions. Writing an
argumentative essay in this context requires diplomatic handling of differing viewpoints,
acknowledging nuances, and maintaining a respectful tone. Striking this balance is vital to
ensure the essay remains persuasive rather than alienating potential readers.
In conclusion, composing a political argumentative essay demands a blend of research prowess,
critical thinking, and persuasive writing skills. It involves navigating the complexities of political
issues, staying abreast of current events, and addressing diverse perspectives with finesse. While
challenging, the process can be immensely rewarding, as it provides an opportunity to engage
with crucial societal issues. If you find yourself struggling with such tasks, remember that

Virtual Teams Vs. Virtual Team
Abstract Teams have always contributed significantly towards the successful
operation of any organization. Traditionally, team members had to endure the
challenges of time, distance, and even cultural differences in order to successfully
complete a team activity. However, recent advancements in technology have led to
the birth of virtual teams. The paper aims to explore the effectiveness and
differences of virtual teams as compared to face to face teams. The evaluation will be
on the basis of dimensions such as performance, cohesion, conflict, trust and
satisfaction among others.
Introduction
Due to the recent increased utilization of information communication technology in
organizations, there has been a rising trend of the adoption of virtual teams. These
teams have helped organizations conduct their businesses in a very effective way. In
furtherance of that, these teams have also helped in enhancing the speed at which
communication is carried out. For instance, team members in different countries or
continents can actually contribute ideas for a project in real time via electronic
means. However, these groups have faced some criticisms which have made them to
be underutilized. Some of the issues raised against these teams include lack of
involvement and inclusiveness, lack of trust, lack of employees with technical and
interpersonal skills and lack of cohesion among others. Past research has revealed
that virtual teams have proved to be effective, especially in
Endothelial Cells Essay
Introduction
If the endothelium were to be considered an organ, it would be without a doubt the
largest, with its 6 trillion cells, area of 5000m2, and 1kg weight. With knowledge
of the endothelium stemming back to the early 1600s with William Harvey s work
on the circulation as a closed circuit with a pump and Marcello Malpighi s
observations of blood capillaries, the focus over the next 400 years was mainly on
the pump itself, leading to the creation of a major clinical field cardiology. Although
scientists were aware of blood vessels and their role in circulation, it wasn t until the
early 1960s that the endothelium was able to be seen with electron microscopy and
therefore be differentiated and characterized.1 The recognition of ... Show more

Hematologists are all too aware of the role of the endothelium in atherosclerosis,
while hepatologists recognize the important of sinusoidal endothelial cells for liver
regeneration. The uniqueness of the endothelium coupled with the difficulties caused
by a lack of a clinical field has lead to a series of unforeseen and surprising
discoveries.
The simple classification of the endothelial cells themselves pose challenges. The
endothelium is, anatomically speaking, the inner lining of the blood and lymphatic
vessels.3 However, many characteristic structures such as fenestrae are not present on
every endothelial cell, and other features, e.g. caveolae, are not specific to the
endothelium. There are also other cells that form the inner lining of the blood vessels,
and therefore molecular markers are instead being used to differentiate. Furthermore,
endothelial cells arise from the mesoderm via hemangioblasts, however they may
differentiate instead into hematopoietic stem cells, and the endothelial progenitors
may themselves differentiate into other cell lineages. Due to these difficulties
endothelial cells are instead recognized with endothelium specific markers such as
vascular endothelial (VE) cadherin, E selectin, and vascular endothelial growth factor
receptors (VEGFR) 1 and 2.4 Even so, endothelial cells are typically considered
quiescent at the same time as the endothelium of the corpus luteum undergoes cycles
of intense physiological

The pokemon. The most amazing creatures on the planet. To catch one is the
single greatest feat in the whole wide world. Now how to catch one is a very
different story. To catch a pokemon you must be stealthy and sneak up quietly, you
must look at the pokemon and see if it is high enough level to use a pokeball on it,
you must throw the pokeball at the pokemon and catch it, then put it in your
backpack. To catch the pokemon you must be very quiet. You would have to sneak

Security Plan And Reccomendation Memo Essay
The CIO,
Bank Solutions.
Dear Sir/ Madam, SECURITY PLAN AND RECCOMENDATION MEMO:
Having outlined the major threat factors to your institution as insider threats and
external attacks, the audit team has come up with the following current technologies
that will take on these hitches and fill the security gaps in their entirety.
1.The implementation of privilege access control, role based access control and logical
access control which all leverage on tackling insider threats, closely monitoring and
managing all administrative activities performed on information systems. Their
functionality is based on provision and denying of access to commands and items on
the basis of authentication, identification and appropriateness.
2.Storage encryption. This technology is set to counter threats associated with third
party storage providers, where by the data and information stored is rendered
unusable without an encryption key. This will enhance the security of data even when
in the hands of other storage providers hence protecting critical information from
external attack.
The Vormetric Data Security Platform is an invaluable tool that comes with dynamic
capabilities which are efficient in meeting the above specifications, implementing
these technologies in ensuring the security and safety of Bank Solutions data and
information.

Theodore Roosevelt s Accomplishments
Twenty sixth U.S. President Theodore Roosevelt, the man the teddy bear was
named after, was one of the most influential presidents in American history.
Roosevelt was forty two when he took office, succeeding the death of President
William McKinley who was shot and killed. Roosevelt was a very young president
at the time, in fact, one of the youngest. His young age worried many people, but he
still brought many very strong credentials. Before Roosevelt took office he had about
twenty five years experience in politics. Roosevelt was a very argumentative person,
some say to an annoying extent (Carnes and Garraty 556). Carnes and Garraty

spontaneity, and very committed... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Carnes and Garraty state he was a very intelligent man, experienced in business
matter and knowledgeable in economics, (671). Throughout the Depression he did
not show his knowledge in economics or experience in business at all. He was very
selfish when it came to deciding how the depression would be resolved. He did not
really care about others opinions or what resolutions they had to offer, whether it
was from an expert opinion or not. Hoover refused that federal funds be used for
the relief of individuals, even though the national government solely had the power
and credit to deal with the problem (Carnes and Garraty 672). Hoover tried to stress
that funds needed to be balanced, meaning that people who had the extra money
needed to donate it. This did not work because people did not trust his plans and
they were not going to get anything out of it. During this depression President
Hoover was not open minded enough. He relied too much on his own decisions and
did not take others into consideration. Hoover failed to bring back the economy and
instead of sympathy he portrayed resentment against his concerns (Carnes and Garraty
Leggio Mafia
The Corleonesi became one of the most powerful figures in the Sicilian mafia, but
how did they get there? Luciano Leggio is credited for the rise of the Corleone
family. Leggio first joined with the help of the Capo, Michele Navarra, in 1943. He
was known for being violent, especially because of his most famous homicide of
trade unionist Placido Rizzotto, which he was never convicted for despite the
overwhelming evidence. Leggio liked to stay invisible, to not just the authorities, but
to other mafiabosses. Leggio began having altercations over land with Navarra in
1958, when Navarra sent men to kill him. Leggio came out alive and was able to
ambush Navarra, killing him and starting the second mafia war. The war between
Leggio s band and other Corleone bosses.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Leggio became the man all Corleonesi aspired to be like, and this mindset led them
to their rank. After killing Navarra, the fighting and the shootouts continued for 5
years. The fighting stopped once a car bomb led to over 60 arrests of Mafiosi
where all were acquitted. Leggio returned to mafia activity, and in 1969 he was
offered a spot on the Commission of Cosa Nostra. The Commission consists of only
three individuals, Leggio, Gaetano Badalamenti, who had connections across the
Atlantic, and was one of the men who was in the party that made the rules for the
Commission, and Stefano Bontate, who was the Capo of the most prominent family
in Palermo. Leggio and the Corleonesi worked their way up to be a part of
Commission, which is arguably the highest position of honor one can have in the
Sicilian mafia. The reason this is important is because with the Commission in effect,
it led to the hierarchal structure of the mafia that we learned through Tommaso
Buscetta. Leggio was the one to thank for the rise of the Corleonesi in the
The Presidency Of Bill Clinton
The presidency of Bill Clinton is not too simple to forget. The 42th president is
memorable in a variety of aspects. Bill Clinton, born in August, 1949, was ready
for political world at 17 when he shook president John F. Kennedy s hand on a trip
to DC. After five terms as governor of Arkansas, he knew that his aspiration one
day to be president could happen, but he must work hard. After some time, Clinton
became governor of Arkansas while working closely with his wife. He was often
ridiculed for his youth and political inexperience, but Clinton was able to prove his
critics wrong he decided to run for president in 1992. Bill Clintonbecame president of
the United Statesof America and served two terms. Clinton won the heart of many...

In his first term, Clinton had a somewhat moderate relationship with the media. He
was criticized for some of his decisions, but overall it was a typical president versus
media relationship, until his second term. In 1998, the media coverage of Bill
Clinton went from mild to extremely harsh when the Lewinsky scandal emerged.
The press was strident when it came to finding information about the sex scandal.
Reports would surround Clinton and the first lady trying to oust comments out of
them. However, this did not get worse until the president lied under oath with his
famous line, I did not have sexual relations with that woman... , and the president
was impeached. The press had a field day by making jokes, and over analyzing
every little thing the president did. Overall, Bill Clinton and the media did not
have a harmonious relationship and still do not to this day. In the first year of
Clinton s presidency, he was able to entice Congress to get some of the things done
that he promised in his campaign. Clinton was able to persuade them to raise taxes
on the wealthy. He was able to wheedle the Senate to ratify the North American
Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA), which helped create thousands of jobs. He was
also able to convince them to pass bills to aid parents and to combat violent crime.
Clinton was able to fulfill some of the promises of his campaign in that first year, and
his relationship with Congress was simply Clinton persuading both houses. However,
in the mid term
Misogyny In Witch Hunts
Overall women made up around 75% of those who were executed for witchcraft. Yet
the fact that a significant proportion of accused witches were men does not undercut
the idea that misogyny was a factor in the witch hunts. Social structures had the
ability to influence these witch hunts. The change in this social and economic
balance shifted and so did the common concept of a witch s gender. Women gaining
power threatened the male dominated society. This common subordination during the
period may not have been shown by the number of accused but by the number of
executed women. Witches were believed to be described as ..women...those named as
witches (94.7 percent) (Holmes, 2001).
Women had been expressed to have a connection to folk magic and healing in the
Malleus Maleficarum (published in 1486), a type of good magic. Due to the
changing social and economic status of women during the period they had become
a threat to men. This idea good magic was easily warped into the accusation of
someone being a witch. Nearly 100% of the legal system that a person accused of
witchcraft went through, including the jailers, doctors, etc.., were male during this
time. Although females were the majority of the executed, males were most accused
of witchcraft. Of women there were ...thousands ... Show more content on

In Russia the majority of the victims of the hunts were male. Social conditions
varied immensely during the witch hunting period due to geographical differences.
This is shown by a large witch hunt done in Germany from 1587 to 1593 where
there were ...burned 368 witches from just twenty two villages. ...two villages in
1585 were left with only one female inhabitant apiece. (Midelfort, 2001). From 1660
in Europe the judicial system and court were hesitant to charge individuals with
witchcraft. The exception to this fear were in the cases where the accused was

Darden Property
What is law? Law is a set of rules that are laid down by the state and backed up by
enforcement (Reed, Pagnattaro, Cahoy, Shedd, and Morehead, 2013, p.6). These
set of rules were made to take away the diversity amongst people. Laws are a set of
guidelines that are to be followed by every citizen. Under each law, people are
required to be treated equally regardless of any differences that may appear
amongst a group of people. The law applies to everyone, including the law maker
and the law enforcement. Under the rule of law, laws that are made generally and
equally apply group; they apply to all or most members of society and they apply to
various groups in the same way (Reed, Pagnattaro, Cahoy, Shedd, and Morehead,
2013, p..7). What does it mean to say that Darden has propertyin the land? That the
hunter has property in himself? Property is something that is owned and ownership;
or in law it means the right to turn to public authorities like the police or the courts to
help keep others from interfering with what you own (Reed, Pagnattaro, Cahoy,
Shedd, and Morehead, 2013, p.8). Property prevents another person from taking
something that they do not own. The statement Darden has property in the land

The Case Of The 183rd Aviation Company
We joined the 183rd Aviation Company in Fort Bragg, North Carolina, which was
just starting up. We had no idea how long we were to be there, so we asked for on
post quarters. The housing office assigned us a three bedroom apartment that was
about 1200 square feet. It had a tiny kitchen, living room, and dining area. If you
needed anything, you went to the quartermaster and got it, from blinds to stoppers,
to light bulbs. It had a large, shared back yard and a washer dryer. Post housing
included all utilities. Sarah decided to work so I bought a firsthand, yet inexpensive

A camera flash is an important component in photography, more so when you want
to shoot creative still life photos and portraits. The special features to look forward to
in the whole flash setup include; the automatic TLL mode and light modifiers such as
a reflector.
You can buy a folding reflector to predictably bounce light and work out variety of
lighting effects using the studio light. These types of reflectors come in different
size and shapes. For greater mobility, consider buying a small, energy efficient
flashlights to take care of inadequate lighting. In spite of its diminutive size, the LED
flashlights are very bright in comparison to the incandescent light. Beginners also
need camera filters in their toolbox, even though most digital cameras in the market
feature white balance control. One of the most important filters in digital
photography is the polarizer that works by filtering out glare from shiny objects. The
filter also makes the images more saturated and visibly vibrant. This type of polarizer
is especially useful in landscape photography.
The other popular types of filters include Diffusion filters, Neutral Density filters and
Ultra Violet rays reduction filters. UV filters often come in handy, when shooting
indoors and outdoors. The filters work by tempering the degree of UV radiation
generated by electronic flash tubes. The Neutral Density filters, on the other hand, are
neutrally tinted to
Time In The Play Our Town
If a book were to tell someone s life, how could you tell if it was the next day or the
next year? Usually authors have different strategies to give readers an idea of how
much time has passed. However, this is especially harder in plays because the
perception of time to readers is mainly dependent on the verbal script of the
characters. In the play Our Town by Thornton Wilder, his usage of the concept of time
is incorporated by major life events such as their life as children, the wedding and a
funeral with the help of the stage manager and the title of the acts.
To begin with the play is essentially about the lives of two neighboring families, the
title of the first act Daily lives is appropriate and telling of the beginning of the play.
In the beginning of Act one it basically introduces the readers to the characters . The
families are getting their kids ready for school and the mothers meet with each other.

The major life events are summed up that way because that s what life in the town
consisted of growing up, getting married then die. The play on time by the author
truly shows how many take their time alive for granted and how quickly it goes by.
Such as when she chose to relive a day and she noticed how everyone wasn t really
taking everything in and enjoying themselves. The stage manager was the key
tool in translating the authors perspective of time to the readers and the acts being
few kind of shows how quickly and empty her life was. In a nutshell she was just a
young girl, then got married and died. The message I personally got from the play
was to live life to the fullest because I personally wouldn t want three relatively short
acts to describe my life from start to
Personal Evaluation Of An Individual
Overall success begins with understanding your own tendencies in a large
arrangement of categories. Teamwork is simply a group of individuals bring their
own personal styles together with the goal of building a single cohesive idea, which
could easily be derailed by conflicting personalities and hardheadedness. The future
prosperity of an organization depends on the success in the individuals and
teamwork. On an individual level, it is necessary to look at general personality,
motivation, decision making, values, and attitude. Strong tendencies in any of those
parts can dictate how someone may act in a group setting and understanding the
differences can allow people to be more tolerant to conflicting styles of work. By

When talking to people, I always feel the desire to define occasions or plans in time

though it did not have surprising results, was the one titled What s My Jungian 16

Summary Of Rebel Music By Daniel Felsenfeld
Rebel Music by: Daniel Felsenfeld
1.) Music clearly means a lot to Daniel, as stated in his passage. Daniel talks about
how he came from the least musical of families growing up, however, his mother
signed him up for piano lessons anyhow. Daniel played the piano for quite a while,
but eventually quit and worked in piano bars and theater orchestra pits at seventeen
years old. Daniel stated some afternoons he would go to his friend Mikes house
and listen to popular bands. One day, mike asked if he wanted to hear something
wild . The something wild was Beethoven s Ninth Symphony. I think this is a point
where the significance is clear. Daniel said that day was when he thought he
actually heard music for the first time. Daniel took mikes tapes and listened to
them in secret. He would blare Beethoven on the way to school, and quickly
change it to KROQ while pulling in. Daniel was so in love this new genre of music
he discovered, he decided to become a composer. He put in all the hard work: studied
scores, read biographies, and got a serious piano teacher. Now Daniel lives in New
York and is a composer of classical music for NewMusicBox. If Daniel never
listened to the something wild he might have never had this future of becoming a
composer.
4.) if I were going to design a visual for this essay it would be an eighth music note
surrounded by guitars, fire, and anything that represented heavy metal music. I would
do this because in the passage Daniel talks about how
Rheumatoid Arthritis And Treatment Of Arthritis Essay
Rheumatoid Arthritis or RA has been around since early humanity. Rheumatoid
arthritis is a chronic inflammatory joint disease, which can cause cartilage and bone
damage. Diseased joints have been found in well preserved Egyptian mummies.
Showing that arthritis was prevalent among Egyptians. Hippocrates a Greek
physician who is known for the Hippocratic oath, described the symptoms of arthritis.
It was not until 216 AD that the term rheumatismus was used to describe the joint
inflammation. Alfred Baring Garrod, an English physician, in the mid 1800s named
the disease, Rheumatoid Arthritisto help distinguish the disease from osteoarthritis
and gout. In 1932 the committee of Rheumatism was created and it later became the
American College of Rheumatology.
There is a difference between rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis. Rheumatoid
arthritis is a complex disease with many different symptoms. Even though both cause
joint pain they are both chronic and non curable diseases, they both have different
causes, symptoms, and prognoses. Rheumatoid arthritis is an autoimmune disorder
and osteoarthritis is a degenerative condition that is the results of increased wear on
joints. It is estimated that 27 million American have Osteoarthritis. Certain jobs or
things that require repetitive motion can cause the cartilage to wear down. The
different symptoms of osteoarthritis symptoms are joint pain that last less than thirty
minutes in the morning, possible spine and hip pain, and joint

Deathly forces of Power and Deceit In both The Tragedy of Othello and The
Tragedy of Macbeth, deceit and the need for power lead to death. Many emotions
such as hate, greed, and jealousy drive the characters actions. Deceit is powered by
jealousy and the need for power and is prominent in both plays and is a major cause
of the deaths. Shakespeare shows in both plays how a little trickery, jealousy, and
power can lead people to do things that they normally wouldn t do. In Macbeth,
Shakespeare shows how strong morals and values can be destroyed by deceitful
acts and power. The evil effects of jealousy and power can affect even people trusted
in high positions. The need for power is one of the most important forces in both
plays, but especially in Macbeth. Shakespeare quickly shows what will happen during
the The Tragedy of Macbeth, without all the details, by the witches telling Macbeth
his future. The witches say:
All hail, Macbeth! Hail to thee, Thane of Glamis!
All hail, Macbeth! Hail to thee, Thane of Cawdor!

Women do most of the invisible work in Corporate America. If this work were made
visible, men in Corporate America would not receive all the glory for the jobs they
have. As you see, educational attainment is a key ingredient to shattering the glass.
Women are beginning to see that the best way to get to the top of any type of
business is to create their own business. In women owned businesses today, the
women seem to accept any business background shortcomings and seek education
and training before they take the leap. Women try to base their decisions on logic
and on sound business decisions. They do not seem to shoot from the hip the way
many men do in the business world. In corporations that have dared to hire today s
businesswoman, it seems these women officials are easier to work with in a
consensus team building environment. Women tend to offer higher wages to their
employees and fight for better benefits for them as well. Women know the need for
flexible hours, childcare, and better insurance. All in all, it seems that women
understand the problems of their employees. They work hard to be number one and
in turn make their employees feel like they are number one to them.
In most corporations today, the glass ceiling goes unnoticed and certainly
unquestioned. Corporations boast of being a great place for women to work, but

face overcrowding everyday, and are forced to resort to denying prisoners or finding

Kathleen M. Kenyon s Life
INTRODUCTION Kathleen M. Kenyon is an archeologist of the twentieth century
that is well known and highly looked upon in her field. She came from a family with
influence and and connections to many different institutes and colleges. It is because
of her family s influence and connections that she was able to become well known
and one of the best excavators in Great Britain. Kathleen Kenyonwas born in London,
England, on January 5, in 1906 to her parents Fredric and Amy Kenyon after losing
two children at birth due, according to family tradition, to the incompetence of the
doctor where they lived in Harrowon the Hill, a suburb of London. She was the
older sibling between her and her sister. Her father was a biblical scholar who also
believed in the inspiration of the Word of God and became the Director of the
British Museum. Kathleen goes on to say about having her father as a Director of
the British Museum it was most useful to have the national collection at one s
disposal, added to which were the joys of accompanying my father by the light of an
electric torch to select books from the great catalogue in his Reading Room. She
enjoyed the access to material and studying she could do. Kathleen s mother was not
a scholar she was more artistic and musically talented. Amy s skills in painting and art
was a complement to her husband s scholarly detachment. Kathleen s mother was
very talented, she sang, sketched, and did different crafts like wood carving. Although
Waiting for Godot
1. How does the relationship between Vladimir and Estragon compare with the
relationship between Pozzo and Lucky? What is the effect created by the contrast
between these two pairs of characters? Is it significant that the characters appear in
pairs, rather than alone?
Waiting for Godot, written by Samuel Beckett, is a tragicomedy about two men
waiting for a person or thing named Godot. The play entitles two contrasting pairs of
characters, Vladimir and Estragon, Pozzo and Lucky. These sets of characters differ
greatly and they create effect of humanity. The main difference between the pair s
relationships would be their dependency on each other, their level of compatibility,
and their development throughout the play. Furthermore, both ... Show more content

Lastly, both pairs of characters can be compared by their development through the
play. Vladimir and Estragon do not develop at all throughout the discourse of the
play, whereas Pozzo and Lucky change dramatically from the first act to the second.
Vladimir and Estragon remain static characters throughout the play, and it is obvious
that their life is very repetitive. From the first act to the second, Vladimir and
Estragon are always waiting for Godot, their days are almost identical from one the
other. In both acts they contemplate suicide, saying that the next day they would
bring good rope to hang themselves. In both acts they meet Pozzo and Lucky, as
well as the boy. Whom all three say they have not seen them the previous day, this
indicates that they might have been doing this for many days that they have lost
count. Estragon also repetitively asks to leave but is reminded that they cannot, this
repetition of dialogue appears many time, which reinforces the idea that these actions
occur many more times than stated in the play. Another allusion that proves that
their lives are repetitive is when Vladimir talks to the boy. He asks It wasn t you that
came yesterday...This is your first time? pg.105, and the boy says that it is his first
time. This repetitiveness proves that Vladimir and Estragon are static characters. On
the contrary, Pozzo and Lucky are dynamic characters, as they change drastically

Forks Over Knives Analysis
The film Forks Over Knives begins with some pretty alarming statistics regarding
obesity, and clips of some inherently unhealthy food choices and very large
waistlines. One of the patients featured in the movie goes to two doctors that assess
his health, which is sub par, as his cholesterol is much higher than it should be. His
treatment was to adopt a Whole Foods/Plant Based diet.
The film illustrates a huge increase in calories from meat, dairy, and refined sugars
in the American diet from the early 1900 s over double in each category. A survey
among people on the streets states that people include meat in their diet because of
protein. The film then focuses on cholesterol, its impacts on the arteries, and how
much money is spent ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This is how the modern American diet, regardless of age, is portrayed in the entire
film. This diet will, of course, promote weight gain through excessive calories. This
diet will promote diabetes through insulin resistance, and the high cholesterol from
a large amount of animal fat will promote heart disease. The goal of the movie is to
support a vegan, whole foods diet. My problem with the film is that it only discusses
diet in terms of extremes. The patients represented in the film all had terrible habits
and practiced no moderation in terms of food intake, eating high amounts of salt,
meat, dairy, and few fresh foods. When switching to a completely plant based diet
without processed foods, many health problems were reversed and could be
managed through diet alone. The film does not discuss several issues that can
accompany a diet in which no animal foods are consumed: active B12 deficiency,
iron intake, vitamin D consumption and synthesis, and sources of essential fatty
acids EPA and DHA. The recommended diet by the American Dietetics Association
includes modest amounts of meat, dairy and animal fats, and every single patient in
the film exceeded intakes of those foods. What isn t covered in the film is the health
of individuals that consume a diet that adheres to recommendations, and I feel that
this film fails to address the effects of animal

How To Write A Recital Critique

watched the pipe organ recital performed by organist Kim Hee Sung. The recital
lasted about 2 hours and Kim Hee Sung performed three pieces which were My
Young Life Hath an End , Symphony No.2 in E minor, Op.20 and The Carnival of
the Animals . I listened to the whole recital with full interest as Kim Hee Sung
performed all of these songs beautifully and confidently. The very first song she
played was P. Sweelinick s My Young Life Hath an End which was written in the
year of 1562 1621. When the organist played this song I found the overall melody
of this piece was a bit dark and had sad feeling. The tempo was slow to medium
pace and mostly was played softly with mostly in low tone notes. As I listened to
this song I could imagine that the composer tried to represent his feeling of losing
his beautiful and memorable youth. Therefore, it seems that Sweelnickat has
composed this piece, so he can express to his audience that losing youth is painful
and miserable. Next piece in the performance was Symphony No.2 in E minor, Op
20 composed by L Vierne in 1870 1937. Since this piece is a Symphony it had 5
individual movements: Allegro, Choral, Scherzo, Cantabile and Final. Each
movement had various tone, melody and tempo. However, compared to... Show more

Fifty Shades Of Grey Themes
Fifty Shades of Grey is an elaborate film that ties love and romance with bondage and
discipline, dominance and submission, sadism and masochism (BDSM) (Leistner
Mark, 2016). This movie has a push/pull romantic relationship with an university
senior Anastasia (Ana) Steele and a muiti millionaire Christian Grey. Ana and
Christian are instantly attracted to each other however, their relationship throughout
the movie tends to be strictly sexually based. Ana is a hopeless romantic and

This is depicted throughout the entire film, from the first time the main characters
have sex all way to the end of the film. In addition, the role that each gender plays in
the movie is another theme that was portrayed in the film. BDSM within the film is
expressed as pleasurable and something that everyone will enjoy. With all the whips,
toys and ties that are mentioned or said within in the film it sounds amusing for
anyone. In addition, the contract (De Luca Johnson, 201) that is a fundamental base
line for Christian to be involved with Ana is poorly portrayed. Within the movie it is
seen not as a consent between both the dominant and submissive, however it is a rule
that is turned into a living, breathing, and at times uncomfortable interpersonal
experiences (Laurie Kean, 2015). In reality, this consent is something that both the
dominant and submissive agree to that will and will not happen when being involved
in BDSM not something that will alter one s life. BDSM is based on trust and
communication between the dominant and the submissive, which was lacked in the
film. Ana agreed to situations that she didn t know she was putting herself in, for
example punishment that Ana was going to receive because she was out of line (De
Luca Johnson, 2015). Here in the movie it was shown as whipping using a leather
belt on the butt, the tears and faces that she was making whilst it was happening
showed that it was not pleasurable. Here once again, BDSM was not presented
correctly. Research suggests that an important factor in maintaining sexual
satisfaction and relationship satisfaction is being able to communicate effectively
(Leistner, Mark, 2016), this is why at the end of the film, Ana ended the relationship
because communication was not there and she felt hurt and betrayed rather than
Theories Of Classical Political Economy
Economic system in the world is mostly productive in America this is due to the
constant unlimited wants of its people and the fact that most people have high
standards of living (Rosefielde, 2008). An individual has different wants and at any
particular time an individual can satisfy his or her wants through purchasing these
goods therefore there is an unlimited wants for goods and services. In recent times
people consume goods that they don t produce they sell or provide services then the
income they gain from the services they purchase the goods that they want to
consume. In this paper I will discuss the developed theories of the classical political
economy developed theories and discuss on their different characteristics. These
theories were mainly concerned with the changing aspects of economic growth in
different centuries. Classical political economy is the political economy during
industrial revolution from the 18th century to the 19th century. The theories of
classical political economy ask some specific questions whose answer creates the
differences between them. Some of the asked questions are what does the surplus
consist of and what defines its size, what is its origin, to whom is it distributed to,
what causes or rather defines its growth over time. In addition the economists also
ask what happens to the relative shares of surplus obtained by the various classes of
revenue appropriators as the surplus increases. Lastly how does the distributive

True Art Speaks Plainly, By Theodore Dreiser
The literary movement of realism addresses material in an accurate way that is true
to life, regardless of the moral boundaries which may be broken. Several authors have
undertaken efforts to define this movement in the most accurate and concise way
possible. Theodore Dreiser, in True Art Speaks Plainly , strives to identify those
components which are necessary to literature that is classified under the realism
movement. William Dean Howellss Editha is a literary work that reflects this
definitionof realism. Dreiser s arguments regarding the presence of immorality in
literature as a precondition for artistic honesty find an example in the actions of the
protagonist of Howells s story. Theodore Dreiser s True Art Speaks Plainly defines
realism as literature that speaks the truth regardless of its moral substance, and this
definition is observable in Howells s Editha through the corrupt motivations of the
protagonist, the critical portrayal of nation states at war, and the ugly manipulation
utilized by the protagonist.
Editha, the story s protagonist, uses weak moral arguments regarding virtue and
honor to support her selfish desire for recognition through another s sacrifice.
Throughout the story, the author reveals that she wants George to join the war
effort in a selfish desire for her own personal glory. Howells writes, But now, it
flashed upon her, if he could do something worthy to have won her be a hero, her
hero it would be even better than if he had done

parental conflict in relation to divorce is a societal concern. Children suffer potential

Racecar Drivers Vs Car Driving
Driving in circles is often one of the first things that comes to mind when someone
hears the word racecar driver. However, driving in circles is nowhere near a complete
explanation of what a racecar driver can do. Most people know racecar drivers drive
with the purpose of going fast. Their goal when drivinga racecar is to get from point
A to point B as fast as possible. They drive endless loops of a racing circuit to
improve previous lap times by milliseconds, just to say they were the fastest. This
is something that few understand, and racecar drivers have difficulty explaining
why this is their passion to others. It s almost as if they are looking into a different
boxcar than others. Sometimes when people think of a racecar driver, they think,
Can t anyone drive a car? or Oh driving in circles like NASCAR? That must be easy.
These answers couldn t be farther from the reality, and it s astonishing how unknown
the world of auto racingis to many people. Racing is not just driving per se. Racing
is the art of driving fast with a bunch of other like minded idiots, who all risk their
lives with the, widely misunderstood, willingness to endanger their life just to say
they beat the other guy. Racing and racecar drivers are entirely different from driving
on the street in a countless number of ways.
Throughout this paper a street driver will refer to someone who is not a racecar
driver, and a racecar driver will refer to someone who races cars.

Essay on Abortion Is Wrong
Each person has their own view concerning abortion, but the majority of people have
little knowledge about abortion. Abortion in teens is increasing every year, since
morality concerns no longer seem to carry much weight with teens. There are many
medical hazards associated with an abortion procedure. Americans feel that it is only
the mother s choice whether or not to abort the fetus. The legalization of abortions
occurred in 1973 after the Roe v. Wadecase was won by Roe1 . Norma McCorrey,
?Jane Roe,? claimed to have been raped and filed a lawsuit against DallasCounty
District Attorney, Henry Wade, for not allowing Roe to get the abortion

The right to life of neither the mother or the fetus can take precedence over that of
the other (Callahan 439). The fetus contains the same value as its mother in the
?Human Life Amendment.? This amendment conflicts with many moral issues
since many religions feel that if a mother?s life is in danger of dying then the child
should be aborted causing the mother to have precedence over the fetus. The
?Human Life Amendment? also states that abortion under any and all
circumstances would be considered murder. Even to preserve the life of a mother
or in the case of rape or incest abortion would be against the law of the land (Radl
90 91). If the people voted on this amendment it would be thrown out . There is
only a very small number of people who support the passing of the ?Human Life
Amendment.? Only the mother?s life should be weighed against the child?s.
Mostly because the mother has experienced life and the child has not. In society
people consider it cruel to kill a fetus at seven months old, but they consider it
moral to kill a fetus at only two months (Mensch and Freeman 44). There is not the
least bit of difference between a two month old fetus; and a seven month old fetus,
each is a living human life and has the same exact value. All embryos are babies and
all babies have a right to live. Some people feel that the fourth amendment excludes
the protective rights of killing a fetus

Traditional Gender Roles In Society
Imagine a world that s been evolved enough to forget traditional gender roles. A
world where people break from the molds and liberate themselves. That would be
progressive and productive. That is the kind of world that the future of our people
should strive for. Maybe there was a time that the human race needed these roles to
establish themselves, but now the times have changed. One by one, the stigmas
are breaking. Despite this, some molds are harder to break and need a little more
cracking to release the people from that specific roles. There are many categories
of which gender and culture can be dissected and redirected to a more progressive
outlook. (may have to take that out) To go into specifics, traditional gender roles in
the United States are inhibiting the progression of equal wages, social
expectations, and self acceptance. For decades, America has upkept traditional
gender roles. For example, one would have seen a family consisting of a man and
woman and a child or two. The man would go to work and ultimately be the sole
breadwinner of the family whilst the woman would take care of the children. Her
job would also entail cleaning the home and providing supper for her family when
her husband arrived home. Men would be thought to fix cars and build things whilst
females were given baby dolls and taught how to become a good mom. Men are
taught to toughen up and to stop crying. Often times, they aren t consoled properly if
they do happen to show any emotion that
Ferdinand Von Zeppelin
The Zeppelin is a type of rigid airship that was created by Ferdinand von Zeppelin
at Lake Constance, Germany in 1899. The first Zeppelin was 420 feet long and at
maximum velocity could go 17 miles per hour. (If any non Americans want
measurements here they are 128.016 meters and 27.3588 kilometers per hour).
This particular invention was created to solve a problem of a steerable and heavy

also played a large role in World War I
because it was used for bombing raids and
carrying cargo. Zeppelins also could be used for luxurious flights. Take the lz 129

(This is because of the Hindenburg incident which led to less popularity of the
Zeppelin Airship.) This invention was also used for the first civilian bombing in
history (as a military action anyhow). As of today we have a diminishing amount of
helium in our atmosphere, but the market is still large for balloons. (Not like the

Engagement Call to Action
The Daily Performance Kit drew relatively more attention and intrigue than the other
engagement concepts just within the context of the ad.
A few even brought it up unprompted as a point of interest

The Informant s Language Of Spanish
The informant s language of Spanish can affect the grammar of English Acquisition.
For example, Part Four focused on phonetics. Distinguishing different languages by
using phonetics is important because it allows teachers to examine the differences
between the sounds of source and target languages and explain this difference to
learners. In Part Four, we noticed one of the dialectical differences between the
English language and the Spanish language. The difference is that the Spanish
language has accent marks in the letters. Accent marks are essential to how we
pronounce words. This was also shown in Part Six. While observing the translation
of sentences between Spanish and English, my partner and I noticed that some words
were changed in Spanish to include accent marks. Accent marks change the letter
sounds. They help to determine how a letter is supposed to sound in words. For
example, The white mouse at bread and crackers translates to El ratГіn blanco comiГі
pan y galletas . Another dialectic difference that we came across was the different
alphabet. The Spanish alphabet contains letters that the English alphabet does not
such as: ch, ll, Г±, and rr. Lastly, the Spanish language also appears to have a shorter
sentence stress than the English language. Our informant said the words in her native
language and during that time she did not elongate the vowels instead, she said them
rapidly. In addition to how Spanish Grammar could affect English acquisition,

Head Louse Procedure In Children
The adult head louse has six legs and is about the size of a sesame seed. Descriptions
of their color vary, but generally they range from beige to gray and may become
considerably darker when they feed.
Lice often appear to be the same color as the hair they ve infested, making them hard
to see with the naked eye. You can spot them most easily in the areas behind the ears
and along the hairline on the back of the neck.
Female lice lay up to ten minuscule eggs a day. Lice eggs (called nits) are oval in
shape. They may appear to be the color of their host s hair, ranging from white to
yellow to brown.
The female louse attaches her eggs to human hair shafts with a waterproof, glue like
substance. This ensures that the nits can t be washed, brushed, ... Show more content

How to tell if your child get head lice?
Head lice can be difficult to detect, even when you closely inspect your child s head.
If you think your child may have head lice:
Check your child s hair. The most common places for head lice to lurk are in the hair
behind the ears and at the nape of the neck.
If you still can t spot any lice, comb the child s hair with a special nit comb. These
are available from most chemists. It s easier to spot head lice as they fall out if you
comb the hair over a piece of white paper.
How to treat head lice?
If head lice are present, you need to treat your child.
You should only treat your child if you find live head lice, which confirms a live
infestation. Don t treat just in case .
Head lice are tough. They can t be killed by washing with normal shampoo or
normal combing. Because they reproduce so quickly, you ve got to kill them before
they spread to others.
If your child has head lice, check everyone in the family. You ll need to treat
everyone affected to get rid of them.
You can treat head lice by wet combing hair with a special comb, or by using
medicated lotions or sprays available over the counter at
Essay Discrimination in America
Our world has always been faced with the problem of discrimination. It is one of
the most discussed topics nowadays and throughout history. In all countries there is
most likely at least one type of discrimination that affects different groups of
people. The definition of discrimination is the denial of opportunity or equal rights
for a specific group of people that may be differentiated by things such as their
religion, color of skin, or gender. The world we live in has been struggling with this
sensitive subject for as long as we the have record. Many people believe
discriminationhas made big steps forward, but has it really? If it has, why do people
still get turned down, receive hate mail, or get ridiculed simply because they... Show

At first I couldn t understand any special attitudes against me as an immigrant
because I didn t know what was considered right or wrong in this country and
culture. My first experience of discrimination was while I was working in an
amusement park as a ride operator and I couldn t get my salary because of a mix
up with my social security card. Although I was completely eligible, people gave
me an unnecessarily harder time than other students that looked, acted, or sounded
more American. This caused me a lot of time and stress, which was very
unfortunate. Almost every day I was standing in long lines, calling and waiting on
hold for hours, but nobody wanted to listen or understand me because I was an
immigrant that couldn t talk on their terms. Anyway, instead of losing hope, I just
moved forward. To answer the question Do I still feel discriminated against as an
immigrant three years later? I would probably say yes. In fact, it is possible that I
may always feel like an other as long as I live in the United States. I can argue about
this question all my life. Of course, I have the right to say I am American, as I go
to an American college, live in America and have American friends, but I will never
avoid the question Where are you from? Discrimination is a type of feeling and
mentality and not just a stereotype of human beings or specific
Alexander The Great Greek Influence
During his campaigns, Alexander the Great founded many cities in which he settled
the soldiers who were wounded or too old to continue with him in his conquest.
Following his death, Alexander s empire was broken up between his successors, the
Diadochi. Ultimately, after decades of conflict between the successors, Alexander s
territory was split into three kingdoms: Greece and Macedonia under the Antigonids;
Egypt under the Ptolemies; and Asia Minor under the Seleucids. Along with the cities
founded by Alexander, the establishment of the Greek kingdoms began the mass
dissemination of Greek culture known as the Hellenistic Age. The Hellenistic Age
was a time of great transition, and one of its greatest influences was the philosophy of

They held that God is animate, rational, sentient, and wise. Critics of this Stoic
doctrine argued that such a god could not exist. They claimed that only animals exist,
and that all animals are sentient and perishable. God is not perishable, so God is not
an animal. Thus, God in the Stoic sense does not exist. The critics of Stoicism
inferred that God is imperishable. They presume that the Stoics want to retain the
common conception of god as immortal or everlasting and to combine this with a set
of divine attributes that are inconsistent with immortality and everlastingness (Long).
In Stoic texts regarding divinity, however, immortality is notably absent. Stoics
instead held that while the world is not everlasting, its life is so immensely long and
stable that its temporality becomes irrelevant. Divine attributes such as supreme
goodness and happiness are not dependent upon an infinite lifetime. The Stoics
believed that, like all living beings, the universe has a limited

Embalming By Jessica Mitford Analysis
The purpose of this essay presented by Jessica Mitford is to inform people of
procedures that are being done when embalming a corpse. She explains that most
people pay a lot of money each year, and yet not one in ten thousand has any idea of
what actually takes place , and the books related to this subject or any information
are extremely hard to obtain. She adds, there must be a good reason why they keep
these procedures secret and if people knew they would not want these procedures
performed. Mitford states that traditional embalming in America took place at the
home of the deceased, and most times a relative was present during such procedure.
In present day this procedure is done by professionals and all others, but students, are
not allowed by law in the preparation room.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

The procedure is done by a certified mortician who obtained his/her certificate from
an embalming school which normally takes nine to twelve months to complete.
The preparation room is filled with surgical equipment: scalpels, scissors, augers,
forceps, clamps, needles, pumps, tubes, bowls, and basin . Also there are
advanced chemicals present, fluids, sprays, oils, powders, and creams which help
soften or dry tissue. Various cosmetics, waxes, and paints are used to mask any
imperfections, even plaster to replace entire body parts. The first step of embalming
requires removing all fluids including the blood and in the right hands of a
professional this is done relatively quickly. Slight cuts are made here and there in,
blood is drained and replaced with embalming fluid. By removing all the blood out
and replacing it with embalming fluid helps disinfect and prevent body from further

  • 1. Political Argumentative Essay Topics Crafting an essay on the subject of "Political Argumentative Essay Topics" can be a challenging endeavor that requires a careful balance of research, critical thinking, and persuasive writing. The difficulty lies in navigating the intricate landscape of political issues, selecting a compelling topic, and presenting a well-structured argument that engages readers. Firstly, the sheer breadth of political topics available for exploration can be overwhelming. From global geopolitics to domestic policy issues, the range is vast, making the selection of a specific topic a daunting task. It requires a thorough understanding of current events, political theory, and the ability to identify issues that are both relevant and thought-provoking. Furthermore, delving into political arguments demands meticulous research. It is essential to gather information from credible sources, analyze various perspectives, and synthesize complex ideas into a coherent narrative. The ever-changing nature of politics adds an additional layer of challenge, as staying up-to-date with the latest developments is crucial for crafting an informed and relevant argument. Additionally, the task involves the skillful use of rhetoric and persuasion. The essay must not only present a well-reasoned argument but also anticipate counterarguments and effectively address them. The writer must navigate the delicate balance between passion and objectivity, avoiding biased language while still conveying a compelling stance. Moreover, political topics often evoke strong emotions and diverse opinions. Writing an argumentative essay in this context requires diplomatic handling of differing viewpoints, acknowledging nuances, and maintaining a respectful tone. Striking this balance is vital to ensure the essay remains persuasive rather than alienating potential readers. • 2. Virtual Teams Vs. Virtual Team Abstract Teams have always contributed significantly towards the successful operation of any organization. Traditionally, team members had to endure the challenges of time, distance, and even cultural differences in order to successfully complete a team activity. However, recent advancements in technology have led to the birth of virtual teams. The paper aims to explore the effectiveness and differences of virtual teams as compared to face to face teams. The evaluation will be on the basis of dimensions such as performance, cohesion, conflict, trust and satisfaction among others. Introduction Due to the recent increased utilization of information communication technology in organizations, there has been a rising trend of the adoption of virtual teams. These teams have helped organizations conduct their businesses in a very effective way. In furtherance of that, these teams have also helped in enhancing the speed at which communication is carried out. For instance, team members in different countries or continents can actually contribute ideas for a project in real time via electronic means. However, these groups have faced some criticisms which have made them to be underutilized. Some of the issues raised against these teams include lack of involvement and inclusiveness, lack of trust, lack of employees with technical and interpersonal skills and lack of cohesion among others. Past research has revealed that virtual teams have proved to be effective, especially in
  • 3. Endothelial Cells Essay Introduction If the endothelium were to be considered an organ, it would be without a doubt the largest, with its 6 trillion cells, area of 5000m2, and 1kg weight. With knowledge of the endothelium stemming back to the early 1600s with William Harvey s work on the circulation as a closed circuit with a pump and Marcello Malpighi s observations of blood capillaries, the focus over the next 400 years was mainly on the pump itself, leading to the creation of a major clinical field cardiology. Although scientists were aware of blood vessels and their role in circulation, it wasn t until the early 1960s that the endothelium was able to be seen with electron microscopy and therefore be differentiated and characterized.1 The recognition of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Hematologists are all too aware of the role of the endothelium in atherosclerosis, while hepatologists recognize the important of sinusoidal endothelial cells for liver regeneration. The uniqueness of the endothelium coupled with the difficulties caused by a lack of a clinical field has lead to a series of unforeseen and surprising discoveries. The simple classification of the endothelial cells themselves pose challenges. The endothelium is, anatomically speaking, the inner lining of the blood and lymphatic vessels.3 However, many characteristic structures such as fenestrae are not present on every endothelial cell, and other features, e.g. caveolae, are not specific to the endothelium. There are also other cells that form the inner lining of the blood vessels, and therefore molecular markers are instead being used to differentiate. Furthermore, endothelial cells arise from the mesoderm via hemangioblasts, however they may differentiate instead into hematopoietic stem cells, and the endothelial progenitors may themselves differentiate into other cell lineages. Due to these difficulties endothelial cells are instead recognized with endothelium specific markers such as vascular endothelial (VE) cadherin, E selectin, and vascular endothelial growth factor receptors (VEGFR) 1 and 2.4 Even so, endothelial cells are typically considered quiescent at the same time as the endothelium of the corpus luteum undergoes cycles of intense physiological

  • 6. Theodore Roosevelt s Accomplishments Twenty sixth U.S. President Theodore Roosevelt, the man the teddy bear was named after, was one of the most influential presidents in American history. Roosevelt was forty two when he took office, succeeding the death of President William McKinley who was shot and killed. Roosevelt was a very young president at the time, in fact, one of the youngest. His young age worried many people, but he still brought many very strong credentials. Before Roosevelt took office he had about twenty five years experience in politics. Roosevelt was a very argumentative person, some say to an annoying extent (Carnes and Garraty 556). He did not really care about others opinions or what resolutions they had to offer, whether it was from an expert opinion or not. Hoover refused that federal funds be used for the relief of individuals, even though the national government solely had the power and credit to deal with the problem (Carnes and Garraty 672). Hoover tried to stress that funds needed to be balanced, meaning that people who had the extra money needed to donate it. This did not work because people did not trust his plans and they were not going to get anything out of it. During this depression President Hoover was not open minded enough. He relied too much on his own decisions and did not take others into consideration. Hoover failed to bring back the economy and instead of sympathy he portrayed resentment against his concerns (Carnes and Garraty

Leggio first joined with the help of the Capo, Michele Navarra, in 1943. He was known for being violent, especially because of his most famous homicide of trade unionist Placido Rizzotto, which he was never convicted for despite the overwhelming evidence. Leggio liked to stay invisible, to not just the authorities, but to other mafiabosses. Leggio began having altercations over land with Navarra in 1958, when Navarra sent men to kill him. Leggio returned to mafia activity, and in 1969 he was offered a spot on the Commission of Cosa Nostra. The Commission consists of only three individuals, Leggio, Gaetano Badalamenti, who had connections across the Atlantic, and was one of the men who was in the party that made the rules for the Commission, and Stefano Bontate, who was the Capo of the most prominent family in Palermo. Leggio and the Corleonesi worked their way up to be a part of Commission, which is arguably the highest position of honor one can have in the Sicilian mafia. The reason this is important is because with the Commission in effect, it led to the hierarchal structure of the mafia that we learned through Tommaso Buscetta. Leggio was the one to thank for the rise of the Corleonesi in the

Bill Clinton, born in August, 1949, was ready for political world at 17 when he shook president John F. Kennedy s hand on a trip to DC. After five terms as governor of Arkansas, he knew that his aspiration one day to be president could happen, but he must work hard. After some time, Clinton became governor of Arkansas while working closely with his wife. He was criticized for some of his decisions, but overall it was a typical president versus media relationship, until his second term. In 1998, the media coverage of Bill Clinton went from mild to extremely harsh when the Lewinsky scandal emerged. The press was strident when it came to finding information about the sex scandal. Reports would surround Clinton and the first lady trying to oust comments out of them. However, this did not get worse until the president lied under oath with his famous line, I did not have sexual relations with that woman... , and the president was impeached. The press had a field day by making jokes, and over analyzing every little thing the president did. Overall, Bill Clinton and the media did not have a harmonious relationship and still do not to this day. In the first year of Clinton s presidency, he was able to entice Congress to get some of the things done that he promised in his campaign. Clinton was able to persuade them to raise taxes on the wealthy. He was able to wheedle the Senate to ratify the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA), which helped create thousands of jobs. He was also able to convince them to pass bills to aid parents and to combat violent crime. Clinton was able to fulfill some of the promises of his campaign in that first year, and his relationship with Congress was simply Clinton persuading both houses. However, in the mid term
  • 9. Misogyny In Witch Hunts Overall women made up around 75% of those who were executed for witchcraft. Yet the fact that a significant proportion of accused witches were men does not undercut the idea that misogyny was a factor in the witch hunts. Social structures had the ability to influence these witch hunts. The change in this social and economic balance shifted and so did the common concept of a witch s gender. Women gaining power threatened the male dominated society. This common subordination during the period may not have been shown by the number of accused but by the number of executed women. Witches were believed to be described as ..women...those named as witches (94.7 percent) (Holmes, 2001). Women had been expressed to have a connection to folk magic and healing in the Malleus Maleficarum (published in 1486), a type of good magic. • 10. Darden Property What is law? Law is a set of rules that are laid down by the state and backed up by enforcement (Reed, Pagnattaro, Cahoy, Shedd, and Morehead, 2013, p.6). These set of rules were made to take away the diversity amongst people. Laws are a set of guidelines that are to be followed by every citizen. Under each law, people are required to be treated equally regardless of any differences that may appear amongst a group of people. The law applies to everyone, including the law maker and the law enforcement. • 13. Time In The Play Our Town If a book were to tell someone s life, how could you tell if it was the next day or the next year? Usually authors have different strategies to give readers an idea of how much time has passed. However, this is especially harder in plays because the perception of time to readers is mainly dependent on the verbal script of the characters. In the play Our Town by Thornton Wilder, his usage of the concept of time is incorporated by major life events such as their life as children, the wedding and a funeral with the help of the stage manager and the title of the acts. To begin with the play is essentially about the lives of two neighboring families, the title of the first act Daily lives is appropriate and telling of the beginning of the play. • 15. Summary Of Rebel Music By Daniel Felsenfeld Rebel Music by: Daniel Felsenfeld 1.) Music clearly means a lot to Daniel, as stated in his passage. Daniel talks about how he came from the least musical of families growing up, however, his mother signed him up for piano lessons anyhow. Daniel played the piano for quite a while, but eventually quit and worked in piano bars and theater orchestra pits at seventeen years old. Daniel stated some afternoons he would go to his friend Mikes house and listen to popular bands. One day, mike asked if he wanted to hear something wild . The something wild was Beethoven s Ninth Symphony. I think this is a point where the significance is clear. Daniel said that day was when he thought he actually heard music for the first time. Daniel took mikes tapes and listened to them in secret. He would blare Beethoven on the way to school, and quickly change it to KROQ while pulling in. Daniel was so in love this new genre of music he discovered, he decided to become a composer. He put in all the hard work: studied scores, read biographies, and got a serious piano teacher. Now Daniel lives in New York and is a composer of classical music for NewMusicBox. If Daniel never listened to the something wild he might have never had this future of becoming a composer. 4.) if I were going to design a visual for this essay it would be an eighth music note surrounded by guitars, fire, and anything that represented heavy metal music. In Macbeth, Shakespeare shows how strong morals and values can be destroyed by deceitful acts and power. The evil effects of jealousy and power can affect even people trusted in high positions. The need for power is one of the most important forces in both plays, but especially in Macbeth. It is reported that most of the overcrowding occurs in urban jails (e.g. The Tombs in NYC, the Cook County Jail in Chicago, the Los Angeles County Jail and the Old District of Columbia Jail) (Siegel Bartillo, 2014). The main issue associated with overcrowding is inmate idleness. It is because of her family s influence and connections that she was able to become well known and one of the best excavators in Great Britain. Kathleen Kenyonwas born in London, England, on January 5, in 1906 to her parents Fredric and Amy Kenyon after losing two children at birth due, according to family tradition, to the incompetence of the doctor where they lived in Harrowon the Hill, a suburb of London. She was the older sibling between her and her sister. Her father was a biblical scholar who also believed in the inspiration of the Word of God and became the Director of the British Museum. Kathleen goes on to say about having her father as a Director of the British Museum it was most useful to have the national collection at one s disposal, added to which were the joys of accompanying my father by the light of an electric torch to select books from the great catalogue in his Reading Room. She enjoyed the access to material and studying she could do. Kathleen s mother was not a scholar she was more artistic and musically talented. Amy s skills in painting and art was a complement to her husband s scholarly detachment. Kathleen s mother was very talented, she sang, sketched, and did different crafts like wood carving. Although

What is the effect created by the contrast between these two pairs of characters? Is it significant that the characters appear in pairs, rather than alone? Waiting for Godot, written by Samuel Beckett, is a tragicomedy about two men waiting for a person or thing named Godot. The play entitles two contrasting pairs of characters, Vladimir and Estragon, Pozzo and Lucky. These sets of characters differ greatly and they create effect of humanity. Vladimir and Estragon do not develop at all throughout the discourse of the play, whereas Pozzo and Lucky change dramatically from the first act to the second. Vladimir and Estragon remain static characters throughout the play, and it is obvious that their life is very repetitive. From the first act to the second, Vladimir and Estragon are always waiting for Godot, their days are almost identical from one the other. In both acts they contemplate suicide, saying that the next day they would bring good rope to hang themselves. In both acts they meet Pozzo and Lucky, as well as the boy. Whom all three say they have not seen them the previous day, this indicates that they might have been doing this for many days that they have lost count. Estragon also repetitively asks to leave but is reminded that they cannot, this repetition of dialogue appears many time, which reinforces the idea that these actions occur many more times than stated in the play. Another allusion that proves that their lives are repetitive is when Vladimir talks to the boy. He asks It wasn t you that came yesterday...This is your first time? pg.105, and the boy says that it is his first time. This repetitiveness proves that Vladimir and Estragon are static characters. On the contrary, Pozzo and Lucky are dynamic characters, as they change drastically from the first act to the

One of the patients featured in the movie goes to two doctors that assess his health, which is sub par, as his cholesterol is much higher than it should be. His treatment was to adopt a Whole Foods/Plant Based diet. The film illustrates a huge increase in calories from meat, dairy, and refined sugars in the American diet from the early 1900 s over double in each category. This is how the modern American diet, regardless of age, is portrayed in the entire film. This diet will, of course, promote weight gain through excessive calories. This diet will promote diabetes through insulin resistance, and the high cholesterol from a large amount of animal fat will promote heart disease. The goal of the movie is to support a vegan, whole foods diet. My problem with the film is that it only discusses diet in terms of extremes. The patients represented in the film all had terrible habits and practiced no moderation in terms of food intake, eating high amounts of salt, meat, dairy, and few fresh foods. When switching to a completely plant based diet without processed foods, many health problems were reversed and could be managed through diet alone. The film does not discuss several issues that can accompany a diet in which no animal foods are consumed: active B12 deficiency, iron intake, vitamin D consumption and synthesis, and sources of essential fatty acids EPA and DHA. The recommended diet by the American Dietetics Association includes modest amounts of meat, dairy and animal fats, and every single patient in the film exceeded intakes of those foods. What isn t covered in the film is the health of individuals that consume a diet that adheres to recommendations, and I feel that this film fails to address the effects of animal

The recital lasted about 2 hours and Kim Hee Sung performed three pieces which were My Young Life Hath an End , Symphony No.2 in E minor, Op.20 and The Carnival of the Animals . I listened to the whole recital with full interest as Kim Hee Sung performed all of these songs beautifully and confidently. The very first song she played was P. Sweelinick s My Young Life Hath an End which was written in the year of 1562 1621. When the organist played this song I found the overall melody of this piece was a bit dark and had sad feeling. The tempo was slow to medium pace and mostly was played softly with mostly in low tone notes. As I listened to this song I could imagine that the composer tried to represent his feeling of losing his beautiful and memorable youth. Therefore, it seems that Sweelnickat has composed this piece, so he can express to his audience that losing youth is painful and miserable. Next piece in the performance was Symphony No.2 in E minor, Op 20 composed by L Vierne in 1870 1937. With all the whips, toys and ties that are mentioned or said within in the film it sounds amusing for anyone. In addition, the contract (De Luca Johnson, 201) that is a fundamental base line for Christian to be involved with Ana is poorly portrayed. Within the movie it is seen not as a consent between both the dominant and submissive, however it is a rule that is turned into a living, breathing, and at times uncomfortable interpersonal experiences (Laurie Kean, 2015). In reality, this consent is something that both the dominant and submissive agree to that will and will not happen when being involved in BDSM not something that will alter one s life. BDSM is based on trust and communication between the dominant and the submissive, which was lacked in the film. Ana agreed to situations that she didn t know she was putting herself in, for example punishment that Ana was going to receive because she was out of line (De Luca Johnson, 2015). Here in the movie it was shown as whipping using a leather belt on the butt, the tears and faces that she was making whilst it was happening showed that it was not pleasurable. Here once again, BDSM was not presented correctly. Research suggests that an important factor in maintaining sexual satisfaction and relationship satisfaction is being able to communicate effectively (Leistner, Mark, 2016), this is why at the end of the film, Ana ended the relationship because communication was not there and she felt hurt and betrayed rather than

The right to life of neither the mother or the fetus can take precedence over that of the other (Callahan 439). The fetus contains the same value as its mother in the ?Human Life Amendment.? This amendment conflicts with many moral issues since many religions feel that if a mother?s life is in danger of dying then the child should be aborted causing the mother to have precedence over the fetus. The ?Human Life Amendment? also states that abortion under any and all circumstances would be considered murder. Even to preserve the life of a mother or in the case of rape or incest abortion would be against the law of the land (Radl 90 91). If the people voted on this amendment it would be thrown out . There is only a very small number of people who support the passing of the ?Human Life Amendment.? Only the mother?s life should be weighed against the child?s. Mostly because the mother has experienced life and the child has not. • 40. The Informant s Language Of Spanish The informant s language of Spanish can affect the grammar of English Acquisition. For example, Part Four focused on phonetics. Distinguishing different languages by using phonetics is important because it allows teachers to examine the differences between the sounds of source and target languages and explain this difference to learners. In Part Four, we noticed one of the dialectical differences between the English language and the Spanish language. The difference is that the Spanish language has accent marks in the letters. Accent marks are essential to how we pronounce words. This was also shown in Part Six. While observing the translation of sentences between Spanish and English, my partner and I noticed that some words were changed in Spanish to include accent marks. Accent marks change the letter sounds. They help to determine how a letter is supposed to sound in words. For example, The white mouse at bread and crackers translates to El ratГіn blanco comiГі pan y galletas . Another dialectic difference that we came across was the different alphabet. The Spanish alphabet contains letters that the English alphabet does not such as: ch, ll, Г±, and rr. Lastly, the Spanish language also appears to have a shorter sentence stress than the English language. Our informant said the words in her native language and during that time she did not elongate the vowels instead, she said them rapidly. In addition to how Spanish Grammar could affect English acquisition, Spanish

At first I couldn t understand any special attitudes against me as an immigrant because I didn t know what was considered right or wrong in this country and culture. My first experience of discrimination was while I was working in an amusement park as a ride operator and I couldn t get my salary because of a mix up with my social security card. Although I was completely eligible, people gave me an unnecessarily harder time than other students that looked, acted, or sounded more American. This caused me a lot of time and stress, which was very unfortunate. Almost every day I was standing in long lines, calling and waiting on hold for hours, but nobody wanted to listen or understand me because I was an immigrant that couldn t talk on their terms. Anyway, instead of losing hope, I just moved forward. To answer the question Do I still feel discriminated against as an immigrant three years later? I would probably say yes. In fact, it is possible that I may always feel like an other as long as I live in the United States. I can argue about this question all my life. Of course, I have the right to say I am American, as I go to an American college, live in America and have American friends, but I will never avoid the question Where are you from? Discrimination is a type of feeling and mentality and not just a stereotype of human beings or specific
  • 43. Alexander The Great Greek Influence During his campaigns, Alexander the Great founded many cities in which he settled the soldiers who were wounded or too old to continue with him in his conquest. Following his death, Alexander s empire was broken up between his successors, the Diadochi. Ultimately, after decades of conflict between the successors, Alexander s territory was split into three kingdoms: Greece and Macedonia under the Antigonids; Egypt under the Ptolemies; and Asia Minor under the Seleucids. Along with the cities founded by Alexander, the establishment of the Greek kingdoms began the mass dissemination of Greek culture known as the Hellenistic Age. The Hellenistic Age was a time of great transition, and one of its greatest influences was the philosophy of Stoicism.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... They held that God is animate, rational, sentient, and wise. Critics of this Stoic doctrine argued that such a god could not exist. They claimed that only animals exist, and that all animals are sentient and perishable. God is not perishable, so God is not an animal. Thus, God in the Stoic sense does not exist. The critics of Stoicism inferred that God is imperishable. They presume that the Stoics want to retain the common conception of god as immortal or everlasting and to combine this with a set of divine attributes that are inconsistent with immortality and everlastingness (Long). In Stoic texts regarding divinity, however, immortality is notably absent. Stoics instead held that while the world is not everlasting, its life is so immensely long and stable that its temporality becomes irrelevant. Divine attributes such as supreme goodness and happiness are not dependent upon an infinite lifetime. The Stoics believed that, like all living beings, the universe has a limited

She explains that most people pay a lot of money each year, and yet not one in ten thousand has any idea of what actually takes place , and the books related to this subject or any information are extremely hard to obtain. She adds, there must be a good reason why they keep these procedures secret and if people knew they would not want these procedures performed. Mitford states that traditional embalming in America took place at the home of the deceased, and most times a relative was present during such procedure.
