Essay About Ethics
Crafting an essay on the subject of ethics is a challenging endeavor that demands a deep
understanding of moral principles, values, and the complex interplay between individual beliefs
and societal norms. This topic requires the writer to navigate through a myriad of ethical theories,
such as consequentialism, deontology, and virtue ethics, and to critically analyze their
applications in real-life scenarios.
One of the difficulties in writing such an essay lies in the subjective nature of ethics. The
definition of what is considered morally right or wrong can vary widely among individuals and
cultures. This inherent subjectivity adds a layer of complexity to the task, as the writer must
grapple with the nuances of different perspectives while maintaining a coherent and convincing
argument.
Furthermore, delving into the historical evolution of ethical thought and exploring contemporary
ethical dilemmas requires thorough research and a nuanced understanding of the ever-changing
landscape of moral philosophy. The writer must be adept at synthesizing information from
various sources, critically evaluating different viewpoints, and presenting a well-informed and
balanced analysis.
Addressing ethical issues also necessitates a high level of sensitivity and empathy. The writer
must carefully navigate potentially controversial topics, respecting diverse viewpoints while also
advocating for a thoughtful and principled stance. Striking the right balance between objectivity
and personal conviction is a delicate task that requires finesse and careful consideration.
In addition, maintaining clarity and coherence in the essay is crucial. Given the abstract and
philosophical nature of the topic, it is easy for the discussion to become convoluted or esoteric.
Effective communication of complex ideas is essential to ensure that the reader can follow the
argument and grasp the significance of the ethical considerations being explored.
In conclusion, composing an essay on ethics is a formidable challenge that demands intellectual
rigor, research acumen, and a profound understanding of the complexities inherent in moral
reasoning. Navigating the intricate landscape of ethical philosophy while maintaining clarity and
sensitivity requires a skilled and thoughtful approach.

Homeless Children In The Foster Care System
Our world needs somebody who would look out for the most vulnerable groups in
the society. There s a high rate of homelessness among the children who was been
in the foster care but age out. The window of opportunity for these children are
very short so every little help they can get is important. These children was brought
to this world and many of them didn t even had a chance to enjoy their childhood
because they spent most of their early age waiting for somebody who would accept
and give them the love that they been looking for and definitely needed after the
tragedy that they experienced before going to foster caresystem. For those whose
planning to have a children or those who are in better position to support someone s

Gestalt And Humanistic Modes Of Thought
Gestalt and humanistic modes of thought share the idea that people have free will
and are able to make their own choices in life; also, a high importance is placed on a
person s experiences and personal viewpoint (Hergenhahn Henley, 2014).
Phenomenology, or the introspective analysis of whole conceptual experiences,
features prominently in both ideologies (Hergenhahn Henley, 2014). Another shared
viewpoint is that humanbeings are unique, and as such there is a limit to what can be
learned from other humans, or from the study of animals (Hergenhahn Henley, 2014).
The thoughtthat people are too complex to be studied with normal scientific
methodology is another shared tenet.
The main difference between these two ideologies is the basic premise of human
nature. Humanistic psychology s primary belief is that human nature is intrinsically
good and that their default would be to naturally get along with other people
(Hergenhahn Henley, 2014). For Gestalt type psychology, the basis of human nature
is mainly neutral, and people then have to exercise choice in order to become
something else. Coming to understand one s own mortality as a way to live life is
part of Gestalt psychology, whereas for humanistic psychology it is not considered as
important to human actuality (Hergenhahn Henley, 2014).
The application and connection of a humanistic understanding of learning and how it
applies to leadership roles also shares some similarities with Gestalt psychology.

Infiniti s Athletic Midsize Sedan
Infiniti s athletic midsize sedan can now be had in an extended wheelbase version.
The elongated model delivers best in class rear seat legroom.
The luxury market is an intensely competitive one with BMW, Mercedes Benz, and
Lexus seated amongst the top sellers. The first two marques rely on diesels to
supplement their gasoline offerings; Lexus augments its standard models with hybrids.
Further down the luxury sales line Audi, Acura and Cadillac do battle, followed by
Infiniti sitting in a distant seventh place.
Infiniti may trail the leaders, but it has come on strong of late. For the second
consecutive year Infiniti has achieved record sales, rising by 13.8 percent in 2015.

The extra inches benefit rear legroom, providing 41.8 inches of space for the three
rear seating passengers. Not quite matching limousine proportions, but very close
indeed and you can cross your legs. So, despite not having a flagship sedan to
compete with the BMW 7 Series, Lexus LS, or the Mercedes Benz S Class, the Q70L
offers a reasonable alternative.
That alternative is marked by a handsome visage with a bold grille, a muscular hood,
and strong shoulders. From its sides, the Q70L offers a stately appearance with its
long flowing lines, rising belt line, and rocker panel ornamentation. Handsome dual
quad aluminum alloy wheels and chrome accents provide this model with added
expressiveness.
The roofline flows into the raised rear deck that deck is accented by chrome
embellishments, wraparound combination lamps, and dual exhaust tips. Distinctive
embrasures front and rear as well as stylish LED light treatments add visual appeal to
this already striking model.
Luxuriant and Sensibly Appointed Cabin
Inside, the cabin is bright, orderly and uncomplicated. And that s a good thing: some
luxury manufacturers have gone tech happy (or mad), making such vehicles less than
user friendly.
The Infiniti Q70L is marked by flowing interior lines across the dashboard, on the

The Sql Server Integration Services ( Ssis )
Integration While administrators could populate the initial database information
manually or user s key in the data as it is used, it is far more efficient to
prepopulate the database from other sources of information. One common way of
doing this is through the SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) which offers a set
of tools to load externally sourced information into a database. SSIS may be used to
integrate many different type of external data sources, while applying complex
business rules and workflow logic (Akkawi, 2014, p. 320) and has two major
components. First the Import and Export wizard is a tool that walks the user through
a step by step process to aid in database integration. The wizard defines a source and
destination for the data and maps between them with limited manipulation. While it is
a relatively quick and easy tool its functionality is limited to the options available
within the wizards. More extensive functionality is offered by the second component,
the SQL Server Data Tools (SSDT) which is a, comprehensive development
environment that caters to more complex data integration situations (Akkawi, 2014,
p. 320). This environment allows the user to add tools catering to various data
sources and different ways of manipulating the dataflow. Within a graphical
environment the user can create a complex interaction flow representing how data is
obtained, manipulated or processed, and then stored. Any user comfortable with

Essay on The Battle of Takur Ghar
Introduction The Battle of Takur Ghar, or Roberts Ridge, as it s more
affectionately called by members of the US military, occurred on March 3 4th
2002. Takur Ghar translates from Pashto as Tall Mountain . The battle became the
most memorable part of a much larger operation called Anaconda. The battle
started when Navy SEAL, Petty Officer First Class Neil Roberts fell from a MH
47E Chinook, on an attempted landing to an unknowingly hot LZ, when he lost his
footing due to a combination of RPG blast and spilled hydraulic fluid of the
mangled aircraft. Razor 03, the call sign of the Chinook was eventually forced to

Enemy and organizations involved Many elite forces from around the world came
together for operation Anaconda. The focal point of the operation was the Lower
Shahikot Valley, which housed and protected a large number of foreign fighters
Afghan Arabs from al Qaeda, Uzbeks, Tajiks, and Chechens from the Islamic
Movements of Uzbekistan (IMU) 5. Takur Ghar was the highest point overlooking
the Shahikot Valley and was a key terrain to capture for the mission. A noted
Afghanistan specialist, Lester Grau, believes there were initially 600 estimated
enemy fighters in the valley, which tallied with other credible sources6. The valley
was protected by multilayered defenses. At the entrances to the valley, the

Chinese Consumers Perception of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)
Bala Ramasamy Mathew Yeung
ABSTRACT. The findings of this article increase our understanding of corporate
social responsibility from the consumers perspective in a Chinese setting. Based on
primary data collected via a self administered survey in Shanghai and Hong Kong
and results of similar studies conducted in Europe and the United States, we provide
evidence to show that Chinese consumers are more supportive of CSR. We also
show that Carroll s pyramid of responsibilities can be applied in China. We evaluated
the importance placed by Chinese consumers on the four ... Show more content on

(3) Are Chinese consumers able to differentiate between the various responsibilities
of businesses as laid out by Carrol (1979)? In particular, are the underlying factors
/measures of CSR found in Western countries, i.e. economic, legal, ethical and
philanthropic responsibilities apply to Chinese consumers? (4) How and why does
the relative importance among these factors in China differ from the Western
context? The п¬Ѓndings and implications of this study is important not only to
Chinese businesses as they wrestle with CSR as a strategic component of business,
but also to Western businesses as they plough large amounts of investments into
China to take advantage of the burgeoning consumer market. The next section
provides an overview of the literature on CSR and the consumer s perspective in
particular. In the third section, we explain the data and methodology used in this
article. Next section provides the results of our analysis while п¬Ѓfth section
discusses these results. We end the article by providing some implications for
businesses and limitations of the study. Literature review CSR: definitional issues

I Am Bohai s Annexation To China
I am Bohai, a 37 year old Buddhist from China. I strongly believe in the Buddhists
principles of karma and rebirth. Also, I am an imported laborer from China. In
fact, I am a cane cutter on a sugar plantation in Maui. I came to Hawaii for a higher
wage so I can bring my loving family to Maui to live with me. There are 200 other
workers on the plantation that are either Japanese or Chinese. I have 2 wonderful
children, Chao and Fai, as well as my beautiful wife, Chunhua. They are in China till
I have enough money and the ability to bring them to Hawaiito live with me.
Furthermore, the weather is incredible and I have already made more money in one
month in Hawaii, then I would in a year in China.
I do support annexation of Hawaii if I get paid more and treated fairly. However, if
Hawaii does not get annexed it is possible we would continue to be paid only $10 a
month which is not a living wage. Moreover, my religious beliefs should not be a
problem and I should be ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Moreover, we talked a lot about culture and religion, as well as the costs to make
these motions succeed. Many groups realized that some motions were not possible
due to funding and other motions passed beforehand. For example, the US
government said they would give money to the missionaries to build churches and
help the imported laborers, however, as the US government they do not have the
ability to give out that money. I noticed that a lot of groups, especially the US
government tried to persuade every group to vote for them by making motions that
were directed towards everyone. Furthermore, I learned about how different groups
influence each other and everyone s minds can be persuaded. For instance, the
missionaries changed their mind about freedom of religion which worked in favor of
us. This roleplay was a great learning experience and it was also fun to see how

Bosnian Genocide Causes
The Bosnian Genocide is a genocide that began in April 1992 with the goal to
ethnically cleanse Bosnian territory. Serbians targeted Bosniaks (Muslim Bosnians)
and Croatians civilians and aimed to eliminate them through the use of former
Yugoslavian military equipment. Before the genocide began, many different ethnic
and religious groups lived under Yugoslavia s communist regime. Although there was
tension, President Josip Broz Tito was able to keep the country together through
dictatorship. Tito was considered a benevolent dictator and his regime ensured that
the country stayed unified. However, when Tito died in 1980, the tension between
different ethnic and religious groups increased and eventually led to the Bosnian
genocide. Slobodan Milosevic rose to power seven years leader by using nationalism
to his advantage. Milosevic favored the Serbsand and made changes to the
constitution to show this. Milosevic also formed a military that was 90% Serbian.

The Symbolism Of Scrooge In A Christmas Carol
Christmas Carol, a classic about a man name Scrooge, who was a cold hearted
person that dislike Christmas, gets visited by three spirits that made him change his
mind on Christmas. In the beginning of the story, Scrooge worked as a money
lender. And a friend of his, Marley, died on Christmas Eve, which made Scrooge a
bitter person about Christmas. He dislikes generosity; he s a cold hearted man and an
old miser. He didn t give out money to anyone who was in desperate need for it. For
example one of his workers, Bob Cratchit, his clerk, asks Scrooge if he can buy
heating coals for a fire because it was so cold, and Scrooge refused. Another time
when Scrooge didn t want to give money was when two men passed by and ask
Scrooge if he would like to make a donation to their charity and he refused also. Later

through a series of mysterious scenes related to an unnamed person recent death.
Scrooge saw a businessman talking about the dead man money, some traveler
trading his personal impact for money. Scrooge desperately asks for the dead man
name. After asking the ghost, he finds himself in a churchyard, and the spirit points
at a grave and was shocked when he notices it says his name. He desperately tells the
spirit to change his destiny, promise to glorify Christmas with all his heart. Filled
with happiness with the thought of saving himself and thankful that he has been
returned to Christmas Day, he rushes out to the streets to share his Christmas Spirit.
He buys a giant turkey for the Cratchit house and goes to his nephew party and

Analysis Of Dilworth Park And The Delight
Dilworth Park and the Delight it Brings to the Creative Urban Landscape
City Planning is an enterprise as old and as engrained in a constantly advancing
society as the formation of cities themselves. Planning an urban landscape for a
dynamic and complex population can be tricky, especially considering that societal
norms and goals are always changing. In this light, it becomes most important to plan
for and catalyze as much positive change on a city wide scale as is possible. The
Creative City model was created for this purpose specifically. The Creative City is
a model for city planning which encourages an environment that is comfortable for
and attractive to creatives, and encourages creative activity as well as community
building and the sharing of ideas. Philadelphia can be seen as operating under this
umbrella based on the strong theater and arts culture and the vibrant atmosphere of
the city which is enhanced by its public art and young, creative, educated
population. Communal spaces in a creative city should make those in them feel
welcome to sit down, draw, get inspired, make conversation, and relax. This is why
many cities choose to renovate their public spaces so radically changing the entire
layouts of these areas to give the city as a whole a new flow which encourages
these kinds of activities and discourse. Often, parks and plazas are the most common
examples of these public spaces. Most recently in Philadelphia, Dilworth Park was
created in front of the central
Describe The Four Types Of Weapons In Elizabethan
Elizabethan Era Weapons
,All of mankind s existence has been in thanks for weaponry. From the cavemen to
the Elizabethan Era, weapons have always been by man s side. Nobles, Archers, and
Knights have all used various types of weapons in the Elizabethan Era. From the
billhook to the Poleaxe, Elizabethan Era soldiers have used almost any weapon given
to them, and they will fight for their cause no matter the cost. Foot soldiers were
the main men the Elizabethan used during war. Foot soldiers were the most
versatile out of the main four types of soldiers used by Elizabethan. These soldiers
either rode horseback or were on foot, giving them their name, Foot Soldiers . Foot
soldiers mainly used a mace. Foot soldiers used the mace because of it s mobility
and also by the amount of damage it could deal in a single blow. These soldiers
were also the most plentiful of any type of soldier that Elizabethan had at her
disposal, but foot soldiers weren t the only type of soldier Elizabethan had. Not only
did Elizabethan, she also had knights. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Using weapons on horseback made someone a harder target to hit and more deadly
on the battlefield. The most used weapons on horseback were the mace and the
poleaxe. The mace was a metal ball with spikes attached to a chain and rod. It
could severely injure or kill anyone with one hard blow. While the mace was very
effective, it was also very cheap to manufacture. So if a mace broke in combat, it
wouldn t make a financial hole into the ruler s pocket. Poleaxes were also a very
effective weapon to use from horseback. It was a long sharpened rod with an
axehead on the top. The poleaxe was long so that a soldier could be up close, but
also keep their distance to protect themselves from the enemy. Poleaxes were
primarily used while a knight was mounted on horseback. Just like the mace, it could
do significant damage with just one blow and defend a soldier against

This report investigates the application of conservatism in accounting and its role in
financial reporting. We also examine and compare the advantages and disadvantages
associated with conservatism and provide our opinion about conservatism.

It is easy to recognize that information asymmetry exists in contracting due to the
principal agent nature of the relationship between a lender and a borrower, as well as
between shareholders and managers of the firm. In both cases the agent has more
information about the firm than does the principal.
In accordance with the bonus plan hypothesis of positive accounting theory,
managers will have a tendency to overstate the net value of assets and debt holders
are aware this. Watts also mentions that the agents have limited liability in contracts
because the cost of their actions can be well over their individual wealth; therefore
the principal may never recover the losses incurred (Watts, 2002). Conservatism
allows the principals to use lower bounds measures to monitor the agents by applying
restrictions such as debt covenants and impede behaviour that could lower the value
of net assets or the loan, thus increasing the firm s risk (Watts, 2002). In contracting,
conservatism is used to offset some of the information asymmetry in an attempt to
reduce agency costs and overall risk of debt holders. Contracts also tend to exclude
non verifiable assets such as intangibles, making the net value of assets conservative.
Shareholder s litigation Many academics identify shareholder litigation as another
cause for the continued use of conservatism in accounting. The reason is that
litigation produces asymmetric payoffs because overstating

Mandatory Wolf In France
A man can be a beast. Deceptive eyes, a threatening grin, the capability to commit
monstrous acts; man and beast sound alike. This fine line that exists between fact and
fiction is how legends thrive and conquer the truth.
From 1764 to 1767 a series of vicious attacks plagued the population of
GГ©vaudan, France, instilling fear in many of its inhabitants. Numerous people
were killed or severely injured, some reports stating hundreds of victims, which
sparked myths and stories that spread throughout France. The beast blamed for these
attacks was described as having a blood red coat, large teeth, and was said to be
twice the size of any normal wolf. Hunters at the time used special bullets and guns

book titled La BГЄte du GГ©vaudan, which explores the beast by depicting it as a

information is the fact that the people of GГ©vaudan were so unwilling to see the
story from an analytical standpoint, and admit that the killer might have been a
person. The population of France accepted a large, wolf like creature over the
concept of turning on another human being. Unity was valued by these people,

Stevens Johnson Syndrome Case Study
It is important to differentiate between erythema multiform and Stevens johnson
syndrome: Erythema multiform: target lesion is the classic presentation, and the 3
skin manifestations are dusky center, inner pale ring, and erythematous outer border.
It usually affect age 10 40y/o. Hypersensitivity reaction is most commonly triggered
by infection so treat the underlying cause. HSV is most common cause so treat with
acyclovir. It is a self limiting condition. Stevens Johnson Syndrome (SJS): is a life
threatening reaction. Many manifestations are involved such as detachment of the
epidermis, acute blisters, erosion, severe purulent conjunctivitis, stomatitis and
purpura macules. The main etiology is medications. Usually started as a high fever
and flu like symptoms followed by mucocutaneous symptoms. SJS patients are
managed like a burn patient.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The main feature is honey crusted lesions. Can be bullous (30% of cases), or non
bullous (70% of cases), and Ecthyme is ulcerative form of impetigo, in which lesions

after exposure to the infection. Sores are contagious as long as there is fluid weeping
from them. No longer contagious when they have scabbed over or 24 48 hours after
starting antibiotic treatment. Education is very important e.g. frequent hand washing.
Cellulitis: Diffuse inflammation of the soft or connective tissue due to infection, in
which a thin, watery exudate spreads through the cleavage planes of interstitial and

Summary Of Man Against Foam
Ahmad Masood, the photographer, in the picture titled Man Against Foam , has
captured some men and women worshipping the sun god Surya in the polluted water
of the Yamuna River. This image was published in 2014 A.D on Reuters Article. Men
and women in the photograph are celebrating a Hindu festival called Chhath in New
Delhi. According to Wikipedia, Chhath is an ancient Hindu Vedic festival historically
native to Indians. This festival is dedicated to the Sunand his wife Usha in order to
thank them for bestowing the bounties of life on earth and to request the granting of
certain wishes. The water in the image looks like soap or a pile of snow, but it s all
pollution from sewage waters flowing into the Yamuna river. The photographer shows
the problem of pollution in the developing countries like Indiaand how strong faith of
people can be for festivals despite of pollution. Man Against Foam has an unusual
behavior of color pattern that brings attention to the reader. In this picture women are
wearing colorful sari, a female garment from the Indian subcontinent that is wrapped
around the waist, with one end draped over the shoulder, baring the midriff. Because
of colorful clothes, the image looks vibrant and toned. Also, it helps to create unity
and expresses the joy of celebrating Chhath. However, the contrast between colorful
tone on the left and white foam on the right creates variety because the foam is not
part of the picture. Masood has carefully captured the
The Real Creative Power Of Henry Mancini s Music Choices
A film is an art form. Composer, Henry Mancini, once said, the real creative power
is in the mind and heart of the composer. Henry Mancini was the composer for
Touch of Evil and Breakfast at Tiffany s. While these two films may seem like they
don t connect with each other at any point, they do and it is with Henry Mancini. By
examining Touch of Evil and Breakfast at Tiffany s through the lens of Henry
Mancini s music choices we can see that Mancini s music choices were just as
important as Blake Edwards, director. Many people like to think that the directors of
a film are the authors of a film compared to screenwriters but Mancini challenges that
theory, especially with his work in Touch of Evil and Breakfast at Tiffany s. In these

like it would go with this scene because the speed they are driving is much faster
than the music so you would think Mancini would have had fast bongos like

to not forget where they are and why it is important to remember that this is set in
Mexico. At 54:08 where the Grandi boys are at the motel that same music from the

The Expansion Of The Federal Government
The American government was founded in 1989, and the basic concept behind the
formation is federalism, in which power is shared among state and federal
governments and this concept was introduced by the formation of constitution (a
document) in which the powers of each division had been described. The major
purpose of introducing the constitution was to protect the rights of civilians. The
expansion has been encountered in federal government s powers since the civil war
of United States. The constitution of America is heavily based on federal
government. The federal government has been separated in three branches judicial
branch, legislative, and executive branch. Congress is known as the federal
government s legislative branch and the
Boeing and Supply Chain Structural Improvements Essay

Graded Assignment: Boeing
Read the profile of Boeing and the company s 787 Dreamliner found in your
textbook. This profile serves as an excellent example of how a company used an
infrastructure change to improve its supply chain. In making this improvement,
which of the five ways of implementing an infrastructure change, identified in
section 10.6 of your text, did Boeing employ? Do a little research on your own to
identify a company that has used the second main approach (i.e., a structural
change) commonly employed by organizations to improve their supply chains.

Essentially the change it made was number three in the listing detailed in section 10.6
of our text it changed the configuration of factories, warehouses, or retail locations.
When work usually performed internally, is delegated to another firm, the company is
said to outsource the work. Such is the case in the construction of the Boeing 787.
The companies involved include Messier Bughatti of France, Rolls Royce of the
UK, Alenia Aeronatuica of Italy, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries of Japan and Chjengdu
Aircraft Group of China. This outsourcing decision means that 85% of the
construction of this aircraft is supplied by strategic supply partners of Boeing. Those
parts are eventually shipped to the Boeing plant in Washington by road, rail, sea and
plane for final assembly of the Dreamliner.
There are several other ways to make supply chain improvements. One of those
ways includes the pursuit of major process simplification. This is used to improve
supply chains when the processes have become so complex or so out of date that
they are no longer cost efficient or no longer effective to maintain. It is said that a
clean slate approach is taken when the new processes are designed from scratch
without any consideration of the former process methods. This overhaul includes not
only major changes to the production itself but also includes changes made in the
way the business
Essay On Why I Want To Be A Radiologic Technologist
I currently attend Baton Rouge General School of Radiologic Technology to pursue
an Associates degree through Northwestern State University. I chose this profession
because I always want to help others. I want to play a part in the healing process of
patients. Being able to help people determine things going on inside their body
interest me and that is why I chose Radiology. The true definition of a Radiologic
Technologist is the medical personnel who perform diagnostic imaging examinations
and administer radiation therapy treatments. They are educated in anatomy, patient
positioning, examination techniques, equipment protocols, radiation safety, radiation
protection and basic patient care . This definition makes this job seem easy but it is
not an easy job at all. We do so much pushing, pulling, and lifting of patients it is
physically exhausting. When I first chose this profession I did not think there would

with diagnosing tumors, cancer, diseases, surgery and low infection rates in
surgery as well and much more. Radiologic Technologists are very important no
matter what people may think. Many think it is as simple as pushing a button but
there is way more to this job than that, that nobody knows about or understands. We

the Indian culture she desires to subdue. Moushumi also admits that she had only

Women Of Ancient Greek Mythology Essay
Gender inequality has been a controversial topic for numerous religions and cultures
throughout history. Women were commonly regarded as the subservient gender, an
idea that was no different in Ancient Greece. Throughout Greek mythology, women
were considered inferior and troublesome symbols, while men were known for
courage, leadership, and strength. While there is no argument of the flagrant sexism
that is illustrated in Greek mythology, it can also be claimed that women were given
a situated position of freedom, necessity, and power as well. Many popular Greek
plays and myths contain several complexes and well described female characters.
These goddesses themselves, partook the role of victim, heroine, and villain as it
illustrated the diversity of characters in which women were portrayed and seen in
both Ancient Greek society and mythology, allowing us to question Were the women
of Ancient Greek mythology equally represented as free and superior? The creation
of the Greek mythological universe, the creation of multi gendered goddesses or
deities, and the free and superior personalities accredited to women in Ancient Greek
mythology to answer the question that women were fairly represented as powerful in
Ancient Greek mythology.
Because the Greek culture and places a large emphasis on heritage and history,
including women with essential positions in creation myths, allowed them to prove

Conversion Of A Lawn Mower Essay
Conversion of a lawn mower to generator.
INTRODUCTION:
The lawn mower used had a 3.5 Horse power Briggs and Stratton 4 stroke gas
engine. That particular model motor has a safety shut off lever on the lawn mower
handle which has a cable attached to the motor, and the attached cable must be
activated to disengage the motor shut off break and to allow spark to reach the
spark plug. What was decided was to cut the cable off and deactivate the motor shut
off feature. If the motor has this feature, the cable will have to be observed and also
the levers on the motor to figure out a way to deactivate or preserve the feature. In
both cases the motor will not start unless something is done about the cable and
levers.
A small hole was discovered in one of the lever plates on the side of the engine, the
cable was then pulled, and a small nail was then inserted into the lever to keep the
mechanism from retracting and shutting off the motor. As stated earlier, it will take a
bit of time to figure out how the motor shut off mechanism works (if there is one
installed on the motor).
PROCEDURE:
The first step is to remove the motor from the lawn mower base. Typically, there are
3 or 4 bolts holding the motor to the base, but before they can be removed, the
mower blade and the shaft coupler that holds the blade on the motor shaft will need
to be removed. Getting the blade and the coupling off is slightly difficult, but
removing the blade is not nearly as difficult, however still requires a
Delta Airline s Tense Relationship with Its Employees
Compensations and Benefits The key issue for compensation and benefit for Delta
s airline was labor expense through salary and wages for their employees. These
issues raise for the increase in taxes and security fees, rising prices of fuel, labor
management mistakes, and large executive perks. As a result Delta announced that
they might have to file for bankruptcy protection if they did not cut salaries by
32.5%. As a result of this increase in labor cost, Delta was forced to lay off 11,000
employees, the change of many employees from full time to part time and
outsourcing a great deal of their work. The organization s relationship with
employees has been tense because of substantial layoffs, bankruptcy proof pension
trusts and executive bonuses which were not tied to performance. Delta should
implement a no furlough policy similar to Southwest, which has never
permanently laid off an employee. Also, employees need to become more
educated about the economics of the industry so they can understand why certain
benefits are been taken away. Bonuses should be based solely on performance.
Delta should propose a cut of 20% across the board for all pilots effective
immediately. Though Delta s pilots union may be hesitant to accept these
reductions, Delta should also offer its pilots a 3% increase in profit sharing
packages, an additional signing bonus of 100 shares of company stock and maybe a

A Study On Cell Salvage
Cell Salvage
The process of collecting shed blood, its processing and readministration has been
termed cell salvage, autotransfusion, intraoperative blood recovery, as well as cell
saving. For the purpose of this chapter, the term cell salvage will be used. Cell
salvage can take place either in the intraoperative period or in the postoperative
period. Salvage can also involve washing of the collected blood or it can be simply
readministered with microaggregate filtration.
The concept of cell salvage was first proposed in 1874 by Dr. William Highmore.
In the observation of a maternal hemorrhage, Dr. Highmore proposed that the shed
blood could be defibrinated, warmed and reinjected. By 1928, there were
approximately 200 cases of unwashed cell salvage reported in the literature related
to splenectomies, ectopic pregnancies, amputations, liver lacerations, hemothoraces,
and intracranial operations. , , , The idea of washing salvaged blood and
retransfusing only the red cells came about due to coagulopathy from retransfusion
of whole salvaged blood. The first prototype machine that collected and washed
salvaged blood was developed at the Mayo Clinic by Wilson and Taswell in 1968.
The technology was further developed in the 1970s, with several useful devices
becoming commercially available in the same era.
Controversy exists regarding the safety and efficacy of readministering an unwashed
shed blood product. Postoperative unwashed blood salvage has been utilized in a
The Community Treatment Orders ( Cto )
The introduction of Community Treatment Orders (CTO) has raised much debate
around the issue of whether this is an ethical practice or not. This debate calls for a
number of questions to be answered. For starters, can unethical practice be justified
if it is for the greater good? More specifically, should the elimination of individuals
rights be accepted if success is to be achieved from these programs. In order to gain
insight into answering these questions, Community Treatment Orders need to be
defined first. According to the Mental HealthAct , a Community Treatment Order sets
out terms under which a person must accept psychiatric drugs, therapy, and other
services while living in the community (Mental Health Act 2007). CTO s include...

By doing so, they are given the opportunity for social inclusion and to be part of a
community (Lawson Smith et al, 2008). In addition, the fact that they are still in
operation today supports the idea that change is needed in society. From a political
perspective, they are enforced by governments in order to help those who are most
vulnerable, to remedy discrimination, and protect the general public (Russell, 2011).
As wholehearted as these goals may be in theory, the fact remains that the intended
results are not being achieved and civil liberties are being infringed upon.
Those opposing the use of CTO s are influenced by three reasons to support their
position. The first reason deals with the current evidence base. For starters,
international research literature has found no strong evidence on the positive or
negative effects of CTO s on three key outcomes. These outcomes are hospital
readmissions, length of hospital stay, and patients quality of life (Lawton Smith et al,
2008) Furthermore, a 36 month study of 198 patients concluded that CTO s do not
prevent relapse and readmission of psychiatric inmates with severe and enduring
mental illnesses . The study showed that results were in line with the current national
use (Rugkasa, Yeeles, Koshiaris, Burns, 2016). Analysis of these results shows that
there is no compelling reason for CTO s to continue to exists, given the lack of
improvement that they provide.
The use of CTO s is

The Environment Of The Global Carbon Market
The Global Carbon Market is a vast and ever changing market and an essential part of
it is the Clean Development Mechanism (CDM). In an effort to mitigate climate
change, the carbon market enables the trading of carbon credits to offset greenhouse
gas emissions. One of the instruments implemented under the Kyoto Protocolwas the
CDM enabling the buying and selling of Certified Emission Reductions (CER s)
between developed and developing countries. The encouraging of sustainable
development in developing countries to offset the emissions in developed countries is
the instruments main purpose. This paper aims to focus on the Clean Development
Mechanismwhile attempting to evaluate the instrument as a tool to mitigate climate
change. To understand the CDM, the origins of the policy tool will be presented
along with a discussion about the instruments used along with the CDM and a brief
case study involving Malaysia and Denmark will be presented as to present the real
world application of the mechanism.
Relation of the CDM to the UNFCCC and Kyoto Protocol
The preceding four decades have heralded in the awareness of anthropogenic climate
change and along with it, many solutions and ideas were proposed to mitigate the
known negative effects. Much more recently, a common solution has been the
introduction of a policy instrument that sets to regulate the emissions of the largest,
voluminous, industrial polluters. It has been argued that the more effective policies

Descriptive Essay On Guitar Music
For my favorite instrument, I chose the guitar. Many people across the globe are
familiar with the sounds of the guitar. This chordophone, with such a diverse sound,
has been showcased in our favorite songs and bands for decades. As familiar as we
are with the sound, how familiar are we the history, manufacturers, artists, composers,
and its popularity in a traditional orchestra? First, I will discuss the history of the
guitar; when it started, the miraculous evolution, and the manufacturers that took the
industry by storm. Although there are many theories, the history is hazy as to
exactly where the first known guitar came from prior to the 16th century.
According to the book A Concise History of the Classic Guitar by Wade Graham,
Hittite stone carvings in Turkey; dated 1300 BC, eludes to the possibility of a
similar instrument, as well as mentions in the old testament of long necked lutes in
Mesopotamia. In Greek mythology; Fourth Homeric Hymn, mentions the use of a
stringed instrument made of cow gut and turtle carcass. History becomes a lot
clearer around the 16th century, when printed literature became available.
According to acousticmusic the Baroque period is when the guitar really began to
gain popularity, and was commonly used to accompany vocalists. Guitar music
began to grow and evolve; the Classical period lasting from 1730 1820, and the
Romantic period of 1815 1910 gained more popularity and diversity and was soon
known worldwide. Other
The Controversy of Marcel Duchamp Essay
One of the most unique figures in the continuum of the art world, Marcel Duchamp
changed the way we look at and produce art today. Marcel Duchamp was by far, one
of the most controversial figures in art. Two of the most well known and talked about
pieces by him are The Fountain and The Bride Stripped Bare by her Bachelors, Even .
Duchamp created many other pieces that caught the attention of critics, other artists,
and the population in a negative way; however, these two pieces alone, brought about
the greatest amount of controversy. In 1917, Marcel Duchampsubmitted his urinal,
the Fountain, to the American Society of Independent Artists . The urinal was taken

Whether Mr. Mutt with his own hands made the fountain or not has no importance.
He CHOSE it. He took an ordinary article of life, placed it so that its useful
significance disappeared under the new title and point of view created a new thought
for that object.
As for plumbing, that is absurd. The only works of art America has given are her
plumbing and her bridges. Marcel Duchamp was showing off one of his readymade
sculptures at its finest. He was making a statement that an everyday object is also
art. The fact that Duchamp chose the object and called it art was just another cause
for rebuttal in the art world. Now, approximately one hundred years later, everyday
objects are commonly accepted as art.
Shortly after Duchamp released the Fountain, another controversial piece of art
debuted The Bride Stripped Bare by Her Bachelors, Even . This piece was not a
readymade, but a more accepted form of art. The Bride Stripped Bare by Her
Bachelors, Even went through many years of Duchamp researching, working on
and repairing the piece. Marcel Duchamp started working on the piece in 1915 and
worked on it consecutively for the following eight years. After that time frame,
Duchamp took a break from it other scholars may argue that the piece was
abandoned and not merely on hiatus. Regardless of whether the piece was
abandoned or on hiatus, The Bride Stripped Bare by Her Bachelors, Even was still

the Campaign for Tobacco Free Kids Action Fund and Common Cause, since
1997, the tobacco industry has contributed more than $27.7 million to various
political action committees. And since 1999, tobacco companies have also spent
more than $101 million on lobbying the U.S. Congress. Indeed, the tobacco
industry spent more than $21.2 million to lobby Congress in 2003. That amounts
to approximately $127,000 spent on lobbying for every day that Congress was in

The Concept Of Courtly Love In Don Quixote And Don
Cervantes
Love. What is it? What is its purpose? The J. Geils Band says love stinks. Pat
Benatar says love is a battlefield. The idea of love proliferates every aspect of our
human culture. Love influences our literature, music, religion, and social lives. Love
makes us do funny things, makes us feel warm and fuzzy, hurts us, brings people
together, and transforms lives. Lovetransforms us. Sometimes for the better,
sometimes for the worse. There are multiple types of love such as brotherly love
and courtly love. Courtly love is an example of how love transforms a person. In the
traditional definition of courtly love, the love struck hero is on a constant struggle to
reach the object of his affection. While Cervantes provides an accurate portrayal of
courtly love in Don Quixote, Dante s version in Inferno and Purgatory is a more
convincing use of courtly love because his character, Dante, emerges as a
transformed character through the process of trying to get to his beloved Beatrice.
The principles of courtly love: often adulterous, the lady is inaccessible, a lot of
emotion, usually ends in death/separation rather than marriage, the lady is
idealized, and the hero would go through anything for his lady ( Medieval View of
Love ). There are three main principles that can be compared and contrasted
between Dante s work and Cervantes work: the idealization of the lady,
inaccessibility of the lady, and the journey of the hero trying to reach his lady. The
object of Dante s courtly love
Differences Between Antigone Movie And Play
Our class watched and read the play Antigone. The play was written by Sophocles in
441 b.c. The movie, produced by the British Broadcasting Company, had many
differences when compared to the play. Two of the most striking differences between
the two productions were the characters and the time place.
The characters in the movie Antigone are very different than that of its corresponding
play. Characters such as Haemon and Creon in the movie, seemed to have contrasting
traits compared to the written play. As the movie began, you could tell that the
setting and the time frame of the movie seemed to be different than it was portrayed
in the written work. Large portraits of Creon were being hung from the ceiling. This
action seemed to symbolize
Fish Retailing Research Paper
Most people think that fishtailing is one of the hardest ways to do hair. If you
have a basic idea of how to fishtail, it actually isn t that hard to do. You don t need
that many materials for this task. There s actually not very many steps for this
process either. Your main adjective is to keep the fishtail tight as you keep going.
To fishtail your hair or someone else s hair, you don t need that many things. The
only things you will need is a hairbrush, a hair tie, and time. Use the hairbrush to
brush out all the rats or knots in your hair. You need to have a hair tie nearby or on
your wrist for when you finish. You need time for when you mess up and want to
start over or to try and make it look as good as you can. When you start you ll
Analysis of Mendelssohn’s Italian Symphony
Introduction Felix Mendelssohn was one of the most famous composers during the
19th century. Although in his music he did show some features of romanticism, he
was strongly influenced by traditional genres such as counterpoint etc. In this essay,
the biography of the composer, background of the genre and analysis of the piece
will be investigated
Biographical Sketch of Mendelssohn
Mendelssohn was born in Hamburg in 1809. His father Abraham Mendelssohn was a
banker, while his mum Lea Mendelssohn was a highly educated artist and musician.
Mendelssohn first had his piano lesson from his mum, but soon he was sent to study
with the best teachers at that time such as Marie Bigot and Ludwig Burger. He also
took composition lessons with Karl ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This simply corresponds to Robert Schumann s saying: Mendelssohn is the one who
most clearly sees through the contradictions (between the classical and romantic
style) of the age and for the first time reconciles them.
Musical Form of the Work The symphonyconsists of four movements. The first
movement, Allegro vivace, is in sonata form. In the first theme (Ex.1), many
sequences were used to construct the melody. And being inspired by Italian opera,
Mendelssohn here tired to delay the closure of the theme as much as possible. While
the second theme, it shares the similar materials as the first theme. In the
development section, although a new theme appears, it consists of some materials of
the first theme. Then, all these three themes appear again in the recapitulation,
creating a sense of unity.
Ex. 1 Opening theme of the first movement The second movement, Andante con
moto, however has two main different interpretations that it could be analyzed as
song form or sonata form. The third movement, Con moto moderato, was composed
in form of minuet and trio. Finally, for the finale, which consists of the Roman
saltarello and the Neapolitan tarantella dance rhythm, contains characteristics of both
sonata and rondo form.
How does the piece fit into the orchestral literature of the 19th century? First and
foremost, the piece reflects the development of the clarinet that its role in the orchestra
became more and
Catching Fire Themes
In the book Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins there were many significant themes. I
choose Courage because nearly all the tributes/characters in the book were all
courageous in parts of the book. All the characters are ready to die for one another,
to protect or help the others in the Quarter Quell. I found another example of my
theme in the recent book before Catching Fire called the Hunger Games. There were
many comparisons between the two books because they both revealed the theme of
Courage. In The Hunger Games the tributes had to be really courageous going into
the games, because they knew that there was a good percentage that they would not
make it out healthy and alive. In Catching Fire, you had to be brave enough to give
up your life... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Also in the hunger games the tributes that are chosen from each district could be
really young, as in Katness s friend named Rue who was really young that didn t
make it in the hunger games. Some of the tributes were really young, had to be
really brave and courageous to leave there family and go to the capitol and fight
others for saving there life. As in Catching fire, Katness and secretly the love of
her life Gale, have to sneak around to see each other. President Snow whom is the
President of the Capitol does not like the idea of Katness and Gale, and wants the
relationship of Katness and Peeta. President Snow threatens Katness that he will
take care of Gale, if she doesn t. Katness and Gale have to be really brave to see
one another after what President Snow had said. The last example of the theme
Courage is when in the Hunger Games Katness s little sister was chosen as the
tribute originally, but Katness volunteered as Tribute because she didn t want her
little sister to go through that. She had to be so courageous in the moment to
volunteer, because she knew it was not going to be fun, and there was a chance that
she couldn t come back alive. As in
Public Art in the United Arab Emirates
Public art is the art that has been planned to of being staged in public and its
usually outdoor, it can be carved sculpture, cast or built or painted. What s special
about public art is the way how it is made, the place where it is and what meaning it
has behind it. Public art can express community value or describe a cultural related
point, and its placed in public for everyone to see. Public artis a reflection of how the
artistsees the world and response to his time and space. In this essay, I want to review
about how the public art reflects the traditional culture.
As an example of public art in the UAE, is the camel caravan. It is a sculpture of a
camel that is painted with colorful different shapes. There is several camels
caravan located around the place, and each of them has a different unique style. I
believe that public art should be reflective of traditional culture. The camel caravan
also has a reflection on the cultural side that camels are very common and a known
animal in the UAE. Public art strategies help to uncover and enhance the implied
identity, the value, the unique meaning and the character of the social and physical
form of a community or a society, the community s character and sense of space
reflects this identity. The person s sense of space always develops over time while
reflecting the shade of his social values around and within the community. The
character of a community will be reflected by its cultural narrative space of a place.

The Impact Of Neglecting The Regulatory Drivers For
Staff...
In order to report on the impact of neglecting the regulatory drivers for both staff
development and WAT Insurance Brokers own risk management, it will be necessary
to discuss the following:
Regulatory non compliance;
Increased errors;
Heightened business exposures;
Potential termination of trading relationships with insurers.
In order to discuss compliance, it is important to remind ourselves that the Systems of
Senior Management Arrangements, Systems and Controls (SYSC) section 6.1.1
states that a firm must establish, implement and maintain adequate policies and
procedures sufficient to ensure compliance of the firm including its managers,
employees and appointed representatives (or which applicable tied agents) with its ...

The Financial Conduct Authority would expect the larger broking firms to operate a
fully resourced, independent compliance function in house and there is nothing to
say that future rules regarding compliance might change to prevent outsourcing of
this function.
The next function is the implementation and maintenance of adequate policies and
procedures designed to detect any risk of failure. Similar to the first function, these
should also reflect the scale and complexity of the firm and should be designed to
ensure that the firm is complying with its obligations such as fair market analysis,
treating the customer fairly and disclosure. If WAT does maintain a permanent
compliance function, it must operate independently and have responsibility for
monitoring and regularly assessing both the adequacy and effectiveness of the
measures and procedures put in place and the actions taken to address any
deficiencies in the firms compliance with its obligations. WAT would also have
responsibility for advising and assisting the relevant persons responsible for carrying
out regulated activities to comply with the firms obligations under the regulatory
system.
The compliance function should have the necessary authority, resources, expertise
and access to all relevant information. It is also important that the individuals
involved in the compliance function are not involved in the performance of the
services or activities they monitor. The methods of working out how to

Prince George s Community College has many resources on campus for students.
Many of these resources provides benefits for students not only academically, but

Sarah Winchester Research Paper
Sarah Winchester was born on September 1839 in New Haven, Connecticut. She
was an American heiress who inherited a gun company called the Winchester
Repeating Arms Company in which she became one of the wealthiest women in the
world during that time. Sarah inherited 20 million dollars and about 50% of the
company after her husband, William Wirt Winchester, died of pulmonary
tuberculosis. Long before her husband s death, she gave birth to her only daughter,
Annie Pardee Winchester, but died of marasmus which is a disease in which the
body wastes away. The deaths of her husband and daughter left her to grieve and at
some point, in a state of madness. Sarah Winchester is known as the person behind
the construction of the Haunted Winchester Mystery House. Sarah s husband took

She started the construction of her house and hired the carpenters that would work
for the next 36 years on the house. For 24 hours each day, the workers never
stopped building the house and noises of the hammers and saws could be heard
day and night. The house kept expanding since every morning Sarah shared her
plans of the construction with the workers. If the plan did not succeed, they would
have a solution like for example they would build another room around the existing
room. The house is known for its unique and weird ways the rooms were built. For
example, there are many staircases that lead to the ceiling, closets that open to

The reason that the house is built different is to confuse the vengeful spirits. In
1906, the San Francisco earthquake struck and almost trapped Sarah inside a room
that she slept in. This event gave her the idea that the earthquake was a sign from

Machiavelli The Prince Textual Analysis
The novel The prince written by Niccolo Machiavelli, points out the key elements of
a running successful government ruled by a admired prince, a leader that is not only
loved, but also feared by the people that follow him. One of the main aspects the
author points out to the reader is the concept of virtГ№. Referring to the range of
personal qualities that the princeneed to do, the two main power marks for any
prince is to maintain his state, and to achieve great things. Although that the actual
definition of the word virtue is: behavior showing high moral standards;
Machiavelli almost never talks about moral virtue. The author addresses a different
type of government governing in the discourses, however he still points out the
same fact that he mentions in the prince, and that is his vision of the requirements
of power politics is virtu. In the prince, the author explains that the concept of
being a prince isn t just getting the gold and waving at people as days turn into
nights and as her or his majesty turns pure oxygen into carbon dioxide, in fact it s
the exact opposite of it. Machiavelli expects a prince with high virtГ№ to be able to

To Machiavelli the word Virtu does not mean to have high moral standard.
Although he mentions that not only a good prince or a good ruler should have
good morals, think everything threw and sees the future; he uses the word virtГ№
as a meaning of: being manly, and being desperate to acquire power and do all
things necessary to maintain that power no matter what. In both cases, the prince,
and the discourses, Machiavelli makes a consistent point of view towards the word
virtГ№. In the prince he mentions that almost all prince s get their power either
with fortune or prowess and to maintain those powers you must not only be a leader
that is feared, loved and respected, but above all else a good prince must acquire

Sophocles Use Of Dramatic Irony In Oedipus The King

mother and even conceived children with her and murdering his own father. Oedipus

Thus, in my workplace our shifts tend to focus more on intangible factors, such as
employee productivity, customer satisfaction and repeat business. In the business
of telephone customer service, we view our supply and demand in terms of how
well we are meeting the demand of calls coming in and how well we supply the
desire of our customers to have their issues resolved in a timely manner. During
periods of high demand, such as the holiday season, we staff more employees to
work the phones. Similar to the situation in scenario 2, we have to be certain that
the number of representatives on the phone is still profitable by the business, so
while there may be a small wait time for a customer to speak with an agent, it is
more profitable for the customer to have a five minute wait than to put twenty more
people on the phone to meet that increased business need. Macroeconomic
principles come into play when the whole market or more outside factors are
involved. Examples of this in the video game industry, which I work in, would be
when the rating system for games are under scrutiny, or when a new console is put
on the market as competition. These outside factors affect not only the company I
work for, but every other company in the industry, from the hardware manufacturers
such as Microsoft and Sony, but also the game studios such as Activision, EA and
Rockstar Games. Microeconomic principles are caused by and effect only my
company in particular, such

Essay About Ethics. Ethics Essay - Grade: A - Ethics Essay The Code of Ethics for Nurses ...

  • 1. Essay About Ethics Crafting an essay on the subject of ethics is a challenging endeavor that demands a deep understanding of moral principles, values, and the complex interplay between individual beliefs and societal norms. This topic requires the writer to navigate through a myriad of ethical theories, such as consequentialism, deontology, and virtue ethics, and to critically analyze their applications in real-life scenarios. One of the difficulties in writing such an essay lies in the subjective nature of ethics. The definition of what is considered morally right or wrong can vary widely among individuals and cultures. This inherent subjectivity adds a layer of complexity to the task, as the writer must grapple with the nuances of different perspectives while maintaining a coherent and convincing argument. Furthermore, delving into the historical evolution of ethical thought and exploring contemporary ethical dilemmas requires thorough research and a nuanced understanding of the ever-changing landscape of moral philosophy. The writer must be adept at synthesizing information from various sources, critically evaluating different viewpoints, and presenting a well-informed and balanced analysis. Addressing ethical issues also necessitates a high level of sensitivity and empathy. The writer must carefully navigate potentially controversial topics, respecting diverse viewpoints while also advocating for a thoughtful and principled stance. Striking the right balance between objectivity and personal conviction is a delicate task that requires finesse and careful consideration. In addition, maintaining clarity and coherence in the essay is crucial. Given the abstract and philosophical nature of the topic, it is easy for the discussion to become convoluted or esoteric. Effective communication of complex ideas is essential to ensure that the reader can follow the argument and grasp the significance of the ethical considerations being explored. In conclusion, composing an essay on ethics is a formidable challenge that demands intellectual rigor, research acumen, and a profound understanding of the complexities inherent in moral reasoning. Navigating the intricate landscape of ethical philosophy while maintaining clarity and sensitivity requires a skilled and thoughtful approach. For those seeking assistance with similar essays or any academic writing challenges, a reliable option is HelpWriting.net, where professional writers can provide expert guidance and support in navigating the intricacies of ethical discourse and other academic subjects. • 3. Gestalt And Humanistic Modes Of Thought Gestalt and humanistic modes of thought share the idea that people have free will and are able to make their own choices in life; also, a high importance is placed on a person s experiences and personal viewpoint (Hergenhahn Henley, 2014). Phenomenology, or the introspective analysis of whole conceptual experiences, features prominently in both ideologies (Hergenhahn Henley, 2014). Another shared viewpoint is that humanbeings are unique, and as such there is a limit to what can be learned from other humans, or from the study of animals (Hergenhahn Henley, 2014). The thoughtthat people are too complex to be studied with normal scientific methodology is another shared tenet. The main difference between these two ideologies is the basic premise of human nature. Humanistic psychology s primary belief is that human nature is intrinsically good and that their default would be to naturally get along with other people (Hergenhahn Henley, 2014). For Gestalt type psychology, the basis of human nature is mainly neutral, and people then have to exercise choice in order to become something else. Coming to understand one s own mortality as a way to live life is part of Gestalt psychology, whereas for humanistic psychology it is not considered as important to human actuality (Hergenhahn Henley, 2014). The application and connection of a humanistic understanding of learning and how it applies to leadership roles also shares some similarities with Gestalt psychology. Developing
  • 4. Infiniti s Athletic Midsize Sedan Infiniti s athletic midsize sedan can now be had in an extended wheelbase version. The elongated model delivers best in class rear seat legroom. The luxury market is an intensely competitive one with BMW, Mercedes Benz, and Lexus seated amongst the top sellers. The first two marques rely on diesels to supplement their gasoline offerings; Lexus augments its standard models with hybrids. Further down the luxury sales line Audi, Acura and Cadillac do battle, followed by Infiniti sitting in a distant seventh place. Infiniti may trail the leaders, but it has come on strong of late. For the second consecutive year Infiniti has achieved record sales, rising by 13.8 percent in 2015. Most of those sales were in the US where Infiniti is outpacing ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The extra inches benefit rear legroom, providing 41.8 inches of space for the three rear seating passengers. Not quite matching limousine proportions, but very close indeed and you can cross your legs. So, despite not having a flagship sedan to compete with the BMW 7 Series, Lexus LS, or the Mercedes Benz S Class, the Q70L offers a reasonable alternative. That alternative is marked by a handsome visage with a bold grille, a muscular hood, and strong shoulders. From its sides, the Q70L offers a stately appearance with its long flowing lines, rising belt line, and rocker panel ornamentation. Handsome dual quad aluminum alloy wheels and chrome accents provide this model with added expressiveness. The roofline flows into the raised rear deck that deck is accented by chrome embellishments, wraparound combination lamps, and dual exhaust tips. Distinctive embrasures front and rear as well as stylish LED light treatments add visual appeal to this already striking model. Luxuriant and Sensibly Appointed Cabin Inside, the cabin is bright, orderly and uncomplicated. And that s a good thing: some luxury manufacturers have gone tech happy (or mad), making such vehicles less than user friendly. The Infiniti Q70L is marked by flowing interior lines across the dashboard, on the instrument panel hood, along the doors, and upon the seats. That look imparts a feeling of

The Sql Server Integration Services ( Ssis ) Integration While administrators could populate the initial database information manually or user s key in the data as it is used, it is far more efficient to prepopulate the database from other sources of information. One common way of doing this is through the SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) which offers a set of tools to load externally sourced information into a database. SSIS may be used to integrate many different type of external data sources, while applying complex business rules and workflow logic (Akkawi, 2014, p. 320) and has two major components. First the Import and Export wizard is a tool that walks the user through a step by step process to aid in database integration. The wizard defines a source and destination for the data and maps between them with limited manipulation. While it is a relatively quick and easy tool its functionality is limited to the options available within the wizards. More extensive functionality is offered by the second component, the SQL Server Data Tools (SSDT) which is a, comprehensive development environment that caters to more complex data integration situations (Akkawi, 2014, p. 320). This environment allows the user to add tools catering to various data sources and different ways of manipulating the dataflow. Within a graphical environment the user can create a complex interaction flow representing how data is obtained, manipulated or processed, and then stored. Any user comfortable with MicrosoftVisual

Takur Ghar translates from Pashto as Tall Mountain . The battle became the most memorable part of a much larger operation called Anaconda. The focal point of the operation was the Lower Shahikot Valley, which housed and protected a large number of foreign fighters Afghan Arabs from al Qaeda, Uzbeks, Tajiks, and Chechens from the Islamic Movements of Uzbekistan (IMU) 5. Takur Ghar was the highest point overlooking the Shahikot Valley and was a key terrain to capture for the mission. A noted Afghanistan specialist, Lester Grau, believes there were initially 600 estimated enemy fighters in the valley, which tallied with other credible sources6. The valley was protected by multilayered defenses. At the entrances to the valley, the insurgents maintained checkpoints, which allowed an early warning system of attempted ground attack7. The valley was classic guerilla terrain easily defendable, controlled access, numerous routes of escape, and near a sympathetic border 8. The findings of this article increase our understanding of corporate social responsibility from the consumers perspective in a Chinese setting. Analysis Of Dilworth Park And The Delight Dilworth Park and the Delight it Brings to the Creative Urban Landscape City Planning is an enterprise as old and as engrained in a constantly advancing society as the formation of cities themselves. Planning an urban landscape for a dynamic and complex population can be tricky, especially considering that societal norms and goals are always changing. In this light, it becomes most important to plan for and catalyze as much positive change on a city wide scale as is possible. The Creative City model was created for this purpose specifically. The Creative City is a model for city planning which encourages an environment that is comfortable for and attractive to creatives, and encourages creative activity as well as community building and the sharing of ideas. Philadelphia can be seen as operating under this umbrella based on the strong theater and arts culture and the vibrant atmosphere of the city which is enhanced by its public art and young, creative, educated population. Communal spaces in a creative city should make those in them feel welcome to sit down, draw, get inspired, make conversation, and relax. This is why many cities choose to renovate their public spaces so radically changing the entire layouts of these areas to give the city as a whole a new flow which encourages these kinds of activities and discourse. Often, parks and plazas are the most common examples of these public spaces. Most recently in Philadelphia, Dilworth Park was created in front of the central

It is easy to recognize that information asymmetry exists in contracting due to the principal agent nature of the relationship between a lender and a borrower, as well as between shareholders and managers of the firm. In both cases the agent has more information about the firm than does the principal. In accordance with the bonus plan hypothesis of positive accounting theory, managers will have a tendency to overstate the net value of assets and debt holders are aware this. Watts also mentions that the agents have limited liability in contracts because the cost of their actions can be well over their individual wealth; therefore the principal may never recover the losses incurred (Watts, 2002). Conservatism allows the principals to use lower bounds measures to monitor the agents by applying restrictions such as debt covenants and impede behaviour that could lower the value of net assets or the loan, thus increasing the firm s risk (Watts, 2002). In contracting, conservatism is used to offset some of the information asymmetry in an attempt to reduce agency costs and overall risk of debt holders. Contracts also tend to exclude non verifiable assets such as intangibles, making the net value of assets conservative. Shareholder s litigation Many academics identify shareholder litigation as another cause for the continued use of conservatism in accounting. The reason is that litigation produces asymmetric payoffs because overstating

Throughout Greek mythology, women were considered inferior and troublesome symbols, while men were known for courage, leadership, and strength. While there is no argument of the flagrant sexism that is illustrated in Greek mythology, it can also be claimed that women were given a situated position of freedom, necessity, and power as well. Many popular Greek plays and myths contain several complexes and well described female characters. These goddesses themselves, partook the role of victim, heroine, and villain as it illustrated the diversity of characters in which women were portrayed and seen in both Ancient Greek society and mythology, allowing us to question Were the women of Ancient Greek mythology equally represented as free and superior? That particular model motor has a safety shut off lever on the lawn mower handle which has a cable attached to the motor, and the attached cable must be activated to disengage the motor shut off break and to allow spark to reach the spark plug. What was decided was to cut the cable off and deactivate the motor shut off feature. If the motor has this feature, the cable will have to be observed and also the levers on the motor to figure out a way to deactivate or preserve the feature. In both cases the motor will not start unless something is done about the cable and levers. A small hole was discovered in one of the lever plates on the side of the engine, the cable was then pulled, and a small nail was then inserted into the lever to keep the mechanism from retracting and shutting off the motor. As stated earlier, it will take a bit of time to figure out how the motor shut off mechanism works (if there is one installed on the motor). PROCEDURE: The first step is to remove the motor from the lawn mower base. Typically, there are 3 or 4 bolts holding the motor to the base, but before they can be removed, the mower blade and the shaft coupler that holds the blade on the motor shaft will need to be removed. Getting the blade and the coupling off is slightly difficult, but removing the blade is not nearly as difficult, however still requires a

These issues raise for the increase in taxes and security fees, rising prices of fuel, labor management mistakes, and large executive perks. As a result Delta announced that they might have to file for bankruptcy protection if they did not cut salaries by 32.5%. As a result of this increase in labor cost, Delta was forced to lay off 11,000 employees, the change of many employees from full time to part time and outsourcing a great deal of their work. The organization s relationship with employees has been tense because of substantial layoffs, bankruptcy proof pension trusts and executive bonuses which were not tied to performance. Delta should implement a no furlough policy similar to Southwest, which has never permanently laid off an employee. Also, employees need to become more educated about the economics of the industry so they can understand why certain benefits are been taken away. Bonuses should be based solely on performance. Though Delta s pilots union may be hesitant to accept these reductions, Delta should also offer its pilots a 3% increase in profit sharing packages, an additional signing bonus of 100 shares of company stock and maybe a seat on the board of directors for their top performing pilots who stays with the

A Study On Cell Salvage Cell Salvage The process of collecting shed blood, its processing and readministration has been termed cell salvage, autotransfusion, intraoperative blood recovery, as well as cell saving. For the purpose of this chapter, the term cell salvage will be used. Cell salvage can take place either in the intraoperative period or in the postoperative period. Salvage can also involve washing of the collected blood or it can be simply readministered with microaggregate filtration. The concept of cell salvage was first proposed in 1874 by Dr. William Highmore. In the observation of a maternal hemorrhage, Dr. Highmore proposed that the shed blood could be defibrinated, warmed and reinjected. By 1928, there were approximately 200 cases of unwashed cell salvage reported in the literature related to splenectomies, ectopic pregnancies, amputations, liver lacerations, hemothoraces, and intracranial operations. , , , The idea of washing salvaged blood and retransfusing only the red cells came about due to coagulopathy from retransfusion of whole salvaged blood. The first prototype machine that collected and washed salvaged blood was developed at the Mayo Clinic by Wilson and Taswell in 1968. The technology was further developed in the 1970s, with several useful devices becoming commercially available in the same era. Controversy exists regarding the safety and efficacy of readministering an unwashed shed blood product. Postoperative unwashed blood salvage has been utilized in a

More specifically, should the elimination of individuals rights be accepted if success is to be achieved from these programs. In order to gain insight into answering these questions, Community Treatment Orders need to be defined first. In addition, the fact that they are still in operation today supports the idea that change is needed in society. From a political perspective, they are enforced by governments in order to help those who are most vulnerable, to remedy discrimination, and protect the general public (Russell, 2011). As wholehearted as these goals may be in theory, the fact remains that the intended results are not being achieved and civil liberties are being infringed upon. Those opposing the use of CTO s are influenced by three reasons to support their position. The first reason deals with the current evidence base. For starters, international research literature has found no strong evidence on the positive or negative effects of CTO s on three key outcomes. These outcomes are hospital readmissions, length of hospital stay, and patients quality of life (Lawton Smith et al, 2008) Furthermore, a 36 month study of 198 patients concluded that CTO s do not prevent relapse and readmission of psychiatric inmates with severe and enduring mental illnesses . The idea of love proliferates every aspect of our human culture. Love influences our literature, music, religion, and social lives. Love makes us do funny things, makes us feel warm and fuzzy, hurts us, brings people together, and transforms lives. Lovetransforms us. Sometimes for the better, sometimes for the worse. There are multiple types of love such as brotherly love and courtly love. Courtly love is an example of how love transforms a person. In the traditional definition of courtly love, the love struck hero is on a constant struggle to reach the object of his affection. While Cervantes provides an accurate portrayal of courtly love in Don Quixote, Dante s version in Inferno and Purgatory is a more convincing use of courtly love because his character, Dante, emerges as a transformed character through the process of trying to get to his beloved Beatrice.
