Literature Review Essay
Writing a literature review essay can be a challenging task that requires a combination of critical
thinking, research skills, and effective communication. The difficulty lies in the intricate process
of synthesizing existing literature, analyzing various perspectives, and presenting a coherent
narrative that contributes to the academic discourse.
Firstly, the task demands a thorough understanding of the chosen topic and a comprehensive
review of relevant literature. This involves delving into numerous academic journals, books, and
articles to gather a diverse range of perspectives and insights. The extensive research required
can be time-consuming and mentally taxing, as it involves sifting through a vast amount of
information to identify key themes, theories, and findings.
Once the research is completed, organizing the information in a logical and coherent manner
poses another challenge. Crafting a literature review essay involves synthesizing diverse ideas
and presenting them in a structured format that reflects a clear progression of thought. It requires
the ability to draw connections between different studies, highlight commonalities, and identify
gaps in the existing literature.
Moreover, maintaining a critical and analytical stance throughout the essay is crucial. Evaluating
the strengths and limitations of each source, identifying biases, and assessing the overall quality
of the literature adds an additional layer of complexity. Balancing objectivity while expressing a
unique perspective is a delicate task that demands a keen eye for detail and a nuanced
understanding of the subject matter.
Furthermore, the language and style of the essay must be academically sound. Crafting a piece
that is not only grammatically correct but also conveys complex ideas with clarity and precision
is essential. The challenge lies in finding the right balance between formality and readability,
ensuring that the essay is accessible to a diverse audience while maintaining academic rigor.
In conclusion, writing a literature review essay requires a multifaceted skill set encompassing
research proficiency, critical analysis, organizational skills, and effective communication. It is a
demanding process that necessitates dedication and a thorough understanding of the subject
matter. However, despite its challenges, successfully navigating through the complexities of a
literature review essay can be a rewarding intellectual exercise.

Lisa Zunshine s Theory Of Mind
Lisa Zunshine establishes through her theory Theory of Mind and Experimental
Representations of Fictional Consciousness the readiness of human cognitive abilities
to read physical behaviour as indicative of mental states. Although seemingly
automatic, mind reading abilities are not always correct. Readers interpretation of
physical cues stem from personal thoughts and beliefs and dominate narratorial
voices that skew intended meaning. Zunshine s Theory of Mindexplores behavioural
interpretation in Virginia Woolf s Mrs. Dalloway character Septimus Warren Smith.
The novel challenges readers mind reading abilities in deciphering Septimus s mental
illness through dominant narratorial voices and levels of intentionality and their own
interpretations. However, misinterpretations are not wrong because readers use
Theory of Mind to interpret it, rather novels stimulate intended readers to exercise
their abilities.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Scientists coined this evolved mental adaptation for understanding behaviour as
indicative of mental states mind reading or Theory of Mind (ToM) (Zunshine 847).
Although it is used towards social interactions, the human mind cannot distinguish
between real or fictional minds. Zunshine deems that default interpretation of
behaviour reflects a character s state of mind and that every fictional story that we
read reinforces our tendency to make that kind of interpretation first (Zunshine 850).
As readers practice their mind reading through fictional characters, the observable
behaviour is often connected with readers assumptions, beliefs, and ideas. Stories are
incomplete and ask readers to create their own meaning. However, they are
challenged to practice their meaning making with dominant narratorial voices and

A Scientist s Quest For His Discoveries Of Autophagy...
From Baker s Yeast to the Nobel Prize: A Biologist s Quest to Elucidate Autophagy
Molecular cell biologist, Yoshinori Ohsumi, won the 2016 Nobel Prize for his
discoveries of autophagy mechanisms. His life s work changed the world s
perspective on a fundamental process, and now, thousands of scientists use his
research to develop potential treatment solutions for chronic diseases. Learn more...
I want everyone to understand the nature of fundamental research is such that it
develops in ways sometimes not initially anticipated but has an immense and
beneficial impact on society, said Yoshinori Ohsumi.
On Oct. 3, the 71 year old molecular cell biologist stood amongst a sea of reporters
and colleagues at the Tokyo Institute of Technology (TITECH) and echoed these
words that he often shares with his students. Ohsumi won this year s Nobel Prize in
Physiology or Medicine for nearly three decades of fundamental research in
autophagy the process by which cells recycle their own contents. On Dec. 10,
Ohsumi will stand on stage in Stockholm, this time in front of the global scientific
community, to accept his award and join the ranks of other Nobel laureates.
I remember fancifully dreaming of receiving the Nobel Prize as a child, but once I
became a researcher, any thought of receiving the award completely left my
consciousness as I focused on science, said Ohsumi at the TITECH press conference.

A Brief Story Of Walt Disney And Roy O. Disney
Walt Disney and Roy O. Disney began their greatest endeavor in 1923 when they
officially founded the Disney Brothers Cartoon Studio. With their headquarters
officially established in Burbank, California they established themselves as the leader
in the American animation industry. The most memorable character of the Disney
franchise would have to be attributed to their first sound film Steamboat Willie, with
its leading character Mickey Mouse(nearly named Mortimer Mouse). With much
success and critical acclaim, Disney released its first full length animated film in
1937: Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. July 18, 1955 marks the official first day
that Disneyland is open to the general public. A year after making a crucial move in

12 Eye-Opening Facts About Mascara
A Process for Perfection: Mascara Using kohl to darken the eyelashes was an old
Egyptian habit that required mixing honey and crocodile stool ( 12 Eye Opening
Facts About Mascara , 2014). The powers and secrets of mascara have changed over
time to fulfil the desires and requests of the users. As such, the girls that dearly praise
mascara are ignorant of the ingredients that make mascara the magical wand it is.
Thus, mascara is made through three precise steps, which include the formation of oil
soluble phase, water soluble phase and the blending process.
The first step taken in the mascara making process is the oil soluble phase
formation. This phase consists of mixing four types of wax that produce a semi
liquid gel coat that shines the lashes. Chemists begin with a Carnauba wax from a
Brazilian palm tree that emollients the lashes, then move to adding the Candelilla
wax that is known as the Queen of Waxes . This wax is taken from the leaves of
plants that grow in Mexico and Texas. After that, they add Beeswax brought from
honeycombs that have a yellowish color with Glycerol Stearate. Next, an emulsifier,
Lipo GMS , is admixed to keep the waxes stable. At last, Vitamin E is added to the
mixture to condition and smoothen the lashes along with a chemical compound
called PELEMOLВ®D 2000, which makes the mascara ... Show more content on

Within three steps that include an oil soluble phase, a water soluble phase and the
blending process, the mascara is finally perfectly made for the customer s use. The
first two phases take place to process the two main oil and water compounds. After
blending the compounds, the liquid mascara is tested by a chemist. It is then filled
into mascara bottles and ready to go. As can be seen, the Egyptians were the first to
introduce honey usage in the mascara making process to keep it weather proof and
protect it from running. Honey remains as one of the main cosmetic ingredients in

Lee College Art Exhibit Analysis
Lee College is currently hosting an exhibit of art created by students. During the
tour of the exhibit I saw some very interesting art that I could relate to. The location
of the art exhibit was placed in an area in which anyone could see and appreciate
the work students had performed. This was my first time touring an art exhibit at
Lee College and it was a very unique experience. Art itself is interesting because it
has many different points of view. It can be attractive and appealing or
unappealing if seen from a different perspective. One piece of art that caught my
interest the most was a painting of a man with part of his face dissolving, like it
was being faded away. It caught my attention because I perceived it as if he was

The Story of an Hour , I have decided to write my essay on the use of symbolism.
The literary device symbolism is a technique used to represent ideas and events by
using significant or important things that stand out in the story. A few things that
stood out most in the story would be the comfortable chair, and Mrs. Mallard s heart
troubles. Other things used to represent symbolism in the story were the blue sky
and the open window. Mrs. Mallard had significant heart problems and this was
stated in the beginning of the story. A heart is a symbol of emotional care and... Show

Rhetorical Analysis Of Ram Trucks
Ram Trucks, founded by the Chrysler Group in 2009, was created to focus on the
public needs with the pickup truck. In a male dominated truck industry,
approximately 11% of pickup trucks are registered under females. With such a small
number of women buying trucks, Ram debuted a television advertisement, during the
141th Kentucky Derby, to promote their new truckto women. By doing so, they
inspire women to break the stereotypes, especially the male dominated truck industry.
Through its carefully incorporated narration, Ram appeals to the courage of women
through aural and visual techniques and utilizes specific examples of females, who
overcame obstacles in their profession, to provide further inspiration and create a
valuable rhetorical commercial.
Ram immediately begins their advertisement by utilizing logos and pathos to
embolden women to fight against stereotypes. First, in the narration, the commercial
exploits a series of repetitive rhetorical question and appeals to the audacious
emotions of the audience. Ram repeats have you ever thought multiple time in order
to capture the viewer s attention. This use of rhetorical questions establishes an
understanding and inviting tone that prepares the viewer for Ram s overarching
message. Next, allowing the viewer to comprehend these rhetorical questions, Ram
briefly pauses. Following this pause, Ram articulates their message: You can break a
stereotype and throw it into a whole nother gear. Because the courage
Outline Of The Dinosaur Extinction

The Dinosaur Extinction:
Introduction to the K T event.
Theories of extinction.
Assumptions of extinction:
1.Due to climate change.
2.Due to small mammals that ate dinosaur eggs.
3.Due to dinosaurs bodies that are too big to be worked by their little brains.
4.Due to starvation.
5.Due to environmental change.
6.Due to Supernova that showered the earth in radiation.
7.Due to iridium enriched mud.
Extinction Still a theory.
The K T event, or the Cretaceous Tertiary extinction event, is the name given for the
vanishing of the dinosaurs and different species that took place about 65 million
year back. For ages, scientists believed that this event was caused due to the
atmospheric and topographical changes that invaded on the dinosaurs food supply.
But, in the 1980s, researchers Luis and Walter Alvarez discovered a layer of iridium
on the earth s surface. It suggests that a comet, space rock or meteor effect might
have caused the extinction of the dinosaurs. In the 1990s, researchers found the
enormous Chicxulub Crater at the tip of Mexico s Yucantan Peninsula, which dates to
the period being referred [1].
There are various theories, yet no proofs. Dinosaurs wandered the earth for about 160
million years until their sudden eradication approximately 65 million years prior, in a
K T extinction event. Other than dinosaurs, numerous different types animals and
plants ceased to
Your Life As A Girl By Curtis Sittenfeld
What does being beautiful really mean? It is the possessing qualities that give
great pleasure or satisfaction to see, hear, or think about. It goes way beyond the
looks but what is within. The media seems to have a different view on beauty. The
concept to tell someone what they are or what they should be, is what the media
exhibits to society with ideal females known as models. In Curtis Sittenfeld, Your
Life as a Girl, she describes the life as a female and the way they are being viewed.
Although all females are beautiful, they feel like they need to appear a certain way
to be categorized as such. Living in a world where others opinions are more
powerful than one s own, makes it harder for women to actually consider themselves
as being beautiful.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Being noticed boost the confidence of women which makes them assume their
appearance has to be exceptional. How someone looks physically gives others a
first impression of that person. For women to be noticed by men they feel like
they have to look a certain way. In the short story the author explains one of many
of the struggles that females go through, Sittenfeld declares, Maybe if you do sit

presence will be admirable. Seeing this happen every day, women trying to be

The Importance Of The Great Barrier Reef
Some people consider coral reefs the most beautiful places on earth. With the plants
and animals progressing all around the beautiful corals, it is spectacular. Located on
the northeast coast of Australia, there lies a place just like this. This is the Great
Barrier Reef. These coral reefs are called, the rainforest of the ocean, because it
supports a huge diversity of life. Coralreefs are more than just beauty, they are a
home to fish and other creatures. They protect humans against floods and storms.
The reef not only contains an abundance of marine life, but it is also the world s
largest coral reefsystem. It is so gigantic, astronauts could see it all the way from
outer space. This paper offers an extensive amount of information about the Great
Barrier Reef, including how it was formed, the animals that call it home, and how it
is dying.
In the Coral Sea of Queensland, Australia, the Great Barrier Reef covers the shore.
It begins at the tip of Cape York Peninsula in the north and continues down to
Bundaberg in the south. It is called The Great Barrier Reef because it creates a
border between the coast and the Pacific Ocean. Having an area of about 344,400
km, it is monumental. The reef, stretching between 15 to 150 kilometers from the
shore, is filled with brilliant, vivid fish and corals. The Great Barrier Reef was Kaiser

bottom of the reef. It was stuck there for a day,

duty to his country. In 1996 he signs up for the U.S. military, and is recommended
for the Navy SEALs, at the time a (compared to other things) unknown branch
trained to fight on land, in the sea, and in the air. Kyle makes it through intense
physical training, during which he s water boarded, forced to exercise for hours at

Symptoms Of Asthma
Asthma is a chronic disorder of the lungs in which inflamed airways are prone to
constrict. This causes episodes of breathlessness. Wheezing, coughing, and chest
tightness that range in severity from mild to life threatening degrees. Asthma causes a
variety of symptoms that can worsen at any time, which makes breathing difficult.
Asthmacannot be cured, but it can definitely be managed. Some days victims may
have symptoms, and other days they won t. However, not having symptoms of
asthma does not mean your asthma has gone away. Asthma doesn t necessarily slow

Some inhalers that are popular in the United States are Symbicort or HCP. Inhalers
should be used by asthma patients before the attack (when you start to feel the
early symptoms of an attack). Some patients also have a daily inhaler that is
necessary for everyday activities, some are used for sports or other activities that
may make breathing difficult. There are different inhalers for attacks in particular.
If the attack is severe you can use the longer acting inhalers to keep the airways
open, or an oral steroid. Millions of families and individuals have to deal with the
severity and expenses of having asthma. The estimated cost of asthma in 2002 was
$6.1 million. $11.5 billion indirect medical expenses and 4.6 billion in lost earnings
because of the disease and deaths. In addition to medical costs, working parents of
children with asthma lose about $1 million a year in productivity. There are some
websites you can go on to donate to the asthma organizations to help with the
expenses of asthma. Fortunately, asthma isn t as life threatening as other incurable
diseases, but it is still affecting millions of lives negatively
The Pros And Cons Of Gay Adoption
An estimated 65,000 adopted children are living with homosexual parents
(Tavernise). That s about fifteen percent of the total number of kids in the foster care
system. For ages people have been against homosexual adoption because they think
only heterosexuals should be able to adopt children. Fortunately, as of June 2015,
homosexual adoptionis legal in all fifty states. Just imagine if the thousands of kids
did not have a home just because homosexuals were not allowed to adopt. That
would be 65,000 more kids who do not have a home or live in foster care. Some
adolescents might even live out on the streets or in unsafe places. Although many
may think that same sex couples are unfit to raise and adopt kids, children of same
sex couples are actually happier and healthier than when raised by heterosexual
couples.
For many, the thought of there being a child with two mothers or two fathers is
simply atrocious. Some people do not think that homosexuals are fit for the role of a
parent. According to Gary Glenn, Direct consequences of homosexual behavior
experience dramatically higher risks of domestic violence, mental illness, and
substance abuse, thus putting children in danger. However, many studies have shown
that this is not the case. An individual s sexual orientation does not affect the risk of
getting the behaviors listed above. Any person is susceptible to having a disorder.
Glenn also vocalizes that Children of homosexuals are more at risk for anxiety,
depression, OCD, and bipolar disorder. This is a very dramatic statement, again
considering anyone could have one of those disorders, regardless of their parents
sexual orientation. Alternatively, studies have shown that homosexual people make
for quality parents. For example, Sabrina Tavernise suggests that homosexual parents
are actually more affluent and educated than heterosexual parents. Those attributes
are very helpful, especially when raising children. The benefits of homosexual
adoption far outweigh the negatives in this circumstance.
Children of homosexual parents are prone to be more happy than those of
heterosexual parents. There are numerous positive impacts for the children. Various
studies have been done to show the impacts. Of 77

The Core Arguments Of Hershey Company
The core arguments of Hershey Company in this case are very clearly stated.
Senator Steve Hershey used their company s Trade Dress on multiple campaign
signs for multiple elections. In 2002, Mr. Hershey was running for commissioner
of Queen Anne s County in Maryland. He used a design for his campaign that
looked very similar to a Hershey s chocolate bar wrapper. The background was
brown, the lettering was white, and the font was bolded in all capital letters. In
2010, Steve Hershey used a design that looked even more similar to a Hershey s

to regain the Holy Land taken in the Muslim conquests of the Levant, resulting in the
capture of Jerusalem in 1099. The People s Crusade recruited many peasants which
slaughtered populations of Jews in Europe and then attacked Muslims in Anatolia,
where they were decisively defeated. In 1096, the official Crusader armies, led by a

increased by %74. This will provide for the Gold Coast, as this money is needed to
create sporting venues and a Commonwealth Games village that will also leave
long term economic benefits for the community. The Gold Coast Aquatic Centre is
receiving around $59.3 Million for the significant planning work and
redevelopment that it s receiving to provide a better venue for the games. The
Commonwealth Games Village is being planned as well; $46.1 Million has been

The Relationship Between Log Disease And Heart Disease
Heart disease is the number one condition responsible for the deaths of both men
and women in the United States. If you are trying to improve your health to
decrease the likelihood of developing a heart disease, you should look closely at
your gums. According to the dentists at Legacy Dental Arts in Eagle River, AK, there
has been a long time link between gum disease and heartdisease.
Although the link is still not entirely clear, dentists and cardiologists have known of
the connection between gum health and heart disease for a while. According to
experts in both fields, one of the main noticeable tie ins between a person s oral and
heart health is inflammation. This is a common problem in both diseases: the

Comparing Stonehenge And The Egyptian Pyramids At Giza
Ever since ancient times, humans have used their uniquely creative minds to organize
and construct awe inspiring architecture. Our planet, once an empty canvas for
human innovation, is now coated with manmade constructions. But before towering
skyscrapers, grand hotels, and modern chapels came into existence, the world was
bejeweled with ancient forms of engineering. Two of the more popular constructions
from the ancient world include Stonehenge and the Egyptian pyramidsat Giza. These
incredible megaliths are seemingly very different, but share various similarities, and
both help archaeologists gain insight to the religious beliefs and socio political
organization of the people who constructed them. Although Stonehenge and the
Pyramids are both marvels of the ancient world, the differ from each other in many
ways. While the construction for both began around the same time period
construction for Stonehenge began around 3100 BCE (Dr. Senta German) while the
pyramids began around 2580 BCE (The Great Pyramid of Giza) the time spent
building Stonehenge far exceeded the time spent building the Pyramids. Unlike the
Pyramids, Stonehenge was built in three phases. The first phase of construction
began when a great circular ditch about six feet deep was dug with a bank of dirt
within it about 360 feet in diameter, with a large entrance to the northeast and a
smaller one to the south (Dr. Senta German). Within this ditch, known as a henge,
were 56 pits, known as Aubrey holes filled with either upright bluestones or upright
wooden beams, whose original purpose is unknown. The second phase began
approximately 100 200 years later and involved a circle of upright wooden posts in
the center of this henge. More upright posts were also erected near the northeast and
southern entrances. During this phase, the site of Stonehenge was used for burials; at
least 25 of the Aubrey holes were emptied and reused to hold cremation burials and
another 30 cremation burial pits were dug into the ditch of the henge and in the
eastern portion within the henge enclosure (Dr. Senta German). During the third and
final stage, occurring 400 500 years later, Stonehenge was completely remodeled.

Liking Is for Cowards. Go for What Hurts
We live in a world where the internet and social media plays a big role. There are
constantly becoming less and less physical contact, and fewer face to face
relations. This is demonstrated by the fact that we keep in touch with each other
over Facebook, shopping takes place over the internet, we keep up with our
economy whit online banking and meet friends and lovers over online dating sites.
In late modern society, we are always available. But are we really missing out on a
lot of important stuff, and is this necessarily a bad thing? This is also the theme in
Jonathan Franzen s essay, Liking is for Cowards. Go for What Hurts from 2011. The

He makes sure that it is interesting and fun for the young generation to read his
essay, he is doing this by the personal stories and fun comparisons, but also by
using words and phenomena the young readers can relate to, for an example he
uses words as liking and friending , Liking, in general, is commercial culture s
substitute for loving (p.9, l. 83 85) phenomena s from facebook. On the other hand
Jonathan Franzen also uses some foreign words as carbon foodprint , anesthetized
dream by using these foreign words he makes sure to seem smart , so we get the
feeling of a person who knows what he is talking about, and on the other hand also a
fun and interesting person. This is again something that strengthens his ethos appeal,
so it is easier for him to convince and engage the young readers. If he was writing in a
way with no humor, only foreign words, and maybe used a lot of statistics facts,
instead of personal stories, he would not engage the young readers. So by writing in
this very specific way, he knows that the youngster will find his essay fun and
interesting. So as you see Jonathan Franzen uses a lot of different methods to
convince and engage the young readers.
Jonathan Franzen s main message is that, the young generation should spend more
time in the real world instead of the world of liking . He wants the young readers to

Vikings Mistakes
In 844 AD, the Vikings first made an attack on the coast of Spain during the reign of
king Ramiro | of Asturias. A group of the Viking fleet surrounded the Asturias coast
in the region of GijГіn (Gegio) (located north), though when they finally knew how
powerfully this city was protected and reinforced, they left. Later on, they arrived at
the old lighthouse at Coruna (the Hercules tower), also known as Farum Brigantium
in that time. The Vikings tried to raid the city, but the local people defended it
bravely. King Ramiro assembled an army and defeated the Vikings in a furious battle.
Spanish historians reveled over their victory which they believed was very important.

didn t stop even after the big defeat at the Hercules tower. They sailed around the

destroyed the coast. And then they finally reached Lisbon and took control of the city
and the areas surrounding it. Following that, they sailed to CГЎdiz, Sidonia, and

Creating False Memory, By Elizabeth Loftus
False memory refers to a phenomenon that makes an individual believe that they
remember events in their lives but in real sense, these events have never occurred. In
most cases, these events are traumatic, and relate to sexual abuse. False memory
syndrome was postulated in 1992 in an attempt to explain the theory of adult
childhood memory. Adults who remember sexual abuse events when they were young
may be creating an occurrence that never happened or information that is not correct.
Synopsis
Nadean Cool attended therapeutic sessions with the hope of modifying her reaction
to the shocking events of her daughter. The therapist misguided her. The therapist

Loftus argues that people can be shaped to remember their past in different ways.
She used a study about getting lost in a Mall to show that individuals can be
prompted to recollect the whole events that occurred to them (Loftus 74).
Imagination can also create a false memory of an occurrence that never happened.
Loftus and her colleagues requested the participant to record on a scale the possibility
of the forty events named occurred in their childhood. After two weeks, they were
allowed to imagine some of the occurrences they had said never happened in their
childhood. They were asked to rate the events again. Individuals, who participated in
the imagining test, became convinced that the incident happened (Loftus 75).
In summary, the discussion about the false memory syndrome is far from being
complete. False memory syndrome makes it difficult to judge the viability of an
event and is very hard to banish from ones memory. A small false creation embeds
in the mind for a very long time. Once an individual creates a false memory, it
becomes part and parcel of his or her life. Therapeutic sessions should be taken with
care so as to reduce false memory implanted to reduce

In ancient times there was segregation in funerals where females could not attend the
funerals of their male relatives, but modern Iranians don t do this unless extremely

The time of day is important for someone who died if the person dies during the day
they are taken to the local mosque to be cleaned and prepared for burial but if the

Before pacing the body into the grave, the coffin is placed on the ground three

Council Of Chalcedon Essay
However, a diverse group ranging from the monks at Constantinople to Egyptian
bishops loyal to Dioscorus opposed the definition. They considered themselves as Pro
Nicene and anti Nestorian, but they worried that the council was being heretic .
Ultimately, the Chalcedonian definition stated that after the incarnation, Christ was
in two natures without mixture, change, division or separation .
Furthermore, part of the disagreement between the Eastern and Western Church was
because the definition stated that Christ is acknowledged in two natures, which come
together into one person and one hypostasis. The critics (some Eastern churches)
understood this to side with western Christology, they felt that it diverged from the
teachings of Cyril of Alexandria who said that Christ has one nature. The church of
Alexandria felt that the definition should have stated that Christ is to be
acknowledged as out of two natures and not in two natures . However, some scholars
argue that the language of two natures also derives from Cyril . Ultimately, the

In the case of Nestorianism, if the incarnation was a case of a male son of Mary
being indwelt by the divine son of God, then Jesus Christ is not different from a
Christian because Christians believe that they are indwelt by the son. If that was the
case, then the incarnation did not take place. This would make the doctrine of
atonement null and void because it would suggest that Christians were saved by a
human being leading to whether human suffering can atone for sins. In the case of
Eutychianism, if Christ s humanity was swallowed up in his divinity, then the
incarnation (God becoming man) did not really take place, but it seems to be more a
case of man extinguished and lost in God, thereby also making the incarnation null

Lorenzo de Medici, who at the time was governor of Florence, in order to return to

After conquering a city there are a limited amount of way to keep a principality
that is acusstime to living under its own laws. You can decide to destroy it, reside
in it, or allow for a form of self government that is friendly to the prince and take
tribute from it. According to Machiavelli in chapter 5, while all these ways may
sound appealing to the ears, when using the eyes you quickly see that the only
sure way is to destroy it. He proceeds to say how when the Romans conquered
Capua, Carthage, and Numantia they had to dismantle them of all former culture,
laws, and important figures in society in order to gain full control of the three city
states. While some may cringe at the word destruction, others like Machiavelli
found it hopeful. With the destruction and dismantle of a city state the newly found
Lord is allowing for a new book to be written. He can revoke all restrictions that had
previously existed and use his. Machiavelli finds this important because if one were
not to do this the citizens could form together and rebel in the name of freedom,
which once tasted is not easily forgotten. They would continue to use their own laws,
culture and religion clashing with their new lords, which would then lead to an
uprising to bring about a new Lord that had originated from their own
The French and Indian War Led to the Revolutionary War
Essay
The French and Indian War, which happened between 1754 and 1763 was a
stepping stone for what would become known as the Revolutionary War. The French
and Indian War was originally a dispute over the Ohio River Valley. The French
considered it their territory, where as the English considered it theirs. While it was a
territorial dispute between the countries, the war took place in the colonies. The
colonist fought bravely beside the British, whereas the Indians sided with the French.
At the beginning all the countries wanted was to claim the Ohio RiverValley as their
own; however, the outcome of the war was very different. By fighting for that
territory, the French sacrificed not only Quebec, but also all claim on land in the

Right before the Stamp Act, the Indian Chief Pontiac attacked the colonist trying to
drive them from the land for the last time. The rebellion resulted in Britain passing
the Proclamation of 1763 after realizing they did not have the means to protect the
vast amount of land they had acquired. The Proclamation stated that no one could
settle past the Appalachian Mountains. This law angered the colonist because they
believed that the land was rightfully theirs. Before the war, the colonists were in a
time of Salutary Neglect. Colonist could go about their business, passing laws,
running the government how they wanted. The militia was under the control of
American colonist and people such as George Washingtoncould rise to the rank of
Corporal. The British government had little involvement in the colonies as long as
the colonies provided them with raw goods. However, with the start of the war,
Salutary Neglect was over. As the British got involved in the fighting, colonist near
the fighting soon joined them. However, the government passed laws that made
them second class soldiers compared to the British soldiers. American colonist
could not rise above the rank of Captain, which was very demeaning to people like
Washington who had been a Corporal in the Virginia Militia. The colonists were
also treated like crap when it came to service. According to a soldier during the
French and Indian War, the conditions in which soldiers worked, made it seem like the

views. It is an ideology that uses female nature or female essence to commend the
positive aspects of feminine personality. It is based on an essentialist view of

Amber Rose, an actress and model who features and various hip hop music videos

Analysis Of Waiting For Godot
Throughout Samuel Beckett s Waiting For Godot, a deceptively simplistic tale of two
men waiting for the arrival of a seemingly divide entity uncovers the truth of mankind
s existence. Estragon and Vladimir, the two protagonists, are stuck in a vicious cycle
of hopeful waiting, only to find that Godot, the mysteriously omnipresent and
omniscient being in the play, never arrives. While they patiently anticipate his arrival,
they encounter a type of bondage that illustrates the very significance of
insignificance as illustrated through Pozzoand his human slave, Lucky. All four
characters are destined to acknowledge the nonexistence of life itself, each being on
his own path to a sacred state of endless acceptance that is ultimately reflective of
mankind in its entirety. The ritualistic waiting illustrated by Vladimir and Estragonis a
portrayal of how mankind s attempts to accept meaninglessness are futile due to a
nebulous force that constantly drives the characters. Unlike Pozzo and Lucky,
Vladimir and Estragon essentially cannot leave the stage of life because they
continually embrace the notion of hope associated with the eventual arrival of the

Chapter Summary Of The Hot Zone
The Hot Zone by Richard Preston The Hot Zone, a novel by Richard Preston
explores a close encounter and near outbreak of the Ebola virus in a military
controlled monkeyhouse. The story follows real life examples of cases, as well as
many fictional characters with new experiences with the virus. The book is
considered a thriller, as many of the situations feel they could happen at any time,
leaving some readers on the edge of their seats. The novel informed the nation on
what likely could be a reality, with some chapters focusing solely on the various
symptoms one goes through when contracted with Ebolaand Marburg. It also focuses
on the origin of the virus and what treatment can be offered to those afflicted. The

The language used in the book also helps give readers a better idea of some of the
scientific and viral information. For example, in the section titled Total
Immersion on page 58, it states, A virus is a parasite. It can t live on its own...A
virus makes copies of itself inside a cell...or viruses can bud through a cell wall,
like drips out of a faucet drip, drip, drip, drip, copy, copy, copy, copy... Here,
Preston uses an analogy and repetition to reinforce the habits of a virus to the reader.
This proves effective as Preston uses this analogy throughout the section to drive the
point home. Another example of the author using creative techniques to further
explain subjects is found on page 95. Viruses are too small to be seen. Here is a
way to imagine the size of a virus. Consider the island of Manhattan shrunk to this
size: в†ї This Manhattan could easily hold 9,000,000 viruses. Here, Preston uses real
life examples to inform and clarify to the reader. Language tools like these are just a
few instances where the author blends fiction and nonfiction, one characteristic that
makes this book
Summary Of Mike Rose s Blue Collar Brilliance
In Blue Collar Brilliance, Mike Rose states that intelligence is closely associated
with formal education the type of schooling a person has, how much, and how
long. (p. 276) He supports his statement by using his mother, Rosie, and uncle, Joe,
as examples by showing how they used different skills to perform their jobs. Mike
describes his mother as an example by acknowledging that she s a hard working
waitress and explaining the skills her job required. A waitress acquires knowledge
and intuition about the ways and the rhythms of the restaurant business. (Mike 274)
Rosie learned how to develop memorization strategies to keep up with the business:

Exact Optimization And Optimization Algorithm
Exact optimisation method is the optimisation method that can guarantee to find all
optimal solutions. In principle, the optimality of generated solution can be proofed
mathematically. Therefore, exact optimisation is also termed as mathematical
optimisation. However, exact optimisation approach is impractical usually. The effort
of solving an optimisation problem by exact optimisation grows polynomially with
the problem size. For example, to solve a problem by brute force approach, the
execution time increases exponentially respect to the dimensions of the problem.
The idea of applying exact optimisation approach on requirements selection and
optimisation is similar with search based requirements optimisation. The only
difference is that, instead of using search based optimisation algorithm, the search
based requirements selection and optimisation problem is tracked with exact
optimisation algorithm. There are three main categories exact optimisations found in
the literature. They are Integer linear programming [25], dynamic programming [26],
and exhaustive search [27].
Uncertainty is ubiquitous and accompanies all events in the real world. It covers all
fields of scientific studies, and is inevitable in many aspects of decision making
[28]. The essence of uncertainty is the lack of complete knowledge at the time a
decision must be made [7]. Uncertainty arises from different sources in various
forms, and complicates and affects decision making [28]. Even worse, it may

Over Indulgence In Materialistic Views In The Veldt By
Ray...
Many people would argue that society has become oblivious to the side effects of
indulging in materialistic objects. Although Ray Bradbury wrote the story The
Veldt over 50 years ago, he discusses this timeless issue of people caring more for
materialistic objects than each other. In Bradbury s short story The Veldt , the
children in the family, Wendy and Peter, have relied on the technological objects
they have too much, and will do anything to keep them despite being told no by
their parents, George and Lydia. Through the use of imagery, motifs and
foreshadowing Ray Bradbury proves that over indulgence in materialistic views can
have grave consequences. Ray Bradbury uses foreshadowing to prove that over
indulgence in materialistic views can have grave consequences. For example on page
3, Bradbury hints that the children will do something bad because he writes, When I
punished him a month ago by locking the nursery... the tantrum he threw (Bradbury
3). The reader continues to grow worried about Peter and Wendy s behavior when
there are screams coming from the nursery. Therefore, Bradbury establishes that
the children are overly connected to their tech not their own parents. That is why
it is not surprising to the reader when the kids lock their parents in the nursery to
get them killed. This is shows foreshadowing works in proving that over
indulgence in materialistic views can have grave consequences by showing that in
this perfect utopia, this is the first that the reader has heard anything about a
kerfuffle between the children and the parents. Another reason why, is the parents
are talking about turning the whole house off for a month which is a lot longer
than a few hours. In conclusion Bradbury uses the dark hints of the parent s demise
to prove that over indulgence in materialistic views can have grave consequences,
by showing that when people become too reliable on the things that they can hold,
and as soon as they are taken away, we have no idea what to do without them. Ray
Bradbury uses motifs to prove that over indulgence in materialistic views can have
grave consequences. For example on page 5 George, the father, is walking down the
hall and hears a scream coming from the nursery. The sound

the benefits of beer yoga includes the fact that it doesn t require advanced yoga
skills. In fact, no yoga experience is necessary but rather just an open mind and a
love for beer. The philosophies being taught in yoga classes are still incorporated in
beer yoga along with the utmost pleasure of drinking beer to help you achieve the
peak level of your consciousness. After all, alcohol can make you unbalance if taken
too much, but beer yoga might be able to help you deal with it in a matter of time.
Currently, beer yoga reached Australian shores as well as some countries in Southeast
Asia. Unfortunately, there are no beer yoga in UK yet, but that doesn t mean you

Teaching Experience I Had A Blackmon Road Middle School
The teaching experience I had a Blackmon Road Middle School was a very good
experience that was eye opening. The 7th graders of Dr. Latta Won class were
excellent, shy but a very interesting group of students to teach. With this experience
I gained a plethora of knowledge. On November 17, 2016, I was the lead teacher
who taught the lesson The Reflection I Am . After teaching the students a lot of
things were observed and some good and bad things came out of the overall lesson.
In this lesson there were some intended content and activities, the actual teaching
experience was more different than I thought it would be, and the students work has
led to a revision of the original lesson plan.
The intended lesson for the Reflection I Am evolved around inheritance. The
objectives were students will be able to distinguish between a gene and chromosome,
illustrate a Punnett square, and connect chromosomes, genes, alleles to inheriting a
trait. To achieve this I created a 5e Lesson Plan alongside with my partner and
teacher, with a pretest before engagement. For the engagement the students looked at
a family tree and pointed out distinctive traits that the mom, dad, and their son had. I
then asked the students what are distinctive traits that the son had that the father did,
and what distinctive traits the son had that the mother had; a connection that the son
had traits from both parents were made successfully by the students. In exploration,
the students worked in group of two s
Canterbury Tales Squire Essay
In the Canterbury Tales, Geoffry Chaucer, meets and describes twenty nine
pilgrims. While all of their reasons and intentions differ, they are all going to visit
the shrine of Sir Thomas Beckett. Chaucer uses many different methods to
describe his characters. To describe the squire, he chooses to focus on his
appearence, his abilities, and his sexuality but the more that is revealed about the
Squire s character, the more likely it seems that his talents lie elsewhere than on the
battlefield. Many lines are dedicated to his appearence. It is made apparent that he
cares how he looks to others as his hair is first described as locks curled as they were
laid in a press (______ 81). Furthermore, his apparel is described as being
Embroidered... as it were a mead (_______ 89). His appearence being made an
apparent priority, comes off to... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Mentioning only Briefly the Squires battlefield experience, Chacuer explains his
horseback skills, Well could he sit on horse and fairВЏ ride (______ 94). Otherwise
he is only ever given credit for his skills with knives while at dinner with his father,
carved before his father at the table (_____ 100). Besides his duties on the
battlefield, the Squire is tremendously talented with fine arts. He is able to dance,
sing, write and tell stories. These being applaudable skills, mean nothing to his true
posistion in town. He is highly skilled in places where it does not matter which
also eludes to what he actually cares about. He has just shortly been brought into
his apprenticeship but is already very distinguished; some of his characteristics may
give light to the reasons he is. The Squire is described as a lusty batchelor (_____l
80). There is proof that he acts in hope of ladies approval when Chaucer says And
borne him well as in so little space conducted / In hope to standen in his lady s grace

Literature Review Essay.pdf

  • 1. Literature Review Essay Writing a literature review essay can be a challenging task that requires a combination of critical thinking, research skills, and effective communication. The difficulty lies in the intricate process of synthesizing existing literature, analyzing various perspectives, and presenting a coherent narrative that contributes to the academic discourse. Firstly, the task demands a thorough understanding of the chosen topic and a comprehensive review of relevant literature. This involves delving into numerous academic journals, books, and articles to gather a diverse range of perspectives and insights. The extensive research required can be time-consuming and mentally taxing, as it involves sifting through a vast amount of information to identify key themes, theories, and findings. Once the research is completed, organizing the information in a logical and coherent manner poses another challenge. Crafting a literature review essay involves synthesizing diverse ideas and presenting them in a structured format that reflects a clear progression of thought. It requires the ability to draw connections between different studies, highlight commonalities, and identify gaps in the existing literature. Moreover, maintaining a critical and analytical stance throughout the essay is crucial. Evaluating the strengths and limitations of each source, identifying biases, and assessing the overall quality of the literature adds an additional layer of complexity. Balancing objectivity while expressing a unique perspective is a delicate task that demands a keen eye for detail and a nuanced understanding of the subject matter. Furthermore, the language and style of the essay must be academically sound. Crafting a piece that is not only grammatically correct but also conveys complex ideas with clarity and precision is essential. The challenge lies in finding the right balance between formality and readability, ensuring that the essay is accessible to a diverse audience while maintaining academic rigor. In conclusion, writing a literature review essay requires a multifaceted skill set encompassing research proficiency, critical analysis, organizational skills, and effective communication. It is a demanding process that necessitates dedication and a thorough understanding of the subject matter. However, despite its challenges, successfully navigating through the complexities of a literature review essay can be a rewarding intellectual exercise. • 2. Lisa Zunshine s Theory Of Mind Lisa Zunshine establishes through her theory Theory of Mind and Experimental Representations of Fictional Consciousness the readiness of human cognitive abilities to read physical behaviour as indicative of mental states. Although seemingly automatic, mind reading abilities are not always correct. Readers interpretation of physical cues stem from personal thoughts and beliefs and dominate narratorial voices that skew intended meaning. Zunshine s Theory of Mindexplores behavioural interpretation in Virginia Woolf s Mrs. Dalloway character Septimus Warren Smith. The novel challenges readers mind reading abilities in deciphering Septimus s mental illness through dominant narratorial voices and levels of intentionality and their own interpretations. However, misinterpretations are not wrong because readers use Theory of Mind to interpret it, rather novels stimulate intended readers to exercise their abilities.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Scientists coined this evolved mental adaptation for understanding behaviour as indicative of mental states mind reading or Theory of Mind (ToM) (Zunshine 847). Although it is used towards social interactions, the human mind cannot distinguish between real or fictional minds. Zunshine deems that default interpretation of behaviour reflects a character s state of mind and that every fictional story that we read reinforces our tendency to make that kind of interpretation first (Zunshine 850). As readers practice their mind reading through fictional characters, the observable behaviour is often connected with readers assumptions, beliefs, and ideas. Stories are incomplete and ask readers to create their own meaning. However, they are challenged to practice their meaning making with dominant narratorial voices and behavioural

From Baker s Yeast to the Nobel Prize: A Biologist s Quest to Elucidate Autophagy Molecular cell biologist, Yoshinori Ohsumi, won the 2016 Nobel Prize for his discoveries of autophagy mechanisms. His life s work changed the world s perspective on a fundamental process, and now, thousands of scientists use his research to develop potential treatment solutions for chronic diseases. Learn more... I want everyone to understand the nature of fundamental research is such that it develops in ways sometimes not initially anticipated but has an immense and beneficial impact on society, said Yoshinori Ohsumi. On Oct. 3, the 71 year old molecular cell biologist stood amongst a sea of reporters and colleagues at the Tokyo Institute of Technology (TITECH) and echoed these words that he often shares with his students. Ohsumi won this year s Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine for nearly three decades of fundamental research in autophagy the process by which cells recycle their own contents. On Dec. 10, Ohsumi will stand on stage in Stockholm, this time in front of the global scientific community, to accept his award and join the ranks of other Nobel laureates. I remember fancifully dreaming of receiving the Nobel Prize as a child, but once I became a researcher, any thought of receiving the award completely left my consciousness as I focused on science, said Ohsumi at the TITECH press conference. • 5. A Brief Story Of Walt Disney And Roy O. Disney Walt Disney and Roy O. Disney began their greatest endeavor in 1923 when they officially founded the Disney Brothers Cartoon Studio. With their headquarters officially established in Burbank, California they established themselves as the leader in the American animation industry. The first step taken in the mascara making process is the oil soluble phase formation. This phase consists of mixing four types of wax that produce a semi liquid gel coat that shines the lashes. That s about fifteen percent of the total number of kids in the foster care system. For ages people have been against homosexual adoption because they think only heterosexuals should be able to adopt children. Fortunately, as of June 2015, homosexual adoptionis legal in all fifty states. Just imagine if the thousands of kids did not have a home just because homosexuals were not allowed to adopt. That would be 65,000 more kids who do not have a home or live in foster care. Some adolescents might even live out on the streets or in unsafe places. Although many may think that same sex couples are unfit to raise and adopt kids, children of same sex couples are actually happier and healthier than when raised by heterosexual couples. For many, the thought of there being a child with two mothers or two fathers is simply atrocious. Some people do not think that homosexuals are fit for the role of a parent. According to Gary Glenn, Direct consequences of homosexual behavior experience dramatically higher risks of domestic violence, mental illness, and substance abuse, thus putting children in danger. However, many studies have shown that this is not the case. An individual s sexual orientation does not affect the risk of getting the behaviors listed above. Any person is susceptible to having a disorder. Glenn also vocalizes that Children of homosexuals are more at risk for anxiety, depression, OCD, and bipolar disorder. This is a very dramatic statement, again considering anyone could have one of those disorders, regardless of their parents sexual orientation. Alternatively, studies have shown that homosexual people make for quality parents. For example, Sabrina Tavernise suggests that homosexual parents are actually more affluent and educated than heterosexual parents. Those attributes are very helpful, especially when raising children. The benefits of homosexual adoption far outweigh the negatives in this circumstance. Children of homosexual parents are prone to be more happy than those of heterosexual parents. There are numerous positive impacts for the children. Various studies have been done to show the impacts. Of 77

Our planet, once an empty canvas for human innovation, is now coated with manmade constructions. But before towering skyscrapers, grand hotels, and modern chapels came into existence, the world was bejeweled with ancient forms of engineering. Two of the more popular constructions from the ancient world include Stonehenge and the Egyptian pyramidsat Giza. These incredible megaliths are seemingly very different, but share various similarities, and both help archaeologists gain insight to the religious beliefs and socio political organization of the people who constructed them. Although Stonehenge and the Pyramids are both marvels of the ancient world, the differ from each other in many ways. While the construction for both began around the same time period construction for Stonehenge began around 3100 BCE (Dr. Senta German) while the pyramids began around 2580 BCE (The Great Pyramid of Giza) the time spent building Stonehenge far exceeded the time spent building the Pyramids. Unlike the Pyramids, Stonehenge was built in three phases. The first phase of construction began when a great circular ditch about six feet deep was dug with a bank of dirt within it about 360 feet in diameter, with a large entrance to the northeast and a smaller one to the south (Dr. Senta German). Within this ditch, known as a henge, were 56 pits, known as Aubrey holes filled with either upright bluestones or upright wooden beams, whose original purpose is unknown. The second phase began approximately 100 200 years later and involved a circle of upright wooden posts in the center of this henge. More upright posts were also erected near the northeast and southern entrances. During this phase, the site of Stonehenge was used for burials; at least 25 of the Aubrey holes were emptied and reused to hold cremation burials and another 30 cremation burial pits were dug into the ditch of the henge and in the eastern portion within the henge enclosure (Dr. Senta German). During the third and final stage, occurring 400 500 years later, Stonehenge was completely remodeled. The central wooden beams from stage two

He makes sure that it is interesting and fun for the young generation to read his essay, he is doing this by the personal stories and fun comparisons, but also by using words and phenomena the young readers can relate to, for an example he uses words as liking and friending , Liking, in general, is commercial culture s substitute for loving (p.9, l. 83 85) phenomena s from facebook. On the other hand Jonathan Franzen also uses some foreign words as carbon foodprint , anesthetized dream by using these foreign words he makes sure to seem smart , so we get the feeling of a person who knows what he is talking about, and on the other hand also a fun and interesting person. This is again something that strengthens his ethos appeal, so it is easier for him to convince and engage the young readers. If he was writing in a way with no humor, only foreign words, and maybe used a lot of statistics facts, instead of personal stories, he would not engage the young readers. So by writing in this very specific way, he knows that the youngster will find his essay fun and interesting. So as you see Jonathan Franzen uses a lot of different methods to convince and engage the young readers. Jonathan Franzen s main message is that, the young generation should spend more time in the real world instead of the world of liking . He wants the young readers to understand

Creating False Memory, By Elizabeth Loftus False memory refers to a phenomenon that makes an individual believe that they remember events in their lives but in real sense, these events have never occurred. In most cases, these events are traumatic, and relate to sexual abuse. False memory syndrome was postulated in 1992 in an attempt to explain the theory of adult childhood memory. Adults who remember sexual abuse events when they were young may be creating an occurrence that never happened or information that is not correct. Synopsis Nadean Cool attended therapeutic sessions with the hope of modifying her reaction to the shocking events of her daughter. The therapist misguided her. Loftus argues that people can be shaped to remember their past in different ways. She used a study about getting lost in a Mall to show that individuals can be prompted to recollect the whole events that occurred to them (Loftus 74). Imagination can also create a false memory of an occurrence that never happened. Loftus and her colleagues requested the participant to record on a scale the possibility of the forty events named occurred in their childhood. After two weeks, they were allowed to imagine some of the occurrences they had said never happened in their childhood. They were asked to rate the events again. Individuals, who participated in the imagining test, became convinced that the incident happened (Loftus 75). In summary, the discussion about the false memory syndrome is far from being complete. False memory syndrome makes it difficult to judge the viability of an event and is very hard to banish from ones memory. A small false creation embeds in the mind for a very long time. Once an individual creates a false memory, it becomes part and parcel of his or her life. Therapeutic sessions should be taken with care so as to reduce false memory implanted to reduce

They considered themselves as Pro Nicene and anti Nestorian, but they worried that the council was being heretic . Ultimately, the Chalcedonian definition stated that after the incarnation, Christ was in two natures without mixture, change, division or separation . Furthermore, part of the disagreement between the Eastern and Western Church was because the definition stated that Christ is acknowledged in two natures, which come together into one person and one hypostasis. The critics (some Eastern churches) understood this to side with western Christology, they felt that it diverged from the teachings of Cyril of Alexandria who said that Christ has one nature. The church of Alexandria felt that the definition should have stated that Christ is to be acknowledged as out of two natures and not in two natures . If that was the case, then the incarnation did not take place. This would make the doctrine of atonement null and void because it would suggest that Christians were saved by a human being leading to whether human suffering can atone for sins. In the case of Eutychianism, if Christ s humanity was swallowed up in his divinity, then the incarnation (God becoming man) did not really take place, but it seems to be more a case of man extinguished and lost in God, thereby also making the incarnation null and

After conquering a city there are a limited amount of way to keep a principality that is acusstime to living under its own laws. You can decide to destroy it, reside in it, or allow for a form of self government that is friendly to the prince and take tribute from it. According to Machiavelli in chapter 5, while all these ways may sound appealing to the ears, when using the eyes you quickly see that the only sure way is to destroy it. He proceeds to say how when the Romans conquered Capua, Carthage, and Numantia they had to dismantle them of all former culture, laws, and important figures in society in order to gain full control of the three city states. While some may cringe at the word destruction, others like Machiavelli found it hopeful. With the destruction and dismantle of a city state the newly found Lord is allowing for a new book to be written. He can revoke all restrictions that had previously existed and use his. Machiavelli finds this important because if one were not to do this the citizens could form together and rebel in the name of freedom, which once tasted is not easily forgotten. They would continue to use their own laws, culture and religion clashing with their new lords, which would then lead to an uprising to bring about a new Lord that had originated from their own

Analysis Of Waiting For Godot Throughout Samuel Beckett s Waiting For Godot, a deceptively simplistic tale of two men waiting for the arrival of a seemingly divide entity uncovers the truth of mankind s existence. Estragon and Vladimir, the two protagonists, are stuck in a vicious cycle of hopeful waiting, only to find that Godot, the mysteriously omnipresent and omniscient being in the play, never arrives. While they patiently anticipate his arrival, they encounter a type of bondage that illustrates the very significance of insignificance as illustrated through Pozzoand his human slave, Lucky. All four characters are destined to acknowledge the nonexistence of life itself, each being on his own path to a sacred state of endless acceptance that is ultimately reflective of mankind in its entirety. The ritualistic waiting illustrated by Vladimir and Estragonis a portrayal of how mankind s attempts to accept meaninglessness are futile due to a nebulous force that constantly drives the characters. Unlike Pozzo and Lucky, Vladimir and Estragon essentially cannot leave the stage of life because they continually embrace the notion of hope associated with the eventual arrival of the God like Godot: VLADIMIR: Well? What do we do? ESTRAGON: Don t let s do anything. It s safer. VLADIMIR: Let s wait and see what he says. ESTRAGON: Who? VLADIMIR: Godot. ESTRAGON: Good idea. Here, Preston uses an analogy and repetition to reinforce the habits of a virus to the reader. This proves effective as Preston uses this analogy throughout the section to drive the point home. • 39. Exact Optimization And Optimization Algorithm Exact optimisation method is the optimisation method that can guarantee to find all optimal solutions. In principle, the optimality of generated solution can be proofed mathematically. Therefore, exact optimisation is also termed as mathematical optimisation. However, exact optimisation approach is impractical usually. The effort of solving an optimisation problem by exact optimisation grows polynomially with the problem size. For example, to solve a problem by brute force approach, the execution time increases exponentially respect to the dimensions of the problem. The idea of applying exact optimisation approach on requirements selection and optimisation is similar with search based requirements optimisation. The only difference is that, instead of using search based optimisation algorithm, the search based requirements selection and optimisation problem is tracked with exact optimisation algorithm. There are three main categories exact optimisations found in the literature. They are Integer linear programming [25], dynamic programming [26], and exhaustive search [27]. Uncertainty is ubiquitous and accompanies all events in the real world. It covers all fields of scientific studies, and is inevitable in many aspects of decision making [28]. The essence of uncertainty is the lack of complete knowledge at the time a decision must be made [7]. Uncertainty arises from different sources in various forms, and complicates and affects decision making [28]. Even worse, it may

Although Ray Bradbury wrote the story The Veldt over 50 years ago, he discusses this timeless issue of people caring more for materialistic objects than each other. In Bradbury s short story The Veldt , the children in the family, Wendy and Peter, have relied on the technological objects they have too much, and will do anything to keep them despite being told no by their parents, George and Lydia. Through the use of imagery, motifs and foreshadowing Ray Bradbury proves that over indulgence in materialistic views can have grave consequences. Ray Bradbury uses foreshadowing to prove that over indulgence in materialistic views can have grave consequences. For example on page 3, Bradbury hints that the children will do something bad because he writes, When I punished him a month ago by locking the nursery... the tantrum he threw (Bradbury 3). The reader continues to grow worried about Peter and Wendy s behavior when there are screams coming from the nursery. Therefore, Bradbury establishes that the children are overly connected to their tech not their own parents. That is why it is not surprising to the reader when the kids lock their parents in the nursery to get them killed. This is shows foreshadowing works in proving that over indulgence in materialistic views can have grave consequences by showing that in this perfect utopia, this is the first that the reader has heard anything about a kerfuffle between the children and the parents. Another reason why, is the parents are talking about turning the whole house off for a month which is a lot longer than a few hours. In conclusion Bradbury uses the dark hints of the parent s demise to prove that over indulgence in materialistic views can have grave consequences, by showing that when people become too reliable on the things that they can hold, and as soon as they are taken away, we have no idea what to do without them. Ray Bradbury uses motifs to prove that over indulgence in materialistic views can have grave consequences. For example on page 5 George, the father, is walking down the hall and hears a scream coming from the nursery. The sound

In this lesson there were some intended content and activities, the actual teaching experience was more different than I thought it would be, and the students work has led to a revision of the original lesson plan. The intended lesson for the Reflection I Am evolved around inheritance. The objectives were students will be able to distinguish between a gene and chromosome, illustrate a Punnett square, and connect chromosomes, genes, alleles to inheriting a trait. To achieve this I created a 5e Lesson Plan alongside with my partner and teacher, with a pretest before engagement. For the engagement the students looked at a family tree and pointed out distinctive traits that the mom, dad, and their son had. I then asked the students what are distinctive traits that the son had that the father did, and what distinctive traits the son had that the mother had; a connection that the son had traits from both parents were made successfully by the students.
