Sample Essay Global Warming
Crafting an essay on the subject of global warming can be a challenging endeavor, given the
complexity and urgency of the issue. Tackling such a topic requires a comprehensive
understanding of the scientific, environmental, and societal aspects surrounding climate change.
The difficulty lies not only in presenting factual information but also in weaving a narrative that
effectively communicates the gravity of the situation.
To start, one must delve into extensive research to gather up-to-date and reliable data on global
warming. This involves sifting through scientific journals, reports from environmental agencies,
and other credible sources. Understanding the various causes and consequences of global
warming, such as rising temperatures, melting ice caps, and changes in weather patterns, is
essential to construct a well-informed essay.
Next comes the challenge of organizing the information in a coherent manner. Balancing
scientific evidence with the human impact of global warming requires a delicate touch to keep
the essay both informative and emotionally resonant. Finding the right structure and flow to
guide the reader through the complexities of the subject is a considerable task.
Furthermore, addressing potential counterarguments and presenting a balanced perspective adds
another layer of difficulty. Global warming is a topic with diverse opinions, and acknowledging
differing views while substantiating the chosen stance demands careful consideration and
diplomacy.
Writing an essay on global warming also entails navigating the intricacies of language. The
ability to convey scientific concepts in a clear and accessible manner is crucial for engaging a
broad audience. Striking a balance between academic rigor and readability is no small feat.
In conclusion, composing an essay on global warming is a challenging undertaking that requires a
deep understanding of the subject, adept research skills, organizational finesse, and effective
communication. Successfully navigating these challenges can result in a compelling piece that
raises awareness and prompts action.

Susan Foster Protest Summary
Susan Foster s Choreographies of Protest The term movement is a corporeal
application to protest and social movements.
When individuals choose to participate in these kinds of political demonstration, they
commit themselves to physical action, whatever form it takes.
As they fathom injustice, organize to protest, craft a tactics, and engage in action,
these bodies read what is happening and articulate their imaginative rebuttal. In so
doing they demonstrate to themselves and all those watching that something can be
done. Could this be why they are called political movements ?

Political movements are organized in order to achieve a common goal. Masses of

Panopticon
The principle of the panopticon is simple: a central tower allows jailers to monitor,
without being seen, all the actions of the prisoners locked in cells in a ring
encircling the tower building. At the periphery there is a ring building; in the
center there is a turn; it is breakthrough large windows that open onto the inner face
of the ring; the peripheral building is divided into cells, each of which crosses the
entire the thickness of the building; they have two windows, one inwardly
corresponding to the tower windows; the other overlooking the outside, allows light
to pass through the cell from one side. By the effect against the light, one can enter
the tower, standing out exactly light, small captive silhouettes in the cells of the
peripheral series. There is so many cages, so many small theaters, in which each
detainee is alone, perfectly individualized and constantly visible. The advantage of a
panoptic device landscape spatial units is that we can be seen all the time and
recognized immediately. To summarize, we reverse the principle of the dungeon

Measuring Service Quality Using SERVQUAL
IntroductionMeasuring the quality of a service can be a very difficult exercise.
Unlike product where there are specific specifications such as length, depth, width,
weight, colour etc. a service can have numerous intangible or qualitative
specifications. In addition there is there expectation of the customer with regards the
service, which can vary considerably based on a range of factors such as prior
experience, personal needs and what other people may have told them.

The Malaysian Constitution
In a democractic parliament, rules were set and governed regardless of any
country in the world. Malaysia itself is also governed by a a set of rules. The rules
assigned to a country is called the constituition. Also called the bill of rights, the
constituition of rights is a body of basic principles a state is to be governed with.
The Malayan Union first drafted the constitution in 1946 but it was opposed by the
indigenous Malay community so it was cancelled. The current Malaysian
Constitution was drafted instead on the basis of a report from the Reid Commission
before the independence of the nation. The Reid Commission was formed because of
the urge of the then Malaya to claim independence and was lead by Lord Reid with

The Grass Is Always Greener In Carl Sandburg s Grass
The Grass Is Always Greener (Over the Cemetery): the Use of Proper Nouns, the
Imperative Tense, and Tension Between the First and Third Person in Carl
Sandburg s Grass When a battle is over, the field on which it was fought must look
like a wound on the face of the earth: the blood soaked ground strewn with bodies,
lying in mud churned by thousands of marching feet. Eventually, grass grows over
the battlefield, hiding the evidence of the horrors that took place there under a
blanket of green. In years to come, the area appears so unremarkable that passersby
have no indication of what took place there. However, without remembrance, what is
to stop history from continually repeating itself? Carl Sandburg, in his poem Grass,
uses the imperative tense, proper nouns, and tension between the first person and the
third person points of view to show that humanity repeats its mistakes because
nature always conceals them. Sandburg uses proper nouns throughout the poem to
emphasize the reality of wars fought and lives lost. By calling battles by their
proper names, in ominous, measured sentences, he is peeling back, so to speak, the
layer of grass concealing them. This technique makes it impossible to gloss over the
atrocities that were committed. When he says, Pile the bodies high at Austerlitz and
Waterloo (Line 1), And pile them high at Ypres and Verdun (5), he is naming
specific places, where individuals died at a certain time. Readers are unable to remove

you knew it had been a tough few weeks, and that we already discussed most of the
items you put on the feedback and that you had set a meeting for us to discuss the
feedback on Monday (5/22) and a plan of action going forward. Then on Monday you
stated you wanted to have this formal meetingwe are having today. Everything
caught me by surprise, the unacceptable rating of my monthly performance
feedback and the fact you thought we had to have this meeting today rather than
the one you had planned on Monday. Knowing that you know these have been a

Those meetings give me the opportunity to share my workload with you and to
request guidance on how to move forward when I feel stuck. And you have provided
guidance that has helped me focus on the tasks that are more important. During those
meetings, I ve told you when I feel I haven t met my personal client standards in
closing a case and have told you where I am at the moment on each case and given
you the reasons I hadn t been able to move forward when stuck. On the other hand,
during this past rating period, the tasks assigned to me seemed to be impossible to
manage as my focus was moved from wrapping up the Cold Bay case to whatever
Dan Byrd wanted at the time to the ASCHR investigation. And I admit that I did
not completely ignore the rest of my duties, like responding to emails, phone calls,
questions from the support staff, evaluation processing, etc. to focus 100% on the
highest priorities. But I also found myself trying to focus on the Cold Bay case, for
example, and you asking me to shift my focus to respond to Dan Byrd immediately,
you had also scheduled pre d meetings I had to have with Dan Byrd, without talking
to me prior the arrangement. And as I understood that was another way for you to
tell me it was top priority to you, I didn t decline doing the meeting, even when I
knew it was going to affect the other high priority items I had going on. I ve been

Analysis Of Erinna s The Distaff
Despite the drastically different time periods one thing has remained the same,
children s fear of monsters. In Erinna s The Distaff she mentions a monster called
the Mormo and how the boogeyman type creature was one of her greatest fears as a
young child. The monster is historically described as an imaginary monster...one
invoked to frighten children (OED mormo ). The Mormo is used in several different
ways to denote Errina s feelings about the issues she faces in presentday life. The
Mormo not only represents Erinna s literal childhood fears but also represents the
new abstract fears she faces as she transitions to a stage of adulthood. In Ancient
Greece women were mostly confined to the home, then after reaching adulthood they

By being denied this privilege by Baucis new family Erinna uses the Mormo to
represent the new fears she is experiencing in her life. One way Erinna relays her
feelings about losing Baucis is through the description of the Mormo. One feature
of the Mormo is that it is always changing her face (Erinna 17). This is symbolic of
how Baucis drastically changed as a person after marrying her husband. Erinna
wants to see her as the childhood friend she has always known. But she finds it
difficult to connect with Baucis as an adult as she has become so involved with
her new life with her husband Erinna comments that Aphrodite filled [Baucis]
thoughts with forgetting (21). Even before Baucis s death she and Erinna could
not see each other as they did when they were children. She is no longer
recognizable as Baucis loyalties have shifted with age. Their relationship would
have become strained because women were pressured into being completely
segregated from public life (French and Poska 45). This would have made it
difficult for Erinna to form a relationship with Baucis s new family. The Mormo s
description is also inhuman. Erinna s perception of the monster was that of on her
head were massive ears and she walked / on four legs (17 18). This description of the
Mormo is best interpreted as either a wolf or a horse or even that she is imagined as a
werewolf (Johnston 179). These
John Muir The Muckraker
The Muckraker John Muir John Muir was a muckraker who protested against the
expansion of people and animals that would ruin our soon to be national parks.
Muir was a man that loved to explore natural formations in nature and traveled
around the world to see as much natural land as possible. As he traveled around the
world, he found out that California was his place to live. In California, his favorite
places to explore and watch were the Sierra Nevada Mountains and Yosemite. As
more and more settlers moved West, the land that Muir loved was soon to be
destroyed by herds of animals and people looking for a place to build their homes.
Muir wrote most of his 300 articles and 10 major books in Oakland, California. In

Film Industry Analysis Paper
The movie making industry remains a vital part of popular culture and still has a
large amount of investors and buyers. Buyers, tend to be large cinemas or retail
chains to small independent cinemas or shops. The suppliers to the movie industry
are the ones that help deliver the crew and equipment, as well as the actors, directors
and writers.
Buyer power:
In the United States, like some other countries, companies can legally operate in both
the production and distribution areas. An example of this is Walt Disney Company,
they produce motion pictures (including Marvel, Pixar and Lucas film brands)
distributes DVDs to retailers and also sell through Disney stores, as well as being a
part owner of the online streaming service, Hulu (www.marketline.com). Buyers in
this market range in size, but the large buyers have higher negotiation power.
Producers of big budget films such as the loss making The Lone Ranger (2013),
which had a production budget of around $225m and a $150m marketing budget, are

Some of these companies are Apple, Netflix, Amazon and so many others like these.
Some of the companies that create films like Disney have simply created an online
service called Hulu, which I mentioned earlier. One of the most concerning threats
are illegal downloading, better known as piracy. This affects greatly the companies
in the movie industry because not only people can see the movies the company are
producing it but for free and not giving any income to the company. For this reason it
had become crime to which there are big consequences if you were to get caught
(International journal of arts management). Since these laws have been enforced it
has had little effect on the companies revenue, like the example of Paranormal
Activities. Therefore, threat of substitutes is evaluated as moderate
Allowing Marine Parks To Keep Marine Mammals
The main thesis presented in the essay is whether to allow marine parks to keep
marine mammals. The first main argument Bill Daly s presents is the fact that
individuals would rather see marine mammals in the wild life than captured inside
a tank. Bill Daly s states In fact, there are more places where they can be seen in
wild than places where they can be seen in captivity (Daly 2016, p.469). This
argument presents the fact that many of the places people visit have many areas to
see marine mammals in the wild, which is an option many tourist would prefer. The
second argument presented in the essay is that when it comes to research of marine
mammals, marine parks are only useful to study animals that are captured. Bill Daly

The Basketball Association And The Nba
The National Basketball Association, or the NBA, is a men s professional
basketball league in the USA. The National Basketball Association was born in
1949 after the Basketball Association of America and the National Basketball
League merged as one. Maurice Podoloff was elected head of the new league that
consisted of seventeen teams which came from cities and towns all across the
country. The NBA did not have a great start with its teams dwindling to only eight
teams in the 1950s. At this point, the league transformed the game with the
addition of the shot clock. The shot clock in the NBA is 24 seconds, meaning the
offensive team has 24 seconds from the time they inbound the ball until the ball
hits the rim on their side of the court. This addition increased the pace of the game
and made it more fun for fans to watch. Their transformation worked, and the
league returned to a financially stable one in the 1960/70s. Today, the NBA has
millions of fans from all walks of life, all over the world. The league now consists
of 30 teams from various states in North America as well as one team from Canada.
The teams are divided into two conferences and then three divisions of five teams
each. To play the sport of basketballthere are players; five on the court at a time,
coaches, a basketball, two hoops, high top shoes to protect player s ankles, and a
court with specific lines painted out to represent boundaries.
As a league, the NBA makes roughly 5.18 billion dollars

Furthermore, to measure the toll that incubation takes on a male, Masonjones built
a tiny respirator that records oxygen concentrations in water flowing into and out
of a chamber. Before a male took on eggs, she checked his baseline need for
oxygen. Then, she monitored the increase as the incubation progressed. The male s
body had to work hard by the end of incubation, consuming almost a third again as
much oxygen as he did before mating. To correct for oxygen used by the growing
brood, Masonjones managed to keep ¼ inch high premature seahorses alive
outside the pouch so she could measure their oxygen needs. Although they undergo
weeks of incubation, males directly contribute only half as much energy for
offspring as females do. [5]Therefore, they do in fact fit into the widespread pattern

The Battle Of Siege Of Yorktown
September 5th, 1781, a French Naval Fleet inhabited the lower Chesapeake Bay,
which was a major advantage to the continental army. The siege of Yorktown, was the
last major battle against the British army under General Cornwallis, resulting in the
inevitable surrender and American independence. There was a great deal of
coordination prior to the actual engagement consequently leading to this outcome.
The total number of soldiers consisted of 17,600 American and French soldiers, under
the command of General George Washington, Marquis de Lafayette, Comte de
Rochambeau, and Rear Admiral Francois Joseph Paul, the Comte de Grasse lead a
French Naval Fleet. 8,300 British forces were commanded by General Charles Earl
Cornwallis with 7,000 additional forces sent from General Sir Henry Clinton in New
York. Unfortunately for the British, the reinforcements arrived too late. According to
General Cornwallis, the British failed their mission as a result of lack of
reinforcements from Clinton. Middleton stated (2013), However, it is wrong to
blame Clinton alone for Yorktown (p.387). Various factors led to the defeat of both
British Generals. The lack of communications and insubordination of authority caused
their defeat. This was the truth for the battle of Yorktown. At the time of the
American Revolution, both American rebels and the British practiced a variety of
methods for keeping written communications secret. Both sides had a networks of
spies who passed on information right under

The Puritan s Writing Style Of The Colonial Period
The colonial period is abundant in its sources of people who influence and help to
be American literature. The colonial period is from 1600 to 1750 and it began with
the Puritans arriving at cape cod on the Mayflower and Speedwell. The Puritans came
to America because they wanted to separate from the Anglican church. The Puritans
believed that Godshould be the leader of the church, not the priest. There are also
other differences that cause the Puritans to leave such as writing style. The Puritans
writing style was called plain style and its writing is inspired by the Geneva Bible; the
Anglican read from the King James Bible and is far more complex and complicated
than the Geneva Bible which is more straightforward. Plain style contains biblical
allusions, double synonyms, and puritandouble vision. Works that are written in
plain style are: Of Plymouth Plantation by William Bradford, and Narrative of her
captivity by Mary Rowlandson. The writing style of the Anglicans is called high
style and it includes metaphors, satire, Greek and Roman allusions, and conceit. A
story that is written in high style is The history of the dividing line by William Byrd.
The Puritans and Anglican were also different in the ways they would live their lives.
The Puritans see anything that took their attention away from god as a temptation of
the devil. But the Anglicans like to enjoy the things of beauty in the world, things
like art, literature, and music. Also, the Puritans believed

Red River War of 1974 by exploring the end of territories belonging to Southern
Native Tribes. While designed for the review of Professor J. Chism and the
awareness of the Red River War Battle Sites Project to other students, the study will
work as a means to relate the United StatesArmy s campaign against the Indians to the
New South (Cruse, 52). Though intended to teach college level students or higher,
Battles of the Red River War portrays another account of southern racial sectarianism
and violence. The book describes the conflict between the United States Army and the

To help with emerging oneself into the text, the author uses photographs and
illustrations from living museums and authentic historical reenactments to show
how colonial people lived in the 1600 and 1700s. The author does not just make
mention of names of those who come over to settle into the New World but tells
how and why the New World was settled. The author is very detailed in describing
how things were for the settlers. The author even includes the hardships settlers and
their families faced when they arrived in the New World such as the death of many
settlers due to illness. There is so much information in the book and the author
provides the reader with questions to begin each new topic in the book. This will
help readers with critical thinking. The book has colored sidebars with even more
interesting information and historical facts about colonial times and activities to try

colonies, what type of clothing girls and boys wore, where they went to school, their

Immigration Has Increased Through Out The Years And...
Immigration has increased through out the years and President Trump has made
controversial statements regarding those who are undocumented in this country. Time
during his campaign, and up to his presidency, has become a heightened scrutiny for
undocumented immigrants; perhaps, mainly Hispanics. Hockenberry and
Puzzanchera (2016) define them as a person of Cuban, Mexican, Puerto Rican, South
or Central American, or other Spanish culture or origin regardless of race(p3). I
identify myself as a Hispanic because I was raised in Honduras, the heart of Central
America, and I understand the climax that immigrants from these countries attempt to
flee from. Thus, my interest in exploring more in depth the contact that Hispanic
youth have with... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The RRI compares the rates of juvenile justice contact experienced by different
groups of youth.
In the results of the analysis done by Hockenberry and Puzzanchera (2016), the RRI
portrayed significance difference amongst the three ethnic groups. This comparison
of the RRI is done through a simple formula: the number of an ethnic group is divided
by the number of another ethnic group, considering the same entry point in the
system. For example, the number court referrals done to Hispanic youth were
compared between those done to white youth and black youth. As a result,
researchers noticed that Hispanic youth were more likely than white, but less likely
than black youth, to be referred to juvenile court. Additionally, across offense
categories, Hispanic youth were more likely than white youth or black youth to be
adjudicated delinquent (p 10 11).
Thus, the focus of my paper is not how to reduce delinquency amongst Hispanic
youth, rather, it is how to reduce Disproportionate Minority Confinement (DMC).
Therefore, I used the work of researchers Spinney, Cohen, Feyerherm, Stephenson,
Yeide, and Hopps (2016) which focuses on nine jurisdictions whom managed to
reduce the disproportionate minority contact in their Juvenile Justice system. These
jurisdictions had to portray a consistent positive movement in their DMC data over
three consecutive years.
Adult Intensive Probation Provision (IPS)
1. IPS The term IPS, also known as intensive probation supervision, is defined by
the Criminal Justice Today textbook as a form of probation supervision involving
frequent face to face contact between the probationer and the probation officer
(Schmalleger 399). This type of probation has been described as the strictest form of
probation for adults in the United States, and is designed to achieve control in a
community setting over offenders who would otherwise go to prison. Some states
have extended intensive supervision to paroles, allowing the early release of some
who would otherwise serve longer prison terms. The book also mentions that this
type of probation can be effective by saying, a study published in 2000 shows that
IPS programs can be effective at reducing recidivism, especially if the programs are
well planned and fully implemented (Schmalleger 400). Essentially, it is known as a
unit with the purpose of protecting the community, reducing recidivism, helping
rehabilitate, and diverting juvenile and adult probationers from further involvement
in crime. These objectives are pursued by closely monitoring probationers and
establishing relationships with the families and schools for juveniles involved and
other supporting agencies, including, but not limited to, police departments, mental
health agencies, social services and community treatment programs. According to the
judicial branch of Arizona, Maricopa County website, the Adult Intensive Probation
Marxism And Its Effects On The World s Republic Of China
During the nineteenth century, in the midst of increased industrialization, worker
exploitation, and growing gaps in wealth, Karl Marx formulated a political theory
which would go on to remodel global politics in an unprecedented manner. Marxism,
as it would later be known, or more generally, Communism, was destined to guide
countless nations paths to liberation. Two countries in particular, the USSR and the
People s Republic of China, can trace their rapid escapes from backwardness into
industrial powerhouses, and international superpower and rising superpower,
respectively, to their adoption, as well as their exclusive interpretations, of Marxism.
However, such flexible and broad adaptations of Marxism to these nations ... Show

The aforementioned information is detailed within The Marxian Revolution
Chapters 1 and 3. So where did Lenin and Mao diverge from and align with the
ideas of Marx? From the start, Lenin was working with a Russia that did not yet
meet the criteria of a conscious proletariat, indicating readiness for revolution. As
such, he amended Marxism to better suit the circumstances of the Russian
population. The first manner in which Lenin contrasts with Marx is through his
utilization of a peasant uprising, rather than a worker uprising. At that point in
Russia s history, Russia was still in a feudal phase, where industry has not yet taken
off, and the vast majority of the population was peasants, whom were controlled by
landlords as well as the Tsarist Government. Lenin justified the propriety of
revolution by asserting that Russia was in a state of capitalism. Lenin further
diverged from Marx in the fact that Marx believed that the revolution should be lead
by the self aware proletariat, rather than merely consisting of proletarian participants.
However, lacking both a proletariat majority, as well as a conscious class, Lenin
determined that the revolution must be lead by an elite base. As mentioned in
Comrades!, Marx greatly feared a preemptive revolution, and it is plausible that such
a faulty foundation of Communism in Russia is what eventually lead to the USSR s
downfall. Nonetheless, Lenin proceeded with his Bolshevik Revolution and

To Build A Fire Literary Analysis
To Build a Fire by Jack London, is about a man who is unnamed, who travels from
the Yukon trail on a deathly cold morning with a wolf dog to meet up with his
friends at a camp at Henderson Creek. The man is advised by a wise old man to not
travel alone in such weather when it is extremely cold. But the man doesn t pay
attention to the little things and disregards the warnings and continues his journey.
The central idea suggests a broad theme of man versus nature. Jackson shows this idea
through intellectual (traveler) versus instinctive (wolf dog). The travelers lack of
recognition for instinctive decisions leads him on the path of self destruction and
death.

The old man at Sulphur Creek provides a supporting role in the story. He is
repeatedly brought up throughout the story when the traveler recalls the advice he
was given. The man was extremely serious when he said that no man should travel
alone (Jackson ). His advice and warning are what creates tension to the story. The
traveler brushes off the old man s advice and says the old man probably couldn t
do handle it because old men are womanish (Jackson ). As the traveler continues his
journey he realizes that being alone and traveling in such cold weather is
dangerous. When he makes the fire the first time he makes it under a pine tree.
The snow from the tree falls on the fire taking away the warmth he needed to reheat
his body. The second time he tries to make the fire he couldn t hold on to the
matches. The matches fell on the floor and he says how if he had a companion on
the trail he would be in no danger (Jackson ). He recalls how if he was traveling
with someone the companion could have built the fire. Now, he must build the fire
again, and this second time he must not fail (Jackson). Later, he says perhaps the old
man on Sulphur Creek was right. If he had a companion on the trail he would be in
no danger now (Jackson ). He also understands how the world is more instinctual
instead of intellectual. He doesn t realize until later that there might be a situation
which he cannot
The Low Country Healthy Start Program
The Low Country Healthy Start program was designed to eliminate disparities in
perinatal health, improve birth outcomes, and quality of life in African American
women and infants living in Allendale, Bamberg, Hampton, and Orangeburg
counties. This process evaluation sought to determine whether the services
provided by LCHS were effective in changing the birth outcomes associated with
chronic disease in African American women. Data collected from the initial risk
screening and assessment survey along with attendance data from services
provided by LCHS was utilized. Case summaries and frequencies were ran on all
data linked with chronic disease to determine the risk factors, recognize who was at
risk, and what services were provided. Findings suggest that Asthma was the most
common chronic disease amongst its participants with smoking tobacco, poor coping
skills, negative feelings, and inadequate housing being the risk factors associated
with asthma. The services provided by LCHS were found to be insufficient in
reaching participants with chronic disease. The program in general proves to be
useful and beneficial in addressing the major issues associated with low birthweight
infants, however the data collected for this particular study is all self reported which
leaves gaps and unanswered questions due to inconsistency in the data received.

A vast majority of our raw product will be purchased from local farmers and we

agreements would make sure we are receiving the best quality product in a timely

Advantages of having a distribution center in Mexico
One advantage to having a distribution center located in Mexico is that we wouldn t
have to export the food from America. This will cut down on cost because the
consumers will be in a much closer proximity to our product than if we were
headquarter in America. This will allow our consumers to receive their orders
quicker, and more efficiently. Since the products transportation time will be cut
down, this will result in fresher food for the customers. Another advantage is we will
be contributing to the growth of the Mexican economy by hiring local citizens. This
will also be beneficial to us because the Mexican minimum wage is less than that in
the United States.
Disadvantage of having a distribution center in Mexico
One disadvantage to having a distribution center located in Mexico is researching and

Do patients who undergo renal transplantation suffer from long term dental/health
complications as opposed to individuals who have not undergone transplantation?
My search strategy for the scientific literature started with PubMed. I input the
following phrase into the search bar: Dental complications from kidney transplants .
100 articles were gathered as potential scientific literatures that could be used for my
specific learning issue. In finding articles that provided general dental and health
complications, the task offered a manageable list of scientific articles to sift through.
For the next time, I would like to focus on specific dental/health complications from
kidney transplants and how it could affect patients in such ways instead of in a
general systemic manner.
The first selected article, The status of dental and jaw bones in children and
adolescents after kidney and liver transplantation , focuses on the main systemic
complications patients may encounter after renal transplantation within the oral
cavity. The research question the Department of Pediatric Dentistry at the Medical
University of Warsaw in Warsaw, Poland, posed was to evaluate the incidence of
various dental abnormalities within children who underwent kidney transplantation
with the added factor of taken immunosuppressant drugs. A benefit of the article in its
choice of including the potential cause of these abnormalities as a consequence of
taking various immunosuppressant drugs adds an extra
Taking a Look at Mobile Risk Management
It is a category of technology that is emerging to empower companies so to
recognize, mitigate and manage the risks that are associated with mobile devices.
Mobile Risk management is way beyond traditional management of mobile device
where they were primarily working on control tactics and on risk avoidance.
The MRM is done to allow their full potential of mobility to exercise while ensuring
regulatory compliance and protecting corporate data. In order to achieve accurate
balance among risk mitigation, compliance assurance and device management and
simultaneously maximizing utility of device and user acceptance that would require
an integrated and thoughtful approach towards MRM.
Need for MRM
There is being observed a mass proliferation of heterogeneous deployment of
Android, Windows, iOS and Blackberry and other platforms as well connected
mobile devices that have started to become a norm. This is also being embraced by
organizations that is bring your own device (BYOD) trend on the other side the
tablets and smartphone are increasingly becoming a center or say hub for personal
and business data. And with the upcoming and already established technologies such
as Bluetooth, NFC and others where machine to machine interaction is at its peak and
mobile devices have started to become wallets and security badges and more.
These new opportunities are very much significant and the trend that was explained
above, BYOD all these can lead to a real cost savers for the companies.

The Haie Compare And Contrast
To begin, when comparing and contrasting the Haida and the Inuit big and small
differences appear throughout their culture and identity. Two different tribes, two
completely different cultures. But then again, how do they connect heritage wise?
Well, when you think about the tribes they might not be so different after all.
When, talking about the challenges the Inuit and the Haida faced they are almost
completely different. Since both tribes live in a survival area, their struggle to live is
constant. One challenge that the Inuit that the Haida does not is the weather, which
consist of below 0г‚њtemperatures at almost every season. One challenge that the
Haida have to face that the Inuit does not have to is hunting. Sure hunting is still

Some universals of culture that come to mind when describing the Haida and the
Inuit is religion in traditions. When describing the Inuit, I know from back
knowledge that they care a lot about religion. So much to say that they say the

To conclude, the Haida and the Inuit might not be so different after all. Their

King Xerxes had amazing amounts of wealth and many wives and concubines, but the
wife that stood out, and perhaps the most infamous wife in his courts, was Queen
Vashti.
Queen Vashti was the daughter of King Nebuchadnezzar and was very self seeking
and stubborn. She was also very beautiful, which in some ways was her downfall,
for during the concluding week of the great feast, King Xerxes demanded Queen
Vashti come before him and have her beauty paraded before his guests. Queen
Vashti refused to come and be humiliated in this manner, for it was not proper for a
woman to appear before a room of men. This angered King Xerxes, and he turned
to his advisors for what appropriate actions should be taken against the queen for
disobedience. If it pleases his majesty, let him issue a royal decree and let it be
written as one of the laws of the Persians and Medes, which are irrevocable that
Vashti is never again to be admitted into the presence of King Achashverosh, and
that the king give her royal position to someone better than she (Stern 1089 1090).
King Xerxes had Queen Vashti removed from her position as queen, and she was
never summoned before him again, for the word of the king was final and could
not be rescinded. Upon the advice of his closest trustees and advisors, a beauty
pageant was held at the palace, and all of the most eligible virgins of all the
provinces were to come to Susa as prospects to replace Queen Vashti.

This method can be used for customers of the four or five star ships. This loyalty
program would provide occasional direct offers to customers who already have
experience with Cunard and therefore will not view the deals as a lowering of
standards. An example of a deal that can be provided is a selling package that is
good for a year or two. This package would outline a discounted price for a set
amount of people to travel on a certain cruise ship. That way, there is enough time
for a customer to realistically plan out a trip while providing an incentive for them
and encourage more action as opposed to a regular priced ad.
Lastly, an alternative that can be taken is to build relationships with various large
companies with employees who make an income in the target range and make offers
to company executives. This method would not downplay the company image
because Cunard would be communicating directly with high income executives and
furthermore will not be making any public sales or advertisements. This method
would create new potential customers who are directly in the target market of choice
using the method of relationship building. This may also result in additional
customer retention. This method can be used for both the four and five star ships. In
order to attract the target market of the five star ships, Cunard can make an
arrangement with a company to offer a deal with their luxury ships as part of a
retirement plan.
What Is The Characteristics Of Puritanism And Pragmatism
Benjamin Franklin s life account is often presented as a surrogate narrative of the
history of the America in the epoch in which he lived. His account of modest
beginnings truthfully, but self consciously re created by Franklin nearly fifty years
later when he began to write his Autobiography has been accepted as the tale of the
America s first Horatio Alger.
Rooted in the New England ethos, Benjamin Franklin was indelibly stamped in the
Puritan dye yet exempt from Puritan spirituality. In his thoughts and deed he showed
possibilities of a secularized and humanized world view (Conkin 73). A study of his
autobiography exposes how the Puritan anticipates the pragmatism of such American
thinkers like Charles S. Pierce, William James and John Deway. This paper endeavors

I wished to live without committing any Fault at anytime; I would conquer all that
wither natural Inclination, Custom, or Company might lead me into (66) says
Franklin while describing the grandiose objectives at the time. He derived from his
Puritan background, diligence, preoccupation with ethics and a sense of
responsibility to an ordered community. But he approached the tradition with
detachment and selectivity . We find his activities confined to the world of men and
he is not involved in any mystical participation in divine being. In the earlier
passages of his autobiography there is a reflection of Franklin s initial optimism in
his ability to achieve the desired results and it perhaps reflects his enthusiasm for
deistic principles that he describes in the earlier passage of the autobiography. His
subsequent account of his failure to reach his goal bespeaks an understanding of
human nature in relation to the Divine that owes much more to theology of Calvins

  • 7. The Grass Is Always Greener In Carl Sandburg s Grass The Grass Is Always Greener (Over the Cemetery): the Use of Proper Nouns, the Imperative Tense, and Tension Between the First and Third Person in Carl Sandburg s Grass When a battle is over, the field on which it was fought must look like a wound on the face of the earth: the blood soaked ground strewn with bodies, lying in mud churned by thousands of marching feet. Eventually, grass grows over the battlefield, hiding the evidence of the horrors that took place there under a blanket of green. In years to come, the area appears so unremarkable that passersby have no indication of what took place there. However, without remembrance, what is to stop history from continually repeating itself? Carl Sandburg, in his poem Grass, uses the imperative tense, proper nouns, and tension between the first person and the third person points of view to show that humanity repeats its mistakes because nature always conceals them. Sandburg uses proper nouns throughout the poem to emphasize the reality of wars fought and lives lost. By calling battles by their proper names, in ominous, measured sentences, he is peeling back, so to speak, the layer of grass concealing them. This technique makes it impossible to gloss over the atrocities that were committed. When he says, Pile the bodies high at Austerlitz and Waterloo (Line 1), And pile them high at Ypres and Verdun (5), he is naming specific places, where individuals died at a certain time. Then on Monday you stated you wanted to have this formal meetingwe are having today. Everything caught me by surprise, the unacceptable rating of my monthly performance feedback and the fact you thought we had to have this meeting today rather than the one you had planned on Monday. Knowing that you know these have been a tough few weeks and you are aware of my workload since we meet on a weekly basis and you have given me my priorities... During those meetings, I ve told you when I feel I haven t met my personal client standards in closing a case and have told you where I am at the moment on each case and given you the reasons I hadn t been able to move forward when stuck. On the other hand, during this past rating period, the tasks assigned to me seemed to be impossible to manage as my focus was moved from wrapping up the Cold Bay case to whatever Dan Byrd wanted at the time to the ASCHR investigation. And I admit that I did not completely ignore the rest of my duties, like responding to emails, phone calls, questions from the support staff, evaluation processing, etc. to focus 100% on the highest priorities. But I also found myself trying to focus on the Cold Bay case, for example, and you asking me to shift my focus to respond to Dan Byrd immediately, you had also scheduled pre d meetings I had to have with Dan Byrd, without talking to me prior the arrangement. And as I understood that was another way for you to tell me it was top priority to you, I didn t decline doing the meeting, even when I knew it was going to affect the other high priority items I had going on. I ve been trying to work on your high priorities

  • 10. Analysis Of Erinna s The Distaff Despite the drastically different time periods one thing has remained the same, children s fear of monsters. In Erinna s The Distaff she mentions a monster called the Mormo and how the boogeyman type creature was one of her greatest fears as a young child. The monster is historically described as an imaginary monster...one invoked to frighten children (OED mormo ). The Mormo is used in several different ways to denote Errina s feelings about the issues she faces in presentday life. The Mormo not only represents Erinna s literal childhood fears but also represents the new abstract fears she faces as she transitions to a stage of adulthood. By being denied this privilege by Baucis new family Erinna uses the Mormo to represent the new fears she is experiencing in her life. One way Erinna relays her feelings about losing Baucis is through the description of the Mormo. One feature of the Mormo is that it is always changing her face (Erinna 17). This is symbolic of how Baucis drastically changed as a person after marrying her husband. Erinna wants to see her as the childhood friend she has always known. But she finds it difficult to connect with Baucis as an adult as she has become so involved with her new life with her husband Erinna comments that Aphrodite filled [Baucis] thoughts with forgetting (21). Even before Baucis s death she and Erinna could not see each other as they did when they were children. She is no longer recognizable as Baucis loyalties have shifted with age. Their relationship would have become strained because women were pressured into being completely segregated from public life (French and Poska 45). This would have made it difficult for Erinna to form a relationship with Baucis s new family. The Mormo s description is also inhuman. Erinna s perception of the monster was that of on her head were massive ears and she walked / on four legs (17 18). This description of the Mormo is best interpreted as either a wolf or a horse or even that she is imagined as a werewolf (Johnston 179). These

Muir was a man that loved to explore natural formations in nature and traveled around the world to see as much natural land as possible. • 12. Film Industry Analysis Paper The movie making industry remains a vital part of popular culture and still has a large amount of investors and buyers. Buyers, tend to be large cinemas or retail chains to small independent cinemas or shops. The suppliers to the movie industry are the ones that help deliver the crew and equipment, as well as the actors, directors and writers. Buyer power: In the United States, like some other countries, companies can legally operate in both the production and distribution areas. An example of this is Walt Disney Company, they produce motion pictures (including Marvel, Pixar and Lucas film brands) distributes DVDs to retailers and also sell through Disney stores, as well as being a part owner of the online streaming service, Hulu (www.marketline.com). Buyers in this market range in size, but the large buyers have higher negotiation power. One of the most concerning threats are illegal downloading, better known as piracy. This affects greatly the companies in the movie industry because not only people can see the movies the company are producing it but for free and not giving any income to the company. The first main argument Bill Daly s presents is the fact that individuals would rather see marine mammals in the wild life than captured inside a tank. Bill Daly s states In fact, there are more places where they can be seen in wild than places where they can be seen in captivity (Daly 2016, p.469). This argument presents the fact that many of the places people visit have many areas to see marine mammals in the wild, which is an option many tourist would prefer. The second argument presented in the essay is that when it comes to research of marine mammals, marine parks are only useful to study animals that are captured. Bill Daly states Dolphin
  • 14. The Basketball Association And The Nba The National Basketball Association, or the NBA, is a men s professional basketball league in the USA. The National Basketball Association was born in 1949 after the Basketball Association of America and the National Basketball League merged as one. Maurice Podoloff was elected head of the new league that consisted of seventeen teams which came from cities and towns all across the country. The NBA did not have a great start with its teams dwindling to only eight teams in the 1950s. At this point, the league transformed the game with the addition of the shot clock. The shot clock in the NBA is 24 seconds, meaning the offensive team has 24 seconds from the time they inbound the ball until the ball hits the rim on their side of the court. This addition increased the pace of the game and made it more fun for fans to watch. Their transformation worked, and the league returned to a financially stable one in the 1960/70s. Today, the NBA has millions of fans from all walks of life, all over the world. The league now consists of 30 teams from various states in North America as well as one team from Canada. The teams are divided into two conferences and then three divisions of five teams each. To play the sport of basketballthere are players; five on the court at a time, coaches, a basketball, two hoops, high top shoes to protect player s ankles, and a court with specific lines painted out to represent boundaries. Furthermore, to measure the toll that incubation takes on a male, Masonjones built a tiny respirator that records oxygen concentrations in water flowing into and out of a chamber. Before a male took on eggs, she checked his baseline need for oxygen. Then, she monitored the increase as the incubation progressed. The male s body had to work hard by the end of incubation, consuming almost a third again as much oxygen as he did before mating. To correct for oxygen used by the growing brood, Masonjones managed to keep ¼ inch high premature seahorses alive outside the pouch so she could measure their oxygen needs. The RRI compares the rates of juvenile justice contact experienced by different groups of youth. In the results of the analysis done by Hockenberry and Puzzanchera (2016), the RRI portrayed significance difference amongst the three ethnic groups. This comparison of the RRI is done through a simple formula: the number of an ethnic group is divided by the number of another ethnic group, considering the same entry point in the system. For example, the number court referrals done to Hispanic youth were compared between those done to white youth and black youth. As a result, researchers noticed that Hispanic youth were more likely than white, but less likely than black youth, to be referred to juvenile court. Additionally, across offense categories, Hispanic youth were more likely than white youth or black youth to be adjudicated delinquent (p 10 11). Thus, the focus of my paper is not how to reduce delinquency amongst Hispanic youth, rather, it is how to reduce Disproportionate Minority Confinement (DMC). Therefore, I used the work of researchers Spinney, Cohen, Feyerherm, Stephenson, Yeide, and Hopps (2016) which focuses on nine jurisdictions whom managed to reduce the disproportionate minority contact in their Juvenile Justice system. These jurisdictions had to portray a consistent positive movement in their DMC data over three consecutive years.

IPS The term IPS, also known as intensive probation supervision, is defined by the Criminal Justice Today textbook as a form of probation supervision involving frequent face to face contact between the probationer and the probation officer (Schmalleger 399). This type of probation has been described as the strictest form of probation for adults in the United States, and is designed to achieve control in a community setting over offenders who would otherwise go to prison. Some states have extended intensive supervision to paroles, allowing the early release of some who would otherwise serve longer prison terms. The book also mentions that this type of probation can be effective by saying, a study published in 2000 shows that IPS programs can be effective at reducing recidivism, especially if the programs are well planned and fully implemented (Schmalleger 400). Essentially, it is known as a unit with the purpose of protecting the community, reducing recidivism, helping rehabilitate, and diverting juvenile and adult probationers from further involvement in crime. These objectives are pursued by closely monitoring probationers and establishing relationships with the families and schools for juveniles involved and other supporting agencies, including, but not limited to, police departments, mental health agencies, social services and community treatment programs. The aforementioned information is detailed within The Marxian Revolution Chapters 1 and 3. So where did Lenin and Mao diverge from and align with the ideas of Marx? From the start, Lenin was working with a Russia that did not yet meet the criteria of a conscious proletariat, indicating readiness for revolution. As such, he amended Marxism to better suit the circumstances of the Russian population. The first manner in which Lenin contrasts with Marx is through his utilization of a peasant uprising, rather than a worker uprising. At that point in Russia s history, Russia was still in a feudal phase, where industry has not yet taken off, and the vast majority of the population was peasants, whom were controlled by landlords as well as the Tsarist Government. Lenin justified the propriety of revolution by asserting that Russia was in a state of capitalism. Lenin further diverged from Marx in the fact that Marx believed that the revolution should be lead by the self aware proletariat, rather than merely consisting of proletarian participants. However, lacking both a proletariat majority, as well as a conscious class, Lenin determined that the revolution must be lead by an elite base. As mentioned in Comrades!, Marx greatly feared a preemptive revolution, and it is plausible that such a faulty foundation of Communism in Russia is what eventually lead to the USSR s downfall. Nonetheless, Lenin proceeded with his Bolshevik Revolution and disbanded with

King Xerxes had amazing amounts of wealth and many wives and concubines, but the wife that stood out, and perhaps the most infamous wife in his courts, was Queen Vashti. Queen Vashti was the daughter of King Nebuchadnezzar and was very self seeking and stubborn. She was also very beautiful, which in some ways was her downfall, for during the concluding week of the great feast, King Xerxes demanded Queen Vashti come before him and have her beauty paraded before his guests. Queen Vashti refused to come and be humiliated in this manner, for it was not proper for a woman to appear before a room of men. This angered King Xerxes, and he turned to his advisors for what appropriate actions should be taken against the queen for disobedience. If it pleases his majesty, let him issue a royal decree and let it be written as one of the laws of the Persians and Medes, which are irrevocable that Vashti is never again to be admitted into the presence of King Achashverosh, and that the king give her royal position to someone better than she (Stern 1089 1090). This method can be used for customers of the four or five star ships. This loyalty program would provide occasional direct offers to customers who already have experience with Cunard and therefore will not view the deals as a lowering of standards. An example of a deal that can be provided is a selling package that is good for a year or two. This package would outline a discounted price for a set amount of people to travel on a certain cruise ship. That way, there is enough time for a customer to realistically plan out a trip while providing an incentive for them and encourage more action as opposed to a regular priced ad. Lastly, an alternative that can be taken is to build relationships with various large companies with employees who make an income in the target range and make offers to company executives. This method would not downplay the company image because Cunard would be communicating directly with high income executives and furthermore will not be making any public sales or advertisements. This method would create new potential customers who are directly in the target market of choice using the method of relationship building. This may also result in additional customer retention. This method can be used for both the four and five star ships. In order to attract the target market of the five star ships, Cunard can make an arrangement with a company to offer a deal with their luxury ships as part of a retirement plan.

What Is The Characteristics Of Puritanism And Pragmatism Benjamin Franklin s life account is often presented as a surrogate narrative of the history of the America in the epoch in which he lived. His account of modest beginnings truthfully, but self consciously re created by Franklin nearly fifty years later when he began to write his Autobiography has been accepted as the tale of the America s first Horatio Alger. Rooted in the New England ethos, Benjamin Franklin was indelibly stamped in the Puritan dye yet exempt from Puritan spirituality. In his thoughts and deed he showed possibilities of a secularized and humanized world view (Conkin 73). I wished to live without committing any Fault at anytime; I would conquer all that wither natural Inclination, Custom, or Company might lead me into (66) says Franklin while describing the grandiose objectives at the time. He derived from his Puritan background, diligence, preoccupation with ethics and a sense of responsibility to an ordered community. But he approached the tradition with detachment and selectivity . We find his activities confined to the world of men and he is not involved in any mystical participation in divine being. In the earlier passages of his autobiography there is a reflection of Franklin s initial optimism in his ability to achieve the desired results and it perhaps reflects his enthusiasm for deistic principles that he describes in the earlier passage of the autobiography. His subsequent account of his failure to reach his goal bespeaks an understanding of human nature in relation to the Divine that owes much more to theology of Calvins and
