3. Language Is Used For Social And Cultural Communication
Oral Language: Language is used for social and cultural communication. Students enter school with a
language base (standard or non standard English) that teachers must build on. Oral language
communication is deeply rooted in learning to read and write. Oral language development lays the
foundation for students development of phonological awareness skills. Teachers can build literacy
experiences around students language skills.
Teaching Tips
Rich teacher talk: during reading and writing teachers used a variety of uncommon words to build
students listening vocabulary. Teachers extend children s comments to be more descriptive and
grammatically correct. Teachers should listen and respond to all comments students make during
literacy interactions.
Story book reading: Read stories, poems and information books during whole and small group.
Teachers support students learning through discussion before, during and after reading. Teachers use
repeated reading of favorite books to build on students retelling and memory.
Alphabet Knowledge: Students understanding that written spelling represents spoken word is crucial
to beginning reading attainment. Learning the letters of the alphabet requires many meaningful
experiences with written language. Teachers should begin teaching alphabet letters using

7. Global Pollution
al Explain four different forms of global pollution that may arise from a construction project and
explain four key methods used to protect the natural environment against such pollutants
Environmental Pollution Construction Sites
Construction sites are found both within urban and rural areas, often in the close proximity of homes.
Due to their proximity to homes and the materials used, construction sites may generate home
pollution. This involves air, water, soil, and/or noise pollution. Additionally, construction work may
reveal existing subsurface pollution. In such situation, construction work is stopped and costly
remediation is needed. Thus, construction work may generate construction pollution problems
affecting both home owners ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Road construction pollution represents the generation of construction contamination at sites where
roads are built
Construction Pollution Prevention and Cost Recovery * Personal damage. From the perspective of the
public, the best prevention is to spend as little time as possible outside (e.g., in your yard or balcony)
close to a construction site during operation time. Additionally, having a rich vegetation around your
home (and between the home and the construction site) will act as a natural filter for the generated
pollution, reducing the amount of pollution you may come in contact with. So, planting in your yards
or even pot plants in a balcony can help. The greener the better. Also, regular spraying of water around
the home will reduce the amount of dust and exposure through inhalation, although the soil and water
pollution may increase (but these are less directly affecting you than air!). However, if you believe
you are already negatively impacted by a construction site in the vicinity, especially if you have been
recently diagnosed with a medical condition involving the respiratory system, you may be entitled to
compensation. Evaluate your pollution case for free. * Property damage. From the perspective of the
construction site owner / developer, you may be faced with building on polluted land

crime was the issue of the nineties, while terrorism has become the talk at the onset of 21st century.

opportunity for crime is reduced by design. 2. Facing windows: The houses should face each other
across the street or similar shared access area , to create a system of mutual surveillance. (Fig 1.1) 3.
High fences at the sides and rear, boundaries of individual housing plots. 4. Front access to a secure

supervised from inside. 5. Access for servicing and delivering. It is desirable to provide such a space
by the front door, but out of sight from the public footpath 6. Space at the front acting as transition
zones. (Fig 1.2)
7. All car parking should be on the hard standings within he curtilage of the house, preferably at the
front to facilitate surveillance. (Fig 1.3) 8. A garages at the side of the road close to the front entrance.

9. Limit road access to an area as it reduces traffic. (Fig 1.5)
10. Avoid through pedestrian routes. Where pedestrian routes are separate from the roadways, they
should not be planned to create a series of through routes. (Fig 1.6)
11. Houses should be oriented to face access routes and especially to focus on the entry points to
provide intensive surveillance. (Fig 1.7)

12. Cause And Effect Essay On Drunk Driving
Within the U.S and around the world, drunk driving is a major problem that is slowly destroying the
world around us by making it unstable to the rest of people who do partake in this action by choice or
at all. Drunk driving has done a large amount of damage to almost everything we know from
destroying whole families to making it unsafe for almost anyone to be on the road or close to it
because of these reckless drivers that in some way got behind the wheel of a motor vehicle while in a
drunken state making them a force that is a real danger to anyone. Drunk driving is a serious crime
nowadays and has a hefty punishment to go with it depending on the amount of damage done while
behind the wheel. Taking the action of being behind the wheel while intoxicated is a problem that not
only endangers the driver but everyone around them causing problems for everyone and everything.
There are different types of drunk driving but most have the same outcome in the end being that
something bad ends up happening in the end. In the world today drunk driving is a true problem all
over, this issue is spread across the world causing it to be a major danger to anybody that is in the
pathway of the driver or behind the wheel of a motor vehicle. With drunk driving being such a major
problem all over the world, stats show what places in the world will most likely have drunk drivers on
the road. Currently the country that has the most common occurrence with drunk driving is south
africa. Other countries that are listed after south africa for most common drunk drivers to occur is
canada in second, the U.S in 3rd, australia in 4th, and Italy in 5th, the list goes on. Being the 3rd
country in the world to have the most common drunk driver problems gives the U.S a bad reputation.
Having this be fact shows how bad of a problem that drunk driving really is for not only the U.S but
all over the world, which all cause major problems in some way to the people or the rest of the U.S.
The problem with drunk driving seems to be that people don t think that there is little punishment to
doing it and being caught in the act.
The cause of drunk driving it the amount of drinking that is able to be done nowadays with little risk
the be had for doing

15. Social Reaction Theory And Feminist Theory Of Crimes
Social Reaction Theory and Feminist Theory of Crimes are the subject theories I am going to review,
examine, and explain. I will be discussing the evolution of social reaction and labeling theory, which
is mainly concerned with how individuals personal identities are highly influenced by the way that
society has a tendency to classify them as offenders. I will also be reviewing the various forms of
feminist theories, which began as reactions to the lack of reasonable theorizing about why females
commit crime and why the tend to be treated far more contradictorily by the criminal justice system.
Here, I will explain these various theories with more attention on how they thoroughly transformed
the way that the crime and law were viewed. Both theories had become popular in the 1960 s and the
1970 s due to the society looking for theories that fixed the blame for criminal offending on
government authorities. These theories also both share a common theme, by accentuating the use of
the criminal justice system to target or label certain types of groups such as lower class, minorities,
and women, as criminals while protecting the ones with power such as white males.
Theoretical Background: Social reaction theory is also referred to as labeling theory, which is mainly
classified by how personal identities are influenced by the way authority categorizes the offenders.
The labeling results in individuals authenticating their place as criminals by developing the

A career trajectory is a formalized plan for a successful transition into a career path that an individual

17. Theme Of An Outsider
The Outsiders by S.E Hinton and The Clay Marble by Minfong Ho both center around the motif of
being an outsider. The theme of both books is that you are never an outsider when you have friends
and family. This is shown through the two main characters, Dara and Ponyboy. While they share
similarities, the two are also vastly different. Dara starts her story as a very innocent and hopeful girl.
When she arrives at the refugee camp, she says I had the strange feeling that somehow I had finally
come back home on page 22. This is showing how even after she lost her home, she still had enough
hope to believe she could find a new one. She s also still a young girl. She plays with homemade toys

He also starts off as The Innocent, hopeful for a better future and seeing the good in everyone. On
page 26 he says, I didn t get why we talk about girls in that way, which is showing how even though
he s tough he is still young and innocent and doesn t get why his gang talks dirty about women Also
like Dara, Ponyboy s archetype changes to The Loner or Outcast and he loses his hope. After Johnny
kills a Soc to protect him, they go on the run from the police. They hide out in an abandoned church
away from their families and society. On page 63 it says he must have been as homesick as I was
showing how Ponyboy wants to go back to his family. Again, this also shows the theme of The
Outsiders. Even though he s a greaser and on the bad side of society s view, Ponyboy is really only an
outsider when he is without his family and gang. Following Dara, after Johnny s death, Ponyboy
becomes The Hero. On page 145 the text states Yessir, I said, I ll try. What s the theme supposed to be
on? Anything you think is important enough to write about. And it isn t a reference theme; I want your
own ideas and your own experiences . Ponyboy then writes a theme paper based on Johnny s life,
letting everyone know what they ve gone through. He has an honorable purpose, allowing him to be
The Hero. Ponyboy also faces a great deal of problems, although his are not the same as Dara s. Like
her, he is also driven from his home and placed in an intense war. Unlike her, his war is of the social
classes and not countries. While Dara must overcome her fears, Ponyboy must discover who he is as a
person and who he wants to

cases where more than one substance is shared.

22. Elements Of Roman And Greek Architecture
Roman and Greek architecture are very prominent examples of early historic architectural
advancements. These cultures left imprints on society, founding future forms of art and architecture
through their inspirational elements are artists. These long lasting cultural elements have created
echoes as deep into the future as now, the 21st century. Looking at the Southern Methodist Church in
downtown Austin, we see a variety of Greek and Roman architectural elements. The Southern
Methodist Church has a variety of classical elements that attribute it to past temples and structures
created by the Roman and Greek cultures, appropriated to fit into the religion of the church by the
manipulation of certain parts, such as the frieze. To begin, the first and foremost part of the discussion
is the elements of Greek and Roman architecture that have been incorporated and appropriated for the
building of this church. The first and foremost noticeable feature would be the columns, architrave,
and pediment. The columns are classic ionic columns, starting from the ornate base and leading up to
the capital, all the elements of the classical ionic columns are present, creating an almost life like
appearance to the columns as they grow and support the architrave, a characteristic that can be traced
back to Egyptian columns in temples and funerary buildings. Further, the shaft of the column follows
the Greek style of creation. The divides are evidence that each piece of the columns were

23. Aca Or A Non Disclosure Agreement
Question No. 1 Part A: Answer. ACA or a non disclosure agreement is a contract between two parties
agreeing to confine information provided by one party to the other, from third parties. It is essential
for both parties to maintain trust between each other and to since BTOC is the first interested financial
investor for LOL, it is necessary that the terms are kept confidential from the market to avoid possible
damage to repute. Also, no formal contract has yet been signed between the parties; therefore, any
information being shared is not public information (Maguire, Murchison Jaeger, 2012). The
confidentiality agreement is essential to cover all proprietary assets, which includes all customer and
supplier information, intellectual property information, pricing and costing information, trademarks
and copyrights, trade secrets and all other financial statements of BTOC. The confidential agreement
must also cover the subsidiaries that the BTOC has with respect to a potential transaction which is
normally considered as the purchaser agreed not to disclose until he has made the sale process with
public. Part B: Answer. If no agreement is signed, LOL is at greater risk of information being shared
with third parties. The research material shared with BOTC for financial assistance may get to the
market before its right time. LOL can get into legal, reputational or marketing issue as it holds
potential additional information regarding the site. If there is no agreement signed

24. Personality Theories In Good Will Hunting
Personality theory is very important within Psychology due to the fact that personality explains who a
person is. As for theory, it is a set of ideas that are established about certain facts to help better
understand them (Engler, 2013). There has been many famous personality theorists such as Sigmund
Freud and Erik Erikson. Both of these men have developed very important personality theories that
have helped in understanding the development from childhood to adulthood. Within the movie Good

resembles Freud s personality theory, while the last four is a subdivided version of Freud s genital
stage (Engler, 2013). Each stage involved a life crisis, if this life crisis was not fixed Freud believed

25. Leadership And Organization Culture Of A School
Leadership and Organization Culture
A school community is empowered by its leadership team to excel by the way the leadership team
interacts with every person it comes in contact with. Every single interaction becomes like cells in the
body, swimming towards the heart of the school and its singular purpose: Children. People, singular or
in groups, can be as dynamic as the many systems of the body, each with its own primary function but
also each with its true purpose in sustaining equilibrium.
The Leadership and Organization Culture of a school is a conundrum, something less tangible than the
black and white policies written in a manual. While these aspects of leadership culture, even defined,
can be difficult to explain, it is best for a leader to attempt an explanation, then it is for a leader to
remain silent to the school s community need for a greater understanding of its deeper operations.
Here is a brief attempt, if not flawed, at articulating the characteristics of a strong leadership and
organization culture.

26. The Lawn At The University Of Virginia And Ix Art Park
Influences of planning theorists are evident in The Lawn at the University of Virginia and IX Art Park
in downtown Charlottesville by examining the sites designs, activities, and users.
Thomas Jefferson designed a university to promote higher education which he called his Academic
Village, and the Lawn was the center of his design. He wanted to create a university where everybody
could not only learn and study, but also live together. Therefore, he designed pavilions which served
as houses and classrooms for teachers and rooms for students that were all connected to each other.
Furthermore, everybody had a view towards a green space called the Lawn. Jefferson s interest in
architecture influenced his design for the Academic Village. The layout of the Village with the central
lawn was inspired by French hospital planning and the surrounding structures were inspired by Roman
architecture. Jefferson aimed to create a place that was practical, healthy, and educational.
Construction began in 1817, and the university opened in March 1825 with Jefferson s selected faculty
and 123 students. Jefferson s Academic Village expanded after his death into a larger campus, now
known as the University of Virginia. Students and faculty continue to live in rooms around the Lawn
and classes are still taught in the pavilions.

Characters are one of the most important part to any story, movie, or book. The protagonist in The
Jungle Book really makes the story that it is. The main character Mowgli plays a good role in the story
allowing the younger viewers to relate with him and his young age. The kids who watch the movie can
understand, love the child like comedy, and enjoy all the songs that the characters sing together. The
other two key protagonist, Bagheera and Baloo, really make things easier for the parental viewers to

more like parents to the young Mowgli. They protect Mowgli from danger and teach him valuable life
lessons. With the protagonist appealing to both children and parents, The Jungle Book makes this a
great family friendly movie. On the other hand, there are the antagonist in the movie like King Louie

In turn, this result in the allowance of the muscles to contract is involuntary and requires no thought.
The relationship between the structure and function of the Outer Wall Intestine cells is, in the
structure, the fibers are short and not striated, while since the cells are smooth cells this allows the
function of the cells to be involuntary and is composed in the lining of the organ. The contractions of
the cells allow the organ to keep blood, fluids, and necessary nutrients to flow throughout the organ.
Slide 1:Muscle Skeletal Longitudinal Section and Slide 2:Muscle Skeletal Cross Section Yes, there are
multiple striations across the width of the Muscle Skeletal Longitudinal Section of the cells and the
Muscle Skeletal Cross Section cells. There are several nuclei in both cells. The fibers in both cells are
striated, and the fibers are long and each muscle cell is fused to one another. This is why so many
nuclei are included. Also, the fibers are almost threadlike, with dark and light colored striations. As a
result of the contractions in the Muscle Skeletal Longitudinal Section cells and the Muscle Skeletal
Cross Section cells, it allows your muscle to be able to contract in response to nerve stimuli. This
means that the movements of most of these muscles are not involuntary, you can control them.

Sol gel processing is prevented by nanomakes particles which causes pores surface with controlled
pore size ranging from few nanometers to tens of nanometers to allow biomolecules loading. The

used for size characterization, polydispersity index (PDI), and the zeta potential of SHMNCs. In
addition, SHMNCs can be visualized by scanning electron micrograph (SEM) method (Fig. 9 B C).
The Number of pores on each SHMNC can be varied by changing the ratio of masks and interior

Hence, different size of SHMNCs need to be fabricated (Table 2). The pores size on the surface of
SHMNCs are controllable by choosing different nanomasks diameter. The size of each pore will be
approximately around 25 35% of nanomask diameter. For instance, using 100, 60 and 40 nm
nanomasks diameter, result mesoporous of 30±4, 20±3 and 12±2 nm in diameter, respectively [23].
The pore size should not be smaller than the maximum length of enzyme which needs to be loaded in
SHMNCs. Here, since the maximum size of enzyme is 12.2 nm (CaMKII), the pores size cannot be
less than 12 nm. Therefore, the 40 nm nanomask is the smallest nanomask that will be applied to
create SHMNCs.

A strategy is a long term approach to implementing a firm s business plans to achieve its business

However, Johnson and Scholes (Exploring Corporate Strategy) define strategy as follows:
Strategy is the direction and scope of an organization over the long term: which achieves advantage

It entails specifying the organization s mission, vision and objectives, developing policies and plans,
often in terms of projects and programs, which are designed to achieve these objectives, and then
allocating resources to implement the policies and plans, projects and programs. A balanced scorecard
is often used to evaluate the overall performance of the business and its progress towards objectives.
Recent studies and leading management theorists have advocated that strategy needs to start with
stakeholders expectations and use a modified balanced scorecard which includes all stakeholders.
Strategic management is an ongoing process that evaluates and controls the business and the industries
in which the company is involved; assesses its competitors and sets goals and strategies to meet all
existing and potential competitors; and then reassesses each strategy annually or quarterly [i.e.
regularly] to determine how it has been implemented and whether it has succeeded or needs

The majority of the targets for the Sustainable Development Goal of conserving ocean and marine
resources were measurable and can be attained through sensible efforts and dedication. However,
targets 14.1 and 14.2 were not as fully measurable as others due to vague execution methods for
addressing the issue in concern. To further explain, target 14.1 has a measurable target of reducing
pollution, but does not further elaborate on how to do so. Furthermore, target 14.2 addresses the
measurable requirement to protect oceanic and marine ecosystems, yet the approaches to solving the
problem included strengthening their resilience, and taking action... , which appear to sound vague and
immeasurable (UNSDKP). Therefore, a good approach to dealing with these issues is to educate and
raise awareness to the public about the harmful consequences of polluting the ocean. Moreover,
targets 14.3 and 14.4 were substantially more measurable and addressed a direct, realistic solution to
the issues. These targets discuss ocean acidification and overfishing respectively, both being
measurable since acidity levels and fish population can be measured overtime. The direct solution to
both issues is scientific cooperation, where a scientific approach is most likely able to resolve these
matters. Likewise targets 14.5 and 14.6 are measurable because land area and subsidies can be
quantified. Target 14.7 is not only a measurable target, but also rewarding. Firstly, economic benefits

forgiveness. It is intuitive for me to believe that it is not possible for pseudo self forgiveness to have
the same effect as true self forgiveness, but with out research on the matter how can one be sure.
When I read that the test for self forgiveness cannot differentiate between the two, it made me wonder
if it is difficult for a person or a counselor to know the difference. It also made me wonder if it is
possible that simply believing that things are better can actually make someone feel better.
I also found the question regarding the appropriateness of self forgiveness to be interesting. When a
person believes something is their fault that is not, what approach should a counselor take? Is it more
appropriate to spend the time and effort on developing the skills to know what happened was not the
client s fault, or is it more appropriate to provide the skills that will allow the person to forgive his or
herself for what they believed they caused to happen? While this would have to be considered on a
case by case basis, as a counselor it would be helpful to have more research on the topic that results in
guidance on how to approach these types of

41. Classroom Safety
In my school there are different safety policies for the events, but one thing stays the same throughout
all of the safety policies and that is the bag. Each classroom has the red bag that hangs behind the
door. Inside the red bag is three cards red, green, and yellow that are about the size of conduction
paper and made of plastic. The red card is for a missing student, the yellow for an extra student and
the green for all is good. Inside this bag is also an a set of instructions for every disaster along with a
class roll for both of their blocks, a loud whistle and some latex gloves and Band Aids in a small bag
of their own. In every safety policy the teacher is supposed to bring the bag with them, and
immediately begin taking roll, and digging out the card for the case.
In an intruder situation the sign is an automatic voice over the intercom that says GO LOCKDOWN!

42. Gladiatorial Protection and Battles
Posters hung of these gladiators upcoming battles and tallies were posted of these individual gladiators
records. Gladiatorial battles truly morphed into a game to the audience, as fans placed bets on who
would win each battle. These gladiators were no longer looked at as human beings, but rather as
bodies in a blood battle. These battles were so gruesome in order to entertain and appease the large
audiences. The gladiators went to all costs when it came to the arena battles, and even created their
own fighting styles in order to make the battles more interesting. I had no idea that gladiatorial battles
were such an art, and that there were so many gladiatorial fighting styles implemented. Gladiators
were armed with various weapons and had different fighting techniques. Some gladiators rode into the
arena on horseback, known as equites , as a scare tactic before he fought his opponent. Others carried
large shields that covered their entire bodies for protection, known as murmillo s , while some
gladiators carried small shields that covered only their torso so they were better able to move around.
1 The picture below shows some of the other types of gladiators and the armor they wore for battle.
(Figure 2)3 There is much debate over which type of gladiatorial protection was better suited to help
win the battles. Many argued that gladiators with more armor and weapons were better equipped to
win because they had more protection from fatal blows. Others argued that the

43. Speech On The Scottsboro Boys
The Scottsboro Boys
Have you ever heard of the Scottsboro Boys or wondered about the early Jim Crow South? Well, the
Scottsboro Boys were a group of black youths that got into a fight with white boys in a freight car on a
train going from Chattanooga, TN south to Alabama. After the white boys told officers about the fight,
the Boys were taken into custody. Then two white girls that were on the train accused the black youths
of rape and they were officially arrested. The story of the Scottsboro Boys is one of cruelty, neglect,
and lies in the Jim Crow south. This is how the story of the Scottsboro Boys begin. March 25, 1931
four African American boys jumped on a freight car in Chattanooga, TN. The boys names were
Haywood Patterson, Eugene Williams, Roy and Andy Wright (Aretha 9). A white boy stepped on
Patterson s hand and almost pushed Williams off the train, then the trouble began (Aretha 10). After
Patterson stood up for his friends and himself, the white boys got mad and threw rocks at the black
youths. The boys from Chattanooga were joined by other black men. After the four from Chattanooga
told them about what happened, the four and about 8 others confronted the attackers. A fight broke out
and some whites jumped off the train and some were tossed off. One white boy remained, Orville
Gilley, because the black boys decided it wouldn t be safe to toss him off (Aretha 12). There were also
two white girls on the train, Victoria Price and Ruby Bates (Aretha 10). The train

Gatsby throws parties. He hosts flamboyant galas with classy music and entertains thousands. He
seems to enjoy the festivities, because his guests always return and he always welcomes his guests. On
the surface he seems to be an outgoing fellow, appreciative of all the people in his life. But under this
facade there is a more sinister aspect to Gatsby. Jay Gatsby is manipulating his milieu for the
satisfaction of himself and does not care about others in other words a narcissist. Jay Gatsby is a

Because Gatsby is standing alone, searching for the elusive Daisy, he is shown to not be content. He
finds no joy in having all these people here if he cannot find his Daisy. He views Daisy as the person
that will bring him to an even higher social class, because even though he is rich, he still remembers
the social value Daisy encompasses because of her abundance of lovers. Ultimately he wants to swell
his ego, to tame the wild beast, because Daisy wasn t settled down before with any one man. Even
though she is now married, he still views her with the same awe of when he first laid eyes on her at
camp, even remarking that Her voice is full of money (127) in reference to his percieved value of her
when they first met. Quintessentially, Gatsby has narcissism flowing through his veins because he is
attempting to recreate a past to soothe his remorse from when he initially left Daisy to fight in the war.
The way he treats his milieu also exposes his narcissism. Although he regularly hosts gigantic parties
in the hopes of attracting Daisy, he doesn t treat any of the other individual guests with grace. People

Andrew Jackson was one of the most peculiar presidents of the United States. Jackson had a different
past then most of the presidents because he was born in poverty and had to work for his wealth. Other
presidents were born into wealth and had every opportunity handed to them. Although this played a
big part on Jackson s presidency this did not play as big of a part as you would think. He had a
military background, serving as a general in the war of 1812, along with experience with being an
attorney, and his own private practice. Sadly, his wife died a year into his presidency causing him to

the people out of their homes, drive them away with nothing, and take it for our country. While he is
planning this, the Native people already had an agreement with the US which gave them rights to hat
land by treaty. Jackson is shown as a villain by shoving these people out of their homelands without
caring about how this could affect them, only how it would help him. In Document B, it describes the
Trail of Tears, where Jackson made the Native Americans leave their homes sometimes at gunpoint

50. Analysis Of The Corpse Of Brutus Essay
Standing over the corpse of Brutus, Antony begins his terse and final speech with the words This was
the noblest Roman of them all. In order to discover the meaning of this claim, we must look to the
next few lines in which Antony provides support for it. He notes that all the conspirators save only he /
did that they did in envy of great Caesar. This seems, at least regarding Brutus, to be accurate. We find
evidence for this in the beginning of the scene set in Brutus s orchard. Brutus says regarding Caesar I
know no personal cause to spurn at him, / But for the general. While it is not, as we shall soon find,
always advisable to take the claims of this play s characters at face value, these words are spoken
when Brutus is alone and consequently without reason to dissemble. Brutus thus does not bear any
personal envy for Caesar but only opposes him for the general cause, which is the common welfare of
Rome. This aligns very well with what Antony says next in his final speech, that Brutus only in a
general honest thought / And common good to all made one of [the conspirators]. So far, then, Antony
seems to reckon Brutus the noblest Roman of them all because of his commitment to the general
welfare at the expense of his own, and his speech perhaps expresses a tragically late recognition of
Brutus s greatness.
The next three lines of this speech, however, when contrasted with the first line, present a serious
claim about nobility as it applies to the citizen and to

51. Reflection Of The FilmPaper Man, By John Kahrs
The short film, Paper man , by John Kahrs is a genuine reflection on his world. The way this is
depicted is through his exploration use of magic, the amazing symbolism of the colour used and the
service of sound. The representation of these allows, the audience to be more thankful to this film and
understand its diversity in the world that it once was.
Paper man , is presented in a reflection of the world through the exploration use of magic. This is best
illustrated through the world of 2012 because of how black and white the world was. This film was
created explaining and unfolding the world to a black and white film which gives it a sense of a
romantic genre. As the use of magic is portrayed, the audience get a feeling of hope and happiness as
we too feel the realistic emotions as the main character in this short film. Three quarters if the way
through, when things are looking down and sad, the little spark we call Disney starts up and help two
people rekindle the love at first sight. The use of magic makes the audience feel as though nothing is
as it seems, that things can get better and to always, always, believe in yourself and never give up.
Nonetheless, this film represents the world at the time through the use of magic!
This films diversity and reflection of the world has dramatically changed based on the range of colour
this film offers. The portrayal of the film is based on the way colour has genuinely symbolised the
significance. The little bit of

Brazil received the largest portion of the slaves. The Brazilian coastline was especially a major hosting

The first European to uncover Brazil was Pedro Alveres Cabral, who made the discovery in 1500.
Consequently, the Europeans settled in Brazil with the initial intention of harvesting Brazilian wood,
however, sugar was found to grow very well in Brazil. The profits of sugar went further than those
that were being reaped from the wood; which meant sugar would become the main Brazilian export.
Over time, Brazil made a name for itself as the production of not just the best sugar, but also the main
producer in the Atlantic world. Therefore, the nature of the sugar trade and its growth created
challenges within the farming process that turned out to be very labor intensive. The reality was very
few European farmers, which made it a task for them to meet the proper labor demands while the
native population was not very effective in handling the pressures that were distinctive in the sugar
plantations. This forced the sugar farmers to resort to importing labor in the form of slaves. In the
initial stages, the Portuguese were getting about 5,000 slaves annually. These slaves were mainly
gotten from Angola and in West Africa and were being sent to Brazil (Behrendt, 1997).
As time moved on, the number of slaves being transported to Brazil continued to increase recurrently.
According to Selka (2007), more than a million slaves had been imported to Brazil by the turn of the
18th century.
