Physical education is an integral part of education designed to promote fitness through participation in selected activities. It is offered in primary and secondary schools and encourages psychomotor learning and health through play. Physical fitness is defined as the ability to function efficiently and carry out daily tasks without undue fatigue. It is the basis for intellectual activity. Healthy habits for physical fitness include proper nutrition from foods rich in nutrients, 7-9 hours of sleep per night, regular medical checkups, recreational activities like sports, and daily exercise and personal hygiene like bathing and brushing teeth.
