This is a presentation by Dada Robert in a Your Skill Boost masterclass organised by the Excellence Foundation for South Sudan (EFSS) on Saturday, the 25th and Sunday, the 26th of May 2024.
He discussed the concept of quality improvement, emphasizing its applicability to various aspects of life, including personal, project, and program improvements. He defined quality as doing the right thing at the right time in the right way to achieve the best possible results and discussed the concept of the "gap" between what we know and what we do, and how this gap represents the areas we need to improve. He explained the scientific approach to quality improvement, which involves systematic performance analysis, testing and learning, and implementing change ideas. He also highlighted the importance of client focus and a team approach to quality improvement.
1. Perfect lifestyle rules!
1. Don’t forget about breakfast!
It is essential to eat breakfast. We usually have lots of things to
do in the morning, for example revise before a test or do our
homework but it’s the most important meal during the day. We
can eat for example salad or cornflakes with milk. We can
prepare it quickly and eat it while studying.
2. 5 meals everyday!
We should eat 5 meals every day – consume small servings but
frequently!
3. Healthy and natural snacks!
Most people want to grab a snack throughout the day. We can do
healthy snacks at home, for example a candy bar with corn,
honey and fruit or nuts. You can buy it, too! It depends on your
free time; however we should sometimes eat a small piece of
dark chocolate. That’sgood for ourhealth!
4. Eat nutritious food!
Eat a variety of food to get all the nutrients you need! What’s
more, consume plenty of fruit, vegetables, fish and dairy
products, because they are rich in vitamins. but when we eat
some chocolate we won’t die! Everything is for humans!
5. Drink a lot of water!
Our body loses 2-3 litres of water every day. This liquid is
necessary to live so we must remember to rehydrate. We don’t
have to drink only water. We can drink juice, tea or milk as well.
6. Meals without sugar and salt!
Sugar and salt are dangerous for our health. We should cut down
on these ‘white killers’. We can use brown sugar in place of
white one, whereas instead of salt we can use spices.
2. 7. Rest, housework and homework!
We are tired after 8 hours at school but our parents think that we
are in the best mood. They usually ask us to do some housework.
We have to do homework, housework and, first of all, we must
rest! Minimum 1 hourafter dinner.
8. Good night!
Sleeping is essential in our life. Without dream we die after two
days!
9. Do sports!
You don’t have to go to the gym but you can opt for run, jump,
do gymnastics, play volleyball, basketball, football etc.- just do
any sport to keep fit.
10. Not only body!
We should study in order to train our brain. It’s essential if we
want to stay healthy.
11. Work over your emotions!
When we get angry our heart rate heightens. It isn’t good for our
health. Whenyouareangry- breathecalmly and slowly.
