Bruce Springsteen s Tunnel Of Love
Tunnel of Love is unlike any other album that Bruce Springsteen has written. This was an album full
of love songs, songs about the ups, downs, trust and loyalty that come with being in a relationship.
The Tunnel of love album is drastically different from the previous Nebraska and Born in the U.S.A.;
those two albums both talked about the struggles and hardships of the working class, a motif that does
not appear in Tunnel of Love. The beat of this album differs greatly from that of Born in the U.S.A.
this album isn t as up beat and fun, instead the album is more down beat and sounds somewhat sad.
This album as a whole shows us that when someone doesn t understand himself/herself it can hurt his
or her relationship, and lead to unfaithfulness. Springsteen refers to marriage in the songs Walk like a
Man , Cautious Man , and Spare Parts . Cautious Man is a song about a man who enjoyed his life of
solitude and wandering, and always chose the life he was used to over love until one day when a
woman caught his attention. He fell in love, and married her soon after meeting her. Bruce Springsteen
married American model Julianne Phillips in 1985, after the release of Tunnel of Love. On the album,
many of the songs described his unhappiness in the relationship with Phillips, and in 1989 (two years
after the release of Tunnel of Love) they got a divorce. Although Bruce Springsteen denies this, many
people, including myself, believe that Cautious Man is an autobiographical

The Ability Of A Classic Book
The ability of a classic book is to be reinterpreted. A classic is something that is Judged over a period
to be of the highest quality and outstanding of its kind (kimsunjin, 2013). A classic book is a book
accepted as being paradigmatic or prominent, for instance, books like Pride and Prejudice, To Kill a
Mockingbird, Of Mice and Men and so forth, are listed in a list of great books. Either through an
imprimatur or a reader s opinion. Per Henrik Blidal, Casper Sylvest and Perter Wilson in Classics of
international Relations: Essays in criticism and appreciation they define a classic in five key ways; the
acknowledged or undisputed classic , the archetypal classic , the classic in the making , the overlooked
classic and lastly the Alternative format classic . Kenneth Waltz s neo realist Theory of International
Politics is arguably the utmost significant book in International relations, as Jack Donnelly argues it is
causing a fundamental discursive transformation and conveying the notion of anarchy to the forefront
(Donnelly, n.d.). Similarly, Keohane and Nye s Power and Interdependence re examined the military
and economic interests of state and non state actors. The authors widened the dominant realist
worldview of the time and contributed to many of the advances in our modern era of globalization.
* Waltz s 1979 Theory of International politics fits into the category of the acknowledged or
undisputed classics , perhaps because it replaced Morgenthau s

Piercing Procedure Research Paper
Once you ve decided to get a piercing, the next step is figuring out who should do the job. It s
important to choose your artist carefully, since the wrong one could leave you with a variety of
bloodborne illnesses, including HIV. Ask around for recommendations and examine your chosen
facility with your own eyes before consenting to a piercing procedure. When checking out your
potential piercer, here are three things they absolutely need to be: licensed, insured and immaculately
clean. With apologies to Meatloaf, two out of three simply isn t good enough when choosing a piercer.
Find someone who possesses all three of these qualities before having your piercing done.
Licensed
When performing a body piercing, it is important for the artist to know where certain nerves and other
important anatomical structures are located. Piercing is risky when done improperly, leading many
cities to legislate who may and may not perform the procedure. In order to operate legally in these
places, a piercing parlor must meet certain health and safety requirements and submit to periodic
inspections. Those who comply are issued a license to display so customers know that the facility has
been inspected and is in compliance with all of the related laws and safety requirements. If an
operating license is not displayed, ask to see one before going any further. ... Show more content on

Verify that your potential piercer has insurance that specifically covers piercing work. This insurance
protects you by ensuring that your artist has adequate coverage to pay your expenses in the event of a
serious infection or other problem. If you are at a festival or other event when the mood for a piercing
strikes you, verify that the piercer s insurance coverage applies when he is working outside of his
permanent studio. It is also wise to make sure any guest artists are also covered before letting one
perform your piercing.

The Criminal Justice System Essay
The construction of the criminal the justice system composes of various agencies with explicit
procedures to control and diminish crimes along with, implementing penalties on those in violation of
the laws. During the seventeenth century, society and the criminal justice system focused primarily on
punishment than deterrence, and as society evolved, the criminal justice system manifested. The
criminal justice system was not as complex and intricate as it is today. Beginning with the founding of
our Country, the creation of the United States Constitution, our government has created substantial
amounts of legislative materials, including, laws and regulations, to ensure due process and minimize
criminal acts and behaviors. Our government has looked to all the local and state officials, in joining
forces to reduce crime in our states and cities.
Law enforcement agencies are our first line of defense in protecting society from the effects of crime.
Numerous strategies law enforcement agencies utilize across the United States to control crime, some
demonstrated effectiveness while others were refuted or unsubstantiated. Controlling crime
encompasses a combination of strategies rather than a single strategy.

Yes, they have. In some countries, where land was scarce, governments limited the area of the land

government for utilities such as power, gas and water. A typical period required for arranging
government approval for a theme park could be as high as two to five years, depending on the country.
Product differentiation

The Theory And The Neurocognitive Theory
The field of psychology has been working hard to understand what dreams are, why we have them,
and what they mean. In this paper, I am going to use four different theories to analyze a dream I had.
Some of these theories disagree with the other, but in my opinion they all have their strong points.
Freud s Theory, the Activation Synthesis Theory, the Problem Solving theory, and the Neurocognitive
theory, are the four theories dominating the field right now, and will be the four I will use to further
understand my dream.
My dream started in a very rural country side, corn growing in fields around me. In the beginning, I
was alone standing by an old metal RV. Then, a spaceship landed right in front of the corn fields. A
door opened to two creatures I had never seen before; aliens. All of a sudden, I have a little blond girl
around the age of 5 or 6 holding my hand looking very scared and my best friend to the left of me. The
aliens summoned me over and I walked to them with the little girl. They told me they wanted the girl
and in return would bring me fortune. I handed her over to them and they gave me a box. I started
walking back to the RV where my friend was, but I stopped and turned around to see the girl walking
into the ship, making eye contact with her and feeling immense guilt. But, I turned around and showed
my friend the gift that would make me a fortune, which turned out to be an inflatable spaceship photo
booth. I was very happy and started to plan the future I

Analysis Of James Baldwin s The Great Gatsby
When individuals hold hatred in their minds, they will be more aggressive to others, especially to the
higher level authority. In James Baldwin s story, he is not happy with the white people s power. He is
full of the hatred. When he purposely went to the non colour restaurant, he tries to challenge the
higher levels. Baldwin writes, I pretended not to have understood her, hoping to draw her closer ... I
realized that she would never come any closer and that I would have to strike from a distance. He
wants to know why the whites are the stronger group, why the whites can destroy his hopes. However,
when he found out the whites are weaker than him but still having more powers, he turns his hatred
into violence. Baldwin writes, I picked this up and hurled it with all my strength at her. She ducked
and it missed her and shattered against the mirror behind the bar. He is angry and being violence, and
those violence comes out from his hates. When people looking down on him, his despairs bitterness
and hatred make him want to get the respects from the higher authority. He was waiting for the higher
authority to throw him out, but the reality makes him even more upset. Relating to the cops in the
Freddie Gray, the reason of their aggressiveness is also about getting respects. The policemen who
worked at inner city will afraid of local community. Those policemen has despair and bitterness inside
of them, because they can be in dangerous by just going to the work. They work at

The Treatment Philosophy Of Alcoholics Anonymous
Meeting attended: Alcoholics Anonymous, Serenity Group, Urban Ministries, 03/07/2016, 1200.
The treatment philosophy of Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) is that of a 12 step program, additionally,
the group caters to individuals who are recovering, or trying to recover from alcoholism. This group
only focuses on alcohol abuse/misuse and not any other types of addiction. The 12 step program used
by AA uses a person s spirituality to focus their attention on their higher power and how they might
draw strength from it. In the meeting that I attended, the participants concentrated on the first two
steps of the 12 step program. The first step, admitting that the person is/was powerless over alcohol,
opened my eyes due to the fact that I always had thought that the first step was admitting you have a
problem. Although, they come to the same conclusion, the word powerless struck a chord because
being powerless can leave you feeling worthless and weak. The second step, believing that a power
greater than yourself will restore you to sanity, I feel was the absolute focus of this meeting. The
participants read prayers and meditation passages before the meeting really got underway. I looked
around at the faces in the room and I saw peace and acceptance on most faces when they were praying
to their God to give them strength to abstain from alcohol for the day.
After the opening prayers, dedications, meditation, and introductions (to which everyone said their

Analysis Of The Disney Competitive Strategy
A company that would like to expand and continue the health of the company needs to formulate
strategy. There should be goals that plans and actions of a company would attempt to reach. A
company may utilize competitive strategies that in which goals are made with competition in mind
and corporate strategy concerns goal directed plans and actions that target business choices (Coulter,
2013). The Disney Difference and how it Affects the Company s Corporate, Competitive and
Functional Strategies The Disney Difference is the strategic plan that was implemented by the Disney
CEO in 2005, Bob Iger. Mr. Iger determined that there was too much Disney product of inferior
quality available to the public. He also noted that much of Disney s products were old and outdated as
well as targeting too narrow of a young audience. Mr. Iger began to create formulate strategies that
would attract a wide variety of consumers (Coulter, 2013). The Disney brand is traditionally one that
parents trust with their children. When determining what is a functional strategy, not only is there the
world market to explore, but there is the age market. The goals of competitive strategy should be to
develop a brand that multiple ages, genders and cultures would enjoy. Disney competes with other
companies, such as Nickelodeon and Universal Studies. The reason for this these strategies is
maximize consumption which really is profit and corporate survivability (Meyers, McKnight

The Latin Word La Raza
The Latin word La Raza, spoken by many Latin Americans united by culture and spiritual beliefs, is
translated into the race. This idea of La Raza brings the cultures separated around the world together
based on the similar ideas of a great destiny and culture values. There are many concepts that are
different from the Anglos, which translates to white, English speaking American, but there are many
attributes that are similarly seen within each culture. Among many Anglos, there is a racist assumption
that those who are Mexican are lazy when there are cultural reasons for the way Latin Americans
choose to live. Those among the Mexican culture has a strong belief in a splendid destiny planned by
God that hasn t occurred based on the culture or groups of Mexican people s sins; such as, the thieves
and drunks (William, 1964, p. 15). This belief in God already having a plan for each individual among
the earth has created a calm atmosphere toward planning for the future. Many Mexican Americans
consider the act to plan frivolous because God has already planned their future, and they permit fate to
control their decisions. Instead of planning for the future, the most important role is family
responsibilities among the male and female presently. As stated in William s article, Gregorio said, I
owe everything to my family. Were it not for my parents love for each other, I would never have been
born. They raised me and taught me all I know...When one has a family, one is never alone

How Lymphedema Is An Abnormal Distension
Lymphedema is an abnormal distension, composed of protein and fluid secondary to the improper
functioning of the lymphatic system, which leads to a decreased balance of flow and fluid discharge
(Viehoff, Hidding, Heerkens, van Ravensberg, Neumann, 2014). Lymphedema may occur in the upper
extremity, lower extremity, head, neck, and thorax (Viehoff et al., 2014). Lymphedema is classified as
either primary or secondary lymphedema (Viehoff et al., 2014). According to Viehoff et al. (2014),
primary lymphedema in hereditary in nature and may affect any body part, but occurs mostly in the
legs. Secondary lymphedema results from damage to the lymphatic system secondary to infection with
lymphatic filariasis, radiotherapy, chemotherapy, or inguinal and axillary node dissection (Viehoff et
al., 2014).
According to Viehoff et al., (2014), lymphedema is under recognized due to the fact that is not a
registered pathology. Viehoff et al., (2014) reports that there are approximately 140 to 250 million
people worldwide affected by lymphedema. The same author states that there is an estimated 120
million impacted by lymphedema in 72 countries, concurrently or previously infected with lymphatic
filariasis. 15 million of those were positively confirmed to have lymphedema as reported in the World
Health organization.

The Rationalization of the South African Society
Modernity revolves around the rational application of scientific method to certain aspects of life. This
could be done through the development of governmental regulations, bureaucratic observation, and
the erosion of traditional values (Beck, Lash Giddens, 1997). New thought processes and the increase
in the application medicine and technology have played important roles in the concept of rationalism
(Bilton et al, 2002). The character of modern society could be defined by rationalism (Macionis
Plummer, 2012: 123); this can be clearly seen in the South African rational social organization context
from hunter gatherer days to modern day society. An example of this would be how the essence of
time has changed within society. In traditional hunter gatherer societies, like The San and Zulu clans ,
before technological inventions such as the clock was introduced, people used to base their time on the
sun and moon s position as well as seasons to allocate their time in regions and activities in order to
conduct their livelihood (South Africa African Religions, 1996). However, in modern day society,
owing to the clock invention, scheduled activities/events are precisely on the hour and minute
(Macionis Plummer, 2012: 123). Thus, modern society has allowed individuals to be more efficient,
by limiting time constraints through technology and infrastructure and has greatly improved the
livelihoods of people, owing to better healthcare and institutions which affectively address

Abigail Fisher s Case Summary
The University of Texas at Austin is a world renown school with an acceptance rate of 40.2% as of
2013. Abigail Fisher, a white woman from Texas, sued the University of Texas for racial
discrimination in the university s admission program. Ms. Fisher lost her district court case and the
Fifth Circuit Case three to zero; but the Supreme Court accepted her appeal for another trial. Due to
Ms. Fisher not being able to attend The University of Texas, she was accepted into Louisiana State
University shortly after. At LSU, she filed the lawsuit against the University of Texas to prohibit the
university to use race as a factor in the future admission process. Ms. Fisher argued that race or
ethnicity should not be a factor in the application process because it is simply unfair. The university
responded that using race as a factor is only part of the admission process and is only used to ensure a
large diverse group of students. The University of Texas automatically admits students in the top ten
percent of high schools in the state. The school also used the affirmative action policy to admit
students of other races, even with less credentials, over white students. While Ms. Fisher was not in
the top ten percent of her high school, she still thought that with her GPA, performing arts, and other
achievements; she would be able to attend the university. The rule of law that is involved in this case

Willy Loman As A Tragic Hero
In the play The Death of a Salesman, written by Arthur Miller, Willy Loman is a very troubled and
distraught character. He is an ordinary man with nothing to show for himself. This leads him to a
constant internal battle. A tragedy, being defined as, a play dealing with tragic events and having an
unhappy ending concerning the downfall of the main character. The Death of A Salesman can be
thought of as a tragic play because the main character sets out to achieve something that will
inevitably lead to his downfall. While trying to live out a perfect version of the American dream but
falling very short. Often, Willy Loman is debated as a tragic hero, a character who makes a judgment
error that inevitably leads to their own destruction. When people think of a hero, they automatically
turn to kings or people of high nobility. The author, Arthur Miller, believed that the common man
makes the best tragic hero. In his essay, Tragedy and The Common Man , Miller argues for Willy
Loman by stating, a tragic hero does not need to be of high nobility, it can be in an average person
who possesses a tragic flaw . Arthur believed that there were many heroes in the world, and tragedy
can affect even the lowest of the classes. A tragic hero often makes the decision to end his life due to
his tragic flaw. Willy Loman can be defined as a tragic hero because he exhibits excessive pride, is
noble in nature, but imperfect so that the audience can relate to him, and is faced with a very big
decision that he has to make. The first characteristic provided by Aristotle is that the hero must exhibit
excessive pride. Willy shows this by repeatedly rejecting jobs that are being offered to him and stating
that he already is employed. CHARLEY: You want a job?
WILLY: I got a job, I told you that. [After a slight pause] What the hell are you offering me a job for?
CHARLEY: Don t get insulted.
WILLY: Don t insult me. (Act 1). He feels as though the people offering him the job are inferior to
him. Nevertheless being laid off several times, he continues to turn down offers. In his mind, he will
eventually make a sale and does not need charity. Not being employed proves fatal to his life, because
Willy should be the one

Queen Athaliah Short Story
Treason, treason! The cry rang across the crowded temple courtyard where the joyous crowning if
King Joash was taking place . A little girl standing near a pillar gasped, tugging at her mother s arm
Mama, it s Queen Athaliah! What is she going to do? Hush child, her mother urged, Just watch. See!
The priest has sent the guards to take care of her. As the little girl held tighter to the warm security of
her mother s hand, together they watched the soldiers lead the screaming, struggling queen away. Why
is she so mean, momma? wondered the young girl, Why isn t she happy about Joash becoming king,
like we are? Jehosheba sighed, She has only ever loved herself. Every thing Queen Athaliah does is
done to benefit her self. She began to think about the years she herself had lived in the palace, for
what her small daughter did not know was that queen she so feared was her very own grandmother.
Jehosheba knew this woman all too well.
Athaliah was the daughter of Ahab and Jezebel, the previous king of Israel. After the death of her
father, her own husband Jehoram became king. Now that filled her heart with delight! She was a
queen! Jehoram! she said one day in anger, I want to lead a nation, I do not want to lead you! Her
husband, she thought, was insufferable weak kneed fool. It was with very little sadness that she
watched him waste away of a slow, painful disease.

Observing problems in concrete form aids in my understanding and therefore the solution. Conversely,
the drawing of the diagram in a two dimensional form helped to deliver the correct answer. I
approached this question with the required knowledge and confidence to solve it immediately.
Question 5, NAPLAN (Year 9 non calculator), ACARA (2012)
Approach: The approach used to solve this scale was ratio set up in the form of a fraction.
Workings: To calculate the ratio, the actual length measurement is divided by the drawing length
measurement. The measurements need to be represented in fraction form. The drawing length is 4cm
and the actual length is 8mm.
Actual length over the drawing length: 8mm/4cm.
Simplify this fraction by determining the largest common denominator of both numbers. The largest
common denominator of both numbers is 4.
8mm/4cm : 2mm/1cm . Drawing length becomes 1cm and actual length becomes 2mm. The scale is
1cm represents 2mm.
Another way to solve this question would be by using data measurement with the mathematical
concept of division, using part/whole method. Both shapes were square and would be able to be
divided equally. Using the part/whole method and establishing the number four was one of the
common denominators for both lengths.
DL = 4cm. 4cm ÷ 4 = 1cm : AL = 8mm. 8mm ÷ 4 = 2mm
Scale of drawing = 1cm represents 2mm

Title II provides funding for the teachers. According to National Association of Charter School
Authorizers (NACSA), To receive funds, a state has to have an approved plan to increase quality of
these professionals which could include elements like: teacher certification requirements, teacher
evaluations, alternative credential programs, or teacher retention. States have significant flexibility to
design their plan. (2016), This also seems to be an incentive for teachers, as they will receive the
appropriate training and funding for appropriate activities. There is an estimate of 2.3 billion in grants
offered in Title II based on need (poverty among students). (NACSA, 2017).
Title III provides grants for Language instruction for English learners and Immigrant students. As

Analysis Of Toni Morrison s Song Of Solomon
Victoria Sirianni Ms. Thompson AP ELA 4 21 July 2015 Song of Solomon Producing the plot with a
vivid image and motive allowed Toni Morrison to incorporate numerous literary works to enhance the
allusions in the story. These specific allusions gave readers a more accurate understanding of certain
aspects of the book. As well as this, readers are capable of searching beyond just the surface of what
the words say. The common use of biblical references and myths, as well as other notations, provide a
more in depth and detailed analyzation throughout the entire novel. To start off, Song of Solomon s
title relates to the biblical book of the same name. This emphasizes that the novel addresses more of
an old aged theme. The bible based book focuses on a conversation between two lovers and Toni s
novel is a celebration of the success of earthly love. Morrison also gives her characters biblical names
in order to match them with the well known figures. These characters not only obtain their original
history, but the history that their name carries in the Bible, as well. For example, the biblical character,
Hagar, is Sarah s handmaiden, who bears Sarah s husband a son and is then banished from his sight.
Similar to the previous one mentioned, Morrison s character is often used by Milkman. He takes
advantage of everything she has to offer and uses it for his own selfish benefits. He seems to regret

90 Tickets Of Instant Noodles Character Analysis
The novel 90 Packets of Instant Noodles, written by Deb Fitzpatrick. The novel involves the act of
growing up and a twist of adventure. It is about a boy named Joel who gets sent off to solitary
confinement as punishment for a crime that has been committed. Through the book we examine how
each character faces an internal struggle or moral dilemma within themselves. The character Joel faces
moral dilemmas of friendship, guilt and not doing the right thing. In the novel, we also notice Joel s
father face internal struggles which involve his son being such a troublemaker because of the father
son relationship they have. Lastly, we witness Joel s best mate Craggs, who faces the internal struggles
of family and not being loved. All of the characters ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Craggs displays the internal struggle of family through direct characterisation. On pages 89 90 you
read Joel thinking about Craggs s family problems. From page 90 you notice how as all the shouting
an anger coming from inside is being made an all Craggs does is keep his little sister Hannah safe and
reassuring her everything will be okay. This shows us a more soft, sensitive side of Craggs. Craggs
doesn t have a stable home lifestyle from indirect characterisation which represents the way he acts
out, in order to gain his parents attention, instead of always fighting with each other. On page 157
Craggs say to Joel in the letter I had to lie on my release conditions and say I d be living with the old s
(as if that would ever help me), this signifies how Craggs thinks his parents don t care about him.
Another struggle Craggs face is the fear of not being loved. Craggs doesn t have any affection from
anyone besides his sister and Joel. He fears that he want ever be loved. In the text we read how Craggs
only friend is Joel and how Joel is the person Craggs can be honest and loyal too. But after the whole
incident Craggs fear he has a lost that sense of affection. All of his internal struggles associated in the
novel are presented throughout the whole

The Pros And Cons Of The Colonization Of Mars
If the human race is to continue for another million years, we will have to boldly go where no one has
gone before, said Stephen Hawking in 2008. The interplanetary migration of our species has been a
stimulating prospect for ages, and, as technology is advancing by the minute, we are only getting
closer to its realization. For this prospect, Mars is the sole candidate. There are many reasons why this
is so, and there are many reasons as to why we should undergo the colonization of Mars now. But why
Mars in particular? Because it is the nearest celestial body that also happens to be very similar to
Earth. A day on Mars only forty minutes longer than a day on Earth, which, to plant and animal life,
would be familiar. Not only that, but Mars axis tilts similarly to how Earth does, which means that
Earth and Mars have similar seasonal patterns. These two aspects would provide colonists familiarity
rather than alienation. Not only this, but Mars is the closest planet to Earth that is potentially
inhabitable. (Venus is closer to Earth than Mars but highly uninhabitable.) Most interestingly, Mars
has sizeable reservoirs of ice mostly beneath its surface, which then could be uprooted and thus
usable. No other celestial body within the Sun s liveable boundary (called the Goldilocks zone ) have
these conveniences, making Mars the best option for interplanetary habitation.
Pursuing Mars colonization now would directly improve modern technology and life. Alexander

The Theological Arguments For and Against the Ordination of Women to the Priesthood
Women should be kept silent in the churches, for they are not allowed to speak, but
should be subordinate, as even the law says . (Corinthians 14: 34 35.)
Does St.Paul give an interpretation of the culturally conditioned views of his period, or that of Jesus
Christ, the Son of God? This question emphasises the ongoing debate over women s ordination within
the Roman Catholic Church and Orthodox churches. A person ordained to act as a mediator between
God and human beings administering the sacraments and preaching is the more simplified definition
of a priest. For the purposes of this essay a far more ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
To theologically examine the arguments we have to understand the historical and theological Christ.
Jesus was the Son of God, the incarnation and human form of God. Therefore God s teachings
represent Jesus and vice versa. In Genesis 2: 18 23 God specifically made a woman out of a man,
apparently implying male supremacy. Yet Genesis 1:27 reads
God created human beings, making them to be like himself. He created them male and female.
Backed up with further passages(Galatians 3:28 and Acts 10:34) we can see the first theological belief
in equality. However this also shows that the Bible can be a questionable source for issues such as
ordination considering these Genesis passages are reasonably inconsistent. This statement of equality
can be questioned as God incarnated himself as a male, Jesus, and resulted in an important argument
to signify why only men should fulfil the requirements for Priesthood. However, it seems conservative
Catholicism may have misinterpreted the distinction God purposely made between men and women.
Catholic and Orthodox churches argue God incarnated himself as a male because when acting in the
person of Christ, must carry a natural resemblance to him. Yet God should neither be pictured in

A Midsummer Night s Dream Puck
One of the most fascinating characters in William Shakespeare s A Midsummer Night s Dream is
Puck, also known as Robin Goodfellow. In English and Celtic folklore, the word Pouk was a medieval
term for the devil: Robin Goodfellow was also a nickname for the devil. Although Puck shows
antagonistic qualities, many critics believe Puck to be the closest thing to a protagonist A Midsummer
Night s Dream has.
Puck is the only character that is directly involved in all of the action that takes place throughout the

Puck s interference with the Athenian citizen s relationships and the love flower emphasizes the the
difficulties of love, the power of magic, the nature of dreams[,] and the relationships between fantasy
and reality (Bordas del Prado). When Oberon sends Puck to mess with Titania, Puck makes her fall in
love with Nick Bottom, a member of the Athenian working class, after giving him the head of a
donkey. When Titania professes her newfound love for Bottom, he admits, Methinks, mistress, you
should have little reason for that: and to say the truth, reason and love keep little company together
nowadays (Shakespeare). Bottom sees how illogical Titania s interest in him is, but he goes along with
it anyways. Puck creates such a strange relationship out of thin air, between two people that have
absolutely nothing in common. The theme of love being completely unpredictable is evident between
these two, as well as it is between the four Athenian lovers. Though Puck stirs up trouble, he is a
benevolent spirit, and can easily convey the message of love to the audience. Many times in
Shakespeare s play, the main protagonist ends the show with a recap of events and a goodbye blessing.
At the end of the play, Puck closes the show with a positive narration, We will make amends ere long;

Animals Are Not Being Treated Essay
With a growing population the farmers are having to raise more animals for production. . While
having to maximize their output they are having to lowering their expenses. In the process the animals
are being confined in small areas to help get them fatter and have to get them ready for market
quicker. The animals are not being given the best environment or treatment. A lot of people do not
realize how the animals being treated can affect us and they are only worrying about what they are
going to eat. The sheer number of animals raised within confinement operations increases the
transmission of infectious agents within flocks and herds and, by extension, between animals and
human workers (Animal Welfare Institute). When the animals are kept in small confined areas it can
cause them to get sick and when we eat the meat it could affect us. That may be reason behind why we
get swine flu. When they give the animals medicine that is also used in human medicine, it can cause
us to become resistant to the antibiotic. The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) estimates that each
year two million people in the United States contract antibiotic
resistant infections (Animal Welfare Institute). This proves that it is actually possible for us to become
resistant to medicine because they giving the same thing to the animals we eat. Animal and manure

The Fall of the House of Usher Analysis
The Fall of the House of Usher Review
The Fall of the House of Usher is a short story written by Edger Allan Poe in 1839. Almost everything
about the story is very gloomy, dark and depressing. For example, the house is described by the
narrator as the melancholy House of Usher and the description of Roderick Usher himself makes you
think of a corpse. This theme of dreariness and sorrow pervades the story and is done to a very
chilling effect, which really draws in the reader. The Fall of the House of Usher has lots of necessary
elements of a traditional Gothic tale: a dreary landscape, a haunted house, mysterious characters, etc.,

I felt creeping upon me, by slow yet uncertain degrees, the wild influence of his own fantastic yet

susceptible to other influences. He tries to suppress his fears and help his friend throughout the story
and is successful until, at the very end, his fear finally overcomes him as Lady Madeline s
reappearance after her death is just too much for him and ends up driving him out the house. Edgar
Allan Poe creates a sensation of claustrophobia in this story. The narrator is mysteriously trapped by
Roderick s lure and his need to help his friend. He cannot escape until the house of Usher collapses
completely. The house, because of its deteriorated state and seemingly seclusion from everything else,
seems to take on a monstrous character of its own the Gothic mastermind that controls the fate of its
inhabitants. Edgar Allan Poe creates confusion between the living things and inanimate objects by
doubling the physical house of Usher with the genetic family line of the Usher family, which he refers
to as the house of Usher. It is even said in the story that the people of the nearby village refer to both
the actual house and the Usher family as the house of Usher which reinforces the idea that they are the
same thing. Poe employs the word house metaphorically, but

Despite the growing demand for organic wheat and oats, a limited amount of research has been
undertaken to solve challenges faced by organic producers. Because crop plants cannot be protected
by conventional pesticides under organic standards, the development of crop varieties with the ability
to compete against weeds and resist infection from disease is extremely important. In reality, the
choice of variety is more crucial in organic than in conventional agriculture since synthetic herbicides
and protectants cannot be used. Only limited efforts have been made to breed small grain crop
varieties specifically for organic farming (Wolfe et al., 2008), even though it has been shown that in
order to optimize performance varieties should be bred specifically for organic management if the goal
is to optimize performance (Baenziger et al., 2011). As a result, organic producers are forced to choose
varieties that were developed and optimized for conventional farming and have limited access to
information on optimal management practices.
This project is expected to produce new varieties of spring wheat, winter wheat, and oat with
improved productivity and end use quality under organic management. The project will also provide
new practical advice for organic producers about small

The And Of The Renaissance
When describing Giuseppe Arcimboldo s artwork, scholars consistently use one term: bizarre. Indeed,
among his most famous paintings are that which feature human faces composed out of food, animals,
and household objects. Modern viewers have viewed these composite paintings amusingly. However,
there is more depth and context to Arcimboldo s art than simply to serve as forms of entertainment.
Research suggests Arcimboldo masked social critiques and political messages in his paintings, which
were reflective of the ongoing intellectual currents of the Renaissance. As best put by Thomas
DaCosta Kaufmann, Arcimboldo s paintings can be seen not as bizarre fancies, but as the expression
of the complicated intellectual world of the late sixteenth century (Elhard 117). Therefore, this paper
will examine Arcimboldo s background as an artist, analyses of his composite paintings, and the
relationship his artwork had to Renaissance scholarship. Arcimboldo was an Italian artist who worked
in the courts of emperors Ferdinand I, Maximilian II, and Rudolf II during the sixteenth century, the
period of the Renaissance. During his employment, Arcimboldo produced and designed tapestries,
stained glass windows, festival staging, and costumes. However, he is most famous for his avant garde
paintings of composite heads. These paintings were comprised of objects fruit, vegetables, books, etc.
associated with the allegorical meanings of the subjects (Elhard 116). The inspiration behind these

PCT is a form of talk psychotheraphy developed by psychologist Carl Rogers in the 1940s and

He still felt that the client was the one who should say what is wrong, find ways of improving, and
determine the conclusion of therapy his therapy was still very client centered even while he
acknowledged the impact of the therapist. Unfortunately, other therapists felt that this name for his
therapy was a bit of a slap in the face for them: Aren t most therapies client centered?
Nowadays, though the terms non directive and client centered are still used, most people just call it
Rogerian therapy. One of the phrases that Rogers used to describe his therapy is supportive, not
reconstructive, and he uses the analogy of learning to ride a bicycle to explain: When you help a child
to learn to ride a bike, you can t just tell them how. They have to try it for themselves. And you can t
hold them up the whole time either. There comes a point when you have to let them go. If they fall,
they fall, but if you hang on, they never learn.
It s the same in therapy. If independence (autonomy, freedom with responsibility) is what you are
helping a client to achieve, then they will not achieve it if they remain dependent on you, the therapist.
They need to try their insights on their own, in real life beyond the therapist s office!

Uveitis Is An Eye Disease That Mainly Affects Golden...
Pigmentary Uveitis is an eye disease that mostly affects Golden Retrievers. Pigmentary Uveitis is also
known as Golden Retriever Uveitis, cystic glaucoma, or the shortened name of PU. PU is thought to
have originated from the Northeastern part of the United States, and was mostly in Golden Retrievers.
PU also affects crossbred dogs with Golden s such as Goldendoodles. Although it is present in
crossbreds, the disease still mainly affects Golden Retrievers. This is a genetic disease that affects the
eye, and the eye only. Uveitis is an inflammation of the uveal tract, which includes the iris (Golden
Retriever Uveitis). PU is usually diagnosed around the age of 8.6 years. Which means if they were
breeding dogs, they would have already passed it on to their offspring. This genetic disease could
spread very quickly, considering the signs are not visible until after they have had offspring. Since
breeding programs outside of the United States have different certification standards, researchers do
not know if PU has spread to other countries at this time. Pigmentary Uveitis is usually diagnosed
around the age of 8.6 years, although there are cases that have reported as early as 2.5 years old
(Sullivan, T., DVM) and the oldest was 14.5 years old (Sapienza, J., DVM). Most breeding dogs get
diagnosed at one of their eye tests, called CERF (Canine Eye Registry Foundation), and then go for

sorted in a list of ten that also serve as instructions. First off is the rule that veterans must come first,
not the VA. This is the most important rule. They believe that the care and funding of veteran health
should be the first priority. The second priority refocuses on veteran service for those with disabilities
and specialized needs. The third is the improvement of the VA, or more specifically the improvement
of how the VA work such as dealing with the timing and quality of care. The fourth and fifth priorities
deals with the allowing of choice concerning from who and where the veterans receive their health
care from. They believe the veteran has a right to choose. Following suit, the sixth, seventh, and
eighth priorities again drills upon the Veteran Affairs by suggesting reform on thing such as the
possibilities of health care on their budget, veterans demographics, and the cycle of their standard
operating procedures. They also note that the reform of such things will require bipartisan vision,
courage, and commitment to which they state in their ninth priority and how to implement it. The
tenth but by far not the least important priority is to hold the VA accountable for all

During his time at Bennin home Esther may have helped him some but in the end he needed to
connect to his family someone who knew him before the war. I got up and hugged my uncle he
embraced me harder than he had the first time and kissed my forehead (Beah 172) this shows that
even though he s was a child soldier his uncle still accepts him and want to be there for him. I had
gotten to know my uncle well during our walks and began to eagerly await his arrival on the weekends
(Beah 176) because of the connection he and his uncle made Ishmael starts to open up more and feel
more emotions. The ceremony marks the first stage of a complex program aimed at releasing children
from the LTTE and bringing them back to their families, implemented under the Action Plan approved
by the Government and LTTE in August 2003. Forty nine former child soldiers (27 girls and 22 boys)
have been placed in the transit centre in Kilinochchi in the severely war affected north east of the

Registered Nurse Personal Statement
My interest in nursing began when I was a young girl, being part of a dance group that traveled to
nursing facilities throughout Pennsylvania to bring joy to the elder population. This experience
introduced me to the healthcare field and developed my perception of both the caregiver and patient
experiences. Also, contributing to my interest in the nursing field was caring for my terminally ill
uncle, with my mother, until he passed. Originally, being only 9 years of age, this experience made me
angry and confused, however, gave me motivation to find out more information such as what
treatments we were taking him to, why they didn t cure him, what was cancer, and how does it take a
person s life. Finally, I have always excelled and had a love for science and math, which has assisted
me through achieving my dreams of becoming a registered nurse. These experiences developed a few
main personal traits ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
I successfully passed the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX RN) on my first attempt
and received the opportunity to begin my career in orthopedics, stroke, and trauma at a level one
trauma, acute care community hospital. I am grateful for this opportunity because it allowed me to
apply my personal traits, mentioned previously, along with newly understood knowledge. Over the
last two years I have mastered my time management, prioritization, and delegation skills to care for
my patients and their family s appropriately. My career thus far has allowed me to develop a special
interest in critical care. I love being involved with my patients, providing clinical care, education, and
support through patient centered care. Therefore, my plans after completion of my bachelor s in
science degree in June of 2018 is to complete my critical care registered nurse certification and begin
my journey in a master s in science program to become a nurse

Haunted by the her own memories, Lily Owens finds comfort in the humming of the bees. In the
novel, The Secret Life of Bees, Sue Monk Kidd writes about the life of young girl whose spontaneous
decisions lead her to her mother s past. Lily s life has revolved around the lack of a mother. Her father,
T. Ray, is a harsh and unloving peach farmer who punishes Lily unreasonably and does not fulfil his
father like position. Lily s adventure begins after catching a few bees in a jar. She empathizes with
them as they are stuck and alone, something she understands all too well. On the day of her birthday,
Lily and her negro nanny, Rosaleen, go out into town to register for voting. Rosaleen and Lily are on
their way when a group of white men begin to harass Rosaleen and degrade her for being a negro.
Rosaleen pours her spit jug on the shoes of the man and is given no mercy when she is beaten. With
Rosaleen ending up in jail, Lily returns to the comfort of the bees once again. As she opens the jar and
watches the bees escape, Lily follows suit and flees from home. She breaks Rosaleen out of the
hospital and they hitchhike their way to Tiburon, South Carolina. Lily believes that her mother,
Deborah, had once visited Tiburon and where she had obtained a picture of a Black Madonna. Lily has
spent her whole life looking for new information and connections between herself and her mother.
With luck and fate on her side, Lily finds the home of the Boatwright sisters, the creators of the Black

Physics Of Light And Light
Through the fields incorporating the science of light, astronomers use factors such as wavelengths to
interpret stars temperature, heat, distance, size, mass, density, etc. To obtain all of this information
certain light gathering instruments must be used. These instruments include telescopes. To record this
information spectrographs are also mainly used to record the spectrum and dispersion of light. In light
there are different waves and particles. Light is made up of electric and magnetic fields. Due to this
fact, light is an example of electromagnetic radiation, it is the changing of these fields to travel
through space shifting energy maneuvering from one area to another. Since light is an electromagnetic
wave, each one has a certain wavelength. Telescopes help us to view the visible light of the
electromagnetic spectrum. Most of the electromagnetic spectrum, such as infrared, x rays, ultraviolet,
and gamma rays, don t reach earth s surface to be examined. A telescope in space, above the
atmosphere, however, is said to be diffraction limited. Since the speed of light is constant a
wavelength of radiation of a star can be seen as its frequency. Frequency is recorded based on a certain
number of waves emitted within a brief second.
Optical Telescopes have two types: reflecting and refracting. In 1609, Galileo had developed the first
telescope. From here on out, ideas back then of the geocentric solar system were finally put to rest
through the use of the first

My Brothers Keeper By Eugene Debs
Am I my brothers keeper? What does it mean to be your brothers keeper? What type of man would I
be without my family to support me? In his passage Brothers Keeper Eugene Debs states being our
brothers keeper is not a choice but a moral obligation. People are born and nurtured by loved ones
untill they grow up, but what would happen if those in need werent nurtured. They might not become
an upright member of society, therefore we do need attend their needs Being our brothers keeper will
help us all in the long run. In free time we could help troubled teens, it would set off a chain reaction.
Maybe it could affect one kid, that kid could be the next elon musk, the next person to cure cancer, the
next... but nobody will know untill we try.

  • 3. Bruce Springsteen s Tunnel Of Love Tunnel of Love is unlike any other album that Bruce Springsteen has written. This was an album full of love songs, songs about the ups, downs, trust and loyalty that come with being in a relationship. The Tunnel of love album is drastically different from the previous Nebraska and Born in the U.S.A.; those two albums both talked about the struggles and hardships of the working class, a motif that does not appear in Tunnel of Love. The beat of this album differs greatly from that of Born in the U.S.A. this album isn t as up beat and fun, instead the album is more down beat and sounds somewhat sad. This album as a whole shows us that when someone doesn t understand himself/herself it can hurt his or her relationship, and lead to unfaithfulness. Springsteen refers to marriage in the songs Walk like a Man , Cautious Man , and Spare Parts . Cautious Man is a song about a man who enjoyed his life of solitude and wandering, and always chose the life he was used to over love until one day when a woman caught his attention. He fell in love, and married her soon after meeting her. Bruce Springsteen married American model Julianne Phillips in 1985, after the release of Tunnel of Love. On the album, many of the songs described his unhappiness in the relationship with Phillips, and in 1989 (two years after the release of Tunnel of Love) they got a divorce. Although Bruce Springsteen denies this, many people, including myself, believe that Cautious Man is an autobiographical ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

A classic is something that is Judged over a period to be of the highest quality and outstanding of its kind (kimsunjin, 2013). A classic book is a book accepted as being paradigmatic or prominent, for instance, books like Pride and Prejudice, To Kill a Mockingbird, Of Mice and Men and so forth, are listed in a list of great books. Either through an imprimatur or a reader s opinion. Per Henrik Blidal, Casper Sylvest and Perter Wilson in Classics of international Relations: Essays in criticism and appreciation they define a classic in five key ways; the acknowledged or undisputed classic , the archetypal classic , the classic in the making , the overlooked classic and lastly the Alternative format classic . Kenneth Waltz s neo realist Theory of International Politics is arguably the utmost significant book in International relations, as Jack Donnelly argues it is causing a fundamental discursive transformation and conveying the notion of anarchy to the forefront (Donnelly, n.d.). Similarly, Keohane and Nye s Power and Interdependence re examined the military and economic interests of state and non state actors. The authors widened the dominant realist worldview of the time and contributed to many of the advances in our modern era of globalization. * Waltz s 1979 Theory of International politics fits into the category of the acknowledged or undisputed classics , perhaps because it replaced Morgenthau s ... It s important to choose your artist carefully, since the wrong one could leave you with a variety of bloodborne illnesses, including HIV. Ask around for recommendations and examine your chosen facility with your own eyes before consenting to a piercing procedure. When checking out your potential piercer, here are three things they absolutely need to be: licensed, insured and immaculately clean. With apologies to Meatloaf, two out of three simply isn t good enough when choosing a piercer. Find someone who possesses all three of these qualities before having your piercing done. Licensed When performing a body piercing, it is important for the artist to know where certain nerves and other important anatomical structures are located. Piercing is risky when done improperly, leading many cities to legislate who may and may not perform the procedure. In order to operate legally in these places, a piercing parlor must meet certain health and safety requirements and submit to periodic inspections. Those who comply are issued a license to display so customers know that the facility has been inspected and is in compliance with all of the related laws and safety requirements. If an operating license is not displayed, ask to see one before going any further. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In this paper, I am going to use four different theories to analyze a dream I had. Some of these theories disagree with the other, but in my opinion they all have their strong points. Freud s Theory, the Activation Synthesis Theory, the Problem Solving theory, and the Neurocognitive theory, are the four theories dominating the field right now, and will be the four I will use to further understand my dream. My dream started in a very rural country side, corn growing in fields around me. In the beginning, I was alone standing by an old metal RV. Then, a spaceship landed right in front of the corn fields. A door opened to two creatures I had never seen before; aliens. All of a sudden, I have a little blond girl around the age of 5 or 6 holding my hand looking very scared and my best friend to the left of me. The aliens summoned me over and I walked to them with the little girl. They told me they wanted the girl and in return would bring me fortune. I handed her over to them and they gave me a box. I started walking back to the RV where my friend was, but I stopped and turned around to see the girl walking into the ship, making eye contact with her and feeling immense guilt. But, I turned around and showed my friend the gift that would make me a fortune, which turned out to be an inflatable spaceship photo booth. I was very happy and started to plan the future I ... This group only focuses on alcohol abuse/misuse and not any other types of addiction. The 12 step program used by AA uses a person s spirituality to focus their attention on their higher power and how they might draw strength from it. In the meeting that I attended, the participants concentrated on the first two steps of the 12 step program. The first step, admitting that the person is/was powerless over alcohol, opened my eyes due to the fact that I always had thought that the first step was admitting you have a problem. • 16. The Rationalization of the South African Society Modernity revolves around the rational application of scientific method to certain aspects of life. This could be done through the development of governmental regulations, bureaucratic observation, and the erosion of traditional values (Beck, Lash Giddens, 1997). New thought processes and the increase in the application medicine and technology have played important roles in the concept of rationalism (Bilton et al, 2002). The character of modern society could be defined by rationalism (Macionis Plummer, 2012: 123); this can be clearly seen in the South African rational social organization context from hunter gatherer days to modern day society. An example of this would be how the essence of time has changed within society. In traditional hunter gatherer societies, like The San and Zulu clans , before technological inventions such as the clock was introduced, people used to base their time on the sun and moon s position as well as seasons to allocate their time in regions and activities in order to conduct their livelihood (South Africa African Religions, 1996). However, in modern day society, owing to the clock invention, scheduled activities/events are precisely on the hour and minute (Macionis Plummer, 2012: 123). Thus, modern society has allowed individuals to be more efficient, by limiting time constraints through technology and infrastructure and has greatly improved the livelihoods of people, owing to better healthcare and institutions which affectively address ... Due to Ms. Fisher not being able to attend The University of Texas, she was accepted into Louisiana State University shortly after. At LSU, she filed the lawsuit against the University of Texas to prohibit the university to use race as a factor in the future admission process. Ms. Fisher argued that race or ethnicity should not be a factor in the application process because it is simply unfair. The university responded that using race as a factor is only part of the admission process and is only used to ensure a large diverse group of students. The University of Texas automatically admits students in the top ten percent of high schools in the state. • 18. Willy Loman As A Tragic Hero In the play The Death of a Salesman, written by Arthur Miller, Willy Loman is a very troubled and distraught character. He is an ordinary man with nothing to show for himself. This leads him to a constant internal battle. A tragedy, being defined as, a play dealing with tragic events and having an unhappy ending concerning the downfall of the main character. The Death of A Salesman can be thought of as a tragic play because the main character sets out to achieve something that will inevitably lead to his downfall. While trying to live out a perfect version of the American dream but falling very short. Often, Willy Loman is debated as a tragic hero, a character who makes a judgment error that inevitably leads to their own destruction. When people think of a hero, they automatically turn to kings or people of high nobility. The author, Arthur Miller, believed that the common man makes the best tragic hero. In his essay, Tragedy and The Common Man , Miller argues for Willy Loman by stating, a tragic hero does not need to be of high nobility, it can be in an average person who possesses a tragic flaw . Arthur believed that there were many heroes in the world, and tragedy can affect even the lowest of the classes. A tragic hero often makes the decision to end his life due to his tragic flaw. Willy Loman can be defined as a tragic hero because he exhibits excessive pride, is noble in nature, but imperfect so that the audience can relate to him, and is faced with a very big decision that he has to make. The first characteristic provided by Aristotle is that the hero must exhibit excessive pride. Willy shows this by repeatedly rejecting jobs that are being offered to him and stating that he already is employed. CHARLEY: You want a job? WILLY: I got a job, I told you that. [After a slight pause] What the hell are you offering me a job for? CHARLEY: Don t get insulted. WILLY: Don t insult me. (Act 1). He feels as though the people offering him the job are inferior to him. Nevertheless being laid off several times, he continues to turn down offers. I approached this question with the required knowledge and confidence to solve it immediately. Question 5, NAPLAN (Year 9 non calculator), ACARA (2012) Approach: The approach used to solve this scale was ratio set up in the form of a fraction. Workings: To calculate the ratio, the actual length measurement is divided by the drawing length measurement. The measurements need to be represented in fraction form. The drawing length is 4cm and the actual length is 8mm. Actual length over the drawing length: 8mm/4cm. Simplify this fraction by determining the largest common denominator of both numbers. The largest common denominator of both numbers is 4. 8mm/4cm : 2mm/1cm . Drawing length becomes 1cm and actual length becomes 2mm. The scale is 1cm represents 2mm. Another way to solve this question would be by using data measurement with the mathematical concept of division, using part/whole method. Both shapes were square and would be able to be divided equally. Using the part/whole method and establishing the number four was one of the common denominators for both lengths. DL = 4cm. 4cm ÷ 4 = 1cm : AL = 8mm. 8mm ÷ 4 = 2mm Scale of drawing = 1cm represents 2mm I was confident ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Analysis Of Toni Morrison s Song Of Solomon Victoria Sirianni Ms. Thompson AP ELA 4 21 July 2015 Song of Solomon Producing the plot with a vivid image and motive allowed Toni Morrison to incorporate numerous literary works to enhance the allusions in the story. These specific allusions gave readers a more accurate understanding of certain aspects of the book. As well as this, readers are capable of searching beyond just the surface of what the words say. The common use of biblical references and myths, as well as other notations, provide a more in depth and detailed analyzation throughout the entire novel. To start off, Song of Solomon s title relates to the biblical book of the same name. This emphasizes that the novel addresses more of an old aged theme. The bible based book focuses on a conversation between two lovers and Toni s novel is a celebration of the success of earthly love. Morrison also gives her characters biblical names in order to match them with the well known figures. These characters not only obtain their original history, but the history that their name carries in the Bible, as well. For example, the biblical character, Hagar, is Sarah s handmaiden, who bears Sarah s husband a son and is then banished from his sight. Similar to the previous one mentioned, Morrison s character is often used by Milkman. He takes advantage of everything she has to offer and uses it for his own selfish benefits. • 27. The Pros And Cons Of The Colonization Of Mars If the human race is to continue for another million years, we will have to boldly go where no one has gone before, said Stephen Hawking in 2008. The interplanetary migration of our species has been a stimulating prospect for ages, and, as technology is advancing by the minute, we are only getting closer to its realization. For this prospect, Mars is the sole candidate. There are many reasons why this is so, and there are many reasons as to why we should undergo the colonization of Mars now. But why Mars in particular? Because it is the nearest celestial body that also happens to be very similar to Earth. A day on Mars only forty minutes longer than a day on Earth, which, to plant and animal life, would be familiar. Not only that, but Mars axis tilts similarly to how Earth does, which means that Earth and Mars have similar seasonal patterns. These two aspects would provide colonists familiarity rather than alienation. Not only this, but Mars is the closest planet to Earth that is potentially inhabitable. (Venus is closer to Earth than Mars but highly uninhabitable.) Most interestingly, Mars has sizeable reservoirs of ice mostly beneath its surface, which then could be uprooted and thus usable. No other celestial body within the Sun s liveable boundary (called the Goldilocks zone ) have these conveniences, making Mars the best option for interplanetary habitation. Jesus was the Son of God, the incarnation and human form of God. Therefore God s teachings represent Jesus and vice versa. He created them male and female. Backed up with further passages(Galatians 3:28 and Acts 10:34) we can see the first theological belief in equality. However this also shows that the Bible can be a questionable source for issues such as ordination considering these Genesis passages are reasonably inconsistent. This statement of equality can be questioned as God incarnated himself as a male, Jesus, and resulted in an important argument to signify why only men should fulfil the requirements for Priesthood. • 38. The And Of The Renaissance When describing Giuseppe Arcimboldo s artwork, scholars consistently use one term: bizarre. Indeed, among his most famous paintings are that which feature human faces composed out of food, animals, and household objects. Modern viewers have viewed these composite paintings amusingly. However, there is more depth and context to Arcimboldo s art than simply to serve as forms of entertainment. Research suggests Arcimboldo masked social critiques and political messages in his paintings, which were reflective of the ongoing intellectual currents of the Renaissance. As best put by Thomas DaCosta Kaufmann, Arcimboldo s paintings can be seen not as bizarre fancies, but as the expression of the complicated intellectual world of the late sixteenth century (Elhard 117). Therefore, this paper will examine Arcimboldo s background as an artist, analyses of his composite paintings, and the relationship his artwork had to Renaissance scholarship. Although it is present in crossbreds, the disease still mainly affects Golden Retrievers. This is a genetic disease that affects the eye, and the eye only. Uveitis is an inflammation of the uveal tract, which includes the iris (Golden Retriever Uveitis). PU is usually diagnosed around the age of 8.6 years. Which means if they were breeding dogs, they would have already passed it on to their offspring. Originally, being only 9 years of age, this experience made me angry and confused, however, gave me motivation to find out more information such as what treatments we were taking him to, why they didn t cure him, what was cancer, and how does it take a person s life. • 47. Physics Of Light And Light Through the fields incorporating the science of light, astronomers use factors such as wavelengths to interpret stars temperature, heat, distance, size, mass, density, etc. To obtain all of this information certain light gathering instruments must be used. These instruments include telescopes. To record this information spectrographs are also mainly used to record the spectrum and dispersion of light. In light there are different waves and particles. Light is made up of electric and magnetic fields. Due to this fact, light is an example of electromagnetic radiation, it is the changing of these fields to travel through space shifting energy maneuvering from one area to another. Since light is an electromagnetic wave, each one has a certain wavelength. Telescopes help us to view the visible light of the electromagnetic spectrum. Most of the electromagnetic spectrum, such as infrared, x rays, ultraviolet, and gamma rays, don t reach earth s surface to be examined. A telescope in space, above the atmosphere, however, is said to be diffraction limited. Since the speed of light is constant a wavelength of radiation of a star can be seen as its frequency. Frequency is recorded based on a certain number of waves emitted within a brief second. Optical Telescopes have two types: reflecting and refracting. In 1609, Galileo had developed the first telescope. From here on out, ideas back then of the geocentric solar system were finally put to rest through the use of the first ...
