relevance, or it needs to change and be able to become a powerful voice again. I think that what the
theatre needs is already available and in the theatre, but not used correctly. I feel that children are

Commission (SAC). This proposal would, if made into law, deregulate 14,568 respiratory therapists
(RTs) currently employed in Texas (Gaebler 6). This would mean that RTs along with 18 other
programs would not have to hold a state license to practice their craft (Sunset 52). Deregulation may
sound like a good idea on paper, however in practice, it is anything but. The potential negative
outcomes in the form of patient harm and possible death would far outweigh any benefit. Deregulation
of respiratory therapists in Texas began in the government as a proposal, was fought against by those
who say the potential danger in the idea, then ended back in the government with a compromise that
was written into law. In May of 2014, the SAC released a report. This report states that the
commission felt that RTs along with several other professions should no longer be regulated by an
agency of the government called the Department of State Health Services (DSHS) (52). One of the
many responsibilities of the DSHS is providing state licensure to individuals of various job disciplines

The C S H gel is the most abundant reaction product in cement, occupying about half of the paste
volume, it is also responsible for most of the properties of cement paste. This is just not because it is a
strong or stable phase but because it forms a continuous layer that binds the cement particles together.
All the other hydration products of cement form discrete crystals that are naturally strong but do not
have good connections to the solid phases they are in contact with hence cannot contribute much to
the overall strength of the cement paste. C S H gel gets the ability of the to act as a binding phase from
its nanometer level structure.
As C S H gel grows outward from the cement particles, it does not form a single large block or
monolithic solid phase but instead develops a complex internal system of tiny pores, called gel pores.
Gel pores are hundreds or thousands of times smaller than the original capillary pores which are
relatively large. The liquid water present in the gel pores is not part of the solid C S H phase
chemically but it is physically isolated, thus it cannot undergo any further chemical reaction with the
