INTRODUCTION
 There is increasing demand for smart homes,where
appliances react automatically to changing
environmental conditions.
 Can be easily controlled through one common
device.
 The possible solution the user controls devices by
employing a FPGA(Field Programmable Gate
Array).
What is Home Automation?
 Home automation involves computerised or
automatic control of some electronic and electronics
systems.
 The lightining, temperature, etc., can be controlled by
the remote mobile host controller.
 These devices communicate wirelessly through the
bluetooth with the host device.
BLOCK DIAGRAM
ARDUINO UNO
● Arduino is a popular open-source single-board
microcontroller.
● Arduino is the micro controller board based on
Atmega328.
● Arduino is a hardware can be programmed using a
wiring-based language(similar to C++).
● It has 14 digit input/output pins of which 6 can be
used as PWM output.
● It works with 16M Hz crystal oscillator.
● It has in built boot loader.
● Official Arduinos have used the AtmegaAVR series of
chips, specifically the ATmega8,ATmega168, ATmega328,
ATmega1280, and ATmega2560.
● A handful of other processors have been used by Arduino
compatibles.
● Most boards include a 5volt linear regulator and a 16MHz
crystal oscillator.
● Although some designs such as the LilyPad run at 8MHz
and dispense with the onboard voltage regulator due to
specific form-factor restrictions.
SPECIFICATIONS

 Operating voltage : 5V
 Digital I/O pins : 14(6 provide PWM output)
 Analog pins : 6
 Flash memory : 32Kb of which 0.5kB is used for boot
loader.
 SRAM : 2Kb
 Clock speed : 16MHz
 EEPROM : 1Kb
HC 05 BLUETOOTH MODULE
●HC-05 module is an easy to use Bluetooth SPP (Serial Port
Protocol) module. designed for transparent wireless serial
connection setup.
●Serial port Bluetooth module is fully qualified Bluetooth
V2.0+EDR (Enhanced Data Rate) 3Mbps Modulation with
complete 2.4GHz radio transceiver and baseband.
●It uses CSR Bluecore 04-External single chip Bluetooth system
with CMOS technology and with AFH(Adaptive Frequency
Hopping Feature).
●It has the footprint as small as 12.7mmx27mm. Hope it will
simplify your overall design/development cycle

● Typical-80dB sensitivity
● Up to +4dBm RF transmit power
● Low Power 1.8V Operation ,1.8 to 3.6V I/O
● PIO control
● UART interface with programmable baud rate
● With integrated antenna
● With edge connector
DRIVER CIRCUIT(L293DNE)
●The L293DNE are quadruple high-current half-H drivers.
●The L293 is designed to provide bidirectional drive currents of
up to 1 A at voltages from 4.5 V to 36V.
●The L293 is designed to provide bidirectional drive currents of
up to 600-mA at voltages from 4.5 V to 36 V.
● Both devices are designed to drive inductive loads such as
relays, solenoids, dc and bipolar stepping motors, as well as other
high-current/high-voltage loads in positive-supply applications.

ADVANTAGES:
 The main advantage of “home automation using
android application” is to “Physicaly challanged and
disabled persons ”.
 They are mainly used in the smart home applications.
 The wireless tehnology is especialy use to inter
connect the infrastructure to control.
 It could be suitably used in the home automation in
low cost .
 The overall system is fast enough to realise the true
power in wireless technology.
APPLICATIONS:
 As there is an increse in demand of smart homes,
where appliances react automaticaly to the change in
the environment.
 This wireless technology is especially usefull in home
environment .
 Where exist hardly any infrastructure to inter connect
intelligent appliances .
CONCLUSION:
 Home automation is undeniably a resource which
can be home environment automated.
 People can control their electrical devices via these
home automation devices and setup controlling
actions through mobile.
 In future these product may have high potential for
marketing.
