Civil War Short Story
It was a day like any other, it started with the sun rising above the hills and the light reflecting off of
the dew on the grass. However, everything would soon change, when four warriors unlikely to have
ever met, come together to face a group of men terrorizing a city. The warriors were Deallus and his
friend Ffyddlon, Unig, and Cyfiawn. They all had heard of a group of men terrorizing the city of
Tynged, they went on a killing spree every night. Each warrior had their own reason for going to the
city to face these terrible men. For Deallus and Ffyddlon, it was for the adventure. For Unig it was out
of guilt, his entire village had been destroyed and he was the last of his people. The last one, Cyfiawn
came for justice for he was a righteous ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
As soon as they entered the men attacked, Wyneb Coch had a face red with fury and swiftly attacked
Cyfiawn trying to stab him but failing because Cyfiawn was prepared and deflected the attack.
Ffyddlon and Deallus were attacked by Seico who only had a dagger but was a great fighter, Deallus
tried to fight him but Seico overpowered him. Ffyddlon saw the attack and lunged in front of Deallus,
and ended up getting stabbed in the side. Realizing what had just happened, in a fit of rage Deallus
sliced Seico s head clean off. He then rushed over to Ffyddlon mumbling words of encouragement, he
then placed pressure on the wound to stop the bleeding, he ripped part of his shirt and tied it around
Ffyddlon s waist. When Ffyddlon had enough strength he stood up and was ready to fight again. He
was a very strong man who had endured a lot worse in previous battles. Unig was attacked by Wallgof
who had been in so many battles he went mad. Wallgof did not have any weapons and Unig deemed
that unfair so he threw his sword away and settled to hand to hand combat. Unig was clearly the better
but hated to resort to violence, but he reasoned with himself that this man had killed people and
overpowered him and with one swift blow to the head, rendered him unconscious. He then got some
rope he had packed and tied his hands and feet. When Unig got up he realized Cyfiawn was still
fighting Wyneb Coch, he called for Ffyddlon and Deallus and

How Does Holden Use Symbols In Catcher In The Rye
Often in a novel, symbols and motifs are used to give major characters an identity and a complex
personality, while letting us in on their thoughts. In The Catcher in the Rye, J.D Salinger uses symbols
to create Holden s intricate character and to let us understand him. This essay will talk about how
Salinger uses symbols in order to depict Holden s character and his thoughts.
Karl Marx stated Religion is the sigh of the oppressed creature, the heart of a heartless world, and the
soul of soulless conditions. It is the opium of the people (Karl Marx Quotes) in his famous work,
Deutsch Französische Jahrbücher. This excerpt perfectly depicts Holden s views and thoughts on
Religion and The Nuns. Holden has the illusory superiority complex and ... Show more content on

This is because Holden senses an barrier between him and the nuns which makes him feel isolated and
depressed [3]. These barrier are created by difference in lifestyle. Holden had already addressed
interpersonal barriers and people trying to find common ground to shorten the distance and avoid
ostracization with people, when he talks about Arthur Childs persistently trying to find whether
Holden was Christian or not. Trying to reconcile the interpersonal barrier between the nuns, Holden
donated money to the nuns. This feeling of guilt and sympathy for The Nuns, show that Holden has

Israelites Rebellion Against God
In the midst of the Israelites forty year journey towards the Promise Land of Canaan, Moses records
the Israelites persistent complaining and rebellion against God. Numbers 21:4 9 first mentions the
complaint of the Israelites against God and Moses, questioning God s plan for them, as they travel in
the desert without food and water. We are disgusted with this wretched food, they say. This wretched
food refers to the manna or the bread from heaven, as mentioned in Exodus 16:4, that God
miraculously provided for the Israelites when food supplies ran out during their forty years of desert
wandering. In spite of God s abundant goodness, they grumbled at Him about their circumstances. In
punishment for the Israelites doing, the Lord sent

analysis of wine data
Data Mining to model Wine Preferences Final Project Abstract: To sustain its immense growth in the
last decade, the wine industry has started investing in new technologies that assists superior wine
making and efficient selling processes. This paper proposes how data mining techniques can be used
to predict human wine preferences. The Wine dataset addressed in this paper was collected between

Colorado Legalization And The Netherlands Drug Policy
Colorado Legalization and The Netherlands Drug Policy
Amanda McKeel
Monmouth University
Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to discuss the legalization of marijuana in Colorado as well as the
Netherlands drug policy. It has been found that even though Colorado has legalized marijuana, there
are provisions that must be followed. The Netherlands however have not legalized marijuana, but they
do feel that seeing possession of marijuana is not a crime, so therefore marijuana is tolerated.
Colorado s society does not agree with this legalization due to adolescent use, however the Colorado
Amendment 64 protects this. The Netherlands is seen as too liberal, but they are only doing what is in
the best interest of the users. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The main question is, with marijuana being legalized in Colorado and tolerated in the Netherlands,
what is the affect of such legalization?
The legalization of marijuana, for some, is not something to take lightly, but I do not think it is the
worst drug. In my own opinion heroin and cocaine are two drugs that should not be legal because of
the harmful effects they cause. Marijuana, in my own opinion is the lesser of the two evils, so if states
and countries want to legalize it, they can do what they please. Now I know some people would
disagree with me on this, but everyone is entitled to their own opinions. I would rather see marijuana
legalized then heroin or cocaine.
Colorado
Colorado s legalization of marijuana began in 2000 with the Colorado Amendment 20. According to
Davis, Mendelson, berkes, Suleta, Corsi Booth (2015) the Colorado Amendment 20 legalized cannabis
for medical use only. Even though this was true however, not just anybody was allowed to obtain
marijuana. Any person wishing to obtain cannabis had to have a condition that was debilitating.
Debilitating conditions approved by the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment
(CDPHE) and included in Amendment 20 are cancer, glaucoma, HIV or AIDS, cachexia, severe pain,
severe nausea, seizures, muscle spasms, and any other condition approved by CDPHE (Davis et.al,
2015, p.1). This Amendment lasted for nine years and in 2009, anyone was allowed to obtain medical
cannabis. There was no

The Pestle Analysis Of Pestle Analysis
P.E.S.T.L.E Analysis
The PESTLE analysis is used to analyse the current and future predicaments of an industry that the
organisation or business belongs to, thus helping to provide better strategic planning whilst gaining
competitive superiority over competition. Significance of the factors that are included in the PESTLE
analysis can vary depending on the market, organisation or business. For example:
Businesses or organisations that are in the tourism industry may feel that environmental factors within
the analysis have more importance than economic, whereas companies or organisations in the
financial sector may prioritise economic or political factors over environmental.

The Importance Of Communication Skills At Work
Communication
Throughout the workplace communication and grammar is high priority. Some bosses won t even hire
people that don t have good grammar. In the WaPo article Why Can t College Graduates Write
Coherent Prose? , he states that good writers are hard to find these days and employers are in need of
good writers. People fail to realize how important good communication skills are regardless of what
career they are trying to pursue. Communication solves many problems and helps avoid confusion;
good grammar and communication skills will set a better pathway to success.
Grammar and communication at work is more critical than we think. Having good grammar will help
us be better prepared to achieve our goals. While reading Susan Adam s article Why Grammar Counts
at Work , I picked up on a few of her main reasons why having good grammar at work is crucial. She
states that having good grammar will prevent important writings from being static or dull. Another
main reason was that good grammar will help manifest how organized one can be with their intentions
and thoughts. She implies that we are most likely master our work if our sentences are organized and
structured, which ties back to her original statement of organization helping with our intentions and
thoughts. In addition to those reasons she gives us another reason why having good grammar is
important, it will help avoid sloppy work. Bosses are looking for people who take notice of what they
are writing down on paper;

2008 Juvenile Crime
According to the National Criminal Justice Reference Service article Juvenile Arrests
2008 on the bulletin by Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP), juvenile
crime in 2008 showed a decline from recent years. Crime data is gathered annually and reported to the
FBI s Uniform Crime Reporting (UCR) Program by local law enforcement agencies across the nation
and 2008 marked the first decline in juvenile crime since 2004.
Juvenile crime is defined as crime committed by persons under the age of 18. Although juvenile crime
in 2008 had increased in a few categories such as property crime it had decreased in most.
Criminal offenses are categorized under violent crime index (murder, manslaughter, forcible rape,
robbery, aggravated ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
According to the article, juvenile arrests in 2008 disproportionally involved more minorities than
whites. Data of 2008 indicated that 52% of juvenile violent crime index arrests and 33% of juvenile
property crime index arrests involved black youth even though they only make 16% of the youth
population ages 10 17 in the U.S. 47% of the same crime index involved white youth which makes up
78% of the U.S. population ages 10 17. Hispanic youth was included under white racial group.
Keeping track of crime through the FBI s UCR Program can be an effective tool to measure trends in
juvenile crime and reduce delinquency among our youth. For instance, data gathered can help law
enforcement agencies allocated funds to programs aimed to curtail rising crime in certain areas and
hire more staff where it s needed. On the flipside, the same data can help law enforcement agencies
notice what programs or what is not working in the fight against juvenile delinquency. Also, the same
data can also help address social issues such as the juvenile arrests disproportionately involved
minorities and female

Advanced Persistent Threat At Sony Picture Entertainment (...
Introduction According to lecture note and presentation from Dr. Tamir Bechor on October 21, 2016,
advanced persistent threat: (i) pursues its objectives repeatedly over an extended period of time; (ii)
adapts to defenders efforts to resist it; and (iii) is determined to maintain the level of interaction
needed to execute its objectives. (Bechor, 2016) These objectives include building and strengthening
its harmful system within an organization infrastructure in order to disrupt activities, obstruct normal
operations, and extract sensitive information. Hence, this paper will clarify how advanced persistent
threats (APTs) were achieved in the Sony Picture Entertainment (SPE) breach. In addition, examine
the characteristics of the SPE threat level and adversary level relating to the threat actors capabilities,
intent, and targets. Moreover, review why SPE previous security vulnerabilities and weaknesses or
significant investments didn t benefit to detect or prevent this breach. (Bechor, 2016)
Advanced Persistent Threat (APT) One attribute of APT refers to the continuous attacks from threat
actors to penetrate SPE infrastructure. Although the attack on Sony Corporation in 2011 to its network
might not have been related to this incident in 2014, it has been proven the hackers behind the SPE
attack exploited a previously undisclosed or unknown [Zero Day] vulnerability in its computer
systems that gave them unlimited access to the entirety of SPE s network. (Bechor,

What Is The Poem The Birds Poem
The poem I am reviewing is The birds by Nanos Valaoritis; It was published in 1972. Valaoritis tells a
story about a boy and his father. The son hears and sees things, but the father lies and says that it is
only something else, only trying to move his son s attention away from the birds as the birds roam
home to home. What what is the birds symbolizes? As though I had read the poem the birds many of
times there is one thing that catches my eye is: what do the birds mean? what it means for the poem

rain, my son now sleep and tomorrow you shall watch the islands glittering on the sea or when the son
sees lights through the window panes and a large ship going to them but the father puts it off like
nothing and say for his son to go back to sleep. The Son; The boy is someone who starts off curious
about what s going on outside, then asks his father to explain what they are then slowly day by day
knows what is happening. Then on the day the birds came in he is scared and doesn t want to be alone.
I got this from when the son says Leave me not alone, my father, For the window panes, are cracking

Some of these considerations include whether or whether not the patient should be put into the
questioning/assessment at that specific moment in time. Another consideration includes being able to
have an idea of what test the client will need based on what they have told you before the assessment
starts. By doing this you will lower the number of assessments that you would have to choose from.
Another consideration would be taking more than one test to see if you get the same result as you did
in the pervious test. Several factors should be considered before choosing an assessment instrument,
including the purpose of the assessment, type of assessment outcomes, methodology, resource
availability, and audience expectations (Bresciani, Zelna, Anderson, 2004; Palomba Banta, 1999;
Schuh Upcraft, 2001). You must know the best outcome to suit the client and the client s problems.
With doing this it will help the patient be more comfortable in the environment in which, will help
with the answers you may get from the individual during the assessment. If you do this it may help
with the overall performance of the client and also give you an accurate

The And The Industrial Man
Since the founding of America, no singular method of governmental role has been adopted. The
concept of governmental role in American society is a subjective point. While some believe in a strong
government that controls and expands its role over many aspects of American society, others believe
that limiting government power is necessary to having a thriving society and economy. Clark Kerr
wrote the document Industrialism and the Industrial Man which highlights and explains the
perspective of having a centralized government in power. Contrastingly, Capitalism and Freedom,
written by Milton Friedman is in support of a limited government and placing a check on concentrated
power. Both documents reflect the two different styles of government and provide context to their
functions and the application of their duties. In Industrialism and the Industrial Man, Clark Kerr
depicts the concept of an industrial society characterized by a government that has a wide range of
activities and functions it controls. In this industrial society, the government provides and controls
technology, infrastructure, urban development, military, international relations, education, parks,
healthcare, and many other services to society. The government also keeps order of the economy,
controlling the labor and product markets. Even though this big government has many functions and
controls a large sector of society, Kerr explains that the freedom and personal liberty of the people will

Genetic Based Diagnostic Patents
Introduction Technology enriches our society by making widely available new and useful goods,
services, and technical information . Clearly, as a society, we would want to encourage the
development of technology so that we can reap the benefits they offer us. Innovators require an
incentive to invent and share these technologies with the rest of society. This incentive is achieved by
granting intellectual property rights (IPR) to inventors . More specifically, the incentive is usually
achieved by granting patents to inventors . Patents are governed under a Federal statute in Canada, the
Patent Act . The act sets out the criteria that an invention must meet in order to be patentable , as well

Classic liberalism is a political ideology that advocates limited government constitutionalism, rule of

European states ended the Thirty Years War with the Peace of Westphalia (1648), which laid the

Orwell s, Animal Farm conveys the concepts like loyalty can be rewarded, all power corrupts and fear

Jon Krakauer
In his work Into The Wild , Jon Krakauer writes about a young man who escaped on an expedition to
invent a new life for himself. However, the reasons why he decides to partake on such journey raises
many questions because Christopher McCandless lives a life of valuable possessions which his
rejection of his economic class to disperse in a cultural background of nature steers Krakauer decision
to report his story. Krakauer believes that a young man with a great amount of opportunities must have
a logical reasons to abandon all the achievements and most importantly his family to live in the

dissuade him on his hitchhiking scheme I said the hunting wasn t easy where he was going, that he

Rosellini, Waterman and McCunn only fails krakauer intention of portraying McCandless as a man
who was different and had reasons to what he did. Krakauer writes on page 85 There are similarities
among Rosellini, Waterman, McCunn and McCandless, like Rosellini and Waterman McCandless was
a seeker and had an impractical fascination with the harsh side of nature. Krakauer s intention is to
gain sympathy for McCandless and most importantly to not regard to McCandles as an idiot because
there are other believers like him, however this idea only makes him more of an idiot because Alex is

Voter Registration And Voter Id Laws
Recently state and federal legislators have been discussing voter identification laws, also known as
voter ID laws. This issue is controversial because it can lead states to deny voters a vote without an
approved ID. On one hand, some supporters of ID laws argue that these laws are preventing criminals
from committing fraud. From this perspective, the laws are protecting the value of a vote and what it
means to actually participate in an election vote. On the other hand, however, people argue that by
placing the restriction on voting it is impeding the people constitutional rights much like a poll tax.
Opponents also claim that by enforcing an ID law it is creating a poll tax similar to the ones created to
prevent the African American people from voting. A poll tax is a specific amount a person is charged
before being able to place a vote; the comparison between a poll tax and a driver s license fee is like
comparing apples and oranges, when getting a driver s license a person is using their license as their
main form of ID. Poll taxes were outlaw in the 1960s by the 24th amendment.
In the words of Cathy Cohen, one of the main opponents of voter ID, Voter turnout among young
people may be significantly reduced because of these laws (Frisby). According the view of Cohen, she
does not account for the young people who do not intend to vote, not because of the laws but because
of laziness, lack of interest, and outright apathy. The late United States president John F. Kennedy

Partisan Policing
In the early stages of the development of policing in the United States there were a lot of issues,
concerns and problems with how police forces functioned through the entire country. All these Issues
were noticed and changes within police departments began to take place. Before any changes were
implemented American Police Departments fell directly under the influence of each state specific
partisan government. Fortunately, America was able to stray away from the corruptions of how police
officers were selected into their position because of their political preferences and also, how
departments functioned, and other exploitations from law enforcement agencies throughout the

in charge of selecting police would only select members in favor of their specific political party. They
would do this because they favored certain people to fill the role of a police officer who shared the

politicians were in charge of choosing whom they wanted to fill these roles they were also able to
obstruct the management and effected how departments operated. It was considered that there was no
consistency or efficiency within divisions and the primary focus of the police force was corruption

Critical Analysis Of Oedipus The King
Critical Analysis: Oedipus the King Oedipus the King is a tragic play showing a shift from the belief
of fate to freedom of choice. Therefore, Oedipus the king is a great example of those who run from
fate ends up fulfilling their fate After reading this type of tragic play Oedipus the King written by
Sophocles you can see that the author did a very outstanding form of presenting a tragedy that has the
characteristics of mimesis and a tragic hero. Specifically, the writer written the play that would leave
many readers to be able to relate to and have a character whom characteristics are noble and basically

uncovered the riddles of his life and found out that he was the boy born of Laius and Jocasta who was
the subject of the prophecy. His intelligence, pride and confidence led to this discovery, which resulted
in him losing everything that he had which in the end he fulfilled his fate. The most crucial point in
the play Oedipus the king was the fact that Oedipus was completely unaware that he killed his own
father. He had a mission to find out who was his father s killer. Effectively the more Oedipus was
motivated and with his excessive confidence in knowing the truth of who killed his father, the play
began to unravel and starts to fit together like the pieces of a puzzle that Oedipus was known for
figuring out. The more he pushed in finding who his father killer was the more he was towards his
reality of terror. The place where three roads meet was the place where Laius was killed and the place
where Oedipus, himself had killed a man. He thought his father was a man named Polypus, the king of
Corinth yet a man had shouted out at a banquet that he was not his father s son. He was given a
apprehension of a future great with pain, terror, disaster...You are fated to couple with your mother,

Essay on The Arabic Invasion
Early history of Islam is marked by a remarkable political will to consolidate the fragmented tribes of
the Arabian Peninsula. Accordingly, it emerged a unified polity and administration, first under Prophet
Muhammad and then the first Caliph Abu Bakr that set the stage for the early Arab conquests. The
conquests continued unabated during the reigns of Caliphs Omar and Othman, and then by the
Umayyads and the Abbasids and other Muslim dynasties that established strong centers of power in
the world. By the 11th century AD, the Islamic society could boast of a number of cultural and
technical centers of leaning with eminent scholars of all the known disciplines of the time. Thus, when

The Church was also vibrant but largely in acquiring lands for donor s salvation, to the extent that by
the end of Carolingian era, over one third of the land of Gaul belonged to the church. The Arabic
culture, politics, and economy influenced Europe tremendously. The Arabic conquest of Spain shows a
great example for its succession. The kingdom of Al Andalus displayed political centralism; it became
an important location for trade It is also true that conquering armies too are affected by the culture of
the conquered lands. The Abbasid period also witnessed the Muslim Agriculture Revolution and the
Scientific Revolution during the reigns of al Mansur 9754 775, Harun Al Rashid 786 809 and Al

developing intercontinental empire they adapted at a large scale. They tried and benefitted liberally
from Babylonian, Hellenic, Roman, Persian, Indian and Egyptian civilizations. The rich heritage thus
gathered was judged and reinterpreted in the light of contemporary demand and they never shied away
from experimenting and upgrading. They updated math to calculate inheritance and taxes, made

The Aviation Industry Impact The Environment
One of the first things to know about the way the aviation industry impacts the environment is it is
different from other sources of emissions. According to a FAA report, aircraft s btu/passenger mile
(energy intensity) is 2,654 in 2012. This is an 24.3% improvement from the 3,505 btu/passenger miles
in 2004. It is also improving faster compared to automobiles btu/passenger mile of 8.8% improvement
(FAA, 2015). In aviation, most of its pollutants are distributed at high altitudes. However, this can still
be hazardous to the environment because aircraft emissions above 3,000 feet can cause up to five
times more health impacts than emissions below 3,000 (Steven Barrett, Ian A. Waitz, 2009 2010). A
widely studied area in the impacts aviation has is researching air quality. There are two areas which
have been getting a lot of attention and becoming more important relating to air quality. The first area
is known as fine particulate matter (PM). PM is known as an air pollutant containing tiny particles
floating in the air, sometimes creating a foggy, hazy look in the air. Compared to NOx, another
compound found in emissions, PM is known to be a greater impact (Waitz, Townsend, Cutcher
Gershenfeld, Greitzer, Kerrebrock, 2004). One challenge the aviation industry is trying to overcome is
measuring the PM caused by aircraft and PM caused by outside factors non aviation related. There are
currently no uniformly accepted methods for measuring both the PM and PM precursors from

Land Ethic Summary
Chapter four introduces the interdependent sequence of ethics. Ethics deals with the relation between
people, and the relation between the person and society in order to integrate social organization to
people. We then begin to question what is incorporated into society. Individuals are a members of an
interdependent community described as land ethic. Land ethic includes waters, plants, soils, and
animals as part of the community. Land ethic implies respect to fellow members and the community.
Individuals are part of a community of interconnected parts that whose resources that we depend on in
our daily lives. This ethic is introducing a theory that even though we depend on nature and have the
ability to use technology to capture, store, and use its resources, does not mean we should simply
continue to dominate over nature, raping it of its essence because in the end it affects our community
as well. Even though land ethic cannot change the use of these resources but it supports their right to
continue their existence in a natural state. Even though humanity can conquer the land does not make
humans any less of a dependent member ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

dominance over these two are socially accepted.People need to be reminded that we are all connected

The Legal System Of The Law
The law is worldwide; it affects almost every aspect of our everyday lives and also has an impact on
every individual. There are many types of laws such as laws that deal with crimes and laws that
govern activities within the community; there are also specific laws in certain portions of the legal
system. Laws are made in order to give us rules of conduct that protect everyone s individual rights
(Canada Department of Justice). How law is dealt with is seen to vary throughout different countries
for the reason that each country contains different laws that are based to fit their culture and customs.
However, when law is dealt with, regardless of the area it is enforced in; if the crime of the accused is
serious enough it will go through a trial system which is also seen to vary depending on the country. A
trial system is the process of examining a case in the court of law and deciding if an individual is
innocent or guilty of what they are being accused for (Macmillan dictionary). Trial systems are an
important part of the legal system for the reason that everyone is entitled to the right of a fair trial
procedure which allows the individual that is being accused to be determined innocent or guilty
through the rule of law so that if the individual is in fact innocent then there will be no consequences
and all will be forgotten and if guilty they will be dealt with properly. Trials are held accordingly
depending on the trial system that is being used in that particular court

Soon this idea began to be tested in laboratories, but being this was related to subject of
bioengineering, different viewpoints arose very quickly. The subject of bioengineering composes of
multiple views concerning particularly the cost and accessibility to bioengineering of these drugs and
if the effort put in would equal the benefits. When looking at this it is evident that much more research
and testing would need to be put in this field before true consideration for use in the pharmaceutical
world. From there it is critical that a standard must be set for the production of all enzymes used in
this process, making sure they are produced in abundance to ensure stability. Concerning the cost it is
evident that production of this drug through chemoenzymatic means compares similarly to that of
through pig intestines. Moreover the more steadfast way of producing heparin through chinese
hamster ovary cells (CHOs) would most likely greatly exceed production through pig intestines. This
would make CHOs used more in designer Heparin doses (Vaidyanathan, 2017). Other methods show
some progress as well but they unfortunately present numerous challenges most likely impossible to

In the bible it tells us this, When man began to multiply on the face of the land and daughters were
born to them, the sons of God saw that the daughters of man were attractive. And they took as their
wives any they chose. Then the Lord said, My Spirit shall not abide in man forever, for he is flesh: his
days shall be 120 years. The Nephilim were on the earth in those days, and also afterward, when the
sons of God came in to the daughters of man and they bore children to them. These were the mighty
men who were of old, the men of renown (Genesis,6). This is where the Lord talks about the
Nephilim, they were hybrids, half human and half demon. When Satan was casted down to Earth, his
followers were thrown down with him. They then mixed their DNA with the DNA of a human,
creating what is known as the Nephilim. And there was again war at Gath, where there was a man of
great stature, who had six fingers on each hand, and six toes on each foot, twenty four in number, and
he also was descended from the giants (2 Samuel,21:20). This is where we see great strength of this

  • 2. Civil War Short Story It was a day like any other, it started with the sun rising above the hills and the light reflecting off of the dew on the grass. However, everything would soon change, when four warriors unlikely to have ever met, come together to face a group of men terrorizing a city. The warriors were Deallus and his friend Ffyddlon, Unig, and Cyfiawn. They all had heard of a group of men terrorizing the city of Tynged, they went on a killing spree every night. Each warrior had their own reason for going to the city to face these terrible men. For Deallus and Ffyddlon, it was for the adventure. For Unig it was out of guilt, his entire village had been destroyed and he was the last of his people. The last one, Cyfiawn came for justice for he was a righteous ... As soon as they entered the men attacked, Wyneb Coch had a face red with fury and swiftly attacked Cyfiawn trying to stab him but failing because Cyfiawn was prepared and deflected the attack. Ffyddlon and Deallus were attacked by Seico who only had a dagger but was a great fighter, Deallus tried to fight him but Seico overpowered him. Ffyddlon saw the attack and lunged in front of Deallus, and ended up getting stabbed in the side. Realizing what had just happened, in a fit of rage Deallus sliced Seico s head clean off. He then rushed over to Ffyddlon mumbling words of encouragement, he then placed pressure on the wound to stop the bleeding, he ripped part of his shirt and tied it around Ffyddlon s waist. When Ffyddlon had enough strength he stood up and was ready to fight again. He was a very strong man who had endured a lot worse in previous battles. Unig was attacked by Wallgof who had been in so many battles he went mad. Wallgof did not have any weapons and Unig deemed that unfair so he threw his sword away and settled to hand to hand combat. Unig was clearly the better but hated to resort to violence, but he reasoned with himself that this man had killed people and overpowered him and with one swift blow to the head, rendered him unconscious. He then got some rope he had packed and tied his hands and feet. When Unig got up he realized Cyfiawn was still fighting Wyneb Coch, he called for Ffyddlon and Deallus and ... • 3. How Does Holden Use Symbols In Catcher In The Rye Often in a novel, symbols and motifs are used to give major characters an identity and a complex personality, while letting us in on their thoughts. In The Catcher in the Rye, J.D Salinger uses symbols to create Holden s intricate character and to let us understand him. This essay will talk about how Salinger uses symbols in order to depict Holden s character and his thoughts. Karl Marx stated Religion is the sigh of the oppressed creature, the heart of a heartless world, and the soul of soulless conditions. It is the opium of the people (Karl Marx Quotes) in his famous work, Deutsch Französische Jahrbücher. This excerpt perfectly depicts Holden s views and thoughts on Religion and The Nuns. This is because Holden senses an barrier between him and the nuns which makes him feel isolated and depressed [3]. These barrier are created by difference in lifestyle. Trying to reconcile the interpersonal barrier between the nuns, Holden donated money to the nuns. Israelites Rebellion Against God In the midst of the Israelites forty year journey towards the Promise Land of Canaan, Moses records the Israelites persistent complaining and rebellion against God. Numbers 21:4 9 first mentions the complaint of the Israelites against God and Moses, questioning God s plan for them, as they travel in the desert without food and water. We are disgusted with this wretched food, they say. This wretched food refers to the manna or the bread from heaven, as mentioned in Exodus 16:4, that God miraculously provided for the Israelites when food supplies ran out during their forty years of desert wandering. • 6. Colorado Legalization And The Netherlands Drug Policy Colorado Legalization and The Netherlands Drug Policy Amanda McKeel Monmouth University Abstract The purpose of this paper is to discuss the legalization of marijuana in Colorado as well as the Netherlands drug policy. It has been found that even though Colorado has legalized marijuana, there are provisions that must be followed. The Netherlands however have not legalized marijuana, but they do feel that seeing possession of marijuana is not a crime, so therefore marijuana is tolerated. Colorado s society does not agree with this legalization due to adolescent use, however the Colorado Amendment 64 protects this. The Netherlands is seen as too liberal, but they are only doing what is in the best interest of the users. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The main question is, with marijuana being legalized in Colorado and tolerated in the Netherlands, what is the affect of such legalization? The legalization of marijuana, for some, is not something to take lightly, but I do not think it is the worst drug. In my own opinion heroin and cocaine are two drugs that should not be legal because of the harmful effects they cause. Marijuana, in my own opinion is the lesser of the two evils, so if states and countries want to legalize it, they can do what they please. Now I know some people would disagree with me on this, but everyone is entitled to their own opinions. I would rather see marijuana legalized then heroin or cocaine. Colorado Colorado s legalization of marijuana began in 2000 with the Colorado Amendment 20. According to Davis, Mendelson, berkes, Suleta, Corsi Booth (2015) the Colorado Amendment 20 legalized cannabis for medical use only. Even though this was true however, not just anybody was allowed to obtain marijuana. Any person wishing to obtain cannabis had to have a condition that was debilitating. Debilitating conditions approved by the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) and included in Amendment 20 are cancer, glaucoma, HIV or AIDS, cachexia, severe pain, severe nausea, seizures, muscle spasms, and any other condition approved by CDPHE (Davis et.al, 2015, p.1). This Amendment lasted for nine years and in 2009, anyone was allowed to obtain medical cannabis. There was no ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Another main reason was that good grammar will help manifest how organized one can be with their intentions and thoughts. She implies that we are most likely master our work if our sentences are organized and structured, which ties back to her original statement of organization helping with our intentions and thoughts. Hispanic youth was included under white racial group. Keeping track of crime through the FBI s UCR Program can be an effective tool to measure trends in juvenile crime and reduce delinquency among our youth. For instance, data gathered can help law enforcement agencies allocated funds to programs aimed to curtail rising crime in certain areas and hire more staff where it s needed. • 11. Advanced Persistent Threat At Sony Picture Entertainment (... Introduction According to lecture note and presentation from Dr. Tamir Bechor on October 21, 2016, advanced persistent threat: (i) pursues its objectives repeatedly over an extended period of time; (ii) adapts to defenders efforts to resist it; and (iii) is determined to maintain the level of interaction needed to execute its objectives. (Bechor, 2016) These objectives include building and strengthening its harmful system within an organization infrastructure in order to disrupt activities, obstruct normal operations, and extract sensitive information. Hence, this paper will clarify how advanced persistent threats (APTs) were achieved in the Sony Picture Entertainment (SPE) breach. In addition, examine the characteristics of the SPE threat level and adversary level relating to the threat actors capabilities, intent, and targets. Moreover, review why SPE previous security vulnerabilities and weaknesses or significant investments didn t benefit to detect or prevent this breach. (Bechor, 2016) Advanced Persistent Threat (APT) One attribute of APT refers to the continuous attacks from threat actors to penetrate SPE infrastructure. Although the attack on Sony Corporation in 2011 to its network might not have been related to this incident in 2014, it has been proven the hackers behind the SPE attack exploited a previously undisclosed or unknown [Zero Day] vulnerability in its computer systems that gave them unlimited access to the entirety of SPE s network. While some believe in a strong government that controls and expands its role over many aspects of American society, others believe that limiting government power is necessary to having a thriving society and economy. Clark Kerr wrote the document Industrialism and the Industrial Man which highlights and explains the perspective of having a centralized government in power. Contrastingly, Capitalism and Freedom, written by Milton Friedman is in support of a limited government and placing a check on concentrated power. Both documents reflect the two different styles of government and provide context to their functions and the application of their duties. In Industrialism and the Industrial Man, Clark Kerr depicts the concept of an industrial society characterized by a government that has a wide range of activities and functions it controls. In this industrial society, the government provides and controls technology, infrastructure, urban development, military, international relations, education, parks, healthcare, and many other services to society. The government also keeps order of the economy, controlling the labor and product markets. This issue is controversial because it can lead states to deny voters a vote without an approved ID. On one hand, some supporters of ID laws argue that these laws are preventing criminals from committing fraud. From this perspective, the laws are protecting the value of a vote and what it means to actually participate in an election vote. On the other hand, however, people argue that by placing the restriction on voting it is impeding the people constitutional rights much like a poll tax. Opponents also claim that by enforcing an ID law it is creating a poll tax similar to the ones created to prevent the African American people from voting. A poll tax is a specific amount a person is charged before being able to place a vote; the comparison between a poll tax and a driver s license fee is like comparing apples and oranges, when getting a driver s license a person is using their license as their main form of ID. According to a FAA report, aircraft s btu/passenger mile (energy intensity) is 2,654 in 2012. This is an 24.3% improvement from the 3,505 btu/passenger miles in 2004. It is also improving faster compared to automobiles btu/passenger mile of 8.8% improvement (FAA, 2015). In aviation, most of its pollutants are distributed at high altitudes. However, this can still be hazardous to the environment because aircraft emissions above 3,000 feet can cause up to five times more health impacts than emissions below 3,000 (Steven Barrett, Ian A. Waitz, 2009 2010). A widely studied area in the impacts aviation has is researching air quality. There are two areas which have been getting a lot of attention and becoming more important relating to air quality. The first area is known as fine particulate matter (PM). PM is known as an air pollutant containing tiny particles floating in the air, sometimes creating a foggy, hazy look in the air. Compared to NOx, another compound found in emissions, PM is known to be a greater impact (Waitz, Townsend, Cutcher Gershenfeld, Greitzer, Kerrebrock, 2004).
