1. 1) I used the following tools in the creation of my ‘Opie Self Portrait’:
The Magnetic Lasso tool was used to select the parts of my body,
The Pencil tool was used to fill in any gaps that I missed and to add
finite pieces of detail to my work.
The eraser was used to clean up my work and to remove any mistakes I
may have made.
The Paint bucket tool was used to fill in my different body parts with one
solid colour.
The colour picker was used to pick the specific colours in which I used
to create my portrait.
2) I found using the magnetic lasso tool tricky to use, as it was frustrating to get
it to lock onto the thing I wanted, it occasionally left gaps and locked onto the
wrong thing, this was aggravating.
3) I would say I was successful with this brief as I think my ‘Opie Self Portrait’
looks good. The improvements I would make next time are that I would include
more detail in the shirt as I think it looks a bit plain, I would include folds and
creases in the shirt.
