1. S.E.T. – an acronym for Simple, Effective and Tough
– has designed a patent pending steel cover to protect
the door and window openings of vacant, foreclosed
and abandoned properties.
The product is simple to use, light enough to install
quickly and is an effective deterrent against break-ins,
vandalism, theft and squatters. Unlike boarded-up
properties, structures covered by S.E.T. products are
accessible through a safe and secure access point.
S.E.T. products also provides consumers with a full
"system" including covers, lock, mounting hardware
and installation manual.
S.E.T. products have been designed with one thing in
mind: security. Security for your investment; Security
for neighborhoods; and security for anyone living in
fear of the unknown. We all deserve better.
Greatly Enhanced Property Protection
Foreclosures and abandoned properties have an
adverse effect on neighborhoods, families, and
property values. Vacant homes can become a target
for criminals and vandals. Foreclosure proceedings
can take a long time leaving properties unattended
and susceptible to squatters, theft and vandalism.
This makes having S.E.T. covers installed more
important than ever.
Many Advantages Over Plywood
Plywood can easily be defeated with simple tools,
it does not weather well and looks undesirable in
neighborhoods. Plywood cannot be reused or
recycled and usually ends up in a land fill - contrary
to S.E.T. products. The hinged door produced by
S.E.T. allows repeated entry into the home - unlike
plywood board ups. Plus, you own the S.E.T. system,
and can install it yourself, while similar systems
requires you to use their crews to install or remove
with huge costs involved.
Cost Comparison - S.E.T. Steel vs. Plywood
Plywood board-ups cost between $800-$1,500, per
building, including labor and materials. With plywood,
you do not recoup any of those costs. With S.E.T.
products, not only is the system price competitive,
but since it’s 100% reusable, after two uses the
system has paid for itself. Let S.E.T. covers work for
you!

2. S.E.T. Products FAQ’s
According to national records, neighborhoods with
unsecured vacant houses and buildings had 3.2 times
as many drug calls to police; 1.8 times as many theft
calls, and twice the number of violent crimes reported
as blocks without vacant houses and buildings.
The “Broken Window Theory” holds that if the first
broken window in a building is not secured, then people
will assume that no one cares about the building,
leading to more broken windows, more vandalism
and more theft.
Surveys have found that 41% of abandoned buildings
could be entered without the use of force; of these,
83% showed evidence of illegal use by prostitutes,
drug dealers and users, property criminals, among
other crimes.

Protecting property and assets are serious
matters. It is especially serious when it seems
that criminals and squatters often find new
ways to penetrate properties boarded-up with
plywood. It’s an ongoing battle - and it’s a battle
that communities and property managers need
to win.
If plywood is not doing the job for you, S.E.T.
products can and will. Take a look at a property
before the use of S.E.T. products and after
securing the house with them. We think you’ll
agree that S.E.T. products is a great alternative
to plywood.

can be installed and taken down by anyone with
the proper tools and DIY experience.

door?
Yes. Currently we offer one standard door size
that fits most entry doors and three window sizes
that fit most windows. Other sizes can be
customized to fit different openings.
Can I work inside a house or building with
S.E.T. products on it?
Absolutely. Reinstalling the lock in the door frame
prevents accidentally being locked in. The hinged
door produced by S.E.T. allows repeated entry into
the home - unlike plywood board ups.
How much does a typical house cost?
Competitive costs varies by structure and we take
precise measurements of houses and buildings
where the products are being installed. When you
contact us we can usually provide a quote right
over the phone - with measurements - or in writing
if you prefer.
Can S.E.T. products be recycled and reused?
Yes. Once you purchase the S.E.T. system it is
yours to keep and reuse as many times as you
would like. S.E.T. covers are 100% recyclable un-
like plywood which usually ends up in a local land-
fill. S.E.T. uses an automotive grade steel that will
offer you years and years of use.
