1. Which tools did you use to complete the task and describe
how you used them to complete your self portrait.
I first used the lasso tool to select the sections that I
needed to use for my portrait. This would allow me to
copy different sections of my face to new layers.
Once I had the different sections of my portrait in
different layers I then used the colour sampler tool to
get the right colour for filling in. After selecting a
colour I used the paint bucket tool to give my features
a cartoony effect.
Once I had finished filling in I used the paint brush to
define and fill in any blank spots in my portrait.
2. Were there any parts of the task/specific tools which you
found difficult and if so, what were they and why?
I did not find any tools difficult to use but I had a few
problems using the lasso tool as would forget to
select the layer I was lassoing from.
3. Finally, how successful were you in completing the given
brief and what improvements would you make next time.
I think I was very successful with this task as I
completed it with very few troubles. If I was to make
any improvement it would to maybe add a little more
detail.
