The business landscape is changing. It's driven by significant changes in infrastructure, economics, and 3 big technology shifts that are happening simultaneously. On top of that there are emerging technologies that have the potential for an even more profound effect on the World economy and our business. I want to make you step back and look at things we already know about the digital landscape, the digital workplace and digital disruption and look at them with fresh eyes and think about them differently. We call this the Digital Enterprise Wave - ride it, or go under.
Future of Work with AI and Machine LearningFaisal Hoque
Because AI, machine learning, and deep learning can all be loosely grouped under the same umbrella, its best to think of the trio working in concert to help organizations work smarter, better, and faster. And while all three are still in their infancies on the technological growth curve, it is already impacting in ways that we may not even realize.
Insights into "tribal" business (for business owners) - Oct 2013Lisette Sutherland
Modern businesses are experimenting with new organizational structures where the focus is on communities instead of hierarchies… top-down governance is being replaced with cultures where employees are encouraged to self organize and become more adaptable.
Why is this being called a “tribal business” and what does it mean to grow a business in this way? How does working together like this motivate people to contribute more?

Product Managers: Thinking is good but feeling is betterSandra Davey
You can learn product management, you can learn the full-stack environment your dev works in, and you can learn how to prototype; these are all professional skills we learn in our jobs. But the rest, the big stuff, the important stuff, you gotta feel it.
In product management, we make a truckload of logical, rational decisions and choices. using logic, reason and method we immerse ourselves in the data so can make "data driven decisions". And they're good decisions right, cause it's data. And to get there, we revere rationality, logic, structure, but often to the exclusion of emotion, feeling, gut, instinct and knowledge.
So I wanna talk about this 'soft' stuff. Of giving voice, of feeling and expressing vulnerability, of the power of listening, of using empathy and emotion ... the stuff of creativity to help make choices and decisions. And you learn this by feeling it, experiencing and doing it, by being it. Not by reading about it.
Digital Disruption Can Be a Positive ExperienceSteven Hallam
I presented a keynote at the Adobe Symposium #AdobeSymp on 22 July 2014 with Brett Cooper from Telstra Digital (@chilicooper) about how "Digital disruption can be a positive experience".
Often we associate disruption with a negative connotation and words such as disturbance, deviation, interference, interruption, or discontinuity, come to mind. However, as consumers and businesses often experience, digital disruption can also be a very positive experience.

Scrum Day 2013 - Co-Innovation and IntrapreneurshipTobias Schimmer

How social media has changed corporate culture foreverYomego
There’s been a parallel growth in social media for business, mirroring the rise of Facebook and the rest for consumers. But whether LinkedIn Jive, Salesforce or Yammer (to name a few), do we really understand what it means to be a customer company? Embedding social media culture - openness, inclusiveness, and collaboration - into the heart a company's ethos can enable employees to start thinking in possibilities rather in restrictions.

What CIOs Need to Know about the Future of Technology - Steve Sammartino, Fu...IT Network marcus evans

Conversational intelligence builds on the advancements in artificial intelligence and cognitive computing to help organisations to lower costs, lower risk, and increase value. This is achieved through a variety of outcomes, such as enhancing engagement through providing personalized understanding, scaling and elevating human expertise, infusing products and services with contextually aware knowledge, enabling automated, intelligent business process and powering the ability for disruptive data discovery and exploration that have otherwise eluded organisations for decades.
Conversations play an important role in building these relationships, but they are increasingly taking on digital forms, which are very hard to track. These conversations hold valuable information, but how can companies extract actionable insights? What role does Conversational Intelligence play?
Listen to an interview that Founder & CEO Neil Movold did with B2M's Simon Fawkes on the subject of Conversational Intelligence and the answers to these questions.

"Impact of front-end architecture on development cost", Viktor TurskyiFwdays
I have heard many times that architecture is not important for the front-end. Also, many times I have seen how developers implement features on the front-end just following the standard rules for a framework and think that this is enough to successfully launch the project, and then the project fails. How to prevent this and what approach to choose? I have launched dozens of complex projects and during the talk we will analyze which approaches have worked for me and which have not.

Search and Society: Reimagining Information Access for Radical FuturesBhaskar Mitra
The field of Information retrieval (IR) is currently undergoing a transformative shift, at least partly due to the emerging applications of generative AI to information access. In this talk, we will deliberate on the sociotechnical implications of generative AI for information access. We will argue that there is both a critical necessity and an exciting opportunity for the IR community to re-center our research agendas on societal needs while dismantling the artificial separation between the work on fairness, accountability, transparency, and ethics in IR and the rest of IR research. Instead of adopting a reactionary strategy of trying to mitigate potential social harms from emerging technologies, the community should aim to proactively set the research agenda for the kinds of systems we should build inspired by diverse explicitly stated sociotechnical imaginaries. The sociotechnical imaginaries that underpin the design and development of information access technologies needs to be explicitly articulated, and we need to develop theories of change in context of these diverse perspectives. Our guiding future imaginaries must be informed by other academic fields, such as democratic theory and critical theory, and should be co-developed with social science scholars, legal scholars, civil rights and social justice activists, and artists, among others.
