OSHA is a US government agency that sets and enforces workplace health and safety standards to assure safe working conditions. Its mission is to protect workers' health and safety. Workers have legal rights to a safe work environment, including proper control of risks, safety equipment, ability to stop unsafe work, and ability to report health and safety concerns. When establishing factories or workplaces, safety measures must include proper transportation, water, hospitals, wages, workplace safety protections, breaks, adequate toilets, first aid, emergency equipment, and safety signage. Ensuring worker health and safety is important because workers are valuable and their well-being enables productive work.

2. What is OSHA?
The United States Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) is an
agency of the United States Department of Labor.
 What is the mission of OSHA ?
OSHA's mission is to "assure safe and healthful working conditions for working
men and women by setting and enforcing standards and by providing training,
outreach, education and assistance“.
The Occupational Safety and Health Act allows OSHA to issue workplace
health and safety regulations. These regulations include limits on chemical
exposure, employee access to information, requirements for the use of
personal protective equipment, and requirements for safety procedures.

3. The Workers Right
Workers rights as an employee to work in a safe and healthy
environment are given by law and generally can't be changed or
removed by employer. The most important of these rights are:
As far as possible, to have any risks to workers health and safety
properly controlled
to be provided with any personal protective and safety equipment free of
charge.
To stop work and leave work area, without being disciplined if workers
have reasonable concerns about their safety.
To tell the employer about any health and safety concerns they have.
not to be disciplined if they contact the Health and Safety Executive for
Northern Ireland (HSENI), or their local authority, if the employer won't
listen to their concerns.
To have rest breaks during the working day.
To have time off from work during the working week.
To have annual paid holiday.

4. What can we do for safety and health for the
workers
If we want to make a garments or factory, we should think about the safety &
health of workers .Like………………..
 At first we should choose a land where the transport system is quite good.
 Then we must think about the water source and hospital .
 We have to be capable of giving them a salary by which they can lead their life
in a good way.
 We should ensure the safety of the workplace .
 For their refreshment we can give an hour break to them.
 Another important thing that we have to make sure there is enough number of
toilets for the workers . There should be 1 toilet for 12 workers.
 For emergency we must have the arrangements of the first aid, emergency
alart switch , fire point and ambulance.

Workers should know the signs of danger. If accidentally any danger comes they have to be
trained about this how to manage the situation and safe his/her life.

Conclusion
For occupational health and safety we have to be concerned because every life is invaluable.
The workers are the future maker of a factory, they work and we get the result. So we should
respect them, we should respect their life. We can do many things for their safety. OSHA is
one of those agency which works for the safety and health of workers.
A good environment can make the worker more efficient and hard working.
Feeling safe, secure and healthy can make the workers more productive.
