Object Description Essay Example
Crafting an essay on the topic "Object Description Essay Example" poses a unique set of
challenges. The difficulty lies in balancing creativity with meticulous detail. The task demands a
keen observation of the chosen object and the ability to articulate its nuances effectively.
Describing an object goes beyond the surface level; it involves delving into its history,
significance, and the emotions it evokes.
One challenge is avoiding the pitfall of turning the essay into a mere inventory of characteristics.
Instead, the writer must weave a narrative that captivates the reader's imagination, providing a
sensory experience through words. Striking the right balance between vivid descriptions and
maintaining coherence can be a daunting task. It requires the writer to employ a range of literary
devices to bring the object to life without losing focus on the overall theme.
Moreover, selecting an object that is both interesting and rich in descriptive potential adds an
additional layer of complexity. The writer must choose an item that not only resonates with them
personally but also has broader appeal to engage a diverse audience.
Researching the object's background may also be challenging, especially if it is a lesser-known or
niche item. The writer must invest time in gathering relevant information to provide context and
depth to the description. This research aspect adds an intellectual layer to the essay, enhancing
its overall quality.
In conclusion, crafting an essay on the topic "Object Description Essay Example" is a
challenging yet rewarding endeavor. It requires a delicate balance of creativity, attention to
detail, and effective use of language. By successfully navigating these challenges, the writer can
create a piece that not only vividly describes the chosen object but also leaves a lasting
impression on the reader.

Importance Of Broad Based Consultation
The Importance Of Broad Based Consultation
There is a direct and intended correlation between thorough and extensive consulta
tions and resulting strong, compelling report recommendations that stakeholders can
stand behind and support; and that ultimately governments will move quickly to
imple ment. When those consulted and the constituencies they represent can see their
contributions and issues reflected in the final report and recommendations, they are
much more likely to press governments for the implementation of said
recommendations.
From inception, my objective was to develop and implement a consultation strategy
and process for this Review that would be robust, broad based and balanced; one that
would provide both current and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It was critically important for me to make sure that we were also well enough
resourced to take the requisite time to consult as fully and widely as possible.
Another significant element of our consultation strategy was an emphasis on
remaining flexible. This allowed us the time as a team to remain nimble enough to
course correct and reschedule in order to accommodate new consultation requests and
proposals, stakeholder generated postponements, and receive follow up information
pertinent to the report content and recommendations.
Who We Heard From
Over the course of our almost 7 month consultation process, my Review team and I
met with over 1,442 individuals in more than 125 private meetings and 18 public
consulta tions across Ontario, Canada and the United Kingdom. We consulted with
affected families; policing stakeholders, including police associations, commissioners,
chiefs of police and police service boards; Black and other radicalized communities,
including Somali, Muslim and newcomer communities; on and off reserve
Indigenous communities and Inuit communities, including chiefs, elders, band
members, Self Administered First Nation Police Services representatives, and service
providers; provincial and international government agencies and officials; experts and
academics; mental health practitioners and survivors/consumers; youth and youth
workers; LGBTQ representatives; women s organizations; as well as the
Understanding The Flow Dynamics Of An Aircraft
section{The Road to Transition.}
Understanding the flow dynamics of an aircraft in flight conditions is a very difficult
task. The process that the flow undergoes is complicated and many factors are
involved. The main understanding of this process is that it undergoes a transition
from laminar flow (linear, parallel streamlines) to turbulent (chaotic, mixed) one. The
region where this changes is called laminar turbulent transition. It is important to
understand the characteristics of the flow for prediction of this transition location.
Laminar flows are sensitive to adverse pressure gradients and are inclined to separate,
whereas turbulent flows create larger wall friction.

Reynolds cite{Reynolds1883} assessed this laminar turbulent transition by
performing experiments in a pipe. He did this by injecting ink into a pipe with a
water flow and observing the results. He noted that there were different regimes based
on the speed of the flow, laminar and turbulent regions. A parameter, which is named
after him, quantified this different behaviour of the fluid. The Reynolds number is the
ratio of the inertia forces over the viscous ones and it dictates the transition process.
We are interested in what caused this transition to occur and if there needs to be a
critical value for this transition to happen.
In aerodynamics many factors exist that contribute to the triggering of turbulence. In
a three dimensional boundary layer on a swept wing, various instabilities are

Risks of Teenagers Obtaining a Driver s Licence
Most teens look forward to getting a driver s license. But that may change if they
know that they have a much higher risk of having a motor accident than adult
drivers. In the United States, driving accidents are a leading cause of death among
teenagers. These accidents happen mostly in populated cities. This problem has
caused each state to have its own drivinglaws for teens. Although this problem is
already a priority in many states, it should get more attention from the general public,
especially teens. It is important for people to know about driving laws because these
laws can help establish safe driving habits. California laws that attempt to decrease
teen caused auto accidentsinclude establishing a minimum age for passengers of
teenage drivers. In California, a new driver cannot transport anyone who is under
20 years of age unless a licensed adult is also in the vehicle. Another effective law
in California requires teen drivers to have at least 50 hours of supervised driving
during the learner s permit stage. This law is effective because it allows teens to
learn how to drive safely on the road with the help of an experienced driver.
Although some laws are effective, teens are still known to cause accidents. Therefore,
a solution should be proposed to the state governments that will call for a law that
requires teens to take an annual mandatory driving testfor a certain number of years
after obtaining a license.
Existing Driving Laws Fail to Ensure Safety As

able to purchase two crucial pieces of land from the Native Americans that play a
vital role in the settling and development of Minnesota. The pieces of land

The Importance Of Dress Codes
Throughout the years the debate over school dress has been a hot topic, while
dress codes are nothing new, they have been a growing issue that past few decades.
According to Laura Birkett on the Toronto Star, For as long as there have been
teenagers, there have been adults aghast at their habits... often expressed by their
wardrobe ( Students Protest Dress Codes IN7). Dress codes pose to have no actual
effect on students in today s world. Birkett also explained that with dress codeor
without it kids will do what they want and will still, most likely, grow up to me
respectable adults in the working class ( Students Protest Dress Codes IN7). Dress
codes have been proven unnecessary and therefore, have no positive benefits on
students.
Dress codes are also sending the wrong message to students about body shaming.
Donna George for the Washington Post reveals that, at a School in Maryland a
young girl was called out for her leggings which were said to be a distraction by the
young girls teacher. School administrators are shown supporting the body shaming
of students when the mother of the young girl, Eboni Banks filed a civil right
complaint confirming that, Administrators are being allowed to discriminate and
engage in body shaming behaviors (George). The fact that school district
employees are being given the right to determine if a girl s clothes are too
distracting or not makes the girl being victimized feel as if she s doing something
wrong and should be ashamed of
Metis Struggle for Self Identification Essay examples
One of the most contentious issues in Canada s history is that of the Metis. Some
people feel this unique group of people does not deserve any sort of recognition,
whereas others believe their unique history and culture is something to be recognized
and cherished. The history of the Metis people is filled with struggle; not only
struggles against other powers, but also a struggle for self identification. Despite
strong opposition, the Metis people of Canadahave matured as a political force and
have taken great strides towards being recognized as a unique people. The word

This new trading company was primarily made up of French Canadians and its
creation was a direct threat to the Hudson s Bay Company, which held an absolute
monopoly on the fur trade. In the middle of this conflict were the Metis, who held
important positions as traders, labourers and clerks within both trading companies.
By the end of the 18th century, many Metis people had begun to congregate around
the trading posts at Red River . Many of the clerks working for either trading
company were Metis and so the conflict grew in significance. Eventually the harsh
methods of the Hudson s Bay Company caused the Metis to become disillusioned
and so many joined with the Northwest Company. With increase in trade activity
around the red river valley, there was an increased need for transportation other
than the waterways. The ox and cart had been used for many years but the Metis re
vamped this idea by having the first cart tied to the right hand rear of the second Ox ,
and so on. The driver would be able to be in charge of up to five Ox and cart at the
same time . This new version of an old idea was called the Red River Cart . It
allowed the Metis to travel with a larger amount of goods and become more
efficient because of the reduced risk of the carts getting stuck due to five cart tracks
being set instead of one track, which had been done previously.
The conflict between the two companies came to a head when the Hudson s

women, with over half of its residents speaking Spanish at home, and with only one
fourth having a high school diploma. This population is disadvantaged as they have

Mary Shelley s Frankenstein And The Bride Of
Frankenstein...
It is amazing how words on a page take a life of their own once they are written. An
author s story can take readers away on a magic carpet ride, to a magical castle that
anything can happen in Britain, even through a wardrobe to a land far away and
draft them in the battle of a lifetime. But what is even more fascinating is that unlike
humans, the words on the page never changes. From this moment to 200 years from
now, the words on this page will always be the same, it is only the reader and the
world around them that changes. Take for example Mary Shelley s Frankenstein. In
1818, Shelley had a nightmare that lead her to write her novel as a personification of
the Victorian Culture s fascination of science and death. In 1934, director James
Whaleadapted the material into The Bride of Frankensteinfilm, and was an allegory
for pre WWII unity, then in 1997, someone interpreted the film as a homosexual
allegory for the 1990 s. This paper will examine how Mary Shelley adapted her
nightmare into an allegory for her Victorian era audience, how James Whale used
her original text to turn The Bride of Frankenstein into a message of unity for a pre
WWII audience, as well as how Garry Morris uses Whale s film to create a pro same
sex marriage message out of the text in 1997.
Mary Shelley adapted her nightmare of a mad scientist bringing a dead body back to
life, into a text that reflects Victorian Customs is by featuring the importance of
education in Victorian society as
Causing Harm With Trade Embargos And Sanctions
Causing Harm With Trade Embargos and Sanctions
Trade embargos have tremendous consequences for countries that are being
embargoed. The embargos not only affect the country that are being embargoed, but
the effect bleed over the borders to the surrounding countries. The list of countries
that have been sanctioned by the United Nations included Russia, North Cyprus, and
Cuba. United Nations sanctions that target countries affect the economy, the
morale, and encourages criminal activities to obtain goods. The majority of good
hearted citizens would be appalled if they were walking down a street and saw a
dog tied up in a yard looking like it hadn t eaten for a week. These citizens would
take a minute retrieve their phone and call the Humane Society to report this cruel
treatment of this poor dog. As doctor C. M. Tiplada, D. B. Walsh, and C. J. C.
Phillips wrote in their journal article, Public outrage after undercover footage of
animal cruelty is screened has been reported in a range of countries, such as USA,
Canada, and the UK (636). Who do the citizen call when they are being treated like
the dog and the owner of the dog is the United Nations? This is how people around
the world are being treated each and every day when their country has an embargo
imposed on the resources that are able to enter and exit their country. These embargos
create personnel harm to the citizens of the country at the expense of political
malfeasance.
The United Nations has a greater
Memes and Life
We have three replicators 1. Genes 2. Memes 3. Fremes (I have called them that).
These three replicators are selfish in that they contiuously try to replicate.
In the book by Susan Blackmore, it is mentioned that the reason why we cannot stop
thinking is because there are too many memes in our memory that can find their
place in the brain. Hence, we continuously keep on thinking, but at the cost of higher
energy requirements. Indeed, thinking utilizes more brain power which in turn
requires more oxygen for which more blood flow is required. Hence, in a nutshell,
the more we think the more energy we consume and the more the genetically weaker
our genes become as we are wasting more energy. What we see here that these...

Hence, let us see how ideally we should be able to control these memes.
We need to control the gene replication. For this, the simple idea is not to produce
offsprings. Simple.
We need to control the meme replication. For this, we need to try to stop thinking.
Difficult, but practice makes us perfect, or so they say.
We need to control freme replication. For this, let me take you on this concept of a
time machine. The photon clock example. Yes. As our speed increases, the value
of the time decreases. This is all hypothetical and yes, impossible too. Later, I will
explain why. Nevertheless, the analogy is interesting. We are saying that the longer
the time the lesser number of ticks and hence smaller the value of time. This way.
So the longer the time, the more the control as you could possibly do things more
dexterously. So in order to control fremes, we need to decrease the meme activity
and increase the freme activity, i.e. decrease the value of time as frequency = 1/ Time.
So, what do we collect from all this?
In order to reach a higher state we should ideally be away from the greed of
This is what the ideal life of a saint is explained in the Jain text. Indeed, there are
various levels of spirituality explained in Jainism. You should not have a family, go to
an isolated place where you do not have anyone telling you things or you telling them
things. And then, concentrate and meditate continuously to
Adversity in Life Elicits Unknown Talents and Strength
Essay
Who we really are, what our real character is only truly elicited when we are
challenged, as a proverb states, In the darkest hour shines the brightest light. Our true
character shines through when we are pushed to our extremes and are placed in
situations outside of the norm. Horace claims that when someone is faced with an
adversity or a challenge, they are more likely to discover talents that they thought they
never had. I agree with his claim that adversity breeds talents and strengthens our
character, but still understand the importance of prosperity in developing talents.
The modern world has an abundance of prosperity; many countries are now affluent.
In these prosperous circumstances talents stay hidden, but countries like Nepal, ...

Adversity doesn t only elicit talents and shape character in extreme situations;
many people s first experience of adversity is found in school sports. Growing up I

Martin Heidigger s Response To Modernity Analysis
To understand Martin Heidigger s response to Modernity one would have to
examine the relationship between their notions of Man. Martin Heidigger s
concept of Man, a being in the world, is very different from the Modern view of
man as a thinking being. One believes that understanding comes from a purely
subject object perspective wherein the understanding of the world around us is
performed by our internal, completely separate, I because it is perfect and known
innately while the other believes that to be a being is to actively Be , which is the
same as Heidigger s notion of Being, and to Be is to exist or to be engaged in the
world therefore connecting being, Being and the world forming the concept of
Dasein or a being in the world. To understand Heidigger s response one would have
to first understand what it is he s responding to. Cogito Ergo Sum summarizes what
the Cartesian man is all about. The idea that to exist is to think separates the world
into the inner world and the outside world; this idea resulted from Descartes search
for an absolute truth which does not base its validity on the external world, because...

Specifically, he looked into what is a human person because when Plato and the
other classical philosophers stated what being was, everybody else just
automatically assumed that people just understood the concept of a being. To this
end, Heidigger came up with the belief of Dasein or, Being in the world which
basically meant that to Be, as in to literally exist, as a being involves the act of
engagement in the world we find ourselves
The Treatment Of Cancer Treatment
Abstract
Cancer is a crucial health concern around the world. Despite the major developments
in conventional treatments, radiation, chemotherapy and surgical therapies, still
many cancer cell lines, such as lung cancer, have a critically low 5 year survival rate.
The current conventional approach of cancer treatment is composed of surgery,
chemotherapy, and radiation, which considered the basic steps for any cancer patient.
However, the majority of these therapeutic approaches are associated with rigorous
side effects and overall prognosis remains poor with high fatality rate. For this reason,
in addition to the conventional treatment methods, a new trend to search the
alternative therapies to increase treatment efficiency is utilized. Annona Muricata is a
plant that shows a promising aspects in preventing cancer from spreading. This
research focused on the cancer disease, how it can be treated as well as the risks of
using a given treatment. Moreover, the study also looked at the symptoms of the
disease and the different types of cancer. In addition, this research revealed the role of

Craft Beer And The Beer Industry
From 2012 to 2014, the number of craft breweries in America has grown from 2,401
to 3,418, representing a 42% increase. ( Number of Breweries and Brewpubs in the
U.S. ) Additionally, while US overall beer production fell 1.4% in 2013, craft beer
production grew by 9.6% and now represents 7% of the total beermarket. (Snider).
The brewers association describes a craft brewer as small, meaning annual
production of less than 6 million barrels of beer, independent, meaning less than 25%
of the brewery is owned by non craft brewers in the alcoholic beverage industry, and
traditional, meaning the majority of beers derive flavor from traditional brewing
ingredients and fermentation and further states that these beers tend to be more
expensive than mainstream brews. ( Craft Brewer )
The craft beer industry is rapidly increasing in size and the beers within it tend to
be more expensive, but little academic research exists on the perceived quality of
craft versus mainstream beers. Craft beer is widely seen as generally better than
mainstream American beers such as Budweiser, Coors, and Miller, but no academic
research exists to determine how expectations of differences between craft and
mainstream beer based only on being labeled as craft can effect perceived quality
and flavor.
People s expectations have widely been shown to influence both flavor experiences
and neural responding. Plassman and others (2008) demonstrated this using wine, by
presenting wine to participants that

In particular, studies of theta rhythm in sub primate animals have provided an
evolutionary clue to the meaning of dreams. They appear to be the nightly record of a
basic mammalian memory process: the means by which animal form strategies for
survival and evaluate current experiences in light of those strategies. The existence of
this process may explain the meaning of dreams in human beings (Winston, 1989).
For humans, it could be that our innermost thought transpose

into our dreams. When we re awake, we have to concentrate on being a rational, self
aware, and an accepting member of society. Asleep, our brainreaches into the
memory files for image information and experience, weaving these into a story
(Kopecky, 1995). Every generation has to learn from their mistakes which are
stored in memories. To know what we ve done in the past is important, which
makes memory so valuable to us. A memory is where a dream begins, which is why
dreams can be so valuable to us. Dreams are sophisticated, powerful, primal works of
art created by your inner healer and artist: the unconscious. Your hidden artist weaves
past, present and future into intricate and bizarre patterns that on the surface may
seem to make no sense, and yet are strangely compelling. From its unlimited palette of

therefore, the film seemed stretched out. In reflection, that impression was

Australian society s actions against Aboriginals. It can be about prejudice, simplistic

theme and key issues circles around how the Lost Generation of Aboriginal children

Psychoanalysis And Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
Psychoanalysis Psychoanalysis is based on psychoanalytic theory postulated by the
renowned Viennese neurologist Sigmund Freud between the late nineteenth and early
twentieth centuries, and has been reactualizГЎndose. A little too summarizes our
psyche conceived as dynamic consists of a conscious and an unconscious part. This
theory postulates that, many times, which does not allow us to live peacefully past
traumas are hidden in the unconscious, and that we must make conscious to
overcome. It is the famous couch therapy, introspection, free association. It asks the
patient to say everything you think omitting the smallest detail, however insignificant
or ridiculous it may seem, because everything has a meaning, even dreams. Thus a
reconstruction of what experienced from early childhood, because this perspective
puts much emphasis on the influence of this stage in our present emotional well

Cognitive behavioral therapy From a cognitive behavioral perspective is known that
to solve a problem to have to change certain behaviors, are in a very broad sense,
considering each other s thoughts, feelings and emotions. Cognitive behavioral
therapy has two parts, one is the thinking about the problem. It is the responsibility of
the patient to fully contribute to defining the problem that is just what is concerned
and takes you to see. Once the vision that the patient has his problem under the
guidance of your therapist established a functional analysis of the problem,
enunciating in operational and modifiable terms is performed. Thus securing the
goals of therapy and treatment begins. This is the establishment of a program to
modify behaviors, thoughts and feelings relevant to the maintenance problem. This
type of therapy seems to know how to manage anxiety, as has solved problems such
as phobias, obsessions and other associated
Persuasive Essay On Police Brutality
Police brutality is the extreme misconduct against civilians by police officers by
ways of ranging from beating, sexual abuse, killing, and harassing
(BRITANNICA). Although, police officers are given jurisdiction to use discretion
on their reason and use of force, some officers take advantage of their limits and
exercise excessive force. It is inappropriate and unacceptable for a uniformed
police officer to unnecessarily harm citizens (HUFF POST). Police brutality of a
defenseless citizens can lead to protests, riots, and public outrage. When tensions
occur, complaints by citizens are often never investigated due to law enforcement
s desire to cover up the mistreatment and because police brutality is difficult to
prove depending on the scenario. The case of Rodney King, racial discrimination,
NFL protests, body cameras, excuses, and the September 11th terrorist attacks were
all affected by the misconduct and violence brought upon by police brutality.
Rodney King was an African American man whose beating by the Los Angeles
police officers was videotaped and displayed to all of the United States. He was
involved in a high speed car chase when police officers, Laurence Powell, Timothy
Wind, Theodore Briseno, and Stacey Koon, forcefully pulled him from his car and
violently beat him. The trial was held in Simi Valley, a primarily white community,
and obtained a jury of no African American members (BIOGRAPHY). The jury s
decision was to acquit the officers which activated the

It is up to teachers to give students the skills to set up and solve algorithms that will
help to build their math confidence and motivate them to expand on what they have
learned.
Teaching the concept of integers and number theory is a fundamental part of math
curriculum. The ability of a professional mathematics teacher to tie in real world
experiences, using hand on activities and manipulatives is essential in enabling
students to build on mathematic ideas and understand how they interconnect. Also
important is the concept of rational numbers as fractions, decimals, and real numbers.
Teachers need to help ease the transition from whole numbers by clearly explaining
the new rules and definitions students are unfamiliar with.
By teaching the importance of ratios, proportions, proportional reasoning, percents,
and their real life applications, teachers are giving students the skills they need to
become productive members of society. Proportional reasoning is one of the big ideas
in math and if students are able to grasp this concept, they will be able to apply it in
many instances in their lives. Teachers can assist students with this by providing
interesting, well thought out problems that represent situations students will
encounter in the future.
This course influenced my philosophy on teaching math by helping me realize how

liberalizing Indian life and general insurance industry. However, due to political
instability the bill could not be ratified by the Indian parliament. The bill was
subsequently termed as IRDA Act and passed in the Parliament on 7 December
1999. With the passing of the bill the monopoly position of LIC was removed and
private companies were allowed to operate in the Indian insurance market. After the
IRDA bill was passed in the Parliament, private insurance companies were given
licenses to operate in the Indian market. Joint ventures between Indian and foreign

Dubliners By James Joyce s Dubliners
In James Joyce s Dubliners, the reader experiences the different lives of Dublin s
inhabitants. Each Dubliner has different problems, fears, hopes, and dreams, which
allows culminates into many different perspectives. Joyce masterfully writes the daily
lives of these people without any romanticism. The Dublinersstories are a small
snippet into their full lives, while the reader does not get the full story, he does not
need to. Not much may seem to happen in the stories, but profound themes and
messages are hidden beneath the words. In the story An Encounter, a group of
boys imagine they are in the Wild West, while staging mock battles of cowboys vs.
Indians. The story includes many encounters that present themselves as ordinary;
however this is far from true. In fact, the story is largely commentating on often
mocking Irish religious life and escapism. In the beginning of the story one of the
boys, Leo Dillon, is scolded by Father Butler for reading The Half Penny Marvel.
Father Butler considers the comic as nonsense and tells Leo that his Roman
History is far more cultured and important (Joyce 12). A religious figure like
Father Butler is common among Joyce s works, as he has always shown contempt
for religion. In a sense, Father Butler creates structure for the boys, but it is
monotonous and rigid. Clearly Father Butler does not approve of Leo s fascinations
for the Wild West so he condemns him. The lack of support for imagination or
freedom is snuffed out by a

That was quite a failure. This company impacted the U.K., by giving them a good
show to entertain them, and many loved it through the 2 seasons it lasted. In the year
2002, Cowell created yet another show called American Idol. This show would air in
the United States, and have the same rules as Pop Idol. The show would hold
auditions for people who believed they had a talent in singing. There were 3
judges, Cowell being one. Then, the people who were at home watching, would
send in their vote, and that would decide who won the show. The only difference
was that, the overall winner would get 1,000,000 dollars toward a record deal,
instead of only having one option, like pop idol. Also, the finalist who did not win,
would also get a record deal, but this was only for the runner up. American has

published on September 21st, 1937. The novel tells the story of the young Bilbo

unannounced at the hobbits door. This is the beginning of Bilbo s unexpected

Along with Gandalf, Bilbo also meets the the twelve dwarves who refer to Bilbo as

ASTYM Treatment Principles
The Treatment FITT Principles A typical ASTYM treatment includes 8 10 treatments,
two times per week, with a 2 day break in between each session (e.g. Mon Th, Tu F,
M F). As for intensity, the pressure of using the tool varies based on the condition
being treated as well as the patient s tolerance. Training is required to use the tools
properly and address the soft tissue dysfunction. After the certified PT uses the
ASTYM tool on the soft tissue dysfunction, exercises are given to the patient to do in
order to use that new range of motion, and for functional purposes. Interventions vary
depending on the body impairment, but could include: strengthening the weak
muscles, increasing range of motion (by using the new motion gained from
treatment), performing daily activities with proper mechanics, etc. Each intervention
of ASTYM for treating one body impairment lasts about 10 minutes each session (or
whenever the dysfunction appears to be less restricted). Maximal results usually
achieved in 6 9 treatments. After 12 treatments, a patient probably won t see much
more results. 1 Lastly, ASTYM treatment is administered only by clinicians who have
completed a comprehensive training program and who are certified by Performance
Dynamics. 3 The training includes pre reading, pre tests, specific intensive treatment

5 Maximal force output of the lower extremity was measured by an isometric squat
test, before and after treatment in all participants. A sham treatment version of

effect on the percent change of maximal force output. Study supports that ASTYM
can have an immediate effect on muscle performance for those who have muscle
weakness after a lower extremity musculoskeletal injury.
The Censorship Of The Digital Age
Are people s information online truly private? Do people know that privacy is no
longer guaranteed? Technological updates in digital spaces make our private
information easily accessible for anyone who is looking for it. There have been
plenty of instances of people s personal information being hacked. When a person
buys an item online or fills out a personal account, is their information safe? The
Ashley Madison hacking sandal was one of the biggest media controversiesof 2015.
The hacking of the adult website leaked personal information of high profiled
celebrities, politicians, and athletes. Information such as credit card numbers, phone
numbers, and addresses were leaked for everyone to see. Hackers can obtain private
information from any communication technology. Privacy in the digital age is
relevant because no one is safe online. Invasion of privacy is only getting worse
with new technology advances. The internet has millions of networks and websites
that require one s personal information. Each personal account holds a privacy
setting that should guarantee confidentiality but that is not always the case. The
advances of technology leads to situations that people are unprepared for such as
hacking personal data. Some may believe their information is secure online because
companies are always improving security. However, society will always be faced
with individuals who will want to steal information. Hackers use private information
for monetary value and
The Code Of Ethics And Ethics
Professionals are people who use a specialized set of skills in order to serve
society. Because of these skills, professionals are often held to higher standards than
ordinary workers. A code of ethics helps professionals determine how they should act
both personally and in their workplaces in relation to their professions. With the
current surge in technological advances, it is extremely important for those who
work with computers to adhere to a specific code of ethics. The Association for
ComputerMachinery s (ACM) current code of ethics was adopted in 1992. Computer
professionals can look to the code of ethics when in doubt about making a decision

After that, it is expected that the professional continues to receive training in his or

and being involved in professional societies such at ACM. Some will even receive
higher degrees. It is especially important for computing professionals to keep up to
date on recent developments in order to ensure they are performing the best work
possible since technology is such a rapidly progressing field. For example, most
software engineers earn a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science before they are
able to accept jobs. Many software engineers will earn a Masters Degree in
Computer Science so that they are able to vastly expand their knowledge of
computer systems. In section 2.3 of the code of ethics, the professional is implored
to know and respect existing laws pertaining to professional work. In any
circumstance, a professional must obey local, state, national, and international laws
unless it directly conflicts with an ethical principle. It is imperative that if there is an
ethical reason to challenge a law, a professional must do so. The professional must

the stat keepers and score keepers sit, I get ready to shoot around before the game. I

excitement that I felt for this upcoming game. It was the type of excitement that

The Zoos Will Survive Analysis
Analyzing how the two texts and one video has approached the claim about
protecting animals in zoos is clear. In the article titled The Stripes Will Survive it
talks more about breeding and doubling the population. It uses two tiger cubs as
examples. It also says, They keep a computerized family tee of zootigers that helps
match males and females for breeding. They say that if it wasn t for this test Danya
and Dasha s parents would never have breeded and the cubs would never have been
born. In the second story, The Zoos Go Wild takes a different approach to the claim.
This story shows the counterclaim along too. At the beginning it talks about how the

Finally the zoo lets the gorilla out of the cage and into a more spacious and realistic
one. This made the gorilla happy and safe at the same time. In the text it says, They
could not see the moat that separated the predators from their prey. This shows that
the animals could have a good life in the zoo but still be able to be safer than they
were in the wild. This would also help endangered species because less of them
would be killed by their predators. Lastly, in the the video it leads you to believe the
claim because it explains the situations in a different point of view: the zookeeper. In
the video the zookeeper talks about making sure the animals are healthy and safe.
With more healthy lions, they can breed and produce a bigger population. They also
talk about letting the mom do her thing. They let the cubs stay with their mother like
they would in the wild. This shows that the zookeepers are trying their best to help
them, but are letting them stay the wild creatures they are. When they are old
enough, the zoo lets the animals out into the open arena and make sure they have
An Opinion Assesses Fancy Fertiliser s Liability Under...
TO: Olo Dictum and Areta Obiter, Senior partners
FROM: Kate Thompson
RE: Damage from Contamination
This opinion assesses Fancy Fertiliser s liability under the rule in Ryland s and
Fletcher.
Was the hydrofluorosilicic acid likely to cause mischief?
The rule established in Ryland s and fletcher is that anything likely to cause
mischief, if it escapes refers to beasts, or water, or filth, or stenches. In the case of
Cambridge Water Co and Eastern Counties Leather, the chemical perchloroethene (for
tanning leather) was the culprit of contamination and it was ruled that it was
included as something used to cause mischief if it escaped. We can use this ruling to
decide that the hydrofluorosilicic acid was likely to cause mischief.
Did the hydrofluorosilicic acid escape?
In the case of Read and Lyons, escape was defined as where a thing goes from an
area under the defendants control to an area outside their control. In both instances of
the chemical entering the student flats and from the truck to the toitЕ« early settler s
museum the chemicals had left the defendants facility to an area outside of their
control. Therefore it can be established that the chemical did indeed escape.
Was the hydrofluorosilicic acid brought onto the land?
In Ryland s and Fletcher it is established that it is a necessity for absolute liability
therefore the literal interpretation be taken; being that they introduced something onto
the land that was not there before. In this case the fertiliser and

Confucianism. During this time period, many people strived become ato be like a
Chun Zi, a superior individual who has proper behaviour, education and the study of
arts. Since many people followed the Confucianism laws and strived to be a Chun zi,
it soon became one of the strongest and biggest philosophies in China. The second
continuity is that it lasted for a long time.Confucianism spread mostly in the Han
dynasty and continued to spread. It lasted for several dynasties in China. It lasted
for a long time due to the great ideas in Confucianism, such as respecting the elders
and acting in morally correct ways. The third continuity is that filial piety was
emphasized all throughout. The subordinates were assumed to obey the superior,
also known as the 5 key relationships. In addition, this idea of respecting the elders
was emphasized all
Gas Transportation Methods Of Natural Gas
GAS TRANSPORTATION METHODS
Natural gas is a clean and environmental friendly energy source which is estimated
to constitute a major part of world energy consumption in the coming years. Usage
of natural gas is increasing due to its relatively cheaper costs than diesel or gasoline.
Transportation and Storage falls under the final stage of Oil and Gas processing
where it gets transported to the end user for further use in industry, plant or any other
facility. Transportation of natural gasremains as a challenge due to its isolated
reserves throughout the world. Natural gas has more problems in transportation
and storage when compared to other forms of energy such as petroleum, coal etc.
The main reason is due to the energy density of natural gas which is low at ambient
temperatures and pressures (Kidnay et al. 2011). So in order to transport the gas
by pipeline, its energy density has to be increased using high pressures. Another
problem of Natural gas due to its low energy density, lies in its storage. Natural gas
is highly volatile and sophisticated storage facilities are to be provided to prevent
any hazards. Therefore natural gas has to be transported continuously to the end user
avoiding reasons for storage. When there is less demand for its usage, natural gas has
to be converted to Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) and then stored.
Otherwise transportation of natural gas is carried out in different ways such as:
1. Pipelines
2. Compressed Natural gas (CNG)
3. Liquefied

Though astrology is considered a field that lacks rationality astronomy is considered
a discipline in science that is rather well established (Abu 2014). This was not true in
the ancient times as the two were highly intertwined. Hence the need for scholars
who would distinguish between the two, one such scholar whose work this research
expects alludes to is from Al Biruni. Al Biruni born in Khawrazm in Karakaplakstan
spent most of his lifetime in the Indian subcontinent and in central Asia. He was one
among distinguished scholars who were associated with the court of King Mahmoud
Ghaznawi, a widely known Muslim king of 11th century. Upon his return from India,
Al Biruni wrote a book whereby he discusses various theorems pertaining to
astronomy, trigonometry, and lunar, solar and planetary motions. In his books he
also discusses the fact that the earth rotates on its own axis and he provides the
correct latitudes and longtitudes of a couple of places (Abu 2014). He also
contributed in coming up with a complete description to the Hindu positional
principle of numeration, and he played a pivotal role in proving Heron s formula and
Brahmagupta s generalization.

The Role Of Sex Trafficking In Ontario
Ontario is the largest domestic sex trafficking province in Canada, however the
government spends less than any other province in preventative measures and
treatment options and the general population remains largely unaware of the crimes
that occur within their own cities. Our perception that these crimes, called The
Game do not exist near us is a disastrous myth because it enables traffickers to find
more susceptible victims and allows the government to deprioritize the problem. For
example, there are no shelters that cater towards freed sex traffickers in Ontario,
instead these individuals are sent to B.C. or other provinces for care. This isn t due
to a lack of interest among citizens, former victims and other corporations have started
Important Qualities For Potential Employers
The first step to planning your career is to examine who you are as an individual,
what you know about yourself, and what you want and need. You will then have the
upper hand over your fellow students by being able to choose a career field in
which you are truly happy to be in. These two qualities are the most important
qualities for potential employers. Then even if the career field you have chosen has a
lot of competition you will have the advantage of having the upper hand, because of
you commitment, devotion, and eagerness for what you wantto do. Now after reading
this chapter I took a few key things from it; for instance, I have learned that a job is
just a stepping stone and not a lifelong thing. While a career is something you like
doing, and specialized in through college and is meant to be done throughout the
rest of your life. By now having this information it has helped me narrow down the
field in mechanical engineering that I wish to work in, which is automotive
engineering. Another thing that has stuck with me is appreciating the differences in
the generations of people and how much of each one makes up the work force. An
example of this is, the Millennials/ Gen Y (My generation), we want jobs on our own
terms with opportunities to make differences, get educated, grow , and just have a
good time. Each generation has something that makes them unique, and knowing that
can improve your chances of being successful in your career field, because you can
get along

  • 2. Importance Of Broad Based Consultation The Importance Of Broad Based Consultation There is a direct and intended correlation between thorough and extensive consulta tions and resulting strong, compelling report recommendations that stakeholders can stand behind and support; and that ultimately governments will move quickly to imple ment. When those consulted and the constituencies they represent can see their contributions and issues reflected in the final report and recommendations, they are much more likely to press governments for the implementation of said recommendations. From inception, my objective was to develop and implement a consultation strategy and process for this Review that would be robust, broad based and balanced; one that would provide both current and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... It was critically important for me to make sure that we were also well enough resourced to take the requisite time to consult as fully and widely as possible. Another significant element of our consultation strategy was an emphasis on remaining flexible. This allowed us the time as a team to remain nimble enough to course correct and reschedule in order to accommodate new consultation requests and proposals, stakeholder generated postponements, and receive follow up information pertinent to the report content and recommendations. Who We Heard From Over the course of our almost 7 month consultation process, my Review team and I met with over 1,442 individuals in more than 125 private meetings and 18 public consulta tions across Ontario, Canada and the United Kingdom. • 3. Understanding The Flow Dynamics Of An Aircraft section{The Road to Transition.} Understanding the flow dynamics of an aircraft in flight conditions is a very difficult task. The process that the flow undergoes is complicated and many factors are involved. The main understanding of this process is that it undergoes a transition from laminar flow (linear, parallel streamlines) to turbulent (chaotic, mixed) one. The region where this changes is called laminar turbulent transition. It is important to understand the characteristics of the flow for prediction of this transition location. Laminar flows are sensitive to adverse pressure gradients and are inclined to separate, whereas turbulent flows create larger wall friction. Reynolds cite{Reynolds1883} assessed this laminar turbulent transition by performing experiments in a pipe. He did this by injecting ink into a pipe with a water flow and observing the results. He noted that there were different regimes based on the speed of the flow, laminar and turbulent regions. A parameter, which is named after him, quantified this different behaviour of the fluid. The Reynolds number is the ratio of the inertia forces over the viscous ones and it dictates the transition process. We are interested in what caused this transition to occur and if there needs to be a critical value for this transition to happen. In aerodynamics many factors exist that contribute to the triggering of turbulence. In a three dimensional boundary layer on a swept wing, various instabilities are

  • 6. Risks of Teenagers Obtaining a Driver s Licence Most teens look forward to getting a driver s license. But that may change if they know that they have a much higher risk of having a motor accident than adult drivers. In the United States, driving accidents are a leading cause of death among teenagers. These accidents happen mostly in populated cities. This problem has caused each state to have its own drivinglaws for teens. Although this problem is already a priority in many states, it should get more attention from the general public, especially teens. It is important for people to know about driving laws because these laws can help establish safe driving habits. California laws that attempt to decrease teen caused auto accidentsinclude establishing a minimum age for passengers of teenage drivers. In California, a new driver cannot transport anyone who is under 20 years of age unless a licensed adult is also in the vehicle. Another effective law in California requires teen drivers to have at least 50 hours of supervised driving during the learner s permit stage. This law is effective because it allows teens to learn how to drive safely on the road with the help of an experienced driver. Although some laws are effective, teens are still known to cause accidents. Therefore, a solution should be proposed to the state governments that will call for a law that requires teens to take an annual mandatory driving testfor a certain number of years after obtaining a license. Existing Driving Laws Fail to Ensure Safety As

  • 9. The Importance Of Dress Codes Throughout the years the debate over school dress has been a hot topic, while dress codes are nothing new, they have been a growing issue that past few decades. According to Laura Birkett on the Toronto Star, For as long as there have been teenagers, there have been adults aghast at their habits... often expressed by their wardrobe ( Students Protest Dress Codes IN7). Dress codes pose to have no actual effect on students in today s world. Birkett also explained that with dress codeor without it kids will do what they want and will still, most likely, grow up to me respectable adults in the working class ( Students Protest Dress Codes IN7). Dress codes have been proven unnecessary and therefore, have no positive benefits on students. Dress codes are also sending the wrong message to students about body shaming. Donna George for the Washington Post reveals that, at a School in Maryland a young girl was called out for her leggings which were said to be a distraction by the young girls teacher. School administrators are shown supporting the body shaming of students when the mother of the young girl, Eboni Banks filed a civil right complaint confirming that, Administrators are being allowed to discriminate and engage in body shaming behaviors (George). The fact that school district employees are being given the right to determine if a girl s clothes are too distracting or not makes the girl being victimized feel as if she s doing something wrong and should be ashamed of

This new trading company was primarily made up of French Canadians and its creation was a direct threat to the Hudson s Bay Company, which held an absolute monopoly on the fur trade. In the middle of this conflict were the Metis, who held important positions as traders, labourers and clerks within both trading companies. By the end of the 18th century, many Metis people had begun to congregate around the trading posts at Red River . Many of the clerks working for either trading company were Metis and so the conflict grew in significance. Eventually the harsh methods of the Hudson s Bay Company caused the Metis to become disillusioned and so many joined with the Northwest Company. With increase in trade activity around the red river valley, there was an increased need for transportation other than the waterways. The ox and cart had been used for many years but the Metis re vamped this idea by having the first cart tied to the right hand rear of the second Ox , and so on. The driver would be able to be in charge of up to five Ox and cart at the same time . This new version of an old idea was called the Red River Cart . It allowed the Metis to travel with a larger amount of goods and become more efficient because of the reduced risk of the carts getting stuck due to five cart tracks being set instead of one track, which had been done previously. The conflict between the two companies came to a head when the Hudson s

  • 12. Mary Shelley s Frankenstein And The Bride Of Frankenstein... It is amazing how words on a page take a life of their own once they are written. An author s story can take readers away on a magic carpet ride, to a magical castle that anything can happen in Britain, even through a wardrobe to a land far away and draft them in the battle of a lifetime. But what is even more fascinating is that unlike humans, the words on the page never changes. From this moment to 200 years from now, the words on this page will always be the same, it is only the reader and the world around them that changes. Take for example Mary Shelley s Frankenstein. In 1818, Shelley had a nightmare that lead her to write her novel as a personification of the Victorian Culture s fascination of science and death. In 1934, director James Whaleadapted the material into The Bride of Frankensteinfilm, and was an allegory for pre WWII unity, then in 1997, someone interpreted the film as a homosexual allegory for the 1990 s. This paper will examine how Mary Shelley adapted her nightmare into an allegory for her Victorian era audience, how James Whale used her original text to turn The Bride of Frankenstein into a message of unity for a pre WWII audience, as well as how Garry Morris uses Whale s film to create a pro same sex marriage message out of the text in 1997. Mary Shelley adapted her nightmare of a mad scientist bringing a dead body back to life, into a text that reflects Victorian Customs is by featuring the importance of education in Victorian society as

The majority of good hearted citizens would be appalled if they were walking down a street and saw a dog tied up in a yard looking like it hadn t eaten for a week. Who do the citizen call when they are being treated like the dog and the owner of the dog is the United Nations? This is how people around the world are being treated each and every day when their country has an embargo imposed on the resources that are able to enter and exit their country. These embargos create personnel harm to the citizens of the country at the expense of political malfeasance. The United Nations has a greater
  • 14. Memes and Life We have three replicators 1. Genes 2. Memes 3. Fremes (I have called them that). These three replicators are selfish in that they contiuously try to replicate. In the book by Susan Blackmore, it is mentioned that the reason why we cannot stop thinking is because there are too many memes in our memory that can find their place in the brain. Hence, we continuously keep on thinking, but at the cost of higher energy requirements. Indeed, thinking utilizes more brain power which in turn requires more oxygen for which more blood flow is required. Hence, in a nutshell, the more we think the more energy we consume and the more the genetically weaker our genes become as we are wasting more energy. What we see here that these... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Hence, let us see how ideally we should be able to control these memes. We need to control the gene replication. For this, the simple idea is not to produce offsprings. Simple. We need to control the meme replication. For this, we need to try to stop thinking. Difficult, but practice makes us perfect, or so they say. We need to control freme replication. For this, let me take you on this concept of a time machine. The photon clock example. Yes. As our speed increases, the value of the time decreases. This is all hypothetical and yes, impossible too. Later, I will explain why. Nevertheless, the analogy is interesting. We are saying that the longer the time the lesser number of ticks and hence smaller the value of time. This way. So the longer the time, the more the control as you could possibly do things more dexterously. So in order to control fremes, we need to decrease the meme activity and increase the freme activity, i.e. decrease the value of time as frequency = 1/ Time. So, what do we collect from all this? In order to reach a higher state we should ideally be away from the greed of This is what the ideal life of a saint is explained in the Jain text. Indeed, there are various levels of spirituality explained in Jainism. You should not have a family, go to an isolated place where you do not have anyone telling you things or you telling them things. And then, concentrate and meditate continuously to
  • 15. Adversity in Life Elicits Unknown Talents and Strength Essay Who we really are, what our real character is only truly elicited when we are challenged, as a proverb states, In the darkest hour shines the brightest light. Our true character shines through when we are pushed to our extremes and are placed in situations outside of the norm. Horace claims that when someone is faced with an adversity or a challenge, they are more likely to discover talents that they thought they never had. I agree with his claim that adversity breeds talents and strengthens our character, but still understand the importance of prosperity in developing talents. The modern world has an abundance of prosperity; many countries are now affluent. In these prosperous circumstances talents stay hidden, but countries like Nepal, ... I was then taken to the hospital, because the nurse feared a concussion. My character was strengthened
  • 16. Martin Heidigger s Response To Modernity Analysis To understand Martin Heidigger s response to Modernity one would have to examine the relationship between their notions of Man. Martin Heidigger s concept of Man, a being in the world, is very different from the Modern view of man as a thinking being. One believes that understanding comes from a purely subject object perspective wherein the understanding of the world around us is performed by our internal, completely separate, I because it is perfect and known innately while the other believes that to be a being is to actively Be , which is the same as Heidigger s notion of Being, and to Be is to exist or to be engaged in the world therefore connecting being, Being and the world forming the concept of Dasein or a being in the world. To understand Heidigger s response one would have to first understand what it is he s responding to. Cogito Ergo Sum summarizes what the Cartesian man is all about. ( Craft Brewer ) The craft beer industry is rapidly increasing in size and the beers within it tend to be more expensive, but little academic research exists on the perceived quality of craft versus mainstream beers. Craft beer is widely seen as generally better than mainstream American beers such as Budweiser, Coors, and Miller, but no academic research exists to determine how expectations of differences between craft and mainstream beer based only on being labeled as craft can effect perceived quality and flavor. People s expectations have widely been shown to influence both flavor experiences and neural responding. Plassman and others (2008) demonstrated this using wine, by presenting wine to participants that

The existence of this process may explain the meaning of dreams in human beings (Winston, 1989). For humans, it could be that our innermost thought transpose 2 into our dreams. When we re awake, we have to concentrate on being a rational, self aware, and an accepting member of society. It is up to teachers to give students the skills to set up and solve algorithms that will help to build their math confidence and motivate them to expand on what they have learned. Teaching the concept of integers and number theory is a fundamental part of math curriculum. The ability of a professional mathematics teacher to tie in real world experiences, using hand on activities and manipulatives is essential in enabling students to build on mathematic ideas and understand how they interconnect. Also important is the concept of rational numbers as fractions, decimals, and real numbers. Teachers need to help ease the transition from whole numbers by clearly explaining the new rules and definitions students are unfamiliar with. By teaching the importance of ratios, proportions, proportional reasoning, percents, and their real life applications, teachers are giving students the skills they need to become productive members of society. Proportional reasoning is one of the big ideas in math and if students are able to grasp this concept, they will be able to apply it in many instances in their lives. Teachers can assist students with this by providing interesting, well thought out problems that represent situations students will encounter in the future. This course influenced my philosophy on teaching math by helping me realize how important

  • 31. Dubliners By James Joyce s Dubliners In James Joyce s Dubliners, the reader experiences the different lives of Dublin s inhabitants. Each Dubliner has different problems, fears, hopes, and dreams, which allows culminates into many different perspectives. Joyce masterfully writes the daily lives of these people without any romanticism. The Dublinersstories are a small snippet into their full lives, while the reader does not get the full story, he does not need to. Not much may seem to happen in the stories, but profound themes and messages are hidden beneath the words. In the story An Encounter, a group of boys imagine they are in the Wild West, while staging mock battles of cowboys vs. Indians. The story includes many encounters that present themselves as ordinary; however this is far from true. In fact, the story is largely commentating on often mocking Irish religious life and escapism. In the beginning of the story one of the boys, Leo Dillon, is scolded by Father Butler for reading The Half Penny Marvel. Father Butler considers the comic as nonsense and tells Leo that his Roman History is far more cultured and important (Joyce 12). A religious figure like Father Butler is common among Joyce s works, as he has always shown contempt for religion. In a sense, Father Butler creates structure for the boys, but it is monotonous and rigid. Clearly Father Butler does not approve of Leo s fascinations for the Wild West so he condemns him. The lack of support for imagination or freedom is snuffed out by a

The rule established in Ryland s and fletcher is that anything likely to cause mischief, if it escapes refers to beasts, or water, or filth, or stenches. • 42. Gas Transportation Methods Of Natural Gas GAS TRANSPORTATION METHODS Natural gas is a clean and environmental friendly energy source which is estimated to constitute a major part of world energy consumption in the coming years. Usage of natural gas is increasing due to its relatively cheaper costs than diesel or gasoline. Transportation and Storage falls under the final stage of Oil and Gas processing where it gets transported to the end user for further use in industry, plant or any other facility. Transportation of natural gasremains as a challenge due to its isolated reserves throughout the world. Natural gas has more problems in transportation and storage when compared to other forms of energy such as petroleum, coal etc. The main reason is due to the energy density of natural gas which is low at ambient temperatures and pressures (Kidnay et al. 2011). So in order to transport the gas by pipeline, its energy density has to be increased using high pressures. Another problem of Natural gas due to its low energy density, lies in its storage. Natural gas is highly volatile and sophisticated storage facilities are to be provided to prevent any hazards. Therefore natural gas has to be transported continuously to the end user avoiding reasons for storage. When there is less demand for its usage, natural gas has to be converted to Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) and then stored. Otherwise transportation of natural gas is carried out in different ways such as: 1. Pipelines 2. Compressed Natural gas (CNG) 3. Liquefied

Retrieved February 22, 2014, from http://www groups.dcs.st and.ac.uk/~history /Mathematicians/Al Biruni.html Though astrology is considered a field that lacks rationality astronomy is considered a discipline in science that is rather well established (Abu 2014). This was not true in the ancient times as the two were highly intertwined. Hence the need for scholars who would distinguish between the two, one such scholar whose work this research expects alludes to is from Al Biruni. Al Biruni born in Khawrazm in Karakaplakstan spent most of his lifetime in the Indian subcontinent and in central Asia. He was one among distinguished scholars who were associated with the court of King Mahmoud Ghaznawi, a widely known Muslim king of 11th century. Upon his return from India, Al Biruni wrote a book whereby he discusses various theorems pertaining to astronomy, trigonometry, and lunar, solar and planetary motions. In his books he also discusses the fact that the earth rotates on its own axis and he provides the correct latitudes and longtitudes of a couple of places (Abu 2014). He also contributed in coming up with a complete description to the Hindu positional principle of numeration, and he played a pivotal role in proving Heron s formula and Brahmagupta s generalization. The Role Of Sex Trafficking In Ontario Ontario is the largest domestic sex trafficking province in Canada, however the government spends less than any other province in preventative measures and treatment options and the general population remains largely unaware of the crimes that occur within their own cities. Our perception that these crimes, called The Game do not exist near us is a disastrous myth because it enables traffickers to find more susceptible victims and allows the government to deprioritize the problem. For example, there are no shelters that cater towards freed sex traffickers in Ontario, instead these individuals are sent to B.C. or other provinces for care. This isn t due to a lack of interest among citizens, former victims and other corporations have started
  • 45. Important Qualities For Potential Employers The first step to planning your career is to examine who you are as an individual, what you know about yourself, and what you want and need. You will then have the upper hand over your fellow students by being able to choose a career field in which you are truly happy to be in. These two qualities are the most important qualities for potential employers. Then even if the career field you have chosen has a lot of competition you will have the advantage of having the upper hand, because of you commitment, devotion, and eagerness for what you wantto do. Now after reading this chapter I took a few key things from it; for instance, I have learned that a job is just a stepping stone and not a lifelong thing. While a career is something you like doing, and specialized in through college and is meant to be done throughout the rest of your life. By now having this information it has helped me narrow down the field in mechanical engineering that I wish to work in, which is automotive engineering. Another thing that has stuck with me is appreciating the differences in the generations of people and how much of each one makes up the work force. An example of this is, the Millennials/ Gen Y (My generation), we want jobs on our own terms with opportunities to make differences, get educated, grow , and just have a good time. Each generation has something that makes them unique, and knowing that can improve your chances of being successful in your career field, because you can get along
