This document analyzes fluid flow around a circular cylinder at low Reynolds numbers through numerical simulation. It discusses governing equations, previous related work studying effects of Reynolds number and cylinder orientation, and findings of the current study. The study numerically simulates flow at Reynolds numbers of 200, 500, and 1000 with cylinder angles of 0°, 5°, and 10° and computes pressure, drag coefficients, and vortex shedding. It finds that flow remains steady at Reynolds 100-200 but becomes unsteady at higher Reynolds numbers and angles of attack.
