In the present work, the enhancement of natural convection heat transfer utilizing nano fluids as working fluid from horizontal circular cylinder situated in a square enclosure is investigated numerically. Different types of nano particles were tested. The types of the nano fluids are Cu, Al2O3 and TiO3 with water as base fluid. A model is developed to analyze heat transfer performance of nano fluids inside an enclosure taking into account the solid particle dispersionrs on the flow and heat
transfer characteristics.
NUMERICAL INVESTIGATION OF NATURAL CONVECTION HEAT TRANSFERFROM SQUARE CYLIND...ijmech
The enhancement of natural convection heat transfer using nanofluids from horizontal square cylinder
placed in a square enclosure is investigated numerically. Water-based Cu is used as the working nanofluid.
The investigation covered a range of Rayleigh numbers of 104
- 106
, nanoparticles volume fraction of
(0<ϕ≤0.2), enclosure width to cylinder height ratio, W/H of 2.5. The investigation includes the solution of
the governing equations in the Vorticity-Stream function space with the aid of a body fitted coordinate
system. Algebraic grid generation is used in the initial transformations, followed by an elliptic
transformation to complete the grid generation to computational domain. The resulting discretized system
of equations is solved using an ADI method. The built code is validated and the results showed an increase
in average Nusselt number with increasing the volume fraction of the nanoparticles for the whole range of
Rayleigh number. The isotherms are nearly similar when the volume fraction of nanoparticles is increased
from 0 to 0.2 for each Rayleigh number but a change in the streamlines is observed.
Computational Analysis of Natural Convection in Spherical Annulus Using FEVIJMER
HEAT transfer by natural convection from a body to its finite enclosure is of importance
in nuclear reactor technology, electronic instrumentation packaging, aircraft cabin design, the
analysis of fluid suspension gyrocompasses, and numerous other practical situations. The steady
natural convection heat transfer of fluids between two concentric isothermal spheres is investigated
computationally with the help of FEV in ANSYS 14.5. The inner wall is subjected to a higher
temperature and outer is at room temperature. The steady behavior of the flow field and its
subsequent effect on the temperature distribution for different Rayleigh numbers and radius ratios
are analyzed.
Bossious boundary condition is taken for natural convection and which is solved in fluent

radius ratio have a profound influence on the temperature and flow fields and Prandlt number has
very negligible effect. The results of average Nusselt numbers are also compared with those of
previous numerical investigations. Excellent agreement is obtained.

An Experimental Research on Heat Transfer Enhancement of a Circular Tube with...IRJESJOURNAL
ABSTRACT:- In the literature, internal tube baffles are widely studied. There is a lack of data for baffles mounted on outside of the tubes. This study aims to fill this gap. Therefore, the effect of baffle inclination angles on heat transfer improvement has been studied experimentally. The experiments were carried out for forced convection of air on a circular tube with inclined baffles. Air has been used as the cold fluid. Experimental results for eight different velocities of air flow (2 – 20 m/s) are presented. Pitch between baffles is 12 mm.The baffle inclination angles with respect to the tube axis were 45º, 60º and 80º. Water temperature is fixed as 65 °C. According to the experimental results, the baffles with an inclination angle of 45º enhance the heat transfer over 60º and 80º around 13.7 % and 10.5 %, respectively. However, pressure drop values for 45º and 60º are 18 % higher than pressure drop values for 80º. The empirical correlations of the Nusselt number have also been obtained for each angle.

Numerical investigation of unsteady natural convection flow through a fluid-saturated porous
medium in a cubic enclosure which is induced by time-periodic variations in the surface temperature of a
vertical wall was considered. The governing equations were written under the assumption of Darcy-law and
then solved numerically using finite difference method. The problem is analyzed for different values of
amplitude a in the range 0.2 ≤ a ≤ 0.8, the Rayleigh number, Ra=200, Period, τ = 0.01, time, 0 ≤ t ≤ 0.024. It
was found that heat transfer increases with increasing the amplitude. The location of the maximum fluid
temperature moves with time according to the periodically changing heated wall temperature. Two main cells
rotating in opposite direction to each other were observed in the cavity for all values of the parameters
considered. The amplitude of Nusselt number increases with the increase in the oscillating amplitude. All the
results of the problem were presented in graphical form and discussed.

Film Condensation Behaviour of Steam on Isothermal Walls in Presence of Non-C...ijceronline
Numerical modelling of condensation had been a challenging task for the researchers for many years due to its time scale and rapidity. Present work deals with the characterization of condensation in presence of non-condensable gases on isothermal surfaces which is a common situation in many condensing devices. The investigation includes the effect of different flow parameters on condensation of saturated steam-air mixture using a numerical approach. The study uses wall condensation model through ANSYS CFX solver. The effect of mass fraction of steam, operating pressure and mass flow rate of mixture is studied. Investigation provides some key characteristics about film condensation which normally remain absent in condensation without non-condensable gas. The findings of this study will provide valuable insight in thermal design process of components incorporating this phenomenon.
Effect Of Cuo-Distilled Water Based Nanofluids On Heat Transfer Characteristi...IJERA Editor
In this paper, the heat transfer and pressure drop characteristics of the distilled water and the copper oxide-distilled water based nanofluid flowing in a horizontal circular pipe under constant heat flux condition are studied. Copper oxide nanoparticles of 40nm size are dispersed in distilled water using sodium dodecyl sulphate as surfactant and sonicated the nanofluid for three hour. Both surfactant and sonication increases the stability of the nanofluid. The nanofluids are made in three different concentration i.e. 0.1 Vol. %, 0.25 Vol. % and 0.50 Vol. %. The thermal conductivity is measured by KD2 PRO, density with pycnometer, viscosity with Brookfield LVDV-III rheometer. The results show that the thermal conductivity increases with both temperature and concentration. The viscosity and density increases with concentration but decreases with temperature. The specific heat is calculated by model and it decreases with concentration. The experimental local Nusselt number of distilled water is compared with local Nusselt number obtained by the well known shah equation for laminar flow under constant heat flux condition for validation of the experimental set up. The relative error is 4.48 % for the Reynolds number 750.9. The heat transfer coefficient increases with increase in both flow rate and concentration. It increases from 14.33 % to 46.1 % when the concentration is increased from 0.1 Vol. % to 0.5 Vol. % at 20 LPH flow rate. Friction factor decreases with increase in flow rate. It decreases 66.54 % when the flow rate increases from 10 LPH to 30 LPH for 0.1 Vol. %.

In this paper, the natural convection heat transfer in a cubic enclosure provided with
inclined baffles attached to the two adiabatic sides, heated from the bottom is studied
experimentally and numerically to assess the effect of the baffles on the heat transfer
process inside the enclosure. Two different configurations have been considered. The first
configuration corresponds to the heated from the bottom with uniform heat flux using two
baffles attached to the left and right walls, while the second configuration corresponding
that the enclosure’s floor has parallel bands that are heated to a constant, high
temperature and the bands are separated by gaps that are kept at a lower temperature
that is also constant and single baffle attached to the left wall. In both cases, the top wall
is kept at a lower temperature than the bottom wall and the inclined baffles are well
covered with an insulating material. The inclination angles of the baffles range as (0o ≤
and ≥ 150o). The governing parameter, Rayleigh number, is fixed within 2.6x1011. In
numerical solution, a commercial software package has been used for a 2-D computation,
and the effect of turbulence is modelled by using (k-ε) model. Depending on its
orientation, the partial baffle has been found to change significantly the flow field which
in turn causes a reduction to the heat exchange inside the enclosure due to the damping
caused to the flow field. For all cases, the insulated baffle with any inclination angle
caused a reduction to the heat exchange inside the enclosure due to the damping caused
to the flow field. Also, a good agreement has been obtained between experimental
measurements and numerical results

Effect of nanofluid on heat transfer characteristics of double pipe heat exch...eSAT Journals
Abstract A nanofluid is a mixture of nano sized particles of size up to 100 nm and a base fluid. Typical nanoparticles are made of metals, oxides or carbides, while base fluids may be water, ethylene glycol or oil. The effect of nanofluid to enhance the heat transfer rate in various heat exchangers is experimentally evaluated recently. The heat transfer enhancement using nanofluid mainly depends on type of nanoparticles, size of nanoparticles and concentration of nanoparticles in base fluid. In the present paper, an experimental investigation is carried out to determine the effect of various concentration of Al2O3 nano-dispersion mixed in water as base fluid on heat transfer characteristics of double pipe heat exchanger for parallel flow and counter flow arrangement. The volume concentrations of Al2O3 nanofluid prepared are 0.001 % to 0.01 %. The conclusion derived for the study is that overall heat transfer coefficient increases with increase in volume concentration of Al2O3 nano-dispersion compared to water up to volume concentration of 0.008 % and then decreases. Mixed Convection of Variable Properties Al2O3-EG-Water Nanofluid in a Two-Dim...A Behzadmehr
In this paper, mixed convection of Al2O3-EG-Water nanofluid in a square lid-driven enclosure is investigated numerically. The focus of this study is on the effects of variable thermophysical properties of the nanofluid on the heat transfer characteristics. The top moving and the bottom stationary horizontal walls are insulated, while the vertical walls are kept at different constant temperatures. The study is carried out for Richardson numbers of 0.01–1000, the solid volume fractions of 0–0.05 and the Grashof number of 104. The transport equations are solved numerically with a finite volume approach using the SIMPLER algorithm. The results show that the Nusselt number is mainly affected by the viscosity, density and conductivity variations. For low Richardson numbers, although viscosity increases by increasing the nanoparticles volume fraction, due to high intensity convection of enhanced conductivity nanofluid, the average Nusselt number increases for both constant and variable cases. However, for high Richardson numbers, as the volume fraction of nanoparticles increases heat transfer enhancement occurs for the constant properties cases but deterioration in heat transfer occurs for the variable properties cases. The distinction is due to underestimation of viscosity of the nanofluid by the constant viscosity model in the constant properties cases and states important effects of temperature dependency of thermophysical properties, in particular the viscosity distribution in the domain.
Evaluation of Shell and Tube Heat Exchanger Performance by Using ZnO/Water Na...Barhm Mohamad
To examine and investigate the impact of nanofluid on heat exchanger performance, including the total heat transfer, the effect of friction factor, the average Nusselt number, and the thermal efficiency, the output heat transfers of a shell and tube heat exchanger using ZnO nanoparticles suspended in water has been conducted numerically. The governing equations were solved using finite volume techniques and CFD simulations with ANSYS/FLUENT Solver 2021. The nanoparticles volume fractions adopted are 0.2% and 0.35% that used in numerical computations under 200 to 1400 Reynolds numbers range. The increasing of temperature is approximately 13% from the bottom to the top of heat exchanger, while the maximum enhancement of Nusselt number is about 10%, 19% for volume fractions 0.2% and 0.35% respectively. The elevated values of the friction factor at the volumetric ratios of 0.2% and 0.35% are 0.25% and 0.47% respectively. The findings demonstrate that the performance efficiency of shell and tube heat exchanger is enhanced due to the increase in Nusselt number.
Suspended nanoparticles in conventional fluids,
called nanofluids, have been the subject of intensive study
worldwide since pioneering researchers recently discovered the
anomalous thermal behavior of these fluids. The heat transfer from
smaller area is achieved through microchannels. The heat transfer
principle states that maximum heat transfer is achieved in
microchannels with maximum pressure drop across it. In this
research work the experimental and numerical investigation for
the improved heat transfer characteristics of serpentine shaped
microchannel heat sink using Al2O3/water nanofluid is done. The
fluid flow characteristics is also analyzed for the serpentine
shaped micrchannel. The experimental results of the heat
transfer using Al2O3 nanofluid is compared with the numerical
values. The calculations in this work suggest that the best heat
transfer enhancement can be obtained by using a system with an
Al2O3–water nanofluid-cooled micro channel with serpentine
shaped fluid flow
A Review on Study of Heat Transfer Analysis of Helical Coil Heat Exchangersijtsrd
Now a day’s a geometrically modified Helical coil heat exchangers are widely using in industrial applications like cryogenic state processes, air conditioning, thermal nuclear reactors and waste heat recovery due to their compact size and high heat transfer coefficient. Advantage of using helical coils over straight tubes is that the residence time spread is reduced, allowing helical coils to be used to reduce axial dispersion in tubular reactors. In this study, numerical investigation of the influence of geometrical parameters such as tube diameter d , coil radius R , and coil pitch p on overall heat transfer coefficient in helical double tube heat exchangers are performed using a professional CFD software FLUENT. In recent years, numerous styles were introduced for heat exchangers that apply to completely different applications sadly, their heat transfer co efficient wasnt reliable at different operational conditions. the standard of the heat changed rate wasnt optimized and there have been many deficiencies and errors in styles. The heat transfer of the copper material is enhanced in comparison with other material unfortunately thermal resistance is reduced with an increase in pressure drop thus enhancing the heat transfer on the heat exchanger. Helical architecture is often designed with a clear motive of compact size and also address heat transfer co efficient and other ancillary attributes efficiently and effectively. So the better material is suggested for an industrial heat exchanger according to the applications is Copper with the basis of simulation results. The geometry and different dimension parameter of the helical coil show that the proposed study in different material properties and different mass flow rates to heat transfer are maximum in different parameter helical coil heat exchangers. Finally, the heat transfer increase for the copper material compared to another material but with the increase in pressure drop the corresponding thermal resistance decreases which allow the improved heat transfer rate and the rate increases from Aluminum to Bronze to Copper. With the drop in temperature, the thermal resistance is reduced which enhances the heat transfer rate. The simulation results show that the copper has a high heat transfer coefficient than Aluminum and Bronze while operating in identical conditions. Due to the extensive use of helical coils in various applications, knowledge about the flow patterns and heat transfer characteristics are important. BROAD UNEXPOSED SKILLS OF TRANSGENDER ENTREPRENEURSIAEME Publication
Since ages gender difference is always a debatable theme whether caused by nature, evolution or environment. The birth of a transgender is dreadful not only for the child but also for their parents. The pain of living in the wrong physique and treated as second class victimized citizen is outrageous and fully harboured with vicious baseless negative scruples. For so long, social exclusion had perpetuated inequality and deprivation experiencing ingrained malign stigma and besieged victims of crime or violence across their life spans. They are pushed into the murky way of life with a source of eternal disgust, bereft sexual potency and perennial fear. Although they are highly visible but very little is known about them. The common public needs to comprehend the ravaged arrogance on these insensitive souls and assist in integrating them into the mainstream by offering equal opportunity, treat with humanity and respect their dignity. Entrepreneurship in the current age is endorsing the gender fairness movement. Unstable careers and economic inadequacy had inclined one of the gender variant people called Transgender to become entrepreneurs. These tiny budding entrepreneurs resulted in economic transition by means of employment, free from the clutches of stereotype jobs, raised standard of living and handful of financial empowerment. Besides all these inhibitions, they were able to witness a platform for skill set development that ignited them to enter into entrepreneurial domain. This paper epitomizes skill sets involved in trans-entrepreneurs of Thoothukudi Municipal Corporation of Tamil Nadu State and is a groundbreaking determination to sightsee various skills incorporated and the impact on entrepreneurship.

Living in 21st century in itself reminds all of us the necessity of police and its administration. As more and more we are entering into the modern society and culture, the more we require the services of the so called ‘Khaki Worthy’ men i.e., the police personnel. Whether we talk of Indian police or the other nation’s police, they all have the same recognition as they have in India. But as already mentioned, their services and requirements are different after the like 26th November, 2008 incidents, where they without saving their own lives has sacrificed themselves without any hitch and without caring about their respective family members and wards. In other words, they are like our heroes and mentors who can guide us from the darkness of fear, militancy, corruption and other dark sides of life and so on. Now the question arises, if Gandhi would have been alive today, what would have been his reaction/opinion to the police and its functioning? Would he have some thing different in his mind now what he had been in his mind before the partition or would he be going to start some Satyagraha in the form of some improvement in the functioning of the police administration? Really these questions or rather night mares can come to any one’s mind, when there is too much confusion is prevailing in our minds, when there is too much corruption in the society and when the polices working is also in the questioning because of one or the other case throughout the India. It is matter of great concern that we have to thing over our administration and our practical approach because the police personals are also like us, they are part and parcel of our society and among one of us, so why we all are pin pointing towards them.
