2. What is nuclear
energy?
Nuclear energy is the power
that is released from atoms. It
is the most powerful source of
energy. It is nuclear energy
that powers our sun. The
energy is released through
atomic fission in which atoms
split into their constituent parts.
At present, nuclear power
plants derive the energy
through atomic fission.
3. How is nuclear power produced?
Nuclear power stations produce energy in
much same way as those using fossil fuels.
Both types use heat energy to make steam,
which turns the turbines that generate the
heat.
