POLICY  QUALITY  INDEX (PQI) • PQI  was  developed  in  2016 • PQI  is  an  instrument  to  assess  the  quality   of  government  policies  seen  from  the   process  of  policy  making  and  how  to  carry   out  the  agenda  setting,  formulation,   implementation  and  evaluation  process. • The  purpose  of  PQI  is  to  encourage  the   strengthening  of  participation  and  the   principles  of  good  governance  in  the  public   policy  making  process. FINDINGS  and  LESSONS  LEARNED • Mostly  there  are  no  studies  and  analysis  were  made  for   decision  making • The  policy  has  not  provided  adequate  support  for  vulnerable   groups • In  planning  policy  does  not  involve  the  public  in  its  decision   making • Both  Central  Government  and  Local  Government  need  to   manage  the  knowledge  in  policy  making  process • Some  of  the  policy  implementations  can  stimulate  other   added  values   such  as  preserving  natural  resources CARING INNOVATIVE INTEGRITY PROFESSIONAL
