This document presents a protocol for a project on developing a topical liquid body wash containing extracts of Ashwagandha and Senna Alata plants for anti-acne and antimicrobial activity. The protocol outlines the need for the study, aims, objectives, methodology including extract preparation and standardization, formulation development, evaluation of antimicrobial activity, and stability studies. It also provides a literature review on previous studies related to uses of Ashwagandha, Senna Alata and other herbal extracts for skin applications and antimicrobial activity. The overall goal is to design, characterize and evaluate a polyherbal liquid body wash for anti-acne and antimicrobial properties.
