• Industrial Visits is like a school trip. Students get elated
by the idea of visiting an
unknown place outside their college. Even if that place is
an industry. It is like exploring
a new world by itself. Industrial visits have become an
essential part of many graduate
and post-graduate courses in colleges
WHY INDUSTRIAL VISIT…?
• Industrial visit is the first point of contact of a student towards
the corporal world. It gives a glimpse into the core industrial
life beyond academics.
• It offers first-hand exposure to the business operations and
processes in that workplace. It helps in bridging the gap
between academics and corporate for the successful transition
of students into capable employees
BENEFITS OF INDUSTRIAL VISIT
AND FIELD VISIT
• Learning exposure:
• Industrial visits are educational tours that let students see the
operations, workstations, plants, machines, assembly lines, and
management of industry and meet experienced professionals.
• Experiences/complements the theory they have learned so far by
seeing the processes up close.
• A lot can be understood by observation than words in a book.
• Learn about the policies and the working schedules of that industry.
• Ultimately helps them build their confidence for their future as what
seemed far-fetched earlier isn’t so anymore.

Previous Industrial & Field Visits
One-day field visit was arranged to Shri Bhavani Pharmaceuticals located at KIADB Industrial Area,
Rayapur, Dharwad of Karnataka State on 27th February, 2021 for Pharm D IV and VI year students
and on 28th December 2021 for V Semester B. Pharm students. This facility is WHO-GMP and ISO
9001:2008 certified has state of the art manufacturing facility that specializes in manufacturing of
Injectables (small volume parenterals). This facility covers wide therapeutic range of products that
includes Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drugs, Cardiovascular, Vitamins and Anti-Bacterials.
During this visit students had real time experience of departments viz., dispensing, manufacturing,
quality control and packaging sections.
Previous Industrial & Field Visits
One-day field visit was arranged to Sanjeevini Ayurveda Medical College and Hospital
“Vishwashrama Chetana”, Dr. K. S. Sharma Campus, Basaveshwar Nagar, Gokul Road,
Hubballi, Karnataka on 02nd March, 2021 for Pharm D and M.Pharm students. During
this visit, students visited all the departments and Herbal Garden of the college and
interacted with the faculty members and research scholars. Students were delighted to
explore various departments namely Panchakarma, Kayachikitsa, Rasashastra and
Bhaishajya Kalpana.
INDUSTRIAL TRAINING
• What do you mean by Industrial Training?
• Industrial training specify a program in which target to
afford supervised practical training within a described
time frame. This training can be carried out either in
government organizations or in the private sectors.
WHY INDUSTRIAL TRAINING IS
IMPORTANT FOR STUDENTS?
• Importance of Industrial training….
Industrial training, where a student initiate
a period of training with an organization
generally during a semester break, act as
essential part in preparing the student for
a professional career.
WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF
INDUSTRIAL TRAINING?
• The main objective of Industrial Training is to
disclose the students to actual working
environment and increase their awareness and
skill from what they have learned in the college.
• Another purpose of this program is to instill the
good aspects of integrity, liabilities and self
courage.
BENEFITS OF INDUSTRIAL
TRAINING
• Apply your technical knowledge and
Pharmaceutical approach to real life situations.
• Work with other pharmaceutical professionals.
• Experience what it is like to work in a
professional organization.
• Enhance your communication, interpersonal,
technical skills both oral and written.
CRITERIAS FOR INDUSTRIAL TRAINING
CURRICULUM
• Every candidate shall be required to work for at least
150 hours for 4 weeks in pharmaceutical industry.
• It includes production unit, Quality control
department, Quality assurance department, Analytical
laboratory, Chemical manufacturing unit,
Pharmaceutical R & D, Hospital( Clinical Pharmacy),
Clinical research organization, community pharmacy
,etc.
• After SEM-VI and before Commencement of SEM- VII
and shall submit the report of such work and
certificate duly signed by the authority.

It gives a glimpse into the core industrial life beyond academics. • It offers first-hand exposure to the business operations and processes in that workplace. It helps in bridging the gap between academics and corporate for the successful transition of students into capable employees

Previous Industrial & Field Visits One-day field visit was arranged to Shri Bhavani Pharmaceuticals located at KIADB Industrial Area, Rayapur, Dharwad of Karnataka State on 27th February, 2021 for Pharm D IV and VI year students and on 28th December 2021 for V Semester B. Pharm students. This facility is WHO-GMP and ISO 9001:2008 certified has state of the art manufacturing facility that specializes in manufacturing of Injectables (small volume parenterals). This facility covers wide therapeutic range of products that includes Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drugs, Cardiovascular, Vitamins and Anti-Bacterials. During this visit students had real time experience of departments viz., dispensing, manufacturing, quality control and packaging sections.
  • 24. Previous Industrial & Field Visits One-day field visit was arranged to Sanjeevini Ayurveda Medical College and Hospital “Vishwashrama Chetana”, Dr. K. S. Sharma Campus, Basaveshwar Nagar, Gokul Road, Hubballi, Karnataka on 02nd March, 2021 for Pharm D and M.Pharm students. During this visit, students visited all the departments and Herbal Garden of the college and interacted with the faculty members and research scholars. Students were delighted to explore various departments namely Panchakarma, Kayachikitsa, Rasashastra and Bhaishajya Kalpana.
  • 25. INDUSTRIAL TRAINING • What do you mean by Industrial Training? • Industrial training specify a program in which target to afford supervised practical training within a described time frame. This training can be carried out either in government organizations or in the private sectors.
  • 26. WHY INDUSTRIAL TRAINING IS IMPORTANT FOR STUDENTS? • Importance of Industrial training…. Industrial training, where a student initiate a period of training with an organization generally during a semester break, act as essential part in preparing the student for a professional career.

WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF INDUSTRIAL TRAINING? • The main objective of Industrial Training is to disclose the students to actual working environment and increase their awareness and skill from what they have learned in the college. • Another purpose of this program is to instill the good aspects of integrity, liabilities and self courage.

CRITERIAS FOR INDUSTRIAL TRAINING CURRICULUM • Every candidate shall be required to work for at least 150 hours for 4 weeks in pharmaceutical industry. • It includes production unit, Quality control department, Quality assurance department, Analytical laboratory, Chemical manufacturing unit, Pharmaceutical R & D, Hospital( Clinical Pharmacy), Clinical research organization, community pharmacy ,etc. • After SEM-VI and before Commencement of SEM- VII and shall submit the report of such work and certificate duly signed by the authority.
