This document proposes a traffic simulation system for Sylhet to address traffic congestion issues. It identifies several major problems causing congestion in Sylhet, including improper lane management, encroachment of roads, improper enforcement of traffic rules, lack of coordination between regulatory authorities, poor transportation infrastructure planning, and availability of rickshaws without route restrictions. The proposal suggests solutions like using fences in major turning points to prevent parking and shops, better coordination of traffic light timing, delineating lanes by vehicle size and speed, and adding lanes where possible. It provides before and after illustrations of how these solutions could help at congested locations in Sylhet like Ambor Khana, Subid Bazar, Chowhatta Point, and R

RV 2015: Sustainable Corridors: Broad and Specific Looks by David Leard, AICPRail~Volution
What does it mean to build a sustainable corridor? How do you honor the overall goal of conserving resources, but also engage stakeholders to develop the right type of project for their community? Take a wider look at the national perspective on building sustainable corridors. What is being done across the country to conserve resources and involve communities in these efforts? Then hear stories about a successful sustainable corridor in Portland; Albuquerque's BRT project; and an urban green plan to transform existing park-and-ride lots along Los Angeles' growing transit network into more sustainable places.

Problems and Prospects of Tourism Industry at Sylhet Region in Bangladeshiosrjce
Tourism is not only a concept of enjoyment or travelling or passing the holidays, but also a
development concept and it has now been placed a wider significance among the mass people, government and
development planner in Bangladesh. Sylhet has a bright prospect to develop its tourism sectors as its treasures
weather it is going to miserable situation in the absence of proper plan and realistic steps. The aim of the
research is to investigate the problems and prospects to flourish the tourism sector in this region. Quantitative
method has been used in this study to investigate the research problems based on survey method. The tourists
are found very enthusiastic to get test of visiting different places and this study results some good indications for
improving tourism sectors. However, in order to make Bangladesh a tourism friendly nation, a renovation of
tourism policy, which should be in tune with the new national economic, social, environmental policies and
trends and the government should monitor all actors and factors related to tourism sector in Bangladesh.
HARDWARE ACCELERATION OF THE GIPPS MODEL FOR REAL-TIME TRAFFIC SIMULATIONijesajournal
Traffic simulation software is becoming increasingly popular as more cities worldwide use it to better manage their crowded traffic networks. An important requirement for such software is the ability to produce accurate results in real time, requiring great computation resources. This work proposes an ASICbased hardware accelerated approach for the AIMSUN traffic simulator, taking advantage of repetitive tasks in the algorithm. Different system configurations using this accelerator are also discussed. Compared with the traditional software simulator, it has been found to improve the performance by as much as 9x when using a single processing element approach, or more depending on the chosen hardware configuration.

Ppp for public bicycle sharing and parking management in kharghar navi mumbai...Avinash Shabade
PPP for Kharghar Node (A Nodal Area in Navi Mumbai)
Navi Mumbai is one of the largest planned cities in the world with 344 Sq. km. a conglomerate of 14 nodes, these nodes are independent cities & Kharghar is one of them. The infrastructure problem faced by this node is
1. Efficient local Public transport & feeder transport
2. Illegal on street parking
To address this issue for the local development authority is difficult hence a combined, one of its kind PPP model for Public bicycle sharing and on street parking management is proposed.

Courier management system project report.pdfKamal Acharya
It is now-a-days very important for the people to send or receive articles like imported furniture, electronic items, gifts, business goods and the like. People depend vastly on different transport systems which mostly use the manual way of receiving and delivering the articles. There is no way to track the articles till they are received and there is no way to let the customer know what happened in transit, once he booked some articles. In such a situation, we need a system which completely computerizes the cargo activities including time to time tracking of the articles sent. This need is fulfilled by Courier Management System software which is online software for the cargo management people that enables them to receive the goods from a source and send them to a required destination and track their status from time to time.

Sachpazis:Terzaghi Bearing Capacity Estimation in simple terms with Calculati...Dr.Costas Sachpazis
Terzaghi's soil bearing capacity theory, developed by Karl Terzaghi, is a fundamental principle in geotechnical engineering used to determine the bearing capacity of shallow foundations. This theory provides a method to calculate the ultimate bearing capacity of soil, which is the maximum load per unit area that the soil can support without undergoing shear failure. Hybrid optimization of pumped hydro system and solar- Engr. Abdul-Azeez.pdffxintegritypublishin
Advancements in technology unveil a myriad of electrical and electronic breakthroughs geared towards efficiently harnessing limited resources to meet human energy demands. The optimization of hybrid solar PV panels and pumped hydro energy supply systems plays a pivotal role in utilizing natural resources effectively. This initiative not only benefits humanity but also fosters environmental sustainability. The study investigated the design optimization of these hybrid systems, focusing on understanding solar radiation patterns, identifying geographical influences on solar radiation, formulating a mathematical model for system optimization, and determining the optimal configuration of PV panels and pumped hydro storage. Through a comparative analysis approach and eight weeks of data collection, the study addressed key research questions related to solar radiation patterns and optimal system design. The findings highlighted regions with heightened solar radiation levels, showcasing substantial potential for power generation and emphasizing the system's efficiency. Optimizing system design significantly boosted power generation, promoted renewable energy utilization, and enhanced energy storage capacity. The study underscored the benefits of optimizing hybrid solar PV panels and pumped hydro energy supply systems for sustainable energy usage. Optimizing the design of solar PV panels and pumped hydro energy supply systems as examined across diverse climatic conditions in a developing country, not only enhances power generation but also improves the integration of renewable energy sources and boosts energy storage capacities, particularly beneficial for less economically prosperous regions. Additionally, the study provides valuable insights for advancing energy research in economically viable areas. Recommendations included conducting site-specific assessments, utilizing advanced modeling tools, implementing regular maintenance protocols, and enhancing communication among system components.

2. Introduction
Traffic congestion is one of many serious global problems in both
developed and developing countries.
One of the most challenging and complicated issues in city
management in the present decade for Bangladesh is the traffic
problem. It is a very common phenomenon in almost all the cities of
Bangladesh.
Road traffic congestion is a major cause of time killing and increasing
of congestion cost.
Globally about million dollars are wasting for traffic congestion
purpose.
Rapid growth in population, motorization and urbanization causing a
serious challenge for transportation management of congestion and
road safety.
3. Justification
In our daily travel time we face traffic congestion. Most of
the time it occurs at evening. When the truck enter the

4. Improper lane management
The road become narrow for parking vehicle in major
turning point
5. Encroachment of roads and sidewalks
• Many mobile shop & bazar setup on major turning
& roads
7. Lack of integration among regulatory authorities
There is no time combination between the jointed
signals.
8. Poor Transportation and Infrastructure Planning
There is no sub-lane divider according to vehicle
size & speed
9. The roads become narrow for unusual practices
10. Availability of rickshaw
In Sylhet there is no restriction on route of the
rickshaw.
11. Proposal –A solution
Using a fence : using a fence in major turning point. That

Time management : insure the combination of time in
joined turning point.
Make sub lane : In every turning point make sub lane in
