Neuro-linguistic programming (NLP) is a set of techniques, axioms and beliefs, that adherents use primarily as an approach to personal development. NLP was influenced by the ideas of the New Age era as well as beliefs in human potential.
What is NLP? (Neurolinguistic Programming)Jacob Laguerre
This presentation is about Neurolinguistic Programming or NLP for short. NLP was founded by John Grinder and Richard Bandler, back in the 1970s and has since, spread all over the world. Richard has defined NLP as "an attitude, backed by a methodology, that leaves behind a trail of techniques". It is through the use of this novel technology that average people learn how to "run their own brains" and create a subjective reality that enables them to become all that they can be.

UNIQUE APPROACH TO CONTROL SPEECH, SENSORY AND MOTOR NEURONAL DISORDER THROUG...ijnlc
Cognitive science is an effective approach for bringing amentally retarded person in to live normal way of life.Overcoming cognitive disorders involves initiating thegrowth of natural thinking. A large population in thisworld is suffering from cognitive disorders either less ormore. Cognitive disorders can be of due to developmental issue or acquired from illness/accidental. Cognitivedevelopment can be achieved by natural therapy by stimulation of specific neuronal network which are involved in cognition. Brain based skills that
involved inthis make a complex task into simpler task. These skillsshow how we learn, how we think, how we rememberand most importantly how we respond to a specific situation. For instance, perception is the recognition andinterpretation of opinion or in what way you are taking aproblem and solving in which way because a singleproblem solved by different persons in different way ofthinking. In such a situation it is very important to develop basic cognitive abilities in infants in its early developmental stage by providing necessary therapy inchildhood. To bring this reality in society here an attempt will be made to design a virtual therapy devicethat will give the necessary exercises to the infants forgrowth of proper neural
network i.e. brain developmentto overcome mental retardation and cognitive disorder.

The Roman Empire A Historical Colossus.pdfkaushalkr1407
The Roman Empire, a vast and enduring power, stands as one of history's most remarkable civilizations, leaving an indelible imprint on the world. It emerged from the Roman Republic, transitioning into an imperial powerhouse under the leadership of Augustus Caesar in 27 BCE. This transformation marked the beginning of an era defined by unprecedented territorial expansion, architectural marvels, and profound cultural influence.
The empire's roots lie in the city of Rome, founded, according to legend, by Romulus in 753 BCE. Over centuries, Rome evolved from a small settlement to a formidable republic, characterized by a complex political system with elected officials and checks on power. However, internal strife, class conflicts, and military ambitions paved the way for the end of the Republic. Julius Caesar’s dictatorship and subsequent assassination in 44 BCE created a power vacuum, leading to a civil war. Octavian, later Augustus, emerged victorious, heralding the Roman Empire’s birth.
Under Augustus, the empire experienced the Pax Romana, a 200-year period of relative peace and stability. Augustus reformed the military, established efficient administrative systems, and initiated grand construction projects. The empire's borders expanded, encompassing territories from Britain to Egypt and from Spain to the Euphrates. Roman legions, renowned for their discipline and engineering prowess, secured and maintained these vast territories, building roads, fortifications, and cities that facilitated control and integration.
The Roman Empire’s society was hierarchical, with a rigid class system. At the top were the patricians, wealthy elites who held significant political power. Below them were the plebeians, free citizens with limited political influence, and the vast numbers of slaves who formed the backbone of the economy. The family unit was central, governed by the paterfamilias, the male head who held absolute authority.
Culturally, the Romans were eclectic, absorbing and adapting elements from the civilizations they encountered, particularly the Greeks. Roman art, literature, and philosophy reflected this synthesis, creating a rich cultural tapestry. Latin, the Roman language, became the lingua franca of the Western world, influencing numerous modern languages.
Roman architecture and engineering achievements were monumental. They perfected the arch, vault, and dome, constructing enduring structures like the Colosseum, Pantheon, and aqueducts. These engineering marvels not only showcased Roman ingenuity but also served practical purposes, from public entertainment to water supply.

2024.06.01 Introducing a competency framework for languag learning materials ...Sandy Millin
http://sandymillin.wordpress.com/iateflwebinar2024
Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasn’t one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.
Operation “Blue Star” is the only event in the history of Independent India where the state went into war with its own people. Even after about 40 years it is not clear if it was culmination of states anger over people of the region, a political game of power or start of dictatorial chapter in the democratic setup.
The people of Punjab felt alienated from main stream due to denial of their just demands during a long democratic struggle since independence. As it happen all over the word, it led to militant struggle with great loss of lives of military, police and civilian personnel. Killing of Indira Gandhi and massacre of innocent Sikhs in Delhi and other India cities was also associated with this movement.

The French Revolution, which began in 1789, was a period of radical social and political upheaval in France. It marked the decline of absolute monarchies, the rise of secular and democratic republics, and the eventual rise of Napoleon Bonaparte. This revolutionary period is crucial in understanding the transition from feudalism to modernity in Europe.

2. Neuro Linguistic
Programming
Neuro-linguistic programming (NLP) is an
approach to communication, personal
development, and psychotherapy created by
Richard Bandler and John Grinder in California,
United States in the 1970s. Its creators claim a
connection between the neurological processes
("neuro"), language ("linguistic") and behavioral
patterns learned through experience
("programming") and that these can be changed
to achieve specific goals in life.
3. Techniques
1. Anchoring
2. Future pacing
3. Swish
4. Reframing
5. Six step reframe
6. Well-formed outcome
7. Ecology
8. Parts integration
9. VK/D
10. Metaphor
11. State management
12. Sleight of Mouth
4. The roots of NLP
NLP, with its roots in psychology and
neurology, is about the way the brain works
and how the brain can be trained for the
purpose of betterment. It encompasses or is
related to 'left / right brain' functions, 'visual /
auditory / kinaesthetic' learning styles,
multiple intelligence and other areas of
research which are attempting to identify
modes of learning whilst recognising the
importance of the individual learner.
5. NLP and language learning
In NLP, information arrives via the senses,
and 'six modalities' are identified as ways
that different individuals perceive the
messages. These modalities are:
- Visual Remembered
- Visual Constructed
- Auditory Remembered
- Auditory Digital
- Kinaesthetic
6. In NLP, these filters affect our model of the
world and our behaviour. In language
learning, they explain a wide range of
learning styles and strategies:
1. Learners make decisions based on
beliefs and value judgements.
2. Values provide the basis for decisions
about what is right and wrong, what they
want / need to know and don't want /
need to know
3. Memories and prior decisions create
beliefs which affect our current behaviour
7. NLP in the classroom
1. Creating rapport
2. Mirroring
3. Creating positive states and anchoring
4. Maintaining flow
5. Pacing and leading
6. Perceptual positioning
7. Modelling good practice
8. Conclusion
Whether one is a disciple of NLP or not, what
is clear is that NLP and ELT are complementary
in that NLP learns by observing communication
patterns, and ELT learns from what NLP
suggests as best practice in improving
Interpersonal communication and therefore
learning. There is nothing in NLP that is contrary
to current ELT methodology in terms of
communicative language learning and
humanistic approaches, while NLP has much to
contribute to the already vast repertoire of the
informed eclectic.
