The nervous system is the body's main communication system; it gathers, synthesizes, and uses data from the environment. The most basic unit of the nervous system is the neuron, which serves as both a sensor and communicator of internal and external stimuli.
Here's a brief introduction to control and coordination class 10 science:
"Control and coordination are fundamental processes in living organisms that ensure proper functioning and response to stimuli. In simpler terms, control refers to the regulation of various activities within an organism, while coordination involves the harmonious integration of these activities. In humans and many other animals, control and coordination are primarily carried out by the nervous system and the endocrine system. The nervous system allows for rapid responses to stimuli through nerve impulses, while the endocrine system regulates physiological processes using chemical messengers called hormones. Together, these systems ensure that organisms can adapt to changes in their environment, maintain internal balance (homeostasis), and carry out essential functions for survival and well-being."

These simplified slides by Dr. Sidra Arshad present an overview of the non-respiratory functions of the respiratory tract.
Learning objectives:
1. Enlist the non-respiratory functions of the respiratory tract
2. Briefly explain how these functions are carried out
3. Discuss the significance of dead space
4. Differentiate between minute ventilation and alveolar ventilation
5. Describe the cough and sneeze reflexes

ABDOMINAL TRAUMA in pediatrics part one.drhasanrajab
Abdominal trauma in pediatrics refers to injuries or damage to the abdominal organs in children. It can occur due to various causes such as falls, motor vehicle accidents, sports-related injuries, and physical abuse. Children are more vulnerable to abdominal trauma due to their unique anatomical and physiological characteristics. Signs and symptoms include abdominal pain, tenderness, distension, vomiting, and signs of shock. Diagnosis involves physical examination, imaging studies, and laboratory tests. Management depends on the severity and may involve conservative treatment or surgical intervention. Prevention is crucial in reducing the incidence of abdominal trauma in children.

2. BASIC OVERVIEW IN
PSYCHIATRIC NURSING
The human Nerous system can be divided into two
parts Central Nervous System. While Centeral
nervous system consistues of the Brain and the
Spinal cord.
The peripheral nervous system constitutes of the
somatic system and the autonomic system.
3.
4.
5. CEREBRUM
The cerebrum consist of right and left himspheres and constitutes the
largest par of the human brain
There is approx 200 million neurons called corpus callosum.
The basal Ganglia are responsible for certain subconscious aspects of
voluntary movements
Cerebral cortex most commonly divided in following category
Frontal Lobes
Parietal Lobes
Temporal Lobes
Occipital Lobes
6. Frontal Lobes
Voluntary body Movement is controlled by the
impulses through the frontal lobes
Right frontal lobes controlled Left body and left
frontal lobes controls motor activity on the right side
of the body
Its playing very important roles Emotional
experience
Changes in mood and alteration include such as
fear aggressiveness,depression,euphoria, lobes is
directly or indirectly connected with limbic system.
7. Parietal Lobes
Somatosensory input occurs in the parietal lobe
area of the brain.
Mostly related with touch pain and pressure taste
temperature perfection of the joints and body
position and visceral sensation
Languages interpretation is associated with the left
hemisphere of parietel lobe.
8. Temporal Lobes
The Upper anterior temporal lobes is concerned with auditory
functions.
Sense of smell connected with has a connection to temporal
lobes.
The olfactory nerve end this area of brain
9. Occipital Lobes
The Occipital lobes are the Primary Visual
experience
Language interpretation
This is consider primary area of visual approach.
10. Hypothalamus
Hypothalmus is locted below the thalamus and just
above the pistuitry gland It has connected with
multiple function
Posterior lobe
Anterior lobe
Limbic system
Pons
Medulla
Cerebellum
11. Posterior lobe
The pituitary gland is acutally exending from the
hypothalamus.
Posterior lobe stores antidiuretic hormone
To maintain blood pressure
Oxytocin hormone responsible for stimulation of the
uterus during labor
Milk from mammary glands
12. Anterior lobe
This gland is made up by glandular tissure
Harmone are regulated by releasing factors
Harmone is essential from hypothalamus
Regulation of appetite
Regulation of temperature
Direct control on ANS
13. Pons
The pons is a bulbous structure that lies between
midbrain and the medulla. It is composed of large
bundles of fibres .
This is having major connection between cerebellum and
brain stem
It also contain the central connecions of crainl nerve V
through VIII .
Repiration
Repiration
center
center
14. Medulla
Medulla is connecting structure between spinal
cord and the pons .
Vital centers of brain
Responsible for regulation of heart rate, blood
pressure,Respiration.
Working as reflux center such as
swallowing,sneezing,coughing, and vomiting.
This is also structure of midbrain Reflux
center
15. Cerebellum
This is separated from brain stem by the fourth
ventricle.
Just situated below the occipital lobes of the
cerebrum
Main function of cerebellum is involuntary
movement
Muscular tone and Coordination
Maintenance of posture. EquilibriumCenter
16. Limbic System
This is connected with brain is connected with rim of
cortical.
Mainly concerned with emotional experience
This is plays so much important role in the filed of
psychiatric nursing to maintain Different types of
roles and responsbilites .
Maintaining many Kinds of emotional exprerince.
