 The presence of thiomethylene gp at the central of carbon atom (a) and the
presence of methyl gp at the (x) position increase the potency as well as
duration of action.
 The captopril has been approved for the treatment of hypertension , heart
failure etc.
 The brand name of captopril is known as CAPOTEN
