Antigone And Kohlberg s Levels Of Moral
Morality is dealing with established principles of right and wrong behavior. Lawrence Kohlberg s
levels of moral development explain one s stage of morality in life. Morals leads to the law of
conscience by the actions one chooses to act upon whether for the better or worse. Both Antigone and
Ghandi are stage six based on their universal human rights and their individual conscience. Antigone
shows many examples of her universal human rights and her individual conscience. From Antigone,
Antigone is a stage six because she buries her brother Polynices. She breaks Creon s forbidden law to
follow her own conscience. This is displayed when it states, But I will bury him: and if I must die,/ I
say that this crime is holy... (Sophocles 774). Antigone

Hellenistic Religion
Emerging from the depths, Christianity began as a small sect contained within Judaism, but
throughout the next 300 years the small sect grew to be the religion of the Roman Empire. Surviving a
turbulent political climate, Christianity took root and could not be eradicated. Many things influenced
Christianity, such as: Hellenistic thought, conflict with Judaism, and trying to stay relevant within the
Rome Empire. Though Christianity began as a small sect, absorbing certain aspects of culture allowed
Christianity to grow and become one of the most influential voices in the Empire. Early Christianity
began with core Jewish beliefs at its epicenter. The disciples believed in the one God who had
revealed himself in the Hebrew Scriptures, this ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

worshipped the sun god. However, in 312, Constantine went to battle for the right to his father s

into battle, Constantine was resting and was taken up into a dream in which Jesus Christ appeared in a
bright light and announced that by this symbol he would win the battle which was about to ensue. The
outcome of the battle was in Constantine s favor. After his victory he moved the Empire in the
direction that was favorable to Christians. One of his first acts was to establish the Edict of Milan,
which allowed Christians and all others to worship freely. He also established a city named after

Figurative Language In Emily Dickinson s Poems
A famous poet named Emily Dickinson was born on December 10, 1830. She was well known for
writing in quatrains and using slant rhyme in her poetry. Figurative language played a huge role in
emphasizing the meaning of her poems, she also used dashes to highlight words. The poem I heard a
Fly buzz when I died mainly described her deathbed scene. She used imagery to describe how the
room looked and how inaudible the room she occupied was, because she could hear a fly. Dickinson
used many sound elements in her well known poem I heard a Fly buzz when I died . One example
would be slant rhyme which is a type of rhyme formed by words with similar, but not identical
sounds. This helps shape the poem s meaning because the poem flows together ... Show more content

One literary element she often used in her poetry is imagery which are words that are visually
descriptive or figurative language. By using imagery Dickinson made readers imagine how death is
like for her, she also creates tension to describe how intense that moment was. I could not see to see
(line 20) . would be classified as imagery because it gives readers an idea about her emotions at that
exact moment. Another literary element is mood. The mood is something Dickinson focuses on, and
tries to make clear. Depressing would count as the mood, because she says certain distressing things
about how she feels toward the subject of death. One last example of a literary element Dickinson
used in her poem is simile. A simile is when you compare two things using the words like or as . The
line The Stillness in the Room Was like the Stillness in the Air (lines 2 3) would count as a simile
because she is comparing two alike things, death and air. She s describing how silent she thinks death
really is, maybe even peaceful. Many themes can be interpreted by reading the poem I heard a Fly
buzz when I died but two themes seem to stick out. Mortality and family. Family is a big part of a
deathbed scene. Dickinson uses the theme mortality in the poem to explore all kinds of thing about
death. She thinks about how it feels, happens, what we expect

I Sat Down For A Discussion With One Of The Attorneys At...
In August 2016, I sat down for a discussion with one of the attorneys at Hotze Runkle, Justin Dunlap.
Mr. Dunlap had just joined the firm a month earlier as part of the firm s expansion into pharmaceutical
litigation, an area of practice that he has had years of experience prior to joining the firm. He
graciously took the time one afternoon to sit down and allow me to conduct an interview with him.
First, I asked him to discuss his educational background and how he began to practice law. Mr.
Dunlap, a native of the Dallas area, completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Kansas
where he studied history. He said that while he thoroughly enjoyed his degree program s content, he
did not see a future career for him with history and given that many of his older family members,
including his mother, were practicing lawyers, law school seemed to him to be a natural next step for
him. He returned to Dallas to get his law degree from Southern Methodist University (SMU). He said
that, he felt extremely lucky that his parents were able to help finance his legal education, so finances
were not a major factor in his law school decision. When I asked him how he came to choose SMU,
he indicated that the two most prominent factors were the location in the state he wished to practice
and the school s estimable reputation in Texas and the surrounding states. Mr. Dunlap told me that
once he got to law school, he was sure that he wanted to work for the JAG Corps once he was

Abstract
This paper explains the development in the human computer interaction by using the analytics
technologies. The analytics technologies act as a decision support system for the further development
in the human computer interaction. These analytical systems help us to identify the potential uses and
help us to correct if any flaws are present in the existing ones. In this paper, we use dashboards for the
analytical tools where these can be used in various domains like hospital, schools, industry and many
places in the industry by the management and helps to drive towards decisions which can be used to
improve their methods of interaction with the computing system. Based on these observations we
identify the issues related to these two fields of the interesting research area.
Introduction
The HCI and Analytics is a vast scope subject with a lot of research going on as it is a new field of
interest. This field involves a lot of data analytic technologies applied on top of the human computer
interaction technologies. For the analytics to be performed efficiently we use concepts like data
warehousing, mining and build our decision support systems and do analysis on the

Education Is An Important Foundation For People All Around...
Introduction Education has become such an important foundation for people all around the world.
Education differs from country to country. Education is very unique, education in the United States is
not the same as it is in China. How can one explore their differences? Well, one can explore the
importance of education, the education systems, higher education and the financial costs of education
in both the United States and China.
Importance of Education
People all around the world attend school. Most countries have their children begin at a young age, at
about five years old. According to the United States census, In 2011, 83 million people aged three and
over that the ACS recorded as enrolled in school (J. Davis, K. Bauman 2013 p. 2). ... Show more

In recent years it has become imperative that one attend school because as technology and society
evolves, it becomes more and more essential. Education is the key to more successful and stable
future. It is very difficult to obtain a high paying job without any kind of education or schooling.
Some jobs allow their employees without higher education to attend training to better prepare them for
their job. Education is a necessary foundation to success and improvement. Education is an essential,
but education differs and varies throughout the world. In China and the United different traditions and
customs are applied to educate their citizens. How different are their education systems, their higher
learning, and their cost of education? To explain their differences their similarities also need to be
addressed.
Education System in the United States In the United States the basic academic year for a student
begins in August or September and ends in May or June. In the United States, students begin their
education at about age five when they are obligated to attend Kindergarten; parents may choose so
send their children to pre school which is a nursery school made for children who are too young for
kindergarten, but it is not mandatory. After a child attends kindergarten they begin to attend
elementary school which is typically between first and fifth grade. They then proceed

Human Cloud Essay
Over the last decade, the human cloud has become a staple of doing business. Companies from main
street to wall street can quickly find extremely talented subcontractors online, from anywhere in the
world, at a very reasonable price. For this reason, it has become increasingly difficult to trade
competitively without crowdsourcing, or accessing the human cloud. The human cloud, a term used to
describe the online, talentsourcing ecosystem that has emerged over the last decade or so, revolves
around online middlemen, such as Upwork , that engage a virtual pool of workers from around the
world that can be tapped, on demand, to provide a broad range of services to any interested buyer

2012). As the world becomes more global, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

All these advantages notwithstanding, the challenges of leveraging the human cloud should not be
taken lightly. Perhaps the most notable downside to international trade would be the sophistication of
communication required to manage cloud workers.
Virtual organizations can speed up cycle time, but they pose new challenges for managers on how to
manage remote workers. Communications technologies and the Web let employees work from
anywhere around the corner or around the world and require special attention to managing
communication (Carpenter, 2009, p. 62).
For the uninitiated, differences in culture, language and cross time zone coordination make the
managerial task formidable indeed.
Given this challenge, we wonder if there exists a set of principles for successfully leveraging the
human cloud? Here are three principles that managers of a distributed workforce can rely on to
successfully leverage the human cloud.
Principle #1: Inspire
Most workers want to be a part of an enterprise that matters. Current research suggests that in the
United States, the millennials generation, specifically, has a preference for social enterprises
(FerriReed,
J., 2014). As the global workforce ages, the advantage in

New Deal Essay
1932. Famine and homelessness afflicted millions across the country. Small shanty towns called
Hoovervilles popped up on the outskirts of towns and in the open areas of cities, and served as home
to the most downtrodden of society. Over nine thousand banks had gone bankrupt since 1929, along
with them millions of dollars that had been entrusted to their care. Franklin D. Roosevelt inherited the
leadership of a nation containing thirteen million unemployed living in utter poverty. Although
criticized by his political contemporaries for the vague nature of his New Deal, FDR came into office
with a vision that, if employed effectively, would boost people s confidence in the economy and lift
the spirits of millions nationwide. The New ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
All of the aforementioned programs were simply the beginning of the New Deal, but they were
necessary for facilitating social, political, and economic change in the United States. The Agricultural
Adjustment Act placed limits on competitive farming, reduced crop production through artificial
scarcity ensuring agricultural price inflation and padding the pockets of farmers. The AAA also paid
farmers subsidies to leave farm lands uncultivated by introducing tax penalties on overproduction.
This led to the slaughter of over six million piglets, unfortunately. The AAA was widely unpopular
among the American public according to Gallup polls of the time, and the Supreme Court ultimately
declared it unconstitutional; that the state did not have the legal right to control the means of
agricultural production. Proponents of the second New Deal introduced new legislation in FDR s
second term to provide government subsidies on lands that were used to plant soil enriching crops
rather than commodities. The FERA, CWA, CCC, the WPA, NYA, NRA, PWA, and TVA were all
created as part of the relief legislation to get the unemployed back to work, regardless of cost. All the
relief works programs especially the CCC were designed to organize a labor force and literally create
an Army of working men, provide them with jobs, discipline, food, and shelter while creating
infrastructure support nationally

Mishima Yukio Identity
Masks and alternate identity is a major theme in Mishima Yukio s Confessions of a Mask. The narrator
believes that throughout his youth, he had been playing a role on a stage to hide his real self. However,
contrary to what the narrator claims, throughout the novel, he is not playing the role of another
personality. He is simply hiding. It is only in the conclusion, when the when the war is over, and the
need for order and principle and everyday life is restored, that he finally sees the creation of his other
identity – the masculine figure that conforms to the society s idea of men. Before he reaches puberty,
the narrator is oblivious to the differences between his peers and himself – he simply assumes that

He then has his misconception that he is the only boy who has the complexity to wear a mask. Instead,
he comes to believe that their appearance and action perfectly conformed to what they really are.
While his peers could be their natural selves, he must put on a mask and gain control over [his]
consciousness. And thus he comes to realize that the difference that separates him from his peers,
other than his sexual orientation, is the mask and the secret, shameful portion of [his] mind that hides
behind it. Contrary to his belief, the narrator does not have a mask on. Although the narrator believes
in a misconception that he is ‘playing the role of a boy, when in fact, what he considers to be a mask
is simply his body and his male appearance. The narrator is never in a real need to ‘play a role
because nobody really actively tries to find out who he really is. His peers, based on his appearance,
all assume that he shares the same sexual orientation as they do. Furthermore, the male body, for the
narrator, the male body has significance in the narrator s mind. With their perfect, muscular body,
Omi, St. Sebastian, and Yakumo all have the definition of the perfection of life and manhood. To the
narrator, the body is not only a manifestation of manliness, it is the embodiment of the untamed

The Notion Of Purchasing Power Parity
A. Discuss the notion of purchasing power parity (PPP) (10 marks) 300 words
Purchasing power parity (PPP) was developed as the theory of exchange rate determination, which
was the basis for the relationship between product price levels and exchange rates and is now
primarily used to compare living standards across countries (CFA, 2015).
The foundation version of PPP was based on the assumption that identical goods should trade at the
same price across countries when valued in terms of a common currency. This is known as the law of
one price and derived from the no arbitrage assumption (Dornbush, 1985; Taylor and Taylor, 2004;
CFA, 2015). It means that a bundle of goods and services would cost the same in two countries when
the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Absolute PPP is the extended version of the law of one price with all goods and services consumed in
different countries instead of one single good (CFA, 2015). Absolute PPP is expressed as ( ). The
absolute PPP asserts that the current spot rate is determined by the ratio of national price levels,
although like the one price theory struggles in actual application (Alba and Papell, 2007; Alessandria,
and Kaboski, 2011). An example of the average price for a Big Mac was $4.79 in January 2015 in the
US whereas at market exchange rate in China it was only $2.77, showing that China yuan is
undervalued compared to US dollar. This has reduced the Absolute PPP s usefulness as the theory of
exchange rate determination.
On the other hand, the Relative and Ex Ante PPP implies that exchanged rate between two countries is
affected by their inflation rates and expressed as (CFA, 2015). In the long run, the relative PPP
predicts that countries with a low inflation rate have currency s that tend to appreciate and conversely
with countries that have a high inflation rate; and the % change in exchange rate will equal the %
difference in national inflation rates (Baffes, 1991; Taylor and Taylor, 2004).
Although shot term, nominal exchange rates could be volatile but over the long run will tend to
gravitate toward PPP equilibrium values (Yotopoulos and Sawada, 2006; Papell and Prodan, 2006).
Hence PPP could be seen as a vale

For overcoming the problem related to PDS one should give emphasis to universal public distribution
system as in other state of India such as Kerala, Chhattisgarh and Tamil Nadu instead of targeted
public distribution system (TPDS). The reason is, in TPDS one has to target the beneficiaries to find
out who deserves BPL category and who deserves APL category and it is in the process of targeting
where the biasness and corruption starts. But when the distribution system becomes universal means
everyone is eligible corruption declines because it reduces the power of authorities to do corruption
through colluding and divergence and leakage of foodgrains also decline manifold. Moreover, rich
will be automatically excluded because he do not have enough times to come to the ration shop, stand
in line and wait for his turn to purchase the grain but real poor can wait for its turn.
Since major portion of population in the region is rural and is dependent on agriculture in one way or
the other and when drought occurs their livelihood is severely hampered. Thus there must be some
substitute work so that the people can earn their livelihood. As far as industrialisation is considered
this region is the most poor though it is very rich in resource availability. In comparison with other

Kant s Philosophy Of The Metaphysics Of Morals Essay
Kant s Philosophy of How To Act In the second section of Kant s Groundwork of the Metaphysics of
Morals, Kant argues what is good will. He gives the answer to this question: good will is the one
which follows the categorical imperative to act only according to that maxim which you can at the
same time will that it becomes a universal law (4:421). Kant means good will is to follow the
categorical imperative, which only has one principle of acting following the maxim in the universal
law. He talks about what is the categorical imperative and how maxims become the universal law,
which is important in his philosophy. In fact, there is an objection towards Kant. Sometimes surviving
is more important than duties in categorical imperative in real life. However, since Kant believes
people should follow the duties in categorical imperative unconditionally in any situation, people
should never compromise even for the inclination of survival because the inclination is wrong. First, it
is necessary to fully understand this philosophy. Categorical imperative and how maxims become the
universal law are important components in his philosophy. In 4:414, Kant tells what is the categorical
imperative. He claims the categorical imperative would be that which represented an action as
objectively necessary of itself, without reference to another end. Kant means categorical imperative
represents the behavior, which is just for itself but not as the means to another ultimate goal. Before

Childhood is a time where children learn about the world around themselves. They see and experience

Animals And Animal Nature
Let there be light, Let there be a space between the waters, to separate the waters of the heavens from
the waters of the earth. Let the waters beneath the sky flow together into one place, so dry ground may
appear. Let the land sprout with vegetation every sort of seed bearing plant, and trees that grow seed
bearing fruit. These seeds will then produce the kinds of plants and trees from which they came. Let
lights appear in the sky to separate the day from the night. Let them be signs to mark the seasons,
days, and years. Let these lights in the sky shine down on the earth. Let the waters swarm with fish
and other life. Let the skies be filled with birds of every kind. Be fruitful and multiply. Let the fish fill
the seas, and let the birds multiply on the earth. Let the earth produce every sort of animal, each
producing offspring of the same kind livestock, small animals that scurry along the ground, and wild
animals. Let us make human beings in our image, to be like us. They will reign over the fish in the
sea, the birds in the sky, the livestock, all the wild animals on the earth, and the small animals that
scurry along the ground. Be fruitful and multiply. Fill the earth and govern it. Reign over the fish in
the sea, the birds in the sky, and all the animals that scurry along the ground.

Cost Minimization Analysis Paper
Cost minimization analysis is mostly applied in the health sector and is a method used to measure and
compare the costs of different medical interventions Springer. Cost minimization analysis is the
simplest type of cost analysis. The central focus is that one medical intervention is the same as
another, at lower cost. That is the outcomes must be the same. If an institution wishes to substitute and
anesthesia drug which cost $100 less than another there are several question that need to be answered
prior to changing vendors or manufacturers. The first is quality of the medication. The Food and Drug
Administration requires the drug to have the same active ingredients but the the inactive ingredients
may not necessary be the same. The issue is the drug may be the absorbed different due to its inactive
ingredients.. Some patient may not similarly absorb the medication which may require that greater
quantities may be needed to achieve the anesthetic effect that is desired. As the purchaser of the less
costly medication, I would ask the manufacturer to supply data, in controlled studies to support that
the drug is not only therapeutic from the required active ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Will it cost more to prepare the medication and administer the lower cost medication? If the more
costly medication was for example in a single use vial this may require no more than transferring the
medication form the pharmacy to the operating room, where the anesthesia staff can administer the
medication. If however the the medication is purchased in a multi use vial it may require the pharmacy
to prepare the medication and then be distributed to the operating room or other areas of the hospital.
The man hours associated with this could be significant and more costly than using a single dose vial.
So therefore the direct and indirect cost of preparation need to be

Stakeholder Response For Waiting For Superman
Stakeholder Response to Waiting for Superman Stake Holder Group When the word school is
mentioned, often, we first think about students and teachers. These two groups roughly describe the
educational system. This assignment will focus on teachers as stakeholders in public school districts.
Demographic Description In the year of 2011, there were 3.2 million teachers who were employed at
public schools throughout the nation, which served close to 50 million children in grades kindergarten
through twelfth (Feistritzer, 2011). Currently, to be employed as a teacher in the United States, one
must obtain a Bachelor s Degree from an accredited college or university, and be certificated in the
state that one wishes to be employed. The certification serves as a teaching credential, which is needed
for teachers in all states. America has encountered a change within the teaching profession:
concerning, experience, age, credentials, and ethnic background (Feistritzer, 2011). It is almost as if
the year of 2005, overturned the trend of older employed teachers (Feistritzer, 2011). A six year survey
shows that the amount of teachers under the age of thirty has increased drastically, and that most
teachers have earned master degrees. Also, although teaching has been a predominately white
profession, more Hispanic and African American teachers were hired between the years of 2005 and
2011 (Feistritzer, 2011). Role in Education Teachers have many roles within the education system.

Patrick Slush Descriptive Writing
There is nothing more terribly beautiful than the snow stricken streets of New York City. Beneath a
greying evening sky, and between tall buildings of steel, are big flakes of swirling snow that drift and
lightly cover every street lamp, branch, shoulder and patch of pavement untouched by moving feet.
Patrick Sole, a man without a home, is slumped, in wet, grey slush, against a brick wall. He does not
twitch, he does not tremble. And if white begins to blanket his tattered coat, and if his frostnipped
fingers begin to numb; well, he does not stir. For how long he has sat there, he does not know, for he
looks and feels as white as a ghost.
With an icy puff of breath, Patrick blinks slowly and blankly observes the blur of faces before him. As
the evening sky blackens, the bustle of the street grows noisier and is lit vividly by street lamps, lights,
cars and electronic billboards. It is at that moment Patrick wonders: how can one be so lonely in a city
with over nineteen million souls?
Patrick is so lost in melancholy that he does not notice a wet nose nudge his gloved hand. A quiet

of coffee. And then there is Patrick, frozen in place, watching crowds dart by heedless of him, the dog,
and his suffering. The heaviness in his heart continues to grow and grow, weighing him down and
filling his chest. It would appear so that if his heart were to collapse under the weight, then an
avalanche of his pain would fall and crush the entire city. But it won t, and it never will, for his

Hero s Journey
The Hero s journey, or in its more correct terminology the Monomyth is an object from the area of
comparative mythology. Its definition in the most basic of forms, it is a pattern or outline that is used
in storytelling, usually the myth. This pattern is found in many famous pieces from all around the
world. In the book The Hero with a Thousand Faces from 1949 by author Joseph Campbell, this
pattern is described in detail. Campbell describes that numerous myths from different times and areas
of the world seem to share an identical structure in their storytelling. He summarized this with a well
known quote found at the intro of his book:
A hero ventures forth from the world of common day into a region of supernatural wonder: fabulous ...

The boon is the reward gained from surpassing their toughest trial throughout the trials brought
forward. This boon can be a goal, a power, treasure, or even just a feeling. The boon is usually the
climax of the story, also known as the highest point of tension in the story. Once the hero has achieved
the boon, the hero must then decide whether to return to the ordinary world with the boon. If he
chooses to return he will often face challenges on the return journey as well. If the hero succeeds in
returning to the ordinary world with the boon, it can improve the world and change it forever. Again
these are only some of the 17 stages of the monomyth. Campbell states that it is very rare the myth
will contain all 17 stages; they can also be presented in various orders. This makes it sometimes
difficult to spot the monomyth structure within a story. (Martin) George Lucas or the man I hope we
would know by now as the creator of Star Wars, in various occasions has credited Campbell s theory
of the monomyth as the inspiration for his intergalactic series of films. It is quite easy to pick out
many of the structures of a monomyth within the films. Often this popular example is used in
classrooms when teaching the monomyth since it makes it easily relatable to younger audiences. By
1975 George Lucas had written two drafts for Star Wars and even though they were already written up
and completed he felt they were lacking. He knew his drafts lacked

The Pros And Cons Of Nike
There are hundreds of name brands that millions around the world use to represent who they are as a
person and their personality. Typically name brands have celebrities, athletes, and models broadcast
the clothes by wearing them and making commercials so the people behind the screens can look
exactly like the people wearing them first. There are companies like Nike that are known to mainly be
a sports name brand company and is loved and worn by millions. Unfortunately, many do not know
what exactly happens behind the scenes where the clothes, shoes, and accessories are being made.
Many name brand companies have fallen under certain accusations of taking part in manufacturing
their own products in sweatshops. These sweatshops are where workers of the company are employed
in horrible and unsafe working conditions as well as working long hours at low wages. Unfortunately,
one of the most popular companies in America is now being kept under surveillance for their unfair
labor practices. This company that is well known has now damaged its reputation, specifically through
their company s image and their sales. The famous Nike brand has now fallen through the cracks.
Sources state ex employees and present day employees have filed reports of Nike s harsh and unjust
working conditions as far back as the 1990 s. Although Nike denied it at times, there was solid proof
that children under the age of 16 were also working in these conditions, as most adults would. These

The Impact Of Tourism On Orlando, Florida
Introduction
Florida is tourism. Every modern image of the state evokes travel for pleasure. To most outsiders,
Florida is one big theme park, not a state but a magic kingdom of dreams and fantasies, where real
life, with its mundane cares, is effectively banished (Revels, 2011). Orlando, Florida can be
appreciated as a destination where this image was created, where exhilarating attractions, distinct
restaurants and hotels, and superior shopping have become a tourist s dream vacation. Orlando has
become the first destination in the United States to surpass over 62 million visitors in 2014, setting a
new record for tourism as the most visited destination in the nation (Visit Orlando, 2015). Being one

This is considered to be the most important component of tourism in a location. It provides the
destination with activities and interactive aspects that interest visitors worldwide. Attraction means
anything that creates a desire in any person to travel in a specific tourist destination or attraction
(Johnpaul, 2015). The attraction is consumed during the stay of the tourist, which impacts the majority
of their experience in the destination. In order to create opportunities for tourists to visit places these
attractions need to be innovative and simulating (Gisolf, 2012).
Attractions can be labeled into different categories based on certain characteristics they offer. These
types of attractions are categorized under historical landmarks, museums and galleries, nature,
shopping malls, and amusement and water parks (Heath, 2014). Each category has a set of features
that make each attraction diverse, such as historical landmarks that have historical significance and
nature attractions that incorporate the outdoors. These characteristics make up each type of

The Political Structure Of Singapore
DESCRIBE THE POLITICAL STRUCTURE A. Type The Sovereign Republic of Singapore, an
island country located in the southern tip of the Malay Peninsula in Southeast Asia has a parliamentary
government with a legal system based on the English common law. The President Tony Tan Keng Yam
is the chief of state and the Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong is the head of the government. Singapore
adopted its constitution in 1965, which exercises the concept of original jurisdiction. This means cases
can be presented for the first time for a hearing at a High Court. The constitution represents the
supreme law of the land. Also, in 1965, Singapore joined the United Nations. The three organs of
state, the Executive, the Legislative, and the Judiciary follow the Constitution s fundamental
principles. The Cabinet, comprised of the Executive takes care of the administration of the
government and is accountable to the Parliament. Elected by a plurality vote, the President serves for
six years. The authority responsible for enacting the legislation is the Parliament. Also, by plurality
vote and single member constituencies, citizens elect 12 members; a group representation constituency
system elects 75 members; the President nominates 9 members; and from a national compensatory list,
3 members are also appointed. The President appoints for life the Judiciary branch, which administers
justice without any influence from the other branches. Under the article 25 of the constitution, the

My Personal Statement Of The Goal Of Education
My Philosophy
I believe that the goal of education is to help students be able to survive and thrive in the real world. I
believe that the role of the teacher is make sure students understand the standards that are set, to help
them grow and to help them get through the school year. I believe that students should keep an open
mind, positive attitude towards school and help those around them. I believe that parents and
community members should help students with schoolwork, supplies and be involved in their
education. I believe that knowledge is power and it is what helps us to survive and thrive in any
situation.
My philosophy consists of student centered teaching. I will use constructivism for scaffolding and for
when beginning a subject. I would use progressivism so students can get to experience real world
situations and to foster their curiosity. I will use existentialism to help with their individuality and
leadership skills. Social Reconstructionism will help with their confidence to face challenges and to
further their social skills. Every student needs to be rewarded and disciplined to keep a calm and fair
environment.
I will start off with having the students explain to me signs they already know or what they have come
up with themselves. It will help me to see where we are starting off at and what are our strong suits.
This is how I will begin any lesson on a new set of signs where they will tell me all the animals they
already know. Then I will start over with all the animals and repeat the animal signs over. I will use
scaffolding, for example, by explaining that the sign for a cat looks like your petting a cat this will
give them something to associate it with. The students will start to get into groups and have
conversations with each other. For example, one student can spell out the animal, while the other does
the sign for the word. This will help them with working and being social with others. Once they know
a certain amount of signs and we have covered the basics. I will ask the class as a whole what signs
they would like to learn and would be beneficial to them. If the class wants to learn about activities
like driving, swimming and more. I will go over as many as I can to teach them

where he is placed in a situation involving the queen where he must put his loyalty to the king on the

The Importance Of Carers Instructions On Children s Food...
Why it is important to follow carers instructions in respect of their child s food allergies or
intolerances
For some children, it is essential to monitor their diet and the food that they eat has to be prepared and
planned very carefully as they may have allergies, intolerances or medical conditions, such as: disease
or diabetes. You should take care to follow the parents instructions relating to their child allergies or
intolerances, failure to do so could result in the child health being endangered, possibly even in death.
Allergies
Contact with certain fields can be fatal for some children with allergies. This means that great care has
to be taken and I system must be designed to vent children from coming into contact with their
allergen (for example nuts or dairy products). Where the allergy is severe, this may affect the food that
can be prepared and eating in the setting as some children can have a reaction just from being near
other children who are eating food containing and allergen.
Systems to vent children from coming into contact with a known food allergen include photographs
and names of the children in the kitchen, only key persons giving the child food and certain plate
being used for particular children so as to provide a visual reminder. It is also essential that children
are supervised when they are eating so that if an allergic reaction occurs emergency help can be called.

Use Of Disruption Of Performance On Roles Involving...
Focus has been thought to be attained automatically from stimuli with negative valence, allowing
quick recognition of possible threats (Itkes Mashal, 2015). The concept of disruption of performance
on roles involving negative words has been heavily researched (Itkes Mashal, 2015), whereas minimal
research has been conducted on the timing of semantic processing where negative valence applies its
influence on performance.
To view the influence of negative valence on performance, the emotional Stroop task has been utilised
(Itkes Mashal, 2015). The Stroop task involves participants naming colours of words whilst
disregarding their background. The words used generally bear negative or neutral valence, and results
propose that reaction times are slower to negative words in comparison to neutral words. (Itkes
Mashal, 2015) suggest that achievements on this role show a basic deceleration resulting from
dangerous stimuli.
In reference to the Automatic Vigilance Hypothesis, surrounding stimuli are involuntarily viewed as
negative or positive (Itkes Mashal, 2015). This rapid reaction occurs due to the allowance for
avoidance or approach behaviour. Negative data is prioritised when studies drew attention to factors of
behaviour and brain activity. This allows for the cognition system to be prepared for any possible
harm, that could disrupt present processing of information (Itkes Mashal, 2015). Therefore, valence is
agreed to be processed early. The question still

Analysis Of Ethical Decision And Scandal
Analysis of ethical reaction to scandal Introduction The reputation of an organization is crucial.
Therefore, being a leader of an organization has to be able to react efficiently and effectively when
there is a threat to organization s reputation. Occasionally, a leader has to face a dilemma, whereby
one has to decide how to deal with the scandals in the organizations. On one hand, some organizations
treat their customers as a mean to gather the profits. On the other hand, other organizations regard
their customers as an end, whereby the organizations really consider about customers interests as an
ultimate goal of their services. Nonetheless, only the companies that mad the ethical actions survived.
Lacking a focus on the welfare of their customers, some propaganda techniques, aiming to cover up
the scandals, usually don t work well. Instead, successful public relationship management techniques
generally treat their customers welfare as an end not just a mean. For example, a successful crisis
management usually contains the honesty and quick reaction. Enron Corporation is a great example to
illustrate how damaging it is if company leaders try to hide up the scandals and lie to the public. From
Kant s perspective, customers, who are human beings objected to the service provided by
organizations, should be treated with dignity, as every rational being exists as an end in himself and
not merely as a means to be arbitrarily used by this or that will (Kant 428). Indeed,

  • 2. Antigone And Kohlberg s Levels Of Moral Morality is dealing with established principles of right and wrong behavior. Lawrence Kohlberg s levels of moral development explain one s stage of morality in life. Morals leads to the law of conscience by the actions one chooses to act upon whether for the better or worse. Both Antigone and Ghandi are stage six based on their universal human rights and their individual conscience. Antigone shows many examples of her universal human rights and her individual conscience. From Antigone, Antigone is a stage six because she buries her brother Polynices. She breaks Creon s forbidden law to follow her own conscience. This is displayed when it states, But I will bury him: and if I must die,/ I say that this crime is holy... (Sophocles 774). Antigone ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Hellenistic Religion Emerging from the depths, Christianity began as a small sect contained within Judaism, but throughout the next 300 years the small sect grew to be the religion of the Roman Empire. Surviving a turbulent political climate, Christianity took root and could not be eradicated. Many things influenced Christianity, such as: Hellenistic thought, conflict with Judaism, and trying to stay relevant within the Rome Empire. Though Christianity began as a small sect, absorbing certain aspects of culture allowed Christianity to grow and become one of the most influential voices in the Empire. Early Christianity began with core Jewish beliefs at its epicenter. The disciples believed in the one God who had revealed himself in the Hebrew Scriptures, this ... However, in 312, Constantine went to battle for the right to his father s throne and something happened that would change the course of Christianity forever. Before entering into battle, Constantine was resting and was taken up into a dream in which Jesus Christ appeared in a bright light and announced that by this symbol he would win the battle which was about to ensue. The outcome of the battle was in Constantine s favor. After his victory he moved the Empire in the direction that was favorable to Christians. One of his first acts was to establish the Edict of Milan, which allowed Christians and all others to worship freely. • 4. Figurative Language In Emily Dickinson s Poems A famous poet named Emily Dickinson was born on December 10, 1830. She was well known for writing in quatrains and using slant rhyme in her poetry. Figurative language played a huge role in emphasizing the meaning of her poems, she also used dashes to highlight words. The poem I heard a Fly buzz when I died mainly described her deathbed scene. She used imagery to describe how the room looked and how inaudible the room she occupied was, because she could hear a fly. Dickinson used many sound elements in her well known poem I heard a Fly buzz when I died . One example would be slant rhyme which is a type of rhyme formed by words with similar, but not identical sounds. This helps shape the poem s meaning because the poem flows together ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... One literary element she often used in her poetry is imagery which are words that are visually descriptive or figurative language. By using imagery Dickinson made readers imagine how death is like for her, she also creates tension to describe how intense that moment was. I could not see to see (line 20) . would be classified as imagery because it gives readers an idea about her emotions at that exact moment. Another literary element is mood. The mood is something Dickinson focuses on, and tries to make clear. Depressing would count as the mood, because she says certain distressing things about how she feels toward the subject of death. One last example of a literary element Dickinson used in her poem is simile. A simile is when you compare two things using the words like or as . The line The Stillness in the Room Was like the Stillness in the Air (lines 2 3) would count as a simile because she is comparing two alike things, death and air. She s describing how silent she thinks death really is, maybe even peaceful. Many themes can be interpreted by reading the poem I heard a Fly buzz when I died but two themes seem to stick out. Mortality and family. Family is a big part of a deathbed scene. Dickinson uses the theme mortality in the poem to explore all kinds of thing about death. • 5. I Sat Down For A Discussion With One Of The Attorneys At... In August 2016, I sat down for a discussion with one of the attorneys at Hotze Runkle, Justin Dunlap. Mr. Dunlap had just joined the firm a month earlier as part of the firm s expansion into pharmaceutical litigation, an area of practice that he has had years of experience prior to joining the firm. He graciously took the time one afternoon to sit down and allow me to conduct an interview with him. First, I asked him to discuss his educational background and how he began to practice law. Mr. Dunlap, a native of the Dallas area, completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Kansas where he studied history. He said that while he thoroughly enjoyed his degree program s content, he did not see a future career for him with history and given that many of his older family members, including his mother, were practicing lawyers, law school seemed to him to be a natural next step for him. He returned to Dallas to get his law degree from Southern Methodist University (SMU). He said that, he felt extremely lucky that his parents were able to help finance his legal education, so finances were not a major factor in his law school decision. When I asked him how he came to choose SMU, he indicated that the two most prominent factors were the location in the state he wished to practice and the school s estimable reputation in Texas and the surrounding states. • 10. Human Cloud Essay Over the last decade, the human cloud has become a staple of doing business. Companies from main street to wall street can quickly find extremely talented subcontractors online, from anywhere in the world, at a very reasonable price. For this reason, it has become increasingly difficult to trade competitively without crowdsourcing, or accessing the human cloud. The human cloud, a term used to describe the online, talentsourcing ecosystem that has emerged over the last decade or so, revolves around online middlemen, such as Upwork , that engage a virtual pool of workers from around the world that can be tapped, on demand, to provide a broad range of services to any interested buyer (Kaganer, 2012). Perhaps the most notable downside to international trade would be the sophistication of communication required to manage cloud workers. Virtual organizations can speed up cycle time, but they pose new challenges for managers on how to manage remote workers. Communications technologies and the Web let employees work from anywhere around the corner or around the world and require special attention to managing communication (Carpenter, 2009, p. 62). For the uninitiated, differences in culture, language and cross time zone coordination make the managerial task formidable indeed. Given this challenge, we wonder if there exists a set of principles for successfully leveraging the human cloud? Here are three principles that managers of a distributed workforce can rely on to successfully leverage the human cloud. Principle #1: Inspire Most workers want to be a part of an enterprise that matters. Current research suggests that in the United States, the millennials generation, specifically, has a preference for social enterprises (FerriReed, J., 2014). Over nine thousand banks had gone bankrupt since 1929, along with them millions of dollars that had been entrusted to their care. Franklin D. Roosevelt inherited the leadership of a nation containing thirteen million unemployed living in utter poverty. All of the aforementioned programs were simply the beginning of the New Deal, but they were necessary for facilitating social, political, and economic change in the United States. The Agricultural Adjustment Act placed limits on competitive farming, reduced crop production through artificial scarcity ensuring agricultural price inflation and padding the pockets of farmers. The AAA also paid farmers subsidies to leave farm lands uncultivated by introducing tax penalties on overproduction. This led to the slaughter of over six million piglets, unfortunately. The AAA was widely unpopular among the American public according to Gallup polls of the time, and the Supreme Court ultimately declared it unconstitutional; that the state did not have the legal right to control the means of agricultural production. Proponents of the second New Deal introduced new legislation in FDR s second term to provide government subsidies on lands that were used to plant soil enriching crops rather than commodities. The FERA, CWA, CCC, the WPA, NYA, NRA, PWA, and TVA were all created as part of the relief legislation to get the unemployed back to work, regardless of cost. • 15. The Notion Of Purchasing Power Parity A. Discuss the notion of purchasing power parity (PPP) (10 marks) 300 words Purchasing power parity (PPP) was developed as the theory of exchange rate determination, which was the basis for the relationship between product price levels and exchange rates and is now primarily used to compare living standards across countries (CFA, 2015). The foundation version of PPP was based on the assumption that identical goods should trade at the same price across countries when valued in terms of a common currency. This is known as the law of one price and derived from the no arbitrage assumption (Dornbush, 1985; Taylor and Taylor, 2004; CFA, 2015). Absolute PPP is the extended version of the law of one price with all goods and services consumed in different countries instead of one single good (CFA, 2015). Absolute PPP is expressed as ( ). The absolute PPP asserts that the current spot rate is determined by the ratio of national price levels, although like the one price theory struggles in actual application (Alba and Papell, 2007; Alessandria, and Kaboski, 2011). An example of the average price for a Big Mac was $4.79 in January 2015 in the US whereas at market exchange rate in China it was only $2.77, showing that China yuan is undervalued compared to US dollar. This has reduced the Absolute PPP s usefulness as the theory of exchange rate determination. On the other hand, the Relative and Ex Ante PPP implies that exchanged rate between two countries is affected by their inflation rates and expressed as (CFA, 2015). In the long run, the relative PPP predicts that countries with a low inflation rate have currency s that tend to appreciate and conversely with countries that have a high inflation rate; and the % change in exchange rate will equal the % difference in national inflation rates (Baffes, 1991; Taylor and Taylor, 2004). Although shot term, nominal exchange rates could be volatile but over the long run will tend to gravitate toward PPP equilibrium values (Yotopoulos and Sawada, 2006; Papell and Prodan, 2006). But when the distribution system becomes universal means everyone is eligible corruption declines because it reduces the power of authorities to do corruption through colluding and divergence and leakage of foodgrains also decline manifold. • 19. Kant s Philosophy Of The Metaphysics Of Morals Essay Kant s Philosophy of How To Act In the second section of Kant s Groundwork of the Metaphysics of Morals, Kant argues what is good will. He gives the answer to this question: good will is the one which follows the categorical imperative to act only according to that maxim which you can at the same time will that it becomes a universal law (4:421). Kant means good will is to follow the categorical imperative, which only has one principle of acting following the maxim in the universal law. He talks about what is the categorical imperative and how maxims become the universal law, which is important in his philosophy. In fact, there is an objection towards Kant. Sometimes surviving is more important than duties in categorical imperative in real life. However, since Kant believes people should follow the duties in categorical imperative unconditionally in any situation, people should never compromise even for the inclination of survival because the inclination is wrong. First, it is necessary to fully understand this philosophy. Categorical imperative and how maxims become the universal law are important components in his philosophy. In 4:414, Kant tells what is the categorical imperative. He claims the categorical imperative would be that which represented an action as objectively necessary of itself, without reference to another end. Kant means categorical imperative represents the behavior, which is just for itself but not as the means to another ultimate goal. Before ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

These two groups roughly describe the educational system. This assignment will focus on teachers as stakeholders in public school districts. Demographic Description In the year of 2011, there were 3.2 million teachers who were employed at public schools throughout the nation, which served close to 50 million children in grades kindergarten through twelfth (Feistritzer, 2011). Currently, to be employed as a teacher in the United States, one must obtain a Bachelor s Degree from an accredited college or university, and be certificated in the state that one wishes to be employed. The certification serves as a teaching credential, which is needed for teachers in all states. America has encountered a change within the teaching profession: concerning, experience, age, credentials, and ethnic background (Feistritzer, 2011). It is almost as if the year of 2005, overturned the trend of older employed teachers (Feistritzer, 2011). A six year survey shows that the amount of teachers under the age of thirty has increased drastically, and that most teachers have earned master degrees. Beneath a greying evening sky, and between tall buildings of steel, are big flakes of swirling snow that drift and lightly cover every street lamp, branch, shoulder and patch of pavement untouched by moving feet. Patrick Sole, a man without a home, is slumped, in wet, grey slush, against a brick wall. He does not twitch, he does not tremble. And if white begins to blanket his tattered coat, and if his frostnipped fingers begin to numb; well, he does not stir. For how long he has sat there, he does not know, for he looks and feels as white as a ghost. With an icy puff of breath, Patrick blinks slowly and blankly observes the blur of faces before him. As the evening sky blackens, the bustle of the street grows noisier and is lit vividly by street lamps, lights, cars and electronic billboards. Its definition in the most basic of forms, it is a pattern or outline that is used in storytelling, usually the myth. This pattern is found in many famous pieces from all around the world. In the book The Hero with a Thousand Faces from 1949 by author Joseph Campbell, this pattern is described in detail. Campbell describes that numerous myths from different times and areas of the world seem to share an identical structure in their storytelling. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The boon is the reward gained from surpassing their toughest trial throughout the trials brought forward. This boon can be a goal, a power, treasure, or even just a feeling. The boon is usually the climax of the story, also known as the highest point of tension in the story. Once the hero has achieved the boon, the hero must then decide whether to return to the ordinary world with the boon. If he chooses to return he will often face challenges on the return journey as well. If the hero succeeds in returning to the ordinary world with the boon, it can improve the world and change it forever. Again these are only some of the 17 stages of the monomyth. Campbell states that it is very rare the myth will contain all 17 stages; they can also be presented in various orders. This makes it sometimes difficult to spot the monomyth structure within a story. (Martin) George Lucas or the man I hope we would know by now as the creator of Star Wars, in various occasions has credited Campbell s theory of the monomyth as the inspiration for his intergalactic series of films. It is quite easy to pick out many of the structures of a monomyth within the films. I believe that the role of the teacher is make sure students understand the standards that are set, to help them grow and to help them get through the school year. I believe that students should keep an open mind, positive attitude towards school and help those around them. I believe that parents and community members should help students with schoolwork, supplies and be involved in their education. I believe that knowledge is power and it is what helps us to survive and thrive in any situation. My philosophy consists of student centered teaching. I will use constructivism for scaffolding and for when beginning a subject. I would use progressivism so students can get to experience real world situations and to foster their curiosity. I will use existentialism to help with their individuality and leadership skills. Social Reconstructionism will help with their confidence to face challenges and to further their social skills. Every student needs to be rewarded and disciplined to keep a calm and fair environment. I will start off with having the students explain to me signs they already know or what they have come up with themselves. It will help me to see where we are starting off at and what are our strong suits. This is how I will begin any lesson on a new set of signs where they will tell me all the animals they already know. Then I will start over with all the animals and repeat the animal signs over. I will use scaffolding, for example, by explaining that the sign for a cat looks like your petting a cat this will give them something to associate it with. The students will start to get into groups and have conversations with each other. For example, one student can spell out the animal, while the other does the sign for the word. This will help them with working and being social with others. Once they know a certain amount of signs and we have covered the basics. Focus has been thought to be attained automatically from stimuli with negative valence, allowing quick recognition of possible threats (Itkes Mashal, 2015). The concept of disruption of performance on roles involving negative words has been heavily researched (Itkes Mashal, 2015), whereas minimal research has been conducted on the timing of semantic processing where negative valence applies its influence on performance. To view the influence of negative valence on performance, the emotional Stroop task has been utilised (Itkes Mashal, 2015). The Stroop task involves participants naming colours of words whilst disregarding their background. The words used generally bear negative or neutral valence, and results propose that reaction times are slower to negative words in comparison to neutral words. (Itkes Mashal, 2015) suggest that achievements on this role show a basic deceleration resulting from dangerous stimuli. In reference to the Automatic Vigilance Hypothesis, surrounding stimuli are involuntarily viewed as negative or positive (Itkes Mashal, 2015). This rapid reaction occurs due to the allowance for avoidance or approach behaviour. Negative data is prioritised when studies drew attention to factors of behaviour and brain activity. This allows for the cognition system to be prepared for any possible harm, that could disrupt present processing of information (Itkes Mashal, 2015). Therefore, valence is agreed to be processed early. The question still ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Therefore, being a leader of an organization has to be able to react efficiently and effectively when there is a threat to organization s reputation. Occasionally, a leader has to face a dilemma, whereby one has to decide how to deal with the scandals in the organizations. On one hand, some organizations treat their customers as a mean to gather the profits. On the other hand, other organizations regard their customers as an end, whereby the organizations really consider about customers interests as an ultimate goal of their services. Nonetheless, only the companies that mad the ethical actions survived. Lacking a focus on the welfare of their customers, some propaganda techniques, aiming to cover up the scandals, usually don t work well. Instead, successful public relationship management techniques generally treat their customers welfare as an end not just a mean.
