It was told yesterday that Sreekala ma’am would be handling the first two hours getting permission from
Chellamani ma’am. But I don’t know what happened. Chellamani ma’am came in her period and then
she enquired whether everybody had started doing their works. She was disturbed to hear that those
who were present today had not turned up. She didn’t shout for it. I have never seen her shouting for
not doing the work. Here she didn’t forget to again motivate us. Anyway I did all the work that she
expected. Ma’am today gave orientation on the third unit. But the disturbing thing was that I couldn’t
find the book or from the net any materials regarding the theories of teaching. I approached ma’am for
help. To guide me she gave an assignment done in the previous year. It was given with a condition that I
should not copy anything from it. Then afterwards we had two hours and then left the class and went to
the library to search for the book. Ma’am gave me the list of the books available in the library. To my
bad time I was not able to find any book on the theories of teaching. Our library has lot of books on
educational technology and models of teaching but hardly one for theories of teaching. I entered the
reference section also but none was there. I came with what I got and called my friend who promised
me to help me. I called her without any hope. But to my surprise she said that she found the book with
the theories. I thanked her a lot. My several days of search came to an end. Today I feel light in heart to
type something for my journal.
