Essay About My Mother
Any women can be a mother but it takes someone special to be a mother. Having someone in your life who means so much to you is a blessing.
My Mom, Fatima was born on June 4, 1973. Moving to her appearance, I could say that the way she acts says a lot about her personality. She is the
kind of person that is interesting to listen. Every time I listen to her, I learn something new. The moment she had me in her life was also a blessing for
her. Im her third daughter. She is someone who cheers me up while I'm feeling sad. Without her, I wouldn't be who I am today. Her smile is the only
thing that will make me happy throughout the day. Her guiding hand on my shoulder will remain forever. Ever since her childhood, my mom was
taught that...show more content...
What she said had me going forward to my education and inspired me to do my best. If I had the chance to give up, she wouldn't allow it. The way
she inspires me is a way showing love always which makes me believe in her more. As a result I admire her. My mom has a huge impact on me and
has also influenced me by teaching me lessons and the right and wrongs.
She taught me important lessons and one of them was how to be an independent female. she told me if I wanted to be successful, college will lead
you the right path that you need to be at. Whenever she told me stuff like this, it would help and encourages me a lot. I have never been in any hard
situation in my life and that's because my mom is always by my side. Whether she's away from me or not, distance will never separate us no matter
what. she is my inspiration and he keeps me motivated to get my degree heart Surgeon, my dream job.
At times, I would say to myself that my mom isn't like any other women. She is someone different that is determined to do things to get us what we
wanted. i'm so blessed that I have a beautiful mother that always cares for me. my mom would do anything for her kids to make them happy. I really
like to thank my mother for showing me what a truly hard working women is.

My Mother Essay
What can one say about their mother? One may talk about her positive and negative characteristics. There are so many great traits I love and admire
about my mom, that it would be difficult and unfair to write about just one. Being strong, generous and optimistic are all some great personality traits,
which my mother possesses.
Ever since I can remember, my mother has been a strong individual. She raised my brother and I financially, emotionally, physically and spiritually
by herself. My mom gave her all, by that I mean, she worked two jobs to make sure her children ate properly and that they had the essential amenities
to grow happily and successfully. Another way she supported us was with love and care. My mom...show more content...
She would encourage me by simply saying, "Complaining is a useless way to solve problems, but becoming active on the issue is a great way to
conquer it. My mother My mother has always had strong faith and views in her religion. When I was younger, every day and night, she would bring
prayer time to me and my brother's attention. My mom instilled As a child, my mother displayed the seriousness of spirituality. In which she expressed
her faith in us at an early age, that prayer time was not the time to make jokes nor to complain about having to partake in it.
One lesson she taught us the most, was how seriousness about our spiritual beliefs could provide us with a substantial, stable and structural lifestyle.
My mother's heart is at its purest when giving. I witnessed my mother chip in and pay for people's rent, car notes, and buying them groceries. Although
my mother's intentions were good, occasionally, her generosity has been taken advantage of. One time a close friend of the family, came to my mother
in desperate need. He asked her to loan him a large amount of money, with the agreement that he would pay back in either monthly or weekly
installments. My mom never did see the money that was due to her. Despite the incident she still gives and encourages others to give, whether is it a
donation, or volunteering your time in your community. My

Narrative Essay : My Mom
For this narrative, I interviewed my mom, Amanda Lopez. At first, she seems mean. That's very blunt but it's true. My mom is a very guarded and
self–reserved person. She does have manners and she is nice but, she won't open up immediately to a new person. She is also very hard working and
independent. She wasn't born with these qualities, she went through a lot of different struggles, but that's how she ended up where she is today.
My mom didn't have a very good high school experience. Her mom always moved, which caused her to move. Which caused her to have few friends.
She never participated in sports or arts. She mostly focused on her home life and school. Her mom never really supported her. When asked about the
future, she state "I never thought about the future, it was more of a day by day, moment by moment kind of thing. How am I going to pay for this and
when will I get my homework done?" My mom had to buy her own clothes, pay the rent at her mom's house, and juggle school work. So, as you can
imagine, she had a lot on her plate. Although, she did have support from her aunt and uncle. But, she still had to do a lot of things on her own. "Aunt
Terri and I would go to her parent's house and hang out on the farm. We would do every day normal stuff like baking and knitting." Essentially, Aunt
Terri was the mom she never had, she taught her basic skills and gave her tips on different things. "They were the ones that came to my volleyball

True Colours
4a) My Mom is gold because she embraces the concepts of family and religion very seriously. My family origin is Sri Lanka and one of the main
languages spoken there is Tamil. In Canada, the main language spoken is English, which I speak at home and school. My parents communicate in
English, however they also speak Tamil. My Mom doesn't want me to forget the Sri Lankan culture, so every night we watch Tamil shows on TV,
together as a family. She believes that by listening to Tamil everynight I won't forget the language. This make her an effectiveparent because she wants
me to know another language which will help me in the future. By knowing another language, it is easier to communicate with relatives.
Gold describes my Mom because she is polite. My Mom always uses her manners no matter where she goes. For example, if someone holds the
door for her she will say thank you. When she receives a gift she doesn't like, she always says ''Thank you'' because she doesn't want to hurt the
other person's feelings. She is always polite to elders and will listen attentively to their opinions, even if she doesn't approve of them. This
characteristic of my Mom, makes her an effective parent because she is teaching me how I should behave in society. For example, when I speak to
elders, I would stand up and speak to them, in order to show my respect. Her polite actions positively influence the choices I make in life.

Essay on My Mother
From a distance, my mother appears to be an ordinary round woman with an irritable attitude. In public, she projects an image of high maintenance
with power and control. When in her usual indecipherable mood, she wears a refined expression as she puts on a pout that reveals her plump cheeks.
When we go out, she makes sure that she always has make–up on and a fashionable bag in hand. Sometimes, she'd take a good look at me and say,
"You should put on some lipstick and eyeliner! You look dead!" She knows what she wants and how to get it, she speaks with authority when
addressing anyone from the lady at the cash register to the waiter at any restaurant. At home when she is not sleeping, she spends her time cooking,
playing...show more content...
She had a scowl and was always irritable. I started to believe that she took after my grandmother. I learned that when my grandmother inflicted pain
and punishment, she used thorny sticks and whatever she could get her hands on. Both of their behaviors and values leave me to question my
own. My mother raised me in a similar way that she was raised but not as extreme. Despite her collective stature, my mother seems to have
selective hearing in that she does not hear my brother when he curses under his breath. She cannot hear me when I ask her questions that she
thinks have an obvious answer or when she is not interested. When she does not want to put effort into talking, she acts like she did not hear or
she tries to keep the conversation short and to the point. "Mom, do you think that I could go to the states and major in computer science?" I asked,
worried about her reaction. "Why, what's wrong with taking nursing at UOG?" she answered, sounding like she was trying to keep her voice from
ascending. "Well, I don't have much of a passion for nursing and I'm really interested in computers." "Your grandmother pushed me to become a
nurse and I'm making a higher income than all of our relatives. You'll be able to find a job anywhere and you'll have the money to buy whatever you
want. You're going to UOG. " She started walking towards her room. "Mom, wait.

Mother Essay : My Mother
My Mom Moms are the most special and pure beings in the world. They are that being who gives everything for love, for her home, for her children
and grandchildren. The mother is such a blessed woman that she endures so many things for the sake of her children, while many times we are
ungrateful to them, assuming that our mothers will always be there for us.
When moms still there with you, it is fortunate to have her, because the kind of love she gives is the purest you can ever find. My mom, for example,
is very special to me, since she has taught me how to live and how to value things in life. She has always been present at all times and has not spent a
single day in which she has forgotten to give me her blessing. she is the one who...show more content...
She always encourages me to work hard, stay focus and never give up. She has been a great example of how to be an excellent mother and wife. What I
admire most about her is that when I was a baby she used to work everyday and I am surprised that she always had time for me and her work, I mean
that working and taking care of a baby is very difficult. Everyday she gets up to work, to be sure that I have everything I need. She's a mother and wife
focused on giving her family the best of her. If my family were in need, she would do whatever it takes to get what is needed.
Another reason why my mother is very special is because she always makes space and takes time to go to my volleyball games. She sometimes has
to drive three or four hours and stay in a hotel just to be present in my games. She gets really involved in the game, she cheers a lot, and she is my
number one cheerleader. My mom sometimes takes goodies to treat my teammates. They all respect and love her because how she treats everyone
on the team. She gets excited and has a lot of fun in my games. I'm thankful for what my mom has done for me. Everyday she's looking for different
ways to improve my lifestyle. The sacrifices she has to make to help me move forward is something I will never be able to pay her back. There's
nothing better than share with her my challenges and achievements. I always ask God to bless me allowing me to have

Autobiography Of My Mother
My mother is mestiza, my father is mestizo, my brother is mestizo, my tias, my tios, as am I. All mestizos. I've been told I am worthy of praise
because I carry your language on my tongue without an accent, because I had an American education, because I can recite allegiance to your country.
I am told I am worthy because I could assimilate to the culture, unlike my parents. I am often presented with shocked faces when I speak my second
language, English, faces that always tell me that they would have never guessed I spoke so perfectly, thinking they'd have to work twice as hard to
understand my heavy, foreign accent–the same accent my parents have. On top of that, I am the color of the sun reigning on my skin. I found from
my 17 years here, it does not matter whether you are the color of milk or whether I speak English without an accent, the moment I speak Spanish
and invite someone outside of my culture into my home and they notice I have Caso Cerrado on TV or see my mother swinging her hips to Vicente
Fernandez, I am no longer White to them or "an insider." I am other, an outsider. A "dangerous" outsider. "Ni de aqui, ni de aca." "Ni de aqui," not
White enough, deemed too Mexican. "Ni de aca," not Mexican enough, mestiza, and too whitewashed. Linda Alcoff (2006) said that after both her and
her sister became "highly assimilated," they found that the process created feelings of alienation, inferiority, and inadequacy (p. 266). They diligently
censored themselves and

My Hero: My Mother Essay
The one person that I could never live without, the reason I am standing till this day, is my mother. My mother is who I thank and admire most of
all. Without her dedication and hard work, I would be in the squatters of the Philippines, stuck in a place where it is a very difficult place to make a
good enough living or even make enough money to keep the bread on the table for your family. Her main goal and dream was to pass the NCLEX
exam, it would permit her to go to America. That would allow her to make a better living and life for herself and to get a job, in order to send back
money needed for her family.
My mom was the eldest of nine siblings. It was extremely difficult for them to have enough money to buy food,...show more content...
She knew that a good education would be the only way to become successful in the future. My mom made a promise to herself, to have full
dedication in her school work in order to move to America, to earn money for her family. She wanted to get control of her life and make sure to have a
great education.
She enjoyed learning and studying in high school. She would lock herself in her room, and sat in a desk that was in the corner of the room. She
would study nonstop, even eating dinner as she read her books. She was so proud of herself when she did great on all her tests and finals. Her
friends would invite her to go out and eat at the mall, but she would remember the promise she made to herself, to put all schoolwork before
everything, because it was more important. Once she graduated high school with the highest average of her class, she worked even harder in her college
classes. She enrolled to get a Metical Technology degree because she knew the employers were always needed in the medical field.
My mom studied day and night to pass her board exam. The board exam was what you needed to pass in order to graduate college. She passed that
exam swiftly and worked toward her next exam, that allowed her to travel to America and would guide her to the successful future she truly deserved.
That exam was called, "The State Board Exam". It was an extremely hard exam that many Filipinos took in order to move to America. Many even took

When we go out, she makes sure that she always has make–up on and a fashionable bag in hand. Sometimes, she'd take a good look at me and say, "You should put on some lipstick and eyeliner! You look dead!" She knows what she wants and how to get it, she speaks with authority when addressing anyone from the lady at the cash register to the waiter at any restaurant. At home when she is not sleeping, she spends her time cooking, playing...show more content... She had a scowl and was always irritable. I started to believe that she took after my grandmother. I learned that when my grandmother inflicted pain and punishment, she used thorny sticks and whatever she could get her hands on. Both of their behaviors and values leave me to question my own. My mother raised me in a similar way that she was raised but not as extreme. Despite her collective stature, my mother seems to have selective hearing in that she does not hear my brother when he curses under his breath. She cannot hear me when I ask her questions that she thinks have an obvious answer or when she is not interested. When she does not want to put effort into talking, she acts like she did not hear or she tries to keep the conversation short and to the point. "Mom, do you think that I could go to the states and major in computer science?" I asked, worried about her reaction. "Why, what's wrong with taking nursing at UOG?" she answered, sounding like she was trying to keep her voice from ascending. "Well, I don't have much of a passion for nursing and I'm really interested in computers." "Your grandmother pushed me to become a nurse and I'm making a higher income than all of our relatives. You'll be able to find a job anywhere and you'll have the money to buy whatever you want. You're going to UOG. " She started walking towards her room. "Mom, wait. Get more content on HelpWriting.net

  • 7. Autobiography Of My Mother My mother is mestiza, my father is mestizo, my brother is mestizo, my tias, my tios, as am I. All mestizos. I've been told I am worthy of praise because I carry your language on my tongue without an accent, because I had an American education, because I can recite allegiance to your country. I am told I am worthy because I could assimilate to the culture, unlike my parents. I am often presented with shocked faces when I speak my second language, English, faces that always tell me that they would have never guessed I spoke so perfectly, thinking they'd have to work twice as hard to understand my heavy, foreign accent–the same accent my parents have. On top of that, I am the color of the sun reigning on my skin. I found from my 17 years here, it does not matter whether you are the color of milk or whether I speak English without an accent, the moment I speak Spanish and invite someone outside of my culture into my home and they notice I have Caso Cerrado on TV or see my mother swinging her hips to Vicente Fernandez, I am no longer White to them or "an insider." I am other, an outsider. A "dangerous" outsider. "Ni de aqui, ni de aca." "Ni de aqui," not White enough, deemed too Mexican. "Ni de aca," not Mexican enough, mestiza, and too whitewashed. Linda Alcoff (2006) said that after both her and her sister became "highly assimilated," they found that the process created feelings of alienation, inferiority, and inadequacy (p. 266).
