between long shots and close ups
In this clip they have utilized the color yellow after the phrase
“run a way” this is telling the audience that if they don’t jump
there not going to do it that’s why the actor is hiding his face as

camera as he is trying to hide from it
In this clip we can see that they are all different but with the same
purpose this is shown through the color scheme/ costume as they are all

In this clip the producer has taken a long shot this is so the audience can
see the location and the environment that this was taken in they have done
it in this environment because of the main lyrics “I'm only human” because

by using this place to convey this idea this is because they will try to get

The producers have utilized a close up shot for this scene and starts to zoom out into
a long shot the producers have done this to make the audience feel like this is a
normal person playing a guitar however when it zooms out the audience soon relies
that it’s more of a parody of the actor playing a guitar as he’s using a racket for it the
audience are shown that they are just a normal family due to the color scheme used
such as grey as this is a plain and dull color there's not much going on and this helps
the audience to focus on the actor and what he’s doing

want the audience to focus on the actors rather than what's happening

•I have a lot of locations I can experiment with for each song for the
music video so I can create a different effect on the audience
•Each song has a unique way of changing the whole concept
through a music video I can do this by editing it through premier

ideas are to do with it being dark so I take a torch I can change the
angle of the shadow and when editing change the color contrast

•One of my ideas is to shot a shot by a dark tunnel this is a
problem as there aren’t any tunnels in my area that I am
wanting this is because I will not be able to get the shots and
the scenery that I am wanting
•As majority of my ideas are outside I am at a disadvantage due
to the weather as if it rains I am unable to take shots due to my
camera isn’t waterproof and could damage it
•Getting some of the camera angles could be a problem
especially when I am trying to get an eagle eye shot as if it is
too windy I will not be able to get my drone in the air and this
will restrict me from getting a good shot that I am wanting to
get
•Also if the weather is bad it could be very difficult to get good
lip syncing as if I am playing the song it could be difficult to
hear it if it is windy I need to be able to hear the music so I can
get the right speed of the lyrics

I think that these types of music videos are designed to grab
the audience’s attention to the product they have successfully
done this through the use of editing by getting numerous
objects to move in strange ways and by changing the pace of
the videos and more. They also use bright colors that you
wouldn’t often see in their videos as well.

SUMMARY
Summary/analysis of track [consider meaning, content,

In ”walk” by kwabs they have made a hip hop as this is
portrayed through the lyrics and the beat of the music, as
this is sort of what draws teens into the music as they have
drums, and they can relate to it through the fashion etc..
The pace of the song is relatively quick however it is
repetitive they have also made the duration of the song
quick this is done on purpose because it interests the
viewers more as it’s quick and doesn’t drag on the use of
the repetition is to make the audience remember the song
easier and to make it catchy for the audience, however in
some parts of the song they slow it down and then sped it
up this will interest the audience into the product as hen it’s
slow the audience listens to the lyrics more whereas when
it’s quick they listen to the beta of the music more.
Furthermore the content of the production is for teens and
young adults this doesn’t have a wide target audience as it

FINAL IDEA – YOUR IDEA
Your creative concept/video synopsis [describe your interpretation, use
of imagery or narrative, genre conventions, etc.]
The song I'm going to be doing is ”walk” by kwabs for this I am going
to be having two actors and I will be using a repetition of camera
angles going between close up, long shot, and also a zoom/ pan. I will
be getting close up shots when the actors are playing an instrument or
when the leading actor is lip syncing a lyric, I will be using the long
shot to give the audience some information about where it is being
filmed and to show all the actors in one clip. I will be using the
pan/zoom to either get ready for a transition or another creative way to
show the whole group. The whole genre of the video that I will be
making will be a hip hop act like in the original I am not making a
parody but my own version of the song. Furthermore I will be using a
bright color scheme to get the audience interested in the product the
color scheme will help with this as it makes the product look more eye
catching and also I can put a hidden message in the video for example
when producers use blue it symbolizes depression and they play
around with these lighting effects to show someone mood or to give a
message of what’s happening. Lastly due to the genre of the music I
will be trying to wear clothes that I think are correct for this type of
music as it’s a hip hop I will be getting the actors to wear hoodies and

You need to assess the viability of your production and
investigate what is required to enable you to make your
music video
Much of this task is hypothetical, which means you will
need to investigate standard costings for such a
production and apply these to your planned production
considering which equipment you would need and
resources, etc

It’s going to be a about someone at rock bottom and
how they get to the top
The pace of the track is quick and sharp as the mood
reflects this as the artist is sad/ happy, also the tone is
serious and this grabs the audience’s attention to the
product
The hardware that I will need is a camera I will be
needing a tripod as well this will help make the shots
more professional and gives a better picture
The software I will need when making the product will be
premier pro and after effects this is to give of some of
the same effects like in the orignal

LOCATIONS
You need to identify locations and plan a recce.
What are the limitations and risks, eg distance, access,
cost, weather? How will you manage this?
For one of the actors that I am using he will be needing
to get the train, I might need to get access into a gym for
some shots and for that I will need to get a bus there so
overall the price would be round £30 for this price
though I will be alright as it isn’t much and also if it
turns out I can’t get in I am able to do the shots outside
as there are places right next to it where I can still get a
good shot
The weather won’t effect my product much as I will be
shooting majority of my shots inside and the shots that I
will take outside I will want it to be raining and this isn’t
a problem due to the time of the year

EQUIPMENT
What do you need? E.g. equipment, resources? Mostly
from college, but who do you need to speak to get this
kit? What is available? When?
Look at equipment hire places, etc
I am fine for equipment the only thing that would be
helpful is a tripod for when I make a shot as this would
give me a better picture apart from that I am fine as I've
got all the software at home if college closes. For the
tripod that I need I will be borrowing it from college to
do this I will be going on the York college website and
booking it for the day that I need it for. Props I don’t
need the only thing I need to worry about is the tripod
and clothes as I am wanting the actors to look casual but
in hoodies to grab teens into the product.

FACILITIES
Where will you edit your video? Do you need any other
specialist facilities…?
When I editing my video it will either be at home or at
college I am able to do it all at home if college closes as
I've got all the software that I need and more. The only
thing that I might need for this product is a tripod or
something like that. the tripod would be to give my
filming better quality so it’s not shaking at all and it will
give a better effect. This would be very handy for me for
if I do a long shot or if I get a cinematic shot the camera
will be still whereas if I was to hold it the camera would
constantly be moving and it wouldn’t look as good.

CREW: What is you team? Who is in it? What are each team
members strengths/weaknesses? When are they available?

I will be having only two actors in it they have both are/
have been in media themselves so they can help me out if I
need some ideas or even to improve on them. There main
strengths are that they are not camera frightened they don’t
get shy around it the only weakness is that one lives on the
other side of York and the other lives near Leeds.
Furthermore I don’t need any more actors I only need two
and that’s it this keeps the budget low and keeps it easier
for people to know what there doing. Also I have already
gotten in contact with the actors to see when they are
available and when is best to film with the weather as I
don’t need them both at the same time I am able to do one
day with one with filming there scenes and then the other
another day if there unavailable on the same days as they
are not in scenes together this makes it easier for me to as I
don’t need to concern myself with the risk of them getting

They are both media students / have been so if I get stuck with how to film
something they can help me put it right or if they have a better location then
me or a better idea I can improve on my work they are also not camera shy so
I know that I will get a good result with having them as my actors as they
know how things work. The only bad thing about it is where they live but also
that they are having to learn a new song as us three having different tastes in
music.

I have checked and I don’t need permission to film here this one reason to
why I have chosen this location and also that if the weather is bad I can still
film as the equipment and the actors are inside. Because of the covid I only
need the lip syncing done which only one actor is needed, and the only
equipment I need Is a camera as there I have good scenery and lots of
opportunities there

I have chosen this location as there's a lot of free space and not many
people there however there is two places inside where I cannot film as I
haven't got permission but I am able to take shots outside this isn’t the
best as if it rains I'm a bit stuck however there is a bridge “millennium
bridge” where we can go if it’s raining and I will still be able to get the
scene that I am wanting. For this I will only need a camera and for the
props I will only need a bandage to pretend the boxer is wrapping his

I have checked this place to see if I need permission to film here and I
don’t need it, I will be using this place as my main area for filming the
video as it’s a good location and if it rains I can get shots from
underneath the bridge as there's some good shots there as well as the
scenery would work very well for this video. Also the only equipment that
I will be needing is a camera and a tripod I don’t need any props for tis
video either which makes it easier to film and I can be creative with my
shots

table in the camera H&S PP on Bb as a staring point
Completing a generic filming assessment would be a
start, then you can add specialist/site specific risks as
you progress your production
Remember, a Risk Assessment is an ongoing document,
you should evaluate if anything changes in production
and when you put control measures in place
