Research
• The research helped me in that I delved into a deeper understanding of
the personal values and lives of graphic designers within the industry of
album artwork. I’m in the idea that my production was heavily inspired by
Hugh Syme’s work for Rush; I feel the cartoon-ish art present in Cat and
Moose does bare similarities to style that Syme undertook for the original
artwork for Hemispheres in particular, and the alchemical symbolism of
Elementals I was educated on through Clockwork Angels, although the
artistic stance I had in mind and produced for that one is more derived
from Daniel Tremonti’s work on AB III (which I did research on an anatomic
level).
• Comparing to the other two, Transition may seem to be more of an “on-
the-spot” piece, although I’d argue that the end result does fit in line with
a common concept I noticed when researching through albums in the
2020s and late 2010s, where there appeared to be a
