Contextual Statement
before I started college, I havealways been interested in doing advertisement
and filming images and more, I have chosen to do a music video becauseI
know I am very strong in print based products for this I can do merchandise
and more. Furthermore, I havealways enjoyed films and videos that others
have made and the freedom that you havewhen creating these types of
products as I am able to be creative. Over the years that I havedone media
through secondary and college as I have been doing media for over 6 years, I
am very confident in creating a professionalproduct that will interest my
target audience. I know that I will create something that is very creative and
interesting for my target audience as I have been researching lots of varied
products this starts fromdifferent genres media from brand adverts such as
print based to films and videos as this has allowed me to learn a wide range of
different types of media on a widebases this enables me to have a larger
target audience as I am capable of making my products moreinteresting for a
wider range audience. As over the years I have learnt from secondary how to
make comic strips and magazine/ posters with somevideo being involved as
we mainly did photoshop which is print based work so when I started college
and started doing my course, I had already developed somestrengths in mainly
print based designs, but I also learn how to use somebasic tech unique a
through some softwaresuch as photoshop, premier pro. So, I believe that I am
very strong in what I can create as I have a strong understanding of my
audience and how to be able to make a creative and interesting designs. Now
that I started college three years ago I havenow know moreadvanced and
technical skills and tools to make moreinteresting designs and more
complexed ideas that I can makeeffectively for example I can now make pixel
art and add animation to it through photoshop and premier pro, when it
comes to video I havegot more advanced with premier pro as I am now using
slow motion effects and various transitions I havelearnt to use in between
clips and footage to make my products more entertaining for my target
audience. Furthermore, I believe that I will create a productthat my target
audience will find interesting and creative becauseI have had a lot of practises
using varies softwareand different hardwaretools through my years of media
as I can use complex and advanced tools such as graphic tablets and more to
help me to create a more professionalproductas I havebeen working on my
weaknesses throughoutmy time at college. I have done this by practising my
editing skills in premier pro as I can now use morecomplexed skills and tools
within premier pro as I can do 3D artwork and design characters, I can edit
footage in a creative way. Therefore, I believe that I am ready to do my fmp as
I know all the skills that I need to be able to complete the productin a creative
way. The reason to why I know how to do this is because u havebeen
practising for years and I have always been researching and developing my
skills as I havebeen watching other content creators as to how they create
their videos and how they create their effects this has helped me to be able to
preparemyself for this project.
As this is my last year in media learning new skills before, I go and get a career
in media I believe that I have learnt more than enough skills to be able to
create interesting products for my target audience as I know how to get my
audience to engage with my work in the way that I want them to. For example
I am able to get a bigger audience then I am anticipating this is through my
secondary audiencesuch as if my target audience was for kids between the
ages off 10-14 I know thatmy secondary audiencewill be teachers and parents
a good example of a company that shows us this would be Disney as they use
jokes that only the older audience will understand this is to keep them
interested in the film as well as the target audience. This is something that I
will be wanting to usein my work to make my productmore interesting for my
audience viewing my work as I want it to be interactive and interesting for my
audience. I will be using all the softwarethat I am strong in to create an
interesting productfor my audience as I will be using photoshop, premier pro
and after effects to create my work on this is becauseit is my strongestarea in
media as I know all the tools and advanced editing skills with in the softwareas
I can create interesting transitions for my audience as this will keep them
interested in my work as they will not get bored off what they are watching. I
will be making the clips/ footage match the speed of the music I will do this by
slowing down the clips/ footagewith slow motion or if it goes quick, I will add
in a lot of transitions I will also be using lots of tools to create this such as the
blending options in photoshop to make certain clips darker or lighter to
interest my audience.
