INDEPENDENT ACTIVITY
What – Creating your music video pitch. 
HOW 
 ALL To complete blog posts – possible tracks, chosen track & 
pinterest inspirations. 
 MOST Will complete the all posts plus the letter to the record label 
 SOME Will write complete the above posts with more analytical 
language. 
WHY 
 ALL Will begin to create the pitch. 
 MOST Will begin to create the pitch to MTG. 
 SOME Exceed their target grade in responses to the pitch.
What should my pitch include? 
• Your pitch should result in a multi media presentation that outlines 
the following; 
1. The track you intend to use. 
2. Where your inspiration has come from. 
3. Who your audience is. 
4. Synopsis of your music video. 
5. Timeline of video 
6. Flat plan designs for the 6 panel digipak and all of the pages of the 
website.
You should start by completing these posts then 
drawing all of the information into your pitch. 
• Possible Tracks 
• Chosen Track 
• Letter to record label/email 
• Pinterest of inspirations for the chosen track 
• Audience Profile 
• Synopsis of video (paragraph outlining performance, concept and locations). 
• Timeline 
• Rough design of webpages 
• Rough design of digipak 
• Pitch prezi 
• Video of pitch
How do I present my pitch? 
• You should produce a multi media presentation that you will present 
to the class. 
• This will be filmed and the .mov should go into a blog post titled 
Pitch. 
• Gather all feedback from peers and teachers and suggest in a post 
titled ‘pitch feedback’ how you will alter your ideas and why.
How many lessons do we have to complete 
this? 
• You have the rest of this week’s lessons and 1 lesson of next week + 
homework time. Pitches will take place in your second lesson next 
week. Week beginning 29th September.

Music Video Pitch 1.0

  • 1. MUSIC VIDEO PITCH INDEPENDENT ACTIVITY
  • 2. What – Creating your music video pitch. HOW  ALL To complete blog posts – possible tracks, chosen track & pinterest inspirations.  MOST Will complete the all posts plus the letter to the record label  SOME Will write complete the above posts with more analytical language. WHY  ALL Will begin to create the pitch.  MOST Will begin to create the pitch to MTG.  SOME Exceed their target grade in responses to the pitch.
  • 3. What should my pitch include? • Your pitch should result in a multi media presentation that outlines the following; 1. The track you intend to use. 2. Where your inspiration has come from. 3. Who your audience is. 4. Synopsis of your music video. 5. Timeline of video 6. Flat plan designs for the 6 panel digipak and all of the pages of the website.
  • 4. You should start by completing these posts then drawing all of the information into your pitch. • Possible Tracks • Chosen Track • Letter to record label/email • Pinterest of inspirations for the chosen track • Audience Profile • Synopsis of video (paragraph outlining performance, concept and locations). • Timeline • Rough design of webpages • Rough design of digipak • Pitch prezi • Video of pitch
  • 5. How do I present my pitch? • You should produce a multi media presentation that you will present to the class. • This will be filmed and the .mov should go into a blog post titled Pitch. • Gather all feedback from peers and teachers and suggest in a post titled ‘pitch feedback’ how you will alter your ideas and why.
  • 6. How many lessons do we have to complete this? • You have the rest of this week’s lessons and 1 lesson of next week + homework time. Pitches will take place in your second lesson next week. Week beginning 29th September.
