• Choose a music video with an interesting visual style. Take
9 screen grabs of scenes throughout the video to analyse

• Mind map early ideas for track selection and visual style
(could use Wordle).
• ‘Collage’ style image or photo’s to represent chosen
target audience.
• Logo ideas to represent record label.
• Screen test shots of possible actors/locations.
Detailed analysis of a music video of similar genre
• You should complete a detailed analysis of a music video of
a similar genre, which you wish to create for your music
promo.
• Use the guide sheet found on VLE and blog.
• Embed video onto blog.
YouTube, Blogger Evidence must be posted
onto your blog under the
heading ‘Detailed Video
Analysis’
Any activities not finished before 1st
July must be completed by 5th
September 2011.
By September you should have shortlisted some tracks which you may use for your music video. You should also have
some creative ideas ready to start your production immediately. Your blog is an ongoing diary so you should keep adding
to your ideas during the summer break.
