Creating your Pitch
What should my pitch include?
Part 1.
Your pitch should result in a multi media presentation
that outlines the following;
1. The track you intend to use (you must evidence that
you’ve wrote an appropriate letter to the record label
to seek permission to use the song and this must be
uploaded to your blog)
2. Where your inspiration has come from (analytical and
technical reference to music videos, digipaks and
band websites).
This should be done on a pininterest
www.pininterest.com and the link to the board put into
your blog.
What should my pitch include?
Part 2
For the second part of your pitch you must
outline your rough ideas.
1. Synopsis of your music video. You should
create a rough timeline of the track and
indicate, roughly, what you’d shoot and
when.
What should my pitch include?
Part 3
The final part of the pitch should include;
1. Flat plan designs for the 6 panel digipak and
all of the pages of the website
How do I present my pitch?
1. Ensure that all content for the pitch is in appropriately titled
blogposts e.g.
• Chosen Track and inspirations
• Letter to the record label
• Music Video Timeline planning
• Digipak Flat plan
• Website page designs
2. Link all of the content together in a prezi ready to pitch your idea
to the class. This should go into a blog post titled Pitch.
3. Gather all feedback from peers and teachers and suggest in a post
titled ‘pitch feedback’ how you will alter your ideas and why.
How many lessons do we have to
complete this?
You have the rest of this weeks lessons +
homework time.
Pitches will take place in your last lesson of
week beginning 7th September.
You will upload feedback given and reflect on
this suggesting what improvements you need to
make.
