Most of my respondents were female.
80% were female and only 20% were
male. Whilst distributing my
questionnaires, I should’ve given 5
males a questionnaire each and 5
females a questionnaire to avoid a
bias result.

that the preferred music genre
is pop, revealing that 80%
prefer this genre of music.
Only 10% enjoys Indie and
only another 10% enjoys rap
music. None of my recipients
preferred rock or classical
music.

read by my respondents. 60%
preferred Billboard and only

mastheads do you prefer?
For my music magazine that I have
created myself. I asked my
respondents which masthead they
prefer. The most preferred masthead
was ‘Beats’ resulting in 40%
preferring this to the other mastheads.
‘Shuffle’ had 30% the second highest
vote. However, the other mastheads a
small percentage of readers preferred
were ‘Plugged in,’ and also ‘Rhythm.’
None of my respondents preferred the
masthead ‘Chords.’

Music Magazine Questionnaire Analysis

  • 2. What Gender are you? Most of my respondents were female. 80% were female and only 20% were male. Whilst distributing my questionnaires, I should’ve given 5 males a questionnaire each and 5 females a questionnaire to avoid a bias result. Gender Female Male
  • 3. What genre of music do you enjoy? My collection of data reveals that the preferred music genre is pop, revealing that 80% prefer this genre of music. Only 10% enjoys Indie and only another 10% enjoys rap music. None of my recipients preferred rock or classical music. Magazine Q Billboard NME Kerrang MoJo
  • 4. Which of the following magazines would you read? Q Billboard NME MoJo Kerrang By collecting my results, I have discovered that Billboard is the most preferred music magazine read by my respondents. 60% preferred Billboard and only 10% would wish to read Q magazine.   • 5. Which of the following mastheads do you prefer? For my music magazine that I have created myself. I asked my respondents which masthead they prefer. The most preferred masthead was ‘Beats’ resulting in 40% preferring this to the other mastheads. ‘Shuffle’ had 30% the second highest vote. However, the other mastheads a small percentage of readers preferred were ‘Plugged in,’ and also ‘Rhythm.’ None of my respondents preferred the masthead ‘Chords.’ 40%- Beats 20%-Rhythm 30%-Shuffle 10% -Plugged in 0%-Chords Masthead Rhythm Chords Beats Shuffle Plugged in
  • 6. Which of the following slogans do you prefer? This pie chart shows which slogans were preferred by my respondents. The most preferred slogan was ‘Discover, Download and shuffle.’ The other two slogans were equally preferred by a smaller group of respondents.   • 8. How much would you pay for a music magazine? I have found out that many of my responders would pay £1.00-£1.50 for a magazine. Also, the same number of people would pay £1.60-£2.00.
