This document provides an overview of a graduate course on motivation designed to inspire classroom success. It discusses how the brain prioritizes information and survival-emotions-learning. Key theories on motivation are explained, including pain vs pleasure, Glasser's needs, and internal control theory. Research indicates that setting goals may be the most significant act in school improvement and that teacher motivation is the school-related factor most likely to affect student achievement. The presentation emphasizes creating an environment where students' basic needs are met and encouraging risk-taking, defining effort, and setting learning goals.

Creativity & Innovation are the two buzzwords floating around in almost every sphere of life. Everyone wants to be creative and wants to know more about creativity.
Most of us have some ideas about what is creativity and what are the sources of creativity. However, many times these anecdotal concepts may be misconcepts.
Mastering any skill requires basic understanding of original sources of that particular skill.
So is the case for creativity.
When I facilitate my flagship program on “Creativity @ Workplace”, which is conducted in Five weekends, invariably a discussion pops up regarding original source of Creativity.
Recently I delivered a two hours seminar on “Roots of Human Creativity” at local Chamber of Commerce.
Sharing the Presentation of the same.
Hope you would like it.
Please do drop I a few lines of feedback/comments.

Brain Computer Interface and Artificial Brain: Interfacing Microelectronics a...Lk Rigor
Signals from the brain can be processed to improve quality of human life. Such is the aim of biotechnology, to harness cellular and biomolecular processes to develop technologies that can improve human life. How can brain computer interface (BCI) and artificial brain achieve that?
Whole brain teaching is a new "radical" idea to some, however it is nothing more than tried and true teaching practices, combined into a new approach. Whole brain teaching combines direct instruction, , sharing and immediate feedback to become a new style of teaching. Whole brain teaching surmounts to seven steps that a teacher incorporates into their everyday classroom.
Have you ever fumbled with your radio button for a long period of time? Sometimes it can be impossible to find a good station or even a good song. This same concept can be applied to life. We are constantly fumbling with our own radio buttons. Only in real life, our radio buttons are our pineal glands. This is the teeny tiny little pine shape thingy in the center of the brain that sends and receives signals, much like a radio station. Once we’re able to activate the pineal gland, we are then able to open our third eye. This enables us to send and receive messages from all over the world. Sadly, most people don’t understand that they have this power. People watch television, listen to the radio, and search the Internet, without even understanding how these things work. Contrary to popular belief, these signals work much like radio waves. http://youtu.be/YK49RQP1bLY
Artificial Intelligence is being supplanted by "Artificial Brain," i.e. neuromorphic technologies. Yet there still a whopping gap that neuromorphic systems need to close before they will become a match for successful AI applications.

Effective teaching is more than a good lecture. In fact, it may be NO lecture at all. This presentation suggests dozens of effective structures. While many are not fully explained here, they are easily found in many locations on the internet and in the woks of Gardner, Tomlinson, Marzano, Sternberg, Costa, Solomon and others.
We all hope to lead happy, meaningful lives. Is there a way for us to achieve that while working in higher education? Can our students find personal fulfillment in the classroom as well? The principles of positive psychology suggest a definitive “yes!” to both of these questions. This presentation challenged attendees to identify their true purpose for pursuing work in higher education; to learn how the principles of positive psychology are applicable to the field of higher education; and to explore specific pathways to teaching, embedding, and living positive education.
Slidecast based on a presentation given on October 29th 2009. An attempt to drill down to find concrete strategies to encourage optimal motivation for learning. Far from being an expert on this, this was an opportunity for me to explore a topic of interest.

He discussed the concept of quality improvement, emphasizing its applicability to various aspects of life, including personal, project, and program improvements. He defined quality as doing the right thing at the right time in the right way to achieve the best possible results and discussed the concept of the "gap" between what we know and what we do, and how this gap represents the areas we need to improve. He explained the scientific approach to quality improvement, which involves systematic performance analysis, testing and learning, and implementing change ideas. He also highlighted the importance of client focus and a team approach to quality improvement.
We all have good and bad thoughts from time to time and situation to situation. We are bombarded daily with spiraling thoughts(both negative and positive) creating all-consuming feel , making us difficult to manage with associated suffering. Good thoughts are like our Mob Signal (Positive thought) amidst noise(negative thought) in the atmosphere. Negative thoughts like noise outweigh positive thoughts. These thoughts often create unwanted confusion, trouble, stress and frustration in our mind as well as chaos in our physical world. Negative thoughts are also known as “distorted thinking”.
