Why not CLIL?
SWOT ANALYSIS about CLIL
STRENGTHS WEAKNESSES
 CLIL can make students to see
physical Education through a
different and richer point of view.
 CLIL can open students’ mind in a
natural and integrated way
forward to a more global learning
environment.
 CLIL can fight against the deep
embarrassment which is so
obvious among teenagers while
they learn a bit more of English
 Students who do not have a
previous level of English may
have problems when following
classes and the specific contents
will be harder to understand.
 Teacher’s lack of vocabulary or
fluency when explaining or
answering students’ questions
 Students and teachers are not
used to this kind of teaching-
learning methods.
OPPORTUNITIES THREATS
 Help students to express
themselves in a different
language and share their
knowledge.
 Put in practise a second language
in a real situation, learn new
vocabulary and improve English
level.
 Students may be more focused
and motivated on the subject
trying to better understand the
teacher and communicate with
their mates.
 I would like other professors, the
Principal and his stuff to believe
in the CLIL methodology and
promote a project.
 Coordinate a team work to
envelope a CLIL project.
 Have the necessary time to
create a project.
