SWOT ANALYSIS about CLIL
STRENGTHS WEAKNESSES
 Studying in another
language become a
challenge for our students.
 Students get improve in
language skills.
 Teachers has to make an
extra effort in order to
change their lessons, so it
implies a review of their
work.
 Most of our students don’t
have enough English
literacy.
 Most of teachers don’t have
enough English literacy,
also.
 CLIL implies an extra work
that some teachers don’t
want to take on.
OPPORTUNITIES THREATS
 We can share experiences
with students from other
countries
 Our students are learning
other languages without the
pressure of marks and
grades.
 Finding out a lot of new
vocabulary from other
subjects.
 Grades would be lower
 Some students wouldn’t get
involved in clil lessons
because of their language
skills
 Official tests, such as
competences, aren’t in
English

Why not CLIL? 1 SWOT ANALYSIS about CLIL STRENGTHS WEAKNESSES  Studying in another language become a challenge for our students.  Students get improve in language skills.  Teachers has to make an extra effort in order to change their lessons, so it implies a review of their work.  Most of our students don’t have enough English literacy.  Most of teachers don’t have enough English literacy, also.  CLIL implies an extra work that some teachers don’t want to take on. OPPORTUNITIES THREATS  We can share experiences with students from other countries  Our students are learning other languages without the pressure of marks and grades.  Finding out a lot of new vocabulary from other subjects.  Grades would be lower  Some students wouldn’t get involved in clil lessons because of their language skills  Official tests, such as competences, aren’t in English
