This document discusses the advantages and disadvantages of Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL). Some advantages are that it allows students to learn a foreign language naturally in other subject classes, it works on all four language skills, and increases student motivation. Some disadvantages are that students initially earn lower marks, teachers may not have perfect fluency, and parents cannot help with homework if they don't know the foreign language. However, the conclusion is that CLIL is one of the best methods for teaching a foreign language and that over time the disadvantages will be overcome as fluency improves.
