This document summarizes Janeth Castillo Rubiano's midterm evaluation for her teaching practicum at Corporación Universitaria del Caribe CECAR. The study aims at exploring thespeaking difficulties encountered by English language students at Al Quds Open University. The study ,more over aims at exploring the causes of such difficulties. The researcher used the experimental method so as to show and measure the speaking difficulties encountered by English language students at Al Quds Open University. The researcher designed an interview to be applied on the sample of the study. Such interview will be applied for each student to investigate speaking difficulties and the causes of such difficulties . The results showed and indicated there some difficulties in the speaking of the students due to some reasons such as fear of mistake , shyness, anxiety and lack of confidence. The researcher adopted some recommendations the most important one is to establish an environment support and encourage the students to speak English frequently, and he suggested carrying out more researches and studies regarding speaking difficulties encountered by English language students.

Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasn’t one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.

Diagnostic test When I started my practices I applied a
diagnostic test to the students and I
evaluated their previous knowledge.
The diagnostic test was of oral way,
like that I evaluated the pronunciation,
the speaking, and also I spoke English
with them because I wanted if they
understand when a person is speaking
in English (listening).
Besides that, they developed a test
following my instructions.
In the written test I evaluated grammar
and vocabulary, the grammar
evaluated was according to the grade
and the DBA (Basic learning rights).

English level, so much so that they
have shortfalls in basic topics of the
subject, such as the alphabet, family
among other things, therefore they do
not have the knowledge neither the
pronunciation nor grammar of the
topics to follow in the curriculum.
The teachers of
the elementary
school have
been teaching
for many years,
for that reason
they were not
prepared to
teach English,
this situation has
taken them to
write on the
board without
teaching
pronunciation
and grammar.
Due to this, it
presents
difficulty to
keep going with
the
corresponding
topics with the
grade according
