The Wireless sensor networks (WSN) consisting of a large number of sensors that are effective for gathering data
in a variety of environments, as the sensor operate on battery which is of limited power. To support high scalability and better data aggregation in fixed base station communication, sensor nodes are often grouped into disjoint, non overlapping subsets called clusters. Clusters create hierarchical WSN which incorporate efficient utilization of limited resources of sensor nodes. These clusters are formed by specialized cells. Each cluster is managed by a special node called cluster head and advanced node. An algorithm for better cluster head selection

Data gathering in wireless sensor networks using intermediate nodesIJCNCJournal
Energy consumption is an essential concern to Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs).The major cause of the energy consumption in WSNs is due to the data aggregation. A data aggregation is a process of collecting data from sensor nodes and transmitting these data to the sink node or base station. An effective way to perform such a task is accomplished by using clustering. In clustering, nodes are grouped into clusters where a number of nodes, called cluster heads, are responsible for gathering data from other nodes, aggregate them and transmit them to the Base Station (BS).
In this paper we produce a new algorithm which focused on reducing the transmission bath between sensor nodes and cluster heads. A proper utilization and reserving of the available power resources is achieved with this technique compared to the well-known LEACH_C algorithm.
SECTOR TREE-BASED CLUSTERING FOR ENERGY EFFICIENT ROUTING PROTOCOL IN HETEROG...IJCNCJournal
One of the main challenges for researchers to build routing protocols is how to use energy efficiently to extend the lifespan of the whole wireless sensor networks (WSN) because sensor nodes have limited battery power resources. In this work, we propose a Sector Tree-Based clustering routing protocol (STB-EE) for Energy Efficiency to cope with this problem, where the entire network area is partitioned into dynamic sectors (clusters), which balance the number of alive nodes. The nodes in each sector only communicate with their nearest neighbour by constructing a minimum tree based on the Kruskal algorithm and using mixed distance from candidate node to base station (BS) and remaining energy of candidate nodes to determine which node will become the cluster head (CH) in each cluster? By calculating the duration of time in each round for suitability, STB-EE increases the number of data packets sent to the BS. Our simulation results show that the network lifespan using STB-EE can be improved by about 16% and 10% in comparison to power-efficient gathering in sensor information system (PEGASIS) and energy-efficient PEGASIS-based protocol (IEEPB), respectively.
Location updation for energy efficient geographic routing in maneteSAT Journals
Abstract Routing in mobile ad-hoc networks with a large number of nodes or with high mobility is a very difficult task and energy conservation is very important for mobile devices. In geographic routing each node require information about neighbors to forward data packets. Earlier periodic updations are used for location updation but it consumes much amount of node energy and bandwidth utilized for unnecessary updation where there is no changes in the location information. In this paper adaptive position update used with less energy consumption and utilize the bandwidth for location updation only when there is a change in the network. The GPSR protocol used for packet forwarding in both greedy forwarding and perimeter forwarding. This adaptive updation utilize only less amount of node energy than other beaconing scheme. Index Terms:Routing protocols, Beacon updation scheme, Wireless communication, Greedy forwarding, Adaptive position updation.

Wireless sensor network are increasingly used in data-intensive applications such as micro-climate monitoring,
precision agriculture and audio/video surveillance. A key challenges faced by data-intensive wsn’s is to transmit
all the data generated with an application’s lifetime to the base station despite the fact that sensor nodes have
limited power supply. We propose using low-cost disposable mobile really and our work in the following
aspects First, it does not require complex motion planning of mobile nodes. Second we integrate the energy
consumption due to both mobility and wireless transmission. Our framework consists of first algorithm
computes an optimal routing tree. The second, we integrate the energy consumption due to both mobility and
wireless transmissions .The second algorithm improves the topology of the routing tree by greedily adding new
nodes. The third algorithm improves the routing tree by relocating its nodes without changing its topology.

performance of the three prominent routing protocols for the mobile relay is Adhoc on Demand Distance Vector

We have chosen four performance metrics such as Average Delay, Packet Delivery Fraction, Routing load and
varying Mobility nodes, simulation for the popular routing protocols AODV, DSDV, and TORA. The
simulation is carried out on NS-2. The performance differentials are analyzed using varying network size and
simulations times. The simulation results confirm that ADVO performs well in terms of Average Delay, Packet
Delivery Fraction. As far as routing load concers TORA performs well.
Power Optimization Technique for Sensor NetworkEditor IJCATR
In this paper different power optimization techniques for wireless sensor network is proposed and compared. The
energy conservation in a wireless sensor network is of great significance and very essential. The nodes in a wireless environment are
subject to less transmission capabilities and limited battery resources. There are several issues that constrain the WSNs and challenges
posed by the environment of handling traffic and the lifetime of the battery in the nodes. The battery of node is energy limited and is
not convenient to be replaced by the restriction of circumstance. But we have to ensure that even the slightest of energy is utilized and
the overall power conserved in a wireless environment is greatly reduced. This paper aims to reduce the power conservation in a
wireless sensor network using Dijkstra‘s algorithm, with a set of optimal path and available idle nodes.

Each technological age has been marked by a shift in how the industrial platform enables companies to rethink their business processes and create wealth. In the talk I argue that we are limiting our view of what this next industrial/digital age can offer because of how we read, measure and through that perceive the world (how we cherry pick data). Companies are locked in metrics and quantitative measures, data that can fit into a spreadsheet. And by that they see the digital transformation merely as an efficiency tool to the fossil fuel age. Performance Evaluation of Mini-sinks Mobility Using Multiple Paths in Wireles...CSCJournals
This paper presents a new approach based on the use of many data collectors, which we designate Mini-Sinks (MSs), instead of a single sink to collect the data in order to improve Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) performance. One or more MS are mobile and move according to a controlled arbitrary mobility model inside the sensor field in order to maintain a fully-connected network topology, collecting data within their coverage areas and forwarding it towards the single main sink. Energy Conserving Routing Protocol (ECRP), based on route diversity, is implemented in MSs and sensors in order to optimize the transmission cost of the forwarding scheme. A set of multiple routing paths between MSs and sensors is generated to distribute the global traffic over the entire network. Simulations were performed in order to validate the performance of our new approach. We compare the results obtained with those for a single static sink and mobile sink, and show that our approach can achieve better performances such as packet delivery ratio, throughput, end-to-end delay, network lifetime, residual energy, energy and routing diversity overhead.
Scheduling different types of packets, such as
real-time and non-real-time data packets, at sensor nodes with
resource constraints in Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN) is of
vital importance to reduce sensors’ energy consumptions and endto-end
data transmission delays. Most of the existing packetscheduling
mechanisms of WSN use First Come First Served
(FCFS), non pre-emptive priority and pre-emptive priority
scheduling algorithms. These algorithms incur a high processing
overhead and long end-to-end data transmission delay due to the
FCFS concept, starvation of high priority real-time data packets
due to the transmission of a large data packet in non pre-emptive
priority scheduling, starvation of non-real-time data packets due
to the probable continuous arrival of real-time data in preemptive
priority scheduling, and improper allocation of data
packets to queues in multilevel queue scheduling algorithms.
Moreover, these algorithms are not dynamic to the changing
requirements of WSN applications since their scheduling policies
are predetermined.
In the Advanced Multilevel Priority packet scheduling
scheme, each node except those at the last level has three levels of
priority queues. According to the priority of the packet and
availability of the queue, node will schedule the packet for
transmission. Due to separated queue availability, packet
transmission delay is reduced. Due to reduction in packet
transmission delay, node can goes into sleep mode as soon as
possible. And Expired packets are deleted at the particular node
at itself before reaching the base station, so that processing
burden on the node is reduced. Thus, energy of the node is saved.
A Review Study on Shortest Path in WSN to detect the Abnormal Packet for savi...Editor IJMTER
The main motive of this research is to study energy-efficient data-gathering mechanisms to
abnormal packet data for saving the energy. To detect the abnormal packet irregularities is useful for
saving energy, as well as for management of network, because the patterns found can be used for
both decision making in applications and system performance tuning. Node distribution in WSNs is
either deterministic or self-organizing and application dependant. The sensor nodes in WSNs have
minimum energy and they use their energy for communication and sensing.

Node Failure Prevention by Using Energy Efficient Routing In Wireless Sensor ...IJTET Journal
The most necessary issue that has to be solved in coming up with an information transmission rule for
wireless unplanned networks is a way to save unplanned node energy whereas meeting the wants of applications
users because the unplanned nodes are battery restricted. Whereas satisfying the energy saving demand, it’s
conjointly necessary to realize the standard of service. Just in case of emergency work, it's necessary to deliver the
information on time. Achieving quality of service in is additionally necessary. So as to realize this demand, Power -
efficient Energy-Aware routing protocol for wireless unplanned networks is planned that saves the energy by
expeditiously choosing the energy economical path within the routing method. When supply finds route to
destination, it calculates α for every route. The worth α is predicated on largest minimum residual energy of the trail
and hop count of the trail. If a route has higher α, then that path is chosen for routing the information. The worth of α
are higher, if the most important of minimum residual energy of the trail is higher and also the range of hop count is
lower. Once the trail is chosen, knowledge is transferred on the trail. So as to extend the energy potency any
transmission power of the nodes is additionally adjusted supported the situation of their neighbour. If the neighbours
of a node are closely placed thereto node, then transmission vary of the node is diminished. Thus it's enough for the
node to own the transmission power to achieve the neighbour at intervals that vary. As a result transmission power
of the node is cut back that later on reduces the energy consumption of the node. Our planned work is simulated
through Network machine (NS-2). Existing AODV and Man-Min energy routing protocol conjointly simulated
through NS-2 for performance comparison. Packet Delivery quantitative relation, Energy Consumption and end-toend
delay.

Effective Application Security in Software Delivery lifecycle using Deployment Firewall and DBOM
The modern software delivery process (or the CI/CD process) includes many tools, distributed teams, open-source code, and cloud platforms. Constant focus on speed to release software to market, along with the traditional slow and manual security checks has caused gaps in continuous security as an important piece in the software supply chain. Today organizations feel more susceptible to external and internal cyber threats due to the vast attack surface in their applications supply chain and the lack of end-to-end governance and risk management.
The software team must secure its software delivery process to avoid vulnerability and security breaches. This needs to be achieved with existing tool chains and without extensive rework of the delivery processes. This talk will present strategies and techniques for providing visibility into the true risk of the existing vulnerabilities, preventing the introduction of security issues in the software, resolving vulnerabilities in production environments quickly, and capturing the deployment bill of materials (DBOM).

I have heard many times that architecture is not important for the front-end. Also, many times I have seen how developers implement features on the front-end just following the standard rules for a framework and think that this is enough to successfully launch the project, and then the project fails. How to prevent this and what approach to choose? I have launched dozens of complex projects and during the talk we will analyze which approaches have worked for me and which have not.

JAVA 2013 IEEE MOBILECOMPUTING PROJECT Mobile relay configuration in data intensive wireless sensor networks
1. Mobile Relay Configuration in Data-intensive Wireless Sensor
Networks
Abstract
Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs) are increasingly used in data-intensive applications such as
micro-climate monitoring, precision agriculture, and audio/video surveillance. A key challenge
faced by data-intensive WSNs is to transmit all the data generated within an application’s lifetime to
the base station despite the fact that sensor nodes have limited power supplies. We propose using
low-cost disposable mobile relays to reduce the energy consumption of data-intensive WSNs. Our
approach differs from previous work in two main aspects. First, it does not require complex motion
planning of mobile nodes, so it can be implemented on a number of low-cost mobile sensor
platforms. Second, we integrate the energy consumption due to both mobility and wireless
transmissions into a holistic optimization framework. We present efficient distributed
implementations for each algorithm that require only limited, localized synchronization. Because we
do not necessarily compute an optimal topology, our final routing tree is not necessarily optimal.
However, our simulation results show that our algorithms significantly outperform the best existing
solutions.
EXISTING SYSTEM
Wireless Multimedia Sensor Networks (WMSNs) has many challenges such as nature of wireless
media and multimedia information transmission. Consequently traditional mechanisms for network
layers are no longer acceptable or applicable for these networks.

2. PROPOSED SYSTEM
We use low-cost disposable mobile relays to reduce the total energy consumption of dataintensive
WSNs. Different from mobile base station or data mules, mobile relays do not transport data;
instead, they move to different locations and then remain stationary to forward data along the paths
from the sources to the base station. Thus, the communication delays can be significantly reduced
compared with using mobile sinks or data mules. Moreover, each mobile node performs a single
relocation unlike other approaches which require repeated relocations.
MODULE DESCRIPTION:
Mobile Relays:
The network consists of mobile relay nodes along with static base station and data
sources. Relay nodes do not transport data; instead, they move to different locations to
decrease the transmission costs. We use the mobile relay approach in this work.
Goldenberg et al. [13] showed that an iterative mobility algorithm where each relay node
moves to the midpoint of its neighbors converges on the optimal solution for a single routing path.
However, they do not account for the cost of moving the relay nodes. In mobile nodes decide to
move only when moving is beneficial, but the only position considered is the midpoint of neighbors.
Sink:
The sink is the point of contact for users of the sensor network. Each time the sink receives a
question from a user, it first translates the question into multiple queries and then disseminates
the queries to the corresponding mobile relay, which process the queries based on their data and
return the query results to the sink. The sink unifies the query results from multiple storage nodes
into the final answer and sends it back to the user.
Source Nodes:
The source nodes in our problem formulation serve as storage points which cache the data
gathered by other nodes and periodically transmit to the sink, in response to user queries. Such a
network architecture is consistent with the design of storagecentric sensor networks [38]. Our
3. problem formulation also considers the initial positions of nodes and the amount of data that needs
to be transmitted from each storage node to the sink.
Tree Optimization:
we consider the subproblem of finding the optimal positions of relay nodes for a routing tree
given that the topology is fixed. We assume the topology is a directed tree in which the leaves are
sources and the root is the sink. We also assume that separate messages cannot be compressed or
merged; that is, if two distinct messages of lengths m1 and m2 use the same link (si, sj ) on the
path from a source to a sink, the total number of bits that must traverse link (si, sj ) is m1 + m2.

CONCLUSION
Our approach can work with less optimal initial configurations including one generated using only
local information such as greedy geographic routing. Our approach improves the initial
configuration using two iterative schemes. The first inserts new nodes into the tree. The second
computes the optimal positions of relay nodes in the tree given a fixed topology. This algorithm is
appropriate for a variety of data-intensive wireless sensor networks. It allows some nodes to move
while others do not because any local improvement for a given mobile relay is a global improvement.
This allows us to potentially extend our approach to handle additional constraints on individual
nodes such as low energy levels or mobility restrictions due to application requirements. Our
approach can be implemented in a centralized or distributed fashion. Our simulations show it
substantially reduces the energy consumption by up to 45%.
