  • #14 Almost everyone has stood in a line and overheard the personal conversation of someone on a cell phone or been interrupted as a person answers their cell phone in the middle of a meeting or one-on-one conversation. We’ve all heard about cell phone photos posted online or cell phone videos taken secretly and uploaded to sites like YouTube. Creating a culture in which students are encouraged and expected to use cell phones within a set of guidelines provides the potential to teach about copyright, content creation, protection of privacy, and ethical use. This helps to reinforce positive and appropriate cell phone use. Doug Johnson - A Proposal for Banning Scissors 2005 The abuse of a thing is neither good or bad. Pencils and scissors are neither good or bad. You could stab someone with a sharpened pencil or a pair o scissors. Technology is neither good or bad.
