This document discusses determining the angle of twist of shafts subjected to torque. It provides formulas for calculating the angle of twist based on the applied torque, shear modulus, and polar moment of inertia. For shafts with non-uniform cross sections or multiple torques, the total angle of twist is the vector sum of the twist of each segment.
