Persuasive Essay On Concealed Weapons
Citizens should not carry Guns or no is not like Apple vs Oranges. Does wearing a weapon really
reduce your chances of being attacked? Being capable of conveying a concealed gun has been a
controversial subject matter for years. Most of the people being able to convey concealed guns due to
the fact it is a shape of self protection. Concealed weapons say that it isn t always a powerful form of
self defense. If someone is attacked, they are saying the victim will now not have sufficient time to tug
out a gun to shield themselves. However, societies who are in opposition to sporting if a person

With extra Americans now exercising their prison proper to hold firearms, police find themselves

hard to find a criminal among the citizens carrying the guns. Residents should not have the capacity to

Individuals at the scene of the wrongdoing when it happened that are conveying hidden weapons

One more reason for accepting legally to carry disguised guns expands the probabilities of something

encounter could transform into a shouting match and the man with the disguised weapon could shoot
the other man. These odds can increment additionally when the individual with the disguised weapon

Nt1310 Question Choice
1. Question Choice
How did I choose this question?
On the right is a mind map which I created in order to narrow down my topic and my question. I
combined both of my mind maps into one to save space. My topic started with just the capability, ICT,
particularly the Creating with ICT. From there, I narrowed it down to either a software or a hardware
project, because they are the main sections within computers. From software I had the idea of either
programing a game, programming a physics engine (program an object to respond realistically to
physics within a digital environment), or to program procedural generation (digitally generating a
random yet realistic landscape). From hardware I decided on either building a computer cluster
(Several computers linked which can then work as one) or to build a computer. From both hardware
and software, I had the idea to build my own gaming console with an Arduino (small programmable
circuit board), or to program an operating system for a Raspberry Pi (a single circuit board computer).
After I had found these topics, I extended the mind map further ... Show more content on

The first step is to build a computer cluster using 10 nodes plus the master. Each node is a desktop
computer which will all be linked together, and then connected to one master computer. The master
computer delegates tasks to different nodes, and then each node will send the data back to the master.
This is the same process which computers currently use when they contain more than one processor,
and is referred to as parallel processing. After the cluster has been built, the efficiency will be
measured by measuring physical dimensions, processing power, and power consumption. This will
then be compared to an average modern computer. Finally, an overview of the process will be written
in the form of instructions for someone else to build a similar cluster, and the pros and cons of using a
cluster, compared to other

Lego Case Study
Lego The way the world plays
An Introduction:
LEGO Lego) is a privately held consumer product company engaged in the manufacture and
distribution of a wide range of toys, video games and online games. A powerful and instantly
recognized global brand has been a key feature of Lego s success.
Lego has worked hard to establish this brand through a number of routes. The group organizes its
business into four main categories: the core business of play materials, family attractions, lifestyle
products, and media. In each of these categories the brand is clearly and consistently applied. ... Show

* Re positioning: Reposition Lego without compromising or diluting the brand promise of quality,
inspiring creative imagination and that only the best will do for its customers. * Extensibility: It needs
to review product diversification Example With an aim to become a lifestyle brand Lego diversified
into clothes, video games and watches. Care needs to be taken not to dilute the brand equity while
increasing product offerings * Improve Distribution: Bionicle was a successful toy but it was criticised
for having poor stocks though the product had a high demand, and the lesser popular toys were
available in stores. Hence a weak distribution network can be proving detrimental in such a
competitive environment.
Question 2:
In 2004, Lego continued its promotional and product tie ups with Harry Potter and Spiderman. This
move is critical since sales and company profits will have to depend on these partnerships and there
may be times when there is no release of the particular blockbuster series movie and this dependency
can prove detrimental if it s the sole business driver. Too many of these tie ups will be viewed as a
block to creativity and then fail to deliver the open ended imaginative play aspect of Lego on which
the brand is

The World Of Mysteries And Wonders
The TV flashed the commercial I had seen more times than I could count. Various scenes of a fantasy
world flitted across the screen while a slightly overdramatic voiceover played up pretty much every
trope imaginable.
Imagine a world with infinite possibilities...
A nomadic trading caravan traveled through a desert sandstorm with their wares packed on the backs
of strange beasts.
A world of unending adventures...
A group of large, muscular people wearing leather and fur armors with rough looking weapons stood
off against a very aggressive looking mammoth like beast in the middle of a snow covered forest.
A world of mysteries and wonders...
A dwarven miner chipping away some rock in an underground cave, revealing a strange, glowing ...

However, since most of my coworkers have similar interests we get along pretty well, and most of us
were anticipating the release of SWO.
Morning Nathan. Ready for what will probably be the longest Friday at the office in a while?
As I walked into the office I was greeted by my coworker, Erik. He, like me, was clearly already
mentally ready for the weekend and playing the game judging by the fact that the SWO website was
up on his computer rather than any work. Luckily it was a holiday weekend, so the boss honestly wasn
t expecting much from us today. Additionally, a lot of us had put in a few extra vacation days as well
to get as much playtime in as possible. I actually had all of the next week off, since I had a lot of
vacation time banked up and rarely actually use any of it.
Hey Erik, let s grab some coffee and get this day over with.
We chuckled and headed to the break room, mugs in hand. This was something like a morning ritual
for us. We d go get some coffee, chat for a bit, then get to work. Today the chatting inevitably ended
up on SWO.
So, you gonna go random, or design your character?
I ll most likely go random. It s worth it to try, after all. And no matter what you end up with, the game
should be fun.
SWO s character creation was one of the things that had received a lot of discussion. In addition to a
large number of races to choose from, players would also be given the option of randomizing their

Todd Park Research Paper
Whenever a good rainfall comes in, one thing that troubles councilmember Oscar Galvan s mind are
the dugouts at Todd Park being flooded once again. Reaching levels high enough to cover the 20 year
old bench in the dugout that hasn t went through any remodeling or has seen much improvement,
Galvan said renovations are past due . With local baseball and softball teams now conditioning,
Galvan worries how teams will be accommodated once the spring season starts. When the water level
rises, the city has to come by and pump it, Galvan said. Making the serviceable effort to stop by to
sweep and clean the dugouts once a week, Galvan finds himself completing the work that should be
done by the city s Public Works Department. This is an ongoing thing, when I ... Show more content

From clothes to small stools, old junk food bags and cartons, the dugout has become a decaying
dungeon. I think what the city needs to do, is knock down these dugouts and bury the ground. Put a
cement slab from the entrance of where the dugout begins to the other end, put up a chain link fence,
something we can lock to keep out the homeless, set up aluminum benches and get rid of the dugouts
because there isn t a drain system for them, Galvan said. As an advocate for nice parks in the
community, Galvan said he values how much people utilize the parks and thinks the recreation here, is
something to be proud of. If you ever come here sometimes on the weekends, this park is full, Galvan
said. People come here for birthday parties, with big jumpers and have cook outs. Blythe is a beautiful
place with nice people, but our parks have been neglected over the years. Favorable to the bathroom
remodeling coming soon at Todd Park, Galvan hopes the dugout will make its way on a list as an
improvement project. The dugouts are a concern for me. I just don t think they re healthy anymore,

The Council Of Jerusalem
The council of Jerusalem was a Christian Apostolic Age council that was held in Jerusalem and dated
to around the year 50 AD. It is considered to be one of the more important and special council among
the ancient pre ecumenical councils in that it is considered by Catholics and Orthodox to be a
blueprint or a stencil of the later Ecumenical Councils and a key part of Christian ethics. The council
decided that Gentile converts to Christianity were not obligated to keep most of the Law of Moses
including the rules concerning circumcision of males. The Council did, however, retain the
prohibitions on eating blood, meat containing blood, and meat of animals not properly slain, and on
fornication and idolatry, sometimes referred to as the Apostolic Decree or Jerusalem Quadrilateral.
This is a major stepping stone in the church because people are forever going to use this as a
blueprint/prototype for the councils that still have to come. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

He is generally considered one of the most important figures of the Apostolic Age. In the mid 30s to

Paul used his status as both a Jew and a Roman citizen to advantage because the roman citizens were

he directed to both Jewish and Roman audiences because he is the same as his audience and he is also

Emma Gonzalez Speech On School Shootings
Emma Gonzalez used to be a normal senior at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland,
Florida. However, after her 11 minute speech in Fort Lauderdale, she s quickly turned into one of the
great influential gun violence prevention activists of 2018. Her speech went viral in a short time and
now she has become a powerful individual at just 18 years old, who can catch the whole world s
attention and change the way influential figures talk about gun violence prevention.
There was a mass shooting at her school by a former student on Wednesday, February 14, 2018. The
guy fatally shot 17 of her peers and left many other injuries, making it one of the world s deadliest
school massacres. Gonzalez luckily survived the shooting. Now, she is just ... Show more content on

Not because we re going to be another statistic about the mass shooting in America, but because we
are going to be the last mass shooting. (Gonzalez)
Besides, another part that I like about the speech is when Gonzalez is not only furious at the shooter
but also all the people that live with him, see him express his homicidal tendencies but just ignore, or
who see him buy the guns, go outside, head to school and do nothing about this. The way she blames
all those people is seen as a rationalization. She gives out a clear explanation before justifying with
logical and plausible reasons.
She let people see how strongly and passionately she wants to end gun violence throughout the
speech. The crowd at the rally also totally supports all intense arguments that she made. They clap
their hands, repeat her words and shout out loud their agreement.
To summarize, after her viral rally, there is almost nothing that can catch the nation from paying
attention to the Parkland tragedy at this moment. Some celebrities and media outlets have amplified
her speech and that helps to raise the chances of prevention. She is determined never to lose
momentum in her fight for a stand against gun violence and stricter gun

Essay The Policies Of The Palestine Liberation Organisation
The Policies Of The Palestine Liberation Organisation
Before 1964, most Palestinians hoped that Arab states nearby would destroy the state of Israel.
Inspired by Nasser in Egypt, they expected him to lead an Arab army in a campaign to successfully
destroy Israeli power. However, time passed, and little progress was made, leading to many
Palestinians becoming disillusioned with the help they received from the Arab states that they were
relying on. Instead, they began to set up their own organisations, to defend Palestinian rights, and to
fight against the state of Israel. One of the first of these was called Fatah . Set up in 1959 by
Palestinian exiles in Kuwait, its leader was a young ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Palestine should be an Arab state. These views were stated in the Palestinian National Charter, a
document that set out the key principles of the PLO. It was originally written in 1964, but revised in
1968.
Yet Arafat had many problems. Fatah was the biggest group in the PLO, but there were many others as
well, meaning a very loose structure to the organisation. Many of these groups took a much harder line
than Fatah, and were based in Syria.
Another important policy was that the PLO insisted that Armed Struggle was the best way to liberate
Palestine. Arafat launched a guerrilla war on the Israelis, driven by the success of the Algerian
Nationalists in driving the French from Algeria. But in this case, the Israeli forces were too strong, and
the war failed. With this failure, the PLO decided to launch attacks on Israeli civilians, and civilian
targets, these acts condemned as terrorism. Mainly carried out by splinter groups of the PLO, the main
body did play a part in the attacks. In 1970, 3 airliners were hijacked, and destroyed in Jordan, gaining
massive publicity for the organisation. In 1972, Black September, a group in the PLO, was responsible
for the deaths of 11 Israeli athletes at the Munich Olympic games. 26 Israeli civilians were killed by
Japanese supporters of a group in the organisation at Lod airport, and in 1976, another

Racism isn t a subject that appears in every day conversations. Although most people try to ignore its
existence, it s quite obvious that it marked the lives of a lot of people and it has now become an
essential part of our history. As a student who has lived in the valley all her life, I ve been taught about
the hardships African Americans had to endure while obtaining their freedom, becoming eligible to
vote, being segregated, but never did I stop to think that the people who shared my culture and walked
the streets of the Valley and San Antonio were going through a similar experience. Throughout the
years it has become apparent that African Americans weren t the only people who had been

Relationships betwen Men and Women
Life is full of all different kinds of relationships, whether it is with co workers, peers or a significant
other. Building and maintaining these relationships is critical in living a fulfilling, happy life. While
there are many different kinds of relationships and they are all important, romantic relationships are
especially unique. Along with being unique, they can be difficult and take work and dedication by
both partners. The difficulties faced in these relationships can be attributed partially to the differences
between men and women. Theses differences range from mate selection to attachment styles to the
way in which problems are dealt with. First and foremost, differences between men and women can be
seen in the stages leading up to a romantic relationship. Each individual has certain characteristics that
they look for when searching for a partner. While the list is endless, there are some characteristics that
men weigh more heavily than women and also the other way around. In order to find what these
qualities are, a good source of information is data from speed dating. In a well known study conducted
at Columbia University by R. Fisman, S. Iyengar, E. Kamenica, and I. Simonson, participants were
given a card upon arrival to the speed dating site and they were to use the card to indicate whether or
not they would like to see each person they would speed date with. Along with having to answer yes
or no, they would also have to rate each partner they met on

True Hero Definition
What Defines a Hero?
Hercules says A true hero is not measured by the size of his strength, but by the strength of his heart
(Hercules online). This quote explains what the meaning of a true hero is and what it means to be one.
A true hero is helping someone without recognition and putting others before yourself. Both Lincoln
and Douglass struggled for freedom for others. In O Captain! My Captain! the text says ... People are
exulting... and Fallen cold and dead (Whitman 69). In this case, people are excited that Lincoln gets
back safe, but he lies there, dead, unable to hear to see or hear the sounds of celebration. Douglass was
openly against slavery and gives freedom to everyone. For instance, in Frederick Douglass the text
says This man shall be remembered (Hayden 70). Douglass will be ... Show more content on

Additionally, a hero is not a person who is not self confident and stands in the shadows. For instance,
in A Definition of a Gentleman , the text addresses that He is tender towards the bashful... and ...
Never wearisome (Newman 78 79). This quotes that just because someone says never , it s not in a
bad way. In addition, the author is saying that a hero is very kind to people and is never tired and
always ready to go. In this case, in Where I find my Heroes , the text tells us that Heroes are every
day, common people (Stone 63 64). This means that heroes are no different than any other human
being. The hero may do different things, but are the same person and do not change. Thus, heroes are
never perfect and go through some obstacles along the way. A hero can be anyone, but care about
others and do not always expect rewards for their accomplishments. There is a negation, function, and
example of being a hero that impacts the true definition of one. Therefore, the most important part of
being a hero is to enjoy yourself and to have fun during the journey even through durable

The Invisible Mother And Lennie Analysis
The Invisible Mother and Lennie
When a person thinks of a true motherly bond they most likely think of warmth, happiness, someone
safe, and reliable. In of Mice and Men, by John Steinbeck, Lennie has to live a life without his mother
and because of that it affects the rest of his life . Not having access to the sacred feeling of a mother s
love can alter anyone s life. That is why Lennie realizes he needs something to fill that hole in his
heart with something that at least resembles a mother s love. If that bond is taken away then a person
is left bare to the elements of the cold harsh world. There is something about soft creatures that gives
Lennie a sense of serenity and inner peace. The inner peace he gets is the reason why Lennie from Of
Mice and Men, by John Steinbeck, loves mice, puppies, rabbits, and anything soft because it
represents a true motherly love he never had. Mice in the novel has a deeper symbolic meaning than
just it being a petite pet. What Lennie loves about mice is their reliability and stability. These soft
natured mice are so easy to find for Lennie. Mice also have a motherly quality that Lennie never had.
A true mother is known for always being there no matter what. In the beginning of the book Lennie
and George are walking towards their new job, Lennie is holding a mouse but George catches him,
George says You gonna give me that mouse or do i have to sock you? ... Lennie reluctantly reached in
his pocket. I don t know why I can t keep it. It ain t nobody s mouse. I didn t steal it. I found it lyin
right beside the road (9). As long as Lennie is looking for mice then the mice are alway there for
Lennie. The only thing stopping him most of the time is George. That is why Lennie needs to sneak
around to get what he loves. Even though he loves the mice he is a danger to them. In a way when
Lennie is with the mice he feels like he has mother again but when a mouse bites him he goes back to
reality and kills it. When he kills the mice he feels remorse and then makes the desperate search to
find something to replace it. It s important because Lennie never had an accepting person s shoulder to
cry on. Even though Lennie has a mental handicap the need for reliability is evident.

The chapters introduce some of the effects hunger has on human physiology and behavior. I learned
the glimpse of disrespect, discords among the villagers, forceful recruits from the rebels, misbehavior

issues such as depression and PTSD as reflected in Ishmael, who felt these and expresses the feelings

Furthermore, I think I changed from the way I participated in the discourse to express more about how
I feel and how it has impacted me rather than expressing more on what happens to Ishmael in the

The Censorship Of Singapore ( Mda )
The practise of censorship the restriction of ideas, action or image through the control of the media or
any other medium of expression. Censorship should be practised sensibly so that it will not restrict the
development and expression of new ideas while ensuring that social and political harmony is assured.
Censorship plays a vital role in maintaining the morals of its society and creating an economically
dynamic, socially cohesive and culturally vibrant nation. (N.A, N.D) The press exert a significant
influence on the public and is partly responsible for the views and values that many hold. Hence, it
should be responsible with what it put forth to the public. Singapore has gradually moved from film
censorship to film classification and now to the focus on media literacy. Media Authority of Singapore
(MDA) plays a significant role in regulating and conducting matters pertaining to the media. It is
guided by legislation/acts such as Media Development Authority of Singapore Act, code of practice
and guideline to comply and enforce the entities. In this term paper, we will discuss how the media
handle censorship and classification related matters as well as reviewing the Films Appeal Committee
under the films act policy. In this regard, recommendations will also be given on how to improve the

Causes Of Rural Urban Divide Of China
Causes of Rural Urban Divide: Hukou China s rural urban gaps are much larger than those found in
most other developing countries. This rural urban divide can be traced back to before the first
economic reform. Beginning in the 1950s, China separated urban and rural residents through a strictly
enforced household registration system (hukou) and focused mainly on the development of urban
cities. Hukou refers to permanent residency status and can be extremely hard to get in major cities
since it is tie to benefit levels, which differ across provinces and between urban residents and rural
residents. An urban hukou provides a relatively comprehensive system of health care and retirement
pensions in that particular city, while a rural hukou a much lower standard of welfares. Furthermore,
data shows hukou also significantly affects people s labor market return and wages through its
influence on their return to education. Individuals human capital was largely determined by the place
(rural versus urban) where they were born and received their education, which highlights the role of
China s rural urban divide in shaping people s labor market return. From 1980 to 2010, China relied
on a uniquely successful investment and export led development model for its 30 year miracle of
double digit GDP growth. However, to make rapid industrialization possible, China directed most of
its investments to the cities, financed massive urban infrastructure and development projects. In result

With services however, you ll perform a task for your clients in exchange for money. So if you

there s no reason why your clients wouldn t feel compelled to compensate you generously, wouldn t
you agree?
Could this model be applied to other types of businesses? Give an example?
Personally, I wouldn t recommend it except for in service and non profit businesses. As already
discussed above, if you implement this model where products are involved, you run a serious risk of
going at a loss because if you do not regain your revenue, specifically the revenue that pays for the
production of the products. In a non profit setting however, once your profits are consistent with the
level of risks an organization is willing to take, then all is good. When it comes to service business,
then things get a little tricky because I don t see why any service business would want to settle for
satisfactory profits rather than maximize them, but, even if they don t maximize their profits because

Do you think this model can continue to work as our economy gets stronger (is it a model that can be
successful long term)?
Highly unlikely. I say this because since we are just recovering from a recession, most people s

Our Identity Changes According to Where We Are and Who We...
Our identity changes according to where we are and who we are with.
Outside influences have a strong capability to influence and alter our personal identity. Both directly
and indirectly, the social contexts in which we live can change the way we think and feel, and by
extension how we interact with other people and places. Immediate family, friendship groups and the
physical environment are all factors which contribute to our ever changing perceptions of ourselves.
Sometimes personal identity can be subtly reshaped over a gradual time frame, as our sense of who we
are is modified without personal recognition that we are changing. At other times we may be able to
notice our personal identity changing, through important life decisions. ... Show more content on

It is primarily our own decision to associate with a desired group of people. The way others see us, as
well as the way we see ourselves can change as a result. In the movie Witness, it is evident that Rachel
is quite fond of John Book. In the scene where she is dancing with him, a change in her identity
becomes apparent. She steers away from all past influences from her family and religion, and is driven
to act like John. She feels a need to relate to him, and is envious of his behaviour. Her behaviour then
reflects a woman who is not of Amish belief, much to the dismay of her father.
Where we are, in a general sense, refers to where we live. The aspects of where we are which relate to
personal identity involve how the society is run, and its physical features. Different societies have a
vast difference in laws, governments, religions, cultures and general ethics. These will then translate to
how the people who live there choose to behave. A strict society with harsh regulations and
punishments will cause people to be more reserved and controlled. A society with a high level of
violence and unethical behaviour will usually cause future generations to act similarly. The physical
features of a location can also influence behaviour and identity. For example, the residents of a society
on the beach will have certain typical and expected behaviour, which then translates to a particular
lifestyle.
Identity is able to be influenced and altered by where we

explanations for each part of each problem.
1. Ben is a second grader in your class. He shows weakness primarily in the area of phonics and word
attack. He displays incomplete strategies for breaking apart words and lacks fluency when reading.
The principal has called you into his office to discuss Ben s progress. The principal wants to know
what you are doing to help Ben. Answer the following questions: This is completely fictional. Write
this scenario as if Ben is your student. Go into as much detail as you can about Ben and his progress.
Is Ben in RtI? If so, what tier?
Ben is in RTI, and in tier two of the intervention program. He is mainly struggling with phonemic
awareness and this is impacting his ability to read fluently and break apart words. So we are focusing
on first improving his phonemic awareness, and then we will work on fluency.
What are you using to progress monitor?
Once a week, I take up Ben s center work once a week to progress monitor. I also do a running record

Characteristics Of Gymnastics
INTRODUCTION
Indeed, physical and fitness characteristics of elite athletes are different among various sports and
certain body types may be advantageous for championship performances (Arazi, Faraji, Mohammadi,
2011). Physical, physiological and psychological profiles have been developed by so many researchers
to describe the qualities and characteristics of elite athletes in their respective sports. Evidence
indicates that many factors as different physical, physiological and anthropometric factors might
influence the gymnast s performance (Cagnoa et al., 2009). Artistic gymnastics (AG) is a highly

description and analysis of top level athletes include the study of human size, shape, proportion,
composition, and gross motor function, which can be called anthropometry, is a reference in relating
sports performance and body structure (Bourgois et al., 2000). In fact, one of the most challenges
facing coaches and athletes is to understand the physical and physiological factors contributing to
success in competitions (Mirzaei et al., 2009). Gymnastics is a physically demanding sport requiring
well developed anaerobic qualities and the performances of most gymnasts correlate highly with their
body power, flexibility and balance (Bradshaw, 2010 and Arazi et.al, 2013). In addition, there is no
any single published information that characterizes the anthropometric and fitness profile (physical) of
Indian elite male as well as female gymnasts. Thus, in the current study, we tried to develop a profile
chart of physical characteristics which is associated with general and sports related motor ability of

The Disaster Of The Hurricane Katrina
The devastating Hurricane Katrina left Louisiana, and the rest of America, distraught. The mighty
category 5 hurricane left thousands of Louisiana residents without food, water and shelter. The
devastation of the storm led the levies of the flood protecting dam to break leaving the city underwater
during the catastrophe. This natural disaster will go down in American history as the worst of its kind.
Although all the unfortunate natural events that made this tragedy possible, the supervision of the
event was almost as bad as the hurricane itself. There are many fingers to point at the different people
handling the situation but one this is clear, it was not handled properly. The blame all fell on a select
few individuals ranging from The President of the United States of America to the Mayor of New
Orleans. Kathleen Blanco, a former schoolteacher and two term Lt. Governor of Louisiana, elected
governor in January 2004 and who was in charge of Louisiana s response when Hurricane Katrina
struck on Aug. 29, 2005. Ray Nagin, another official in the hot seat, was the elected mayor of New
Orleans in May 2002 and served as mayor during the disaster. Michael Brown, the former Federal
Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) director from 2003 2005, who was in charge when

Value of a Bachelors Degree
June 1, 2013 ENG 112 0011S Is a Bachelors Degree Only Worth the Prestige? Having a bachelor
degree was a way of showing how successful you have become in your life. The value of these
degrees has come into question recently. The value of a bachelor s degree has dropped significantly
over the years. We will look into why the value of the degree has depreciated over the years. For
starters, someone with a Bachelors degree could have expected to receive top priority when being
considered for a job position. Today, a bachelors degree might get your foot in the door for an
interview, but with so many competitors, landing the actual job might prove to be more difficult.

Perhaps worst of all, even those who do manage to graduate too, rarely end up in careers that require a
college education. Many college graduates are still unemployed because they have not been able to get
a job in their field or have took another job that has nothing to do what they went to school for.
(Nemko 561).The store clerk at your local grocery store could hold a Bachelor s in Science and is

require less than a four year degree (Adams). Students that are more likely to get a job out of college
are those that are in STEM (science, technology, engineering or math). These graduates have almost a
fifty percent more chance of landing a job that requires them to have a four year college degree than

companies are offshoring. Moving their companies overseas has saved them a lot of money because
production and labor is less expensive. Some of the business that has left some of their offices in the

Schlieffen Plan Strengths
Strength and Weaknesses of the Schlieffen Plan The First World War raged through the world from
1914 to 1918. Germany and Austria Hungary fought the allies consisting of Great Britain, France,
Italy, Japan, Russia, and the United States. The war led to massive destruction and many deaths on
both sides. All the European powers had to move millions of men so that they could be at their
positions and be ready for war. One of the most famous war plans in First World War was the
Schlieffen Plan. The plan was created by the chief of the German general staff Alfred von Schlieffen
from 1891 to 1905. The plan s main purpose was to avoid a two front war with France and Russia but
it had major issues. The plan took big risks and was very inflexible. The plan depended on that France
would be quickly beaten, and that Russia would be slow to mobilize and was therefore based on
assumptions. The Schlieffen Plan had strengths but the weaknesses were too big for the plan to be
successful. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This made them weaker both on both sides. Even though the attack on France almost succeeded the
Battle of Marne was lost and since this was a major part of the plan it contributed to the failure of the
plan. The plan could only continue and be successful if Germany had defeated France quickly instead
the war turned to trench warfare especially since the Schlieffen Plan was the only plan Germany had.
The Schlieffen Plan weaknesses were major in comparison to the strengths. Germany had to complete
the plan completely as it was planned. In order for it to be successful since their actions depended on
that certain things would happen. Therefore it only needed minor mistake to change the success of
Germany. Relying on assumptions as they did through the Schlieffen plan ended up having major
consequences for Germany and for the following course of First World

piece of entertainment, not something that is real as such. Another example can be observed in the

A parallel example in cinema can be found in Jean Luc Godard s Le Mepris (1963), which is a

By making small but significant changes to the conventions of cinema, the artificiality of the

Venture to Find Success
Nothing ventured nothing gained is one of the most famous lessons learned by many successful

history and one of the most important men of the 20th century, George C. Marshall was an
extraordinary visionary and ethical leader. In this paper I will first, cover how George Marshall used
his understanding of pressures for organizational change to transform the post WWI United States

George Marshall was an ethical leader through ethical behavior and how his fair mindedness helped
create and enact the Marshall Plan. Last, I will relate the principle of a visionary and ethical leader to
my personal relevance. George C. Marshall was a strategic visionary leader and an astute statesman.
When Marshall was appointed as the Chief of Staff of the Army in 1939 he knew that transforming the

Necklace Research Papers
Necklaces are a great way to accentuate your features and bring out the glow of your skin. Nowadays,
there are many kinds of necklaces you can choose from meaning that you may have a difficult time in
deciding what kind of necklace you like best. Necklaces can usually be differentiated according to
their lengths and widths. For example, the choker is the shortest necklace at fourteen to sixteen inches
long, it is followed by the princess necklace which is eighteen inches long. Meanwhile, still another
type of necklace is the matinee necklace which is at twenty two to twenty three inches long; this type
of necklace is usually above the cleavage area. The last type of necklace is the longest one, the opera
necklace; this type of necklace is below the cleavage and is placed at the breastbone.
Necklaces have been popular since ancient civilizations; you have probably already encountered the
image of Cleopatra, the Egyptian queen, wearing different kinds of jewelry. But in fact, necklaces
have been used even before that time because there are some discoveries that suggest that necklaces
were used even during the time when the Israelis evacuated Egypt. Also note that from the painting of

narrower span of control.
The span of control of The Trafford Centre is that the managers of the different functional areas have
authority over subordinates in an organisation like The Trafford Centre manager s span of control will
be larger because of the size of the business.
An example of a narrow span of control is shown in the diagram below:
The advantages of a narrow span of control are: o A narrow span of control allows a manager to
communicate quickly with the employees under them and control them more easily o Feedback of
ideas from the workers will be more effective o It requires a higher level of management skill to
control a greater number of employees, so there is less management skill required
An example of a wide span of control is shown in the diagram below:
The advantages of wide span of control are: o There are less layers of management to pass a message
through, so the message reaches more employees faster o It costs less money to run a wider span of
control because a business does not need to employ as many managers
The width of the span of control depends on:
The type of product being made products which are easy to make or deliver will need less supervision
and so can have a wider span of control
Skills of managers and workers a more skilful workforce can operate with a wider span of control

Comparison Of The Rule Of St. Benedict, And Oedipus At...
A lot can happen in what seems to be a small amount of time. When you think of a change you don t
really look at the small details of the lifestyle change. One great example of an early life can be seen
in Oedipus at Colonus, a play about a blind father that has fled from his country. The other work that
can be used to compare this with is The Rule of St. Benedict, which shows us the life of a monk.
When we compare these two works we will look at the differences in the human nature, who the
authority was and how it changed, what the consequences of disobeying the authority are, and who
enforces the rules
In the book Oedipus at Colonus, the view of human nature is that citizens live life as they are
prophesied by the oracles. The oracles are humans connection to the gods, so when the oracles tell a
person how to live their life, it s how it will be done. The oracles know what to say to the other people
because they are told directly by the gods. Since, their fate was determined by the gods, paying
homage to the gods was a importance of life. In the The Rule of St. Benedict, monks had to live their
life by the rules that were written by St. Benedict. When the monks were not working they had to give
their time to worshiping God. Other than following the rules monks also had to follow what the abbot.
The abbot must demonstrate God s instructions to the stubborn and the dull by a living example.

Problem Solving Instruction Questionnaire BFP2 Task 1 Bridget Clark August 21, 2016 A Written
Project Presented to the Faculty of the Teachers College of Western Governors University Introduction
Within mathematics instruction, strategies for solving basic operations are strong and systemic.
However, students in the intermediate grades struggle with finding and using reliable strategies for
solving word problems. The complexity of language that s used in a mathematical context makes it
difficult for students to have a confident approach. Therefore, research is being conducted on how
reading comprehension can be dove tailed with word problem solving in an elementary classroom.
The Problem Solving Instruction Questionnaire was designed to collect data from a range of teachers
to learn about math problem solving instruction in a variety of classrooms. This helped identify
effective approaches in teaching, to verify poor performance and lack of strategies with students, and
collect any other various input. The data would guide the mathematics intervention to be used and
planned. Research Topic A majority of current and incoming fourth grade students struggle with
solving word problems accurately. Students have difficulty with word problems mostly based on lack
of reliable strategies and poor language interpretation. While fact fluency may be present, the ability
to interpret vocabulary to guide computation leaves many students unable to construct

  • 3. Nt1310 Question Choice 1. Question Choice How did I choose this question? On the right is a mind map which I created in order to narrow down my topic and my question. I combined both of my mind maps into one to save space. My topic started with just the capability, ICT, particularly the Creating with ICT. From there, I narrowed it down to either a software or a hardware project, because they are the main sections within computers. From software I had the idea of either programing a game, programming a physics engine (program an object to respond realistically to physics within a digital environment), or to program procedural generation (digitally generating a random yet realistic landscape). From hardware I decided on either building a computer cluster (Several computers linked which can then work as one) or to build a computer. From both hardware and software, I had the idea to build my own gaming console with an Arduino (small programmable circuit board), or to program an operating system for a Raspberry Pi (a single circuit board computer). Each node is a desktop computer which will all be linked together, and then connected to one master computer. The master computer delegates tasks to different nodes, and then each node will send the data back to the master. This is the same process which computers currently use when they contain more than one processor, and is referred to as parallel processing. After the cluster has been built, the efficiency will be measured by measuring physical dimensions, processing power, and power consumption. This will then be compared to an average modern computer. Finally, an overview of the process will be written in the form of instructions for someone else to build a similar cluster, and the pros and cons of using a cluster, compared to other ... However, since most of my coworkers have similar interests we get along pretty well, and most of us were anticipating the release of SWO. Morning Nathan. Ready for what will probably be the longest Friday at the office in a while? As I walked into the office I was greeted by my coworker, Erik. He, like me, was clearly already mentally ready for the weekend and playing the game judging by the fact that the SWO website was up on his computer rather than any work. Luckily it was a holiday weekend, so the boss honestly wasn t expecting much from us today. Additionally, a lot of us had put in a few extra vacation days as well to get as much playtime in as possible. I actually had all of the next week off, since I had a lot of vacation time banked up and rarely actually use any of it. Hey Erik, let s grab some coffee and get this day over with. We chuckled and headed to the break room, mugs in hand. This was something like a morning ritual for us. We d go get some coffee, chat for a bit, then get to work. Today the chatting inevitably ended up on SWO. So, you gonna go random, or design your character? I ll most likely go random. It s worth it to try, after all. Reaching levels high enough to cover the 20 year old bench in the dugout that hasn t went through any remodeling or has seen much improvement, Galvan said renovations are past due . With local baseball and softball teams now conditioning, Galvan worries how teams will be accommodated once the spring season starts. When the water level rises, the city has to come by and pump it, Galvan said. I think what the city needs to do, is knock down these dugouts and bury the ground. Put a cement slab from the entrance of where the dugout begins to the other end, put up a chain link fence, something we can lock to keep out the homeless, set up aluminum benches and get rid of the dugouts because there isn t a drain system for them, Galvan said. As an advocate for nice parks in the community, Galvan said he values how much people utilize the parks and thinks the recreation here, is something to be proud of. If you ever come here sometimes on the weekends, this park is full, Galvan said. People come here for birthday parties, with big jumpers and have cook outs. Blythe is a beautiful place with nice people, but our parks have been neglected over the years. • 8. The Council Of Jerusalem The council of Jerusalem was a Christian Apostolic Age council that was held in Jerusalem and dated to around the year 50 AD. It is considered to be one of the more important and special council among the ancient pre ecumenical councils in that it is considered by Catholics and Orthodox to be a blueprint or a stencil of the later Ecumenical Councils and a key part of Christian ethics. The council decided that Gentile converts to Christianity were not obligated to keep most of the Law of Moses including the rules concerning circumcision of males. The Council did, however, retain the prohibitions on eating blood, meat containing blood, and meat of animals not properly slain, and on fornication and idolatry, sometimes referred to as the Apostolic Decree or Jerusalem Quadrilateral. This is a major stepping stone in the church because people are forever going to use this as a blueprint/prototype for the councils that still have to come. ... In the mid 30s to the mid 50s, he found many of the churches in Asia Minor and Europe that are still standing today. Paul used his status as both a Jew and a Roman citizen to advantage because the roman citizens were highly protected and if they were harmed then it is considered a huge act of crime. So in his ministry he directed to both Jewish and Roman audiences because he is the same as his audience and he is also an inspiration to people who believe in god. Her speech went viral in a short time and now she has become a powerful individual at just 18 years old, who can catch the whole world s attention and change the way influential figures talk about gun violence prevention. There was a mass shooting at her school by a former student on Wednesday, February 14, 2018. The way she blames all those people is seen as a rationalization. She gives out a clear explanation before justifying with logical and plausible reasons. She let people see how strongly and passionately she wants to end gun violence throughout the speech. The crowd at the rally also totally supports all intense arguments that she made. They clap their hands, repeat her words and shout out loud their agreement. To summarize, after her viral rally, there is almost nothing that can catch the nation from paying attention to the Parkland tragedy at this moment. However, time passed, and little progress was made, leading to many Palestinians becoming disillusioned with the help they received from the Arab states that they were relying on. These views were stated in the Palestinian National Charter, a document that set out the key principles of the PLO. It was originally written in 1964, but revised in 1968. Yet Arafat had many problems. Fatah was the biggest group in the PLO, but there were many others as well, meaning a very loose structure to the organisation. Many of these groups took a much harder line than Fatah, and were based in Syria. Another important policy was that the PLO insisted that Armed Struggle was the best way to liberate Palestine. Arafat launched a guerrilla war on the Israelis, driven by the success of the Algerian Nationalists in driving the French from Algeria. But in this case, the Israeli forces were too strong, and the war failed. With this failure, the PLO decided to launch attacks on Israeli civilians, and civilian targets, these acts condemned as terrorism. Mainly carried out by splinter groups of the PLO, the main body did play a part in the attacks. In of Mice and Men, by John Steinbeck, Lennie has to live a life without his mother and because of that it affects the rest of his life . Not having access to the sacred feeling of a mother s love can alter anyone s life. If that bond is taken away then a person is left bare to the elements of the cold harsh world. There is something about soft creatures that gives Lennie a sense of serenity and inner peace. The inner peace he gets is the reason why Lennie from Of Mice and Men, by John Steinbeck, loves mice, puppies, rabbits, and anything soft because it represents a true motherly love he never had. This rural urban divide can be traced back to before the first economic reform. • 40. Comparison Of The Rule Of St. Benedict, And Oedipus At... A lot can happen in what seems to be a small amount of time. When you think of a change you don t really look at the small details of the lifestyle change. One great example of an early life can be seen in Oedipus at Colonus, a play about a blind father that has fled from his country. The other work that can be used to compare this with is The Rule of St. Benedict, which shows us the life of a monk. When we compare these two works we will look at the differences in the human nature, who the authority was and how it changed, what the consequences of disobeying the authority are, and who enforces the rules In the book Oedipus at Colonus, the view of human nature is that citizens live life as they are prophesied by the oracles. The oracles are humans connection to the gods, so when the oracles tell a person how to live their life, it s how it will be done. The oracles know what to say to the other people because they are told directly by the gods. Since, their fate was determined by the gods, paying homage to the gods was a importance of life. In the The Rule of St. Benedict, monks had to live their life by the rules that were written by St. Benedict. When the monks were not working they had to give their time to worshiping God. Other than following the rules monks also had to follow what the abbot. The abbot must demonstrate God s instructions to the stubborn and the dull by a living example. Problem Solving Instruction Questionnaire BFP2 Task 1 Bridget Clark August 21, 2016 A Written Project Presented to the Faculty of the Teachers College of Western Governors University Introduction Within mathematics instruction, strategies for solving basic operations are strong and systemic. However, students in the intermediate grades struggle with finding and using reliable strategies for solving word problems. The complexity of language that s used in a mathematical context makes it difficult for students to have a confident approach. Therefore, research is being conducted on how reading comprehension can be dove tailed with word problem solving in an elementary classroom. The Problem Solving Instruction Questionnaire was designed to collect data from a range of teachers to learn about math problem solving instruction in a variety of classrooms. This helped identify effective approaches in teaching, to verify poor performance and lack of strategies with students, and collect any other various input. The data would guide the mathematics intervention to be used and planned. Research Topic A majority of current and incoming fourth grade students struggle with solving word problems accurately. Students have difficulty with word problems mostly based on lack of reliable strategies and poor language interpretation. While fact fluency may be present, the ability to interpret vocabulary to guide computation leaves many students unable to construct ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
