Why Is Mahatma Gandhi Unjustified
You must be the change you wish to see in the world Mahatma Gandhi (source from Mahatma
Gandhi Quotes. ). Many assassinations occur due to political, religious, and cultural reasons.
Some assassinations occur without explanation, or with explanations that sound illogical or
ridiculous. On January 30, 1948, Mahatma Gandhi was shot three times by his assassin,
Nathuram Godse. Gandhi was a man who only wanted what was best for his fellow Indians, and
his love for his country and its people were what motivated him to do what he did. He was the
leading figure responsible for India achieving independence, and he wanted to see a free and
united country. Some may argue that he was not a good politician however, having to put
politics within every view can sometimes be too much, which can cause arguments, leading to
chaos. The first reason why Gandhi s death was unjustified was because Gandhi wanted only
what was best for for his fellow Indians, and his love for his country and its people were what
motivated him to do what he did. An example of him wanting what was best for his fellow
Indians is Gandhi leading several campaigns in which he intended to make public of what
unfortunate situation Indians were in inside their Country. This include the protest against the
South African government s refusal to allow for Indians to vote. He was significant to the the
founding of the Natal Indian Congress in 1894. This is an organization that became center in
1894 and helped political resistance develop over a seven year period which began in 1906 (All
stated in the article, Great Soul: Mahatma Gandhi and His Struggle with India. ). Another example
was that in future years, is in 1913, Gandhi negotiated with colonial laborers with Jan Smuts.
Smuts was an Afrikaner (Afrikaans speaking person in South Africa, especially one descended
from the Dutch and Huguenot settlers of the 17th century) and a racist who later became colonial
secretary after the Boer War. The final decision between the two managed to gain Indians rights by
a little (All stated in the article, The Problem with Purity. ) The second reason why Gandhi s death
was unjustified because he was the leading figure responsible for gaining India s

Theory Of Games And Economic Behavior
Abstract
In the year 1944, with John Von Neumann and Oskar Morgenstern publishing their paper on Theory
of Games and Economic Behavior, foundations of Game Theory was laid. This paper is an attempt
at condensing the fundamentals required to help decision making at early stages of Project
Procurement. With the advent in implementation of Game Theory in real world, new theories have
emerged with Game Theory as their stepping stone. Simple yet important concept such as Nash
Equilibrium, Payoffs will be discussed to give the reader and idea they can improve and customize
upon according to their scenario. One strong recommended reading is a great introductory book on
the topic, Game Theory: A ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It is important that we understand why its creator felt this way, according to them the reason for
this is simply that economics is far too difficult a science to permit its construction rapidly,
especially in view of the very limited knowledge and imperfect description of the facts with which
economists are dealing. Only those who fail to appreciate this condition are likely to attempt the
construction of universal systems.
The Game doesn t always equate to the procedure that results in winning or loosing (which can be
the case many a times). Here the connotation is merely utilized to provide a sense of structure
involving strategies and plans to the whole process. As seen in a general Game, there are players
and payoffs. Players have their strategies for particular situations, which may or may not depend on
the other players moves. One interesting nature of game theory is seen when deciding moves using
predefined strategies; our moves can be independent of those of the opponent s, however, results
occurring due to the combination moves are totally interdependent. This can be confusing but with
understanding this underlining concept of game theory comes into light easily. This phenomenon
is known as Strategic Interdependency. Simply described as: What I do affect your outcome, what
you do affects my outcome.
To understand such subtle complexities, one must be familiar with the knowledge required about

A Brief Note On Diabetes Mellitus And Mellitus
Diabetes mellitus is usually a lifelong metabolic disorder characterized by hyperglycemia or high
sugar levels in the blood; can be caused by lack of insulin, insulin resistance, or both. Insulin is a
hormone produced by the pancreas to regulate blood sugar. It controls the metabolism of
carbohydrates and fats that the body used for energy. Without insulin, glucose (sugar) in the blood
builds up causing hyperglycemia. There are 3 classic symptoms of diabetes; the 3 Ps: polyuria
which defines as frequent and excessive urination, polydipsia which defines as excessive thirst, and
polyphagia which defines as excessive eating.
There are two main types of diabetes mellitus: type 1 diabetes mellitus also known as insulin

It is more often develops in winter than summer time and more common in places with cold
weathers. Typical onset is before the age of 30. Many major organs in the body can also be
affected by type 1 diabetes including the heart, blood vessels, nerves, eyes and kidneys. Related
problems include slow wound healing, vaginal infections (vulvar itching), neuropathy,
gastroparesis (delayed stomach emptying), visual and hearing problems, heart disease, blood
vessel disease (foot ulcers), kidney problems (may result in dialysis). Risk factors may
predispose an individual to the occurrence of this type of diabetes such as genetics, exposure to
toxins and certain viruses such as the Epstein Barr virus, Coxsackie virus, mumps virus and
cytomegalovirus which destroys the beta cells of the islets of Langerhans in the pancreas. Type 1
diabetes signs and symptoms can come rapidly and may include the classic 3 Ps; polyuria,
polydipsia, and polyphagia, bedwetting in children who previously didn t wet the bed during the
night, weight loss, muscle wasting, irritability and other mood changes, fatigue and weakness,
blurred vision, vaginal yeast infection, and ketonuria or ketones (acid) in urine; high ketone levels
can lead to diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA). Treatment for type 1 diabetes is a lifelong commitment to
taking insulin, exercising regularly and maintaining a healthy

Pregnancy Prevention Essay
Pregnancy Prevention Introduction: Pregnancy is not always a planned or wanted event in
peoples lives, and so we have man made ways to prevent pregnancy from happening. Everyone
has the freedom of choice, both male and female, so therefore there are both male and female
methods of contraception. There is an expansive range of contraception methods world wide, and
they can be as extreme as being operated on, such as having a tubal ligation or a vasectomy. The
more minor options are using condoms or taking a type of contraceptive pill. In this essay I will
also talk about the different factors which effect the way people feel about contraception, as many
people have beliefs which may not... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
For example, the World Health Organization (WHO) describes EC as a contraceptive method used
by women in the first few days following unprotected intercourse to prevent unwanted pregnancy.
Some conservative political and religious organizations seek to limit women s reproductive choices
by an inaccurately characterizing EC as abortion, when in fact; the WHO considers it a safe
contraceptive. Respect for women s rights to reproduce self determination also requires
governments to ensure that women give their full, informed consent before receiving a
contraceptive method. Government policies that disregard a women s own wishes in order to meet
demographic goals put women in danger of coercive and violent practices. Subjecting women to
surgical sterilization or administering contraceptive injections or implants without her informed
consent, for example, violates women s fundamental reproductive rights. Consistent and correct use
of modern methods of contraception can prevent many unwanted pregnancies. In order to meet
their international commitments, governments must improve access for men, women, and
adolescents to high quality family planning information and services that offer a range of freely
chosen contraceptive methods. Methods of contraception: Male methods: Male methods could

Cultural Narratives Influence On Society
In the short amount of time that humanity has inhabited this planet, we have managed to leave a
bigger imprint than any other species. The human population is well over 7 billion individuals and
the presence of humanity is extended to all four corners of the globe. As a result of the large
population, intellectual superiority, and the wide range of human existence, humanity has naturally
transformed into a diverse populace. Consequently, cultural narratives are prominent in our daily
lives and play a role in shaping our social interactions, opinions, and lifestyles. The influence of
cultural narratives have only expanded with the growth in technology. Technology provides a
platform for individuals to be connected with regions on the opposite side of the globe within
seconds. This advancement has led to the widespread dispersion of cultural traditions and
tendencies. This is evident in the news, social media, and other media platforms. Different cultures
have developed different beliefs about what norms are and abide by those beliefs. If someone falls
out of the lines of normality, most people immediately formulate an ethnocentric mindset and begin
to create opinions that that person s cultureis inferior to their own.
My family and I are especially aware of the degree of influence that cultural narratives have on
society. The reason why cultural narratives have such a considerable influence in our daily lives is
due to the fact that we originate from a Muslim background.

The Attachment, Self Regulation, And Competency
The Attachment, Self Regulation, and Competency (ARC) Framework is a theoretically grounded,
evidence informed, promising practice used to treat complex trauma in children and adolescents
(Arvidson, 2011). This research shows how the application of the ARC model benefits inner city
youth who have been diagnosed with Oppositional Defiant Disorder. The goal of this research is to
demonstrate that symptoms of ODD can be decreased by exposing inner city youth to ARC
therapy over a period of time. The target population is inner city youth in Chattanooga, TN who
are diagnosed with Oppositional Defiant Disorder. 50 students were chosen at random at inner
city schools in the area. 25 of the youth will be exposed to the therapy, while 25 will not be
exposed and serve as the control group. The 25 students will be exposed to ARC therapy over a
span of 6 months. After the 6 month period, the behaviors will be rated again and compared to the
control group that received no treatment. Complex trauma results from exposure to severe stressors
that occur within the caregiver system or with another presumably responsible adult, are repetitive,
and begin in childhood or adolescence. As a result, many of these children and adolescents
experience lifelong difficulties related to self regulation, relationships, psychological symptoms,
alterations in attention and consciousness, self injury, identity, and cognitive distortions (Lawson,
2013). Exposure to ARC therapy over a given time will lead to

Personal Communication Assessment
Communication is something that all beings use, whether it be animals or humans. It is the process
by which we use signs, symbols, and behaviors to exchange information and create meaning
(Floyd, 2011). Communication styles vary by different people, but it can be summed up the way
we interact with others and how one is perceived and how we perceive ourselves. Communication
apprehension is the level of fear that a person has of speaking. To test this, the Personal Report of
Communication Apprehension was used to measure my level of apprehension. Throughout this
assessment, I will self reflect on my strengths and areas I can use improvement on.

The Effects Of Corporal Punishment On The Parent Child...
THE INFLUENCE OF CORPORAL PUNISHMENT ON THE PARENT CHILD RELATIONSHIP.
There are many different ways of disciplining a child. Corporal punishment is one of the main ones.
The term corporal punishment means the intentional infliction of pain on the body for purposes of
punishment and includes slapping, hitting with objects, pinching, shaking and forcing to stand for
long periods of time. Family researchers define corporal punishment as the use of physical force
aimed at causing children to experience pain but not injury, for the purposes of correction and
control of youthful behavior (Murry). This essay is going to talk about how corporal punishment

Corporal punishment of children is becoming a worldwide topic of discussion. Policies have been
developed in 53 countries prohibiting corporal punishment in all aspects; unfortunately, the United
States is not included in this count (Global Initiative to End All Corporal Punishment of Children).
Unfortualy in the united states Prohibition is still to be achieved in homes, some alternative care,
some daycare, some schools and some penal institutions. State laws confirm the right of parents to
inflict physical punishment on their children and legal provisions against violence and abuse are
not interpreted as prohibiting all corporal punishment in childrearing. The near universal acceptance
of corporal punishment in disciplining children necessitates a clear statement in law that all
corporal punishment, however light, is prohibited and the repeal of all legal defenses for its use
(Global Initiative to End All Corporal Punishment of Children) The number of countries prohibiting
corporal punishment continues to rise, as well as the amount of research looking at the effects of
corporal punishment. Corporal punishment has been shown to have adverse effects on children in
many ways including increased anxiety, depression, low self esteem, and antisocial behavior. The
main concern with the attachment theory is that using physical punishment can have

Artemisia Gentileschi, Venus and Cupid, ca. 1625 30. Oil on canvas, 38 x 56 5/6 inches. Virginia
Museum of Fine Arts, Richmond, VA.
Artemisia Gentileschi s Venus and Cupid is a painting of an angel caressing a woman resting on the
bed. In actuality, the painting is about Venus, the Goddess of Love, who is asleep in a very
luxurious and classical environment. While she is asleep, Cupid diligently wields a peacock
feathered fan to keep away pests, which makes the environment more safe and peaceful. Primarily
strong contrasting lights and darkness display Gentileschi s work, perhaps inspired by both her

Knowing this little fact makes the painting even more understandable. It allows the viewer to
visualize the relationship between mother and son. Gentileschi may have wanted to send the
message of love between mother and son through this painting. Another way to look at it is if you
look at her other paintings Gentileschi revolved her paintings around subject matters of women
who were known for their courage, beauty and simplicity. Her paintings mostly consisted of women
being dramatically nude in which it showed her style, which is dramatic realism. Therefore there
are many ways to interpret the painting Venus and Cupid by Artemisia Gentileschi, it s just the
matter of how you see it.

Northwood Idea
The Northwood Idea Project
Is the Northwood Idea relevant today? By now you all have read and formulated an opinion upon
the relevance of the Northwood idea. Some of you may agree totally, while others may completely
disagree. At the core of the Northwood Idea is the notion of developing the character of the student
and learning how to serve others (Watts, 2014). As students, our character is developed by
subscribing to the Judeo Christian ethic by means of following the golden rule, emphasizing work
and thrift, and understanding the importance of business.

In India 72% South Korea 78%, and in Vietnam it was a staggering 95%. What I find interesting is
that the average Chinese citizen believes in a free market economy. I find that interesting because
of the countries deep ties to socialism and communism. Maybe you could say that those surveyed
were simply uneducated to the issue or you could say that they are not happy in the system that
they are currently living in. Where did Americans fall? 70% believed that the free market is the
preferred method. I know statistics can be skewed anyway you want, but I believe that this is a
realistic statistic. We always hear that America is the land of opportunity so the perception of the
free market, at least on the surface, is a positive one.
Having said all that is the Northwood Idea relevant today? Yes, in the sense that our founding
fathers set forth the path that is still in practice today. America was founded upon the Judeo
Christian ideas that sprang forward our current way of doing business. However, the only way
that the Northwood Idea will remain relevant is if Americans will agree to use all three in
harmony. Unfortunately, humans are imperfect and if you only looked at the free market and
decided to discount the golden rule and/or work and thrift you will surely develop a lopsided skew
of the true definitions of the free market. By utilizing and understanding how Judeo Christian

With P G being present in 180 countries there seems to be no real barrier to entry that can t be
overcome. They have some competition from other companies that offer dishwashing detergents
which can be seen as a threat of substitute products. There is definitely a presence of rivalry from
other competitors including the store name brand detergents that are shelved next to P G s product.
Industry Cost Structure
The cost structure is different in each market and country. It is based off of the economy in a
certain market so that it s affordable and economical to the consumers there. Cost structure must be
carefully studied so that the product doesn t fail and remain on the shelf while others priced more
reasonably sell.
Distribution Channels P G has several distribution channels that help them to get their product out
to the consumers. There are stores like Wal Mart, Target, Dollar General, and a number of grocery
stores that sell the products. You can even purchase the product online from a number of retailers.
Market Trends
P G must keep up with any changes that occur in their target market. This can pose either threats or
opportunities depending on the change that occurs. They need to be cautious of price sensitivity
and whether there is a new demand for variety. Also there can be changes that are regional that they
need to keep an eye out for.

Gender Schema Theory
My first research showcase presentation was Gender Differences in Physical Activity Levels and
presenters were Petrona Gregoria, Britanny Whetsel, Dora Pena, Cassidy Heidt. Their hypothesis
was boys would have higher level of physical activities than girls. They came up with this
hypothesis because obesity level in the U.S. is increasingly among young children. The Gender
Schema Theory suggests a view of how each gender should act, what is expected and accepted of
their gender. Researchers observed the children and after they observed them, they did an

Essay on The Rulers and the Ruled in High School
If movie tropes and idioms are to be believed, there is a clear distinction between who is the
ruling majority and the ruled minority. Every high school movie that ever was invariably
depicted academia as a maze of cliques and clichГ©s. The high school experience was
characterized not by what you achieved, but who you hung out with. The jocks, cheerleaders,
bands and an assorted team of people blessed with good looks were cool and the rest were not .
The masses were ostensibly ruled over by the much smaller popular gang; the unpopular masses
criticized and berated the repulsive mediocrity and social stagnation of the usually wealthy and/or
beautiful minority, while the popular showed only disdain for the seemingly clueless... Show more

Everyone around them was dissenting and rebelling . But all these rebels has squeezed themselves
in a conformist bandwagon; opposition for the sake of opposition. The sixties paid lip service to the
ideals of non conforming while still being entrenched in the mainstream, thereby killing the
fundamental ideals of individualism However, those beliefs have not become extinct, they have
merely been shrouded in a blanket of confusion and false similarities.
If all non conformists are in fact conformists, then has society lost hope? Not at all. The individual,
though rarely found in his true sense, still exists; but in alarmingly marginalized numbers. The real
sorrow is the true individual, while not lost to memory will never be hailed for the hero he truly is.
This ideal of rebellion, the in individual, do not fashion themselves to fit any certain mold, but
rather hold values that they personally agree with. Unfortunately for the masses, the individual
cannot be pinpointed in a crowd. These individuals can be found manning the tills at McDonalds or
as high flying executives at law firms. They can be doctors without borders or decorated heroes.
Capitalist, democratic, authoritarian, anarchist, Christian, Muslim, Jewish, individuals are found in
all shapes and sizes. Thy can even align themselves to merge with the masses; providing they think

Same Kind Of Different As Me Analysis
Denver Moore and Ron Hall, both the authors and the main characters of this novel, provided a
delightfully captivating story about how the two became one through the help of Hall s wife,
Deborah, also known as Miss Debbie. Coming from completely different lifestyles, Denver Hall
grew up a slave in Louisiana. On the opposite end of society, there s Ron Hall, the rich,
successful art dealer. Their worlds collided when Miss Debbie convinced her husband Ron to
help out at one of the missions for the homeless she was involved in. There, he met Denver, and
with the help of God, their lives were unexpectedly changed for the better. Same Kind of Different

which emphasizes that people aren t always who they appear to be, and for that, one should never

Essay Salvador Dali, the Painter
Salvador Dali, the Painter 1904 1989
Salvador Dali was born on May 11, 1904 in Figueras, northern Catalonia, Spain. His father,
Salvador Dali y Cusi, a state notary, was a dictatorial and passionate man. He was also fairly
liberal minded, due to a short but intense period of renaissance, and he accepted his son s
occupation as a painter without much resistance to the idea.
Salvador Dali exhibited many signs of marginality throughout his early years. Once Dali decided
to become a painter, he concentrated fully on the intricicacies involved in the art. Dali was also a
very temperamental and difficult child, who expected and received the fulfillment of his whims by
his parents. When he attended school in Figuras starting at the age of ... Show more content on

Dali also began using different styles and mastered many techniques. For a brief period in 1920,
after the death of Dali s mother, his works became gray and muted, full of sadness. Both these
early paintings and those that follow all have strong links to Dali s Catalonian ancestry. Dali
strongly loved the area of his youth, and most of his works reflect his sentiments.
In 1920 Salvador Dali was sent to the San Fernando Academy of Fine Arts in Madrid so that he
could receive a diploma as professor of drawing. Dali soon came under the influence of such
people and movements as Juan Gris, Seurat, Carlo Carra, the Italian Metaphysical School, and
Picasso s Cubism. Dali began experimenting with Cubist painting using only the colors black,
white, sienna red, and olive green. Salvador Dali also associated with other students in the
Residence, a dormitory, forming a friendship with Garcia Lorca, among others. In 1923 Dali was
suspended from the Academy for a year because he was suspected to have started a riot against the
Academy board s choice for a professorship. Dali was further arrested and imprisoned in 1923 in
Gerona because of political reasons. The government thought he was allies with the Catalonian
separatist movement, yet Dali had always been apolitical throughout his entire life. Dali returned to
the San Fernando Academy in 1925, but he was permanently expelled in 1926.

Cardiovascular System And Aorta Lab Report
Introduction of Cardiovascular System and Aorta
Cardiovascular or circulation system is responsible transportation of hormones, supplying nutrients
and oxygen demands of tissues and also waste removal (8). Pulmonary circulation replenishes blood
with oxygen and eliminates carbon dioxide within lungs, and systemic circulation delivers blood to
all other parts of the body. All systemic circulation begins via aorta, the first blood vesselof the
systemic circulation and the largest artery of the body. All arteries are exposed to high blood
pressure or stress to vessels, and the aorta, being the initial point for entire circulatory pressure
gradient, has the highest intravascular pressure. Therefore, the aortic wall is designed to resist high

Outward remodeling is initiated with increased shear stress caused by high flow. The shear
stress signals endothelial cell proliferation and production of nitric oxide by endothelial cells
(17, 20). Nitric oxide induces metalloproteinases, degradation of extracellular matrix, inhibit
proliferation of smooth muscle cells and promote apoptosis of smooth muscle cells (20).
Normal endothelium is resistant to adhesion by monocytes; however, when exposed to shear
stress, monocytes can attach to endothelium (10). The recruited monocytes or macrophages, the
mature form of monocytes, also play a key role in remodeling by producing matrix
metalloproteinases (MMPs) among other tissues that produce MMPs (10, 20). At least 13
different MMPs have been identified and MMP 2 and MMP 9 are noted to cleave elastin (1). The
matrix proteolytic activity or the breakdown of extracellular matrix is necessary as it provides
additional space for enlarging vessel (20) and also fragments of elastin allows for smooth muscle
proliferation (10). The outward remodeling is reversible if the shear stress is decreased for a
prolonged period

The Black Ham And The Redemption Plan
THE BLACK HAM IN THE REDEMPTION PLAN
The black people of Ham have being chosen as God s vessels to bring hope to the hopeless world
right from the beginning of creation. The offspring s of the four sons of Ham, has played very
important roles throughout human history. Before the existence of humanity, God had chosen the
land of Ham as an important place to fulfil His redemptive plans. The chosen people of Israel was
born in the land of Canaan and Egypt and called out from the land of Africa Egypt, after they have
become great, mighty, and populous nation (Deuteronomy 26:5; Ezekiel 16:1 3, 45; Hosea 11:1).
When the children of Israel left the land of Egypt, they inherited the land of Canaan the younger
brother of Egypt (1 Chronicles16:16 20). Thousands of years later, Jesus was born in Bethlehem of
Judaea in the land of Canaan (Micah 5:2; Matthew 2:1). When He was about to be assassinated
as a child, He was then protected and sheltered in Africa Egypt, the land of the elder brother of
Canaan. Later Jesus was called out from Africa Egypt, to be the savior of the world (Matthew
2:13 15). Not only was Jesus born in the land of Canaan, during His life time, He had only lived
in the land of Egypt as a child and spent all His natural life in the land of Canaan the brother of
Egypt and Ethiopia throughout His adulthood (Genesis 10:6). The Bible never told us that Jesus
have lived, gone or visited anywhere else other than these two Hamitic nations.

It s clear that background load has a significant impact on link throughput and utilization. The
simulation without background loading remains steady and relatively flat with throughput at
roughly 2Kbps and link utilization at under 5%. When background load is added, we see a marked
upward trend in utilization and throughput early in the simulation that keeps with our scheme of
incrementally ramping up background load from 19,200 to 32,000 during the first 8 minutes,
followed by a less pronounced continued upward trend over the remainder of the simulation. Link
throughput begins to stabilize at just over 30kbps late in the simulation, while link utilization
approaches 50%. Interestingly, we see a sharp drop in email download response time during the first
seconds of both scenarios even as background load is ramping up at the same time. However, both
scenarios flatten out to a more consistent level as the simulation

Both hedge funds and index funds stem from the idea of an independent mutual fund, but their
potential to succeed is dependent upon the economy performing well. The success of all
investments, whether a bull or bear market, are significantly driven by the performance of the
overall economy. Economics explains how people interact within markets to gain what they want or
to accomplish their goals. The market usually either has falling prices, which means a bear market
and when flourishing this is referred to as the bull market. The United States is a market economy,
which means the financial decisions and the pricing of goods and services are guided primarily by
the aggregate interactions of a country s citizens and businesses. In other words, market economies

Get Paid For Grades
Title of Your Report
Should students be paid for receiving good grades? Yes students should get paid for having good
grades. Many students don t really care about their grades because they don t get a reward. Many
teens don t do nothing to fix their grades they only fix it when they are on a sport. If parents would
reward them for having good grades students would have A and B. Students should get paid
because it teaches to be responsible with money, it can also motivate them, and it can help them in
the future.
To begin, Students could be responsible with things if they could see how hard it is to earn what
they want. Money teaches teens to save and only buy what they need not what they want. Most
parents reward students with money because students want to buy lunch because they don t like
school lunches. Teens are spending most of their money on food. Rewarding students makes them
feel to try harder and harder each time.
Another reason, Parents can motivate students by paying them for having excellent grades and
excellent behavior. Well you might be asking yourself how does money benefit students? Well it
motivate teens to maintain high grades. And it can actually help them in the future for example for
college. Another question you might have is how much should i paid my student? Well most parents

Comparing Genesis Creation And The Norse Culture
Although a lot of other cosmogonic myths have presented creations as part of a natural process that
has the clear understanding that it is an act of divine and creative will. We all know there are
several creation myths across different cultures. It is known that every different culture even has its
unique creation myththat also explains how life and world came to be (Leonard McClure, 2004).
The two myths I would talk about when it comes to this topic are Genesis creation (Hebrew origin)
of the Christian culture, and the Norse culture of Iceland (the Vikings). From the readings of both,
both myths also start with an emptiness where conflict and chaos may even eventually develop.

There was a misleading image of the Vikings that made them be known as pagans with a hatred

major Gods. Their appreciation is the cosmos is divided into three main levels which are,

Criticism Of Medea
I cannot find one reason for divorcing theatrics from history why must history wear such a dry
cloak of dullness? I love theatre and you see its profound effects in my writing especially tragedy.
History is dramatized through speeches and conversations among the characters I portray, so much
that people have coined the term tragic history to encapsulate my works, in which I proudly claim
ownership.
Euripedes has been thought to be a mediocre playwright but nonetheless determinedly produces
more plays. I have long admired his tenacity in being an innovator amidst a scene that constantly
subjects him to ridicule. With my status as a tragic historian as some may put it, I am in an
informed position to critique this play. My belief is that people accord him with less recognition
than he actually deserves, and I genuinely appreciate the ingenious tragic elements he incorporates
to distinguish Medea from other mainstream tragedies.
As a historian and a Greek citizen, nomos is a concept close to my heart. Before the play, Medea
was portrayed as a ruthless witch renowned for her sorcery and deception. Even though she ... Show

At days end on November 18, 1976, Jonestown was left lifeless. Jones watched as all of his
followers (forced or under free will) drink the poisoned Kool Aid as he commanded. Yet he did
not receive the same way out, he was too cowardly and proud to take his own life, Jones was
killed by one of his followers with a single gunshot to the back of the head (Jim Jones 2014). He
died that day with his followers, with no punishment. The families of members of the cult will
never have closure, no justice for those who had been killed. The biggest misconception about
Jonestown is that it was a mass suicide, when in reality it was a mass murder, said a reporter that
survived the shooting. Reverend Jim Jones had no punishment, he instead had himself killed.
One thousand members were held imprisoned, 913 people killed, 270 of which are innocent
children (Jim Jones Bio). Jim Jones was never punished for his crime, not to say he did not
deserve to die, but Jones was never caught. With only a gunshot wound to the head, Jones died
with his followers that day because it was his choice to die( Jonestown: Nightmare in Paradise).
No doubt Jim Jones has a special place in hell for his crimes against humanity, he should have to

The Pros And Cons Of Pioneer Generation Package
In 2014, the Singapore news released a statement regarding the pioneer generation package in
line with Singapore turning 50 in 2015. Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong announced that about
450,000 seniors from the Pioneer Generation will receive a Pioneer Generation Package (PGP)
focused on healthcare. This Package will ensure lifelong benefits that cover different types of
healthcare needs and also other extra subsidies. The purpose of this paper is to provide insights
to the advantages and disadvantages of the PGP as well as comparing PGP with other healthcare
services. This paper will cover the pros and cons of the PGP, comparing with other Singapore
healthcare schemes and also the healthcare measures taken in Britain. Firstly, the advantages are
that they will receive more subsidies such as receiving more benefits of MediShield Life but
paying less premiums than they do for their MediShield. Also extra subsidies will be given at
specialist outpatient clinics (SOCs), polyclinics, and General Practitioner (GP) clinics under the
Community Health Assist Scheme (CHAS), on top of other subsidies which all of citizens are...

It is used by a minority of the population and has both advantages and disadvantages. Private
healthcare is seen as a basic right of those who choose to use it. It reduces pressure on the NHS
and allows medical staff an opportunity to improve their incomes. Big companies and their
employees find it convenient as it enables them to arrange treatments at times that do not
interfere with their work schedules. But private healthcare is criticised as it allows people with
higher incomes to gain access to treatment ahead of those who are unable to afford it. It is also
seen as taking resources away from the NHS. For example, staff who are trained by NHS may go
on to treat patients in private healthcare with a profit

F. Scott Fitzgerald
I am a professed literary thief, hot after the best methods of every writer in my generation
(Twentieth century literary Criticisms 158) said a very prominent author during the Jazz Age,
Francis Scott Key Fitzgerald. He was recognized for writing stories that reflected his personal life.
Fitzgerald wrote his extraordinary pieces after he experienced something even more extraordinary.
The author of the article, F. Scott Fitzgerald , agrees when he says, ...Fitzgerald s most successful
creations derive from his own experiences and social circles, the members of the upper middle class
( Fitzgerald was a free, easy going person who was a hypocrite; he wanted to be like the ... Show

F. Scott Fitzgerald was born on September 24, 1896, in St. Paul, Minnesota. He was the son of
Mary and Edward Fitzgerald ( F. Scott Fitzgerald 516). In an interview Fitzgerald said he was,
...half black Irish and half old American stock with the usual exaggerated ancestral pretensions (
F. Scott Fitzgerald 516). Fitzgerald had 4 siblings and they moved a lot during their childhood (
F. Scott Fitzgerald 516). Fitzgerald said they lived in, a house below the average on a street
above the average ( F. Scott Fitzgerald 516). The author of F. Scott Fitzgerald sums up Fitzgerald
s college life as, entered Princeton at age seventeen. Until he left in October 1917, without a
degree, he skipped classes, failed courses, read contemporary fiction, and wrote prolifically.
During his time at college, Fitzgerald wrote many short stories to local newspapers (Nassau
Literary Magazine, This Side of Paradise) and he wrote lyrics to school musicals, but never
participated due to his grades ( F. Scott Fitzgerald 517). After college Fitzgerald joined the army
and became second lieutenant. During one of his transfers in Alabama, he fell in love with Zelda.
Zelda wanted a more successful partner, so she rejected him. In response to her rejection,

An Inappropriate Medication For Medical Patient Safety...
INTRODUCTION An inappropriate medication use that can harm a patient or no therapeutic effect
is considered as the pharmaceutical error, as according to the Malaysian National Patient Safety
Council. The pharmaceutical error can be caused by the mistakes done by physicians, pharmacists,
healthcare professionals, nurses or patients itself in either diagnosis or administration of drugs. The
pharmaceutical error is an event that can be prevented. Generally, every step in treating of a patient,
including diagnosis, dispensing of drugs and administration, should be done accurately without
estimation. The consequences of medication error can lead to complication or death in patients.
According to American Hospital Association, the medication error can be caused by incomplete
patient information (such as history of patient), unavailable information of drugs (which is lead to
wrong route of administration), miscommunication of prescription order, lacks of appropriate
labelling or even environmental factors. For instance, a patient complained that his skin began to
rash and itchy after taking certain drugs. After investigation, there was no error in diagnosis in his
disease, but the problem was the patient did not mention his allergy to certain drug contents and
there was no any drug allergy test such as blood test and skin test before dispensing the drug. From
this example, it had proven that how importance are the records and details of patients in dispensing
the medications.

Internal Conflict In Anthem By Ayn Rand
There has always been a slight apprehension towards being alone or standing alone. Students rarely
want to admit to having an answer different from the rest of their classmates; some people do not
want to go somewhere and do something by themselves. Notably, with more shy or anxious people,
they will often stick around someone they know, so they will not be alone in the crowd. Although
that company might help them make it through those nerve wracking moments, when is the right
time for them to walk alone? Should a person ever walk alone? In Ayn Rands Anthem, Equality s
internal conflict of conformity versus individuality plays a role that Equality needs to overcome in
order to complete their quest for freedom which helps create their outcast archetype and gives
significance to the final word of the novel.
The internal conflict in Anthem plays a role within the novel by providing the complication that the
protagonist, Equality, has to overcome in order to complete their quest. Equality is on a quest for
freedom and for knowledge, even though it will separate them from their brothers. From the
beginning of the novel until the third chapter, Equality notes how they commit transgressions
against their society, such as preference, and how they are different from their brothers, an example
being Equality s height of 6 feet tall. In the third chapter, Equality more or less accepts their fate of
being alone, even though the internal conflict still silently lurks in the

Strengths And Weaknesses Of Operant Conditioning
Skinner s theory observes individuals from the point of view of the behavior that they demonstrate.
The key weakness of this theory is its attempt to explain the behaviors of an individual solely
through visible phenomena. Critics sometimes accuse behaviorists of denying that ideas and
thoughts exist (Jensen Burgess, 1997). The major opposition that behaviorists face is that behavior
of a person cannot be understood without including the mental activity of the individual. Critics
have accused behaviorists of focusing only on behavior and ignoring the role of physiology,
neuroscience, and genetics (Weiss Rosales Ruiz, 2014). Sometimes the reactions that people
demonstrate have are not related their experience and therefore they have another... Show more

According to Snowman McCown, token economies are used to strengthen behavior. It is another
type of behavior modification strategy that can be used with students to effectively promote good
behavior within the classroom. Token economies are based upon a monetary system in which
tokens are used to acquire desired reinforcers. A token is something that has little or no inherent
value but that can be used to purchase items that do have inherent value (Snowman McCown,
2012). Teachers will create a reinforcement menu which includes the items that can be purchased by
tokens. Students will receive these tokens accordingly when they use the target behaviors
appropriately. When students acquire a certain number of tokens for displaying good behavior,
these can be exchanged for certain objects or activities in order to reinforce the

  • 2. Why Is Mahatma Gandhi Unjustified You must be the change you wish to see in the world Mahatma Gandhi (source from Mahatma Gandhi Quotes. ). Many assassinations occur due to political, religious, and cultural reasons. Some assassinations occur without explanation, or with explanations that sound illogical or ridiculous. On January 30, 1948, Mahatma Gandhi was shot three times by his assassin, Nathuram Godse. Gandhi was a man who only wanted what was best for his fellow Indians, and his love for his country and its people were what motivated him to do what he did. He was the leading figure responsible for India achieving independence, and he wanted to see a free and united country. Some may argue that he was not a good politician however, having to put politics within every view can sometimes be too much, which can cause arguments, leading to chaos. The first reason why Gandhi s death was unjustified was because Gandhi wanted only what was best for for his fellow Indians, and his love for his country and its people were what motivated him to do what he did. An example of him wanting what was best for his fellow Indians is Gandhi leading several campaigns in which he intended to make public of what unfortunate situation Indians were in inside their Country. This include the protest against the South African government s refusal to allow for Indians to vote. He was significant to the the founding of the Natal Indian Congress in 1894. This is an organization that became center in 1894 and helped political resistance develop over a seven year period which began in 1906 (All stated in the article, Great Soul: Mahatma Gandhi and His Struggle with India. ). Another example was that in future years, is in 1913, Gandhi negotiated with colonial laborers with Jan Smuts. Smuts was an Afrikaner (Afrikaans speaking person in South Africa, especially one descended from the Dutch and Huguenot settlers of the 17th century) and a racist who later became colonial secretary after the Boer War. The final decision between the two managed to gain Indians rights by a little (All stated in the article, The Problem with Purity. ) The second reason why Gandhi s death was unjustified because he was the leading figure responsible for gaining India s ... Theory Of Games And Economic Behavior Abstract In the year 1944, with John Von Neumann and Oskar Morgenstern publishing their paper on Theory of Games and Economic Behavior, foundations of Game Theory was laid. This paper is an attempt at condensing the fundamentals required to help decision making at early stages of Project Procurement. With the advent in implementation of Game Theory in real world, new theories have emerged with Game Theory as their stepping stone. Simple yet important concept such as Nash Equilibrium, Payoffs will be discussed to give the reader and idea they can improve and customize upon according to their scenario. It is important that we understand why its creator felt this way, according to them the reason for this is simply that economics is far too difficult a science to permit its construction rapidly, especially in view of the very limited knowledge and imperfect description of the facts with which economists are dealing. Only those who fail to appreciate this condition are likely to attempt the construction of universal systems. The Game doesn t always equate to the procedure that results in winning or loosing (which can be the case many a times). Here the connotation is merely utilized to provide a sense of structure involving strategies and plans to the whole process. As seen in a general Game, there are players and payoffs. Players have their strategies for particular situations, which may or may not depend on the other players moves. One interesting nature of game theory is seen when deciding moves using predefined strategies; our moves can be independent of those of the opponent s, however, results occurring due to the combination moves are totally interdependent. This can be confusing but with understanding this underlining concept of game theory comes into light easily. This phenomenon is known as Strategic Interdependency. Simply described as: What I do affect your outcome, what you do affects my outcome. To understand such subtle complexities, one must be familiar with the knowledge required about ... The human population is well over 7 billion individuals and the presence of humanity is extended to all four corners of the globe. As a result of the large population, intellectual superiority, and the wide range of human existence, humanity has naturally transformed into a diverse populace. Consequently, cultural narratives are prominent in our daily lives and play a role in shaping our social interactions, opinions, and lifestyles. The influence of cultural narratives have only expanded with the growth in technology. Technology provides a platform for individuals to be connected with regions on the opposite side of the globe within seconds. This advancement has led to the widespread dispersion of cultural traditions and tendencies. This is evident in the news, social media, and other media platforms. Different cultures have developed different beliefs about what norms are and abide by those beliefs. If someone falls out of the lines of normality, most people immediately formulate an ethnocentric mindset and begin to create opinions that that person s cultureis inferior to their own. The Attachment, Self Regulation, And Competency The Attachment, Self Regulation, and Competency (ARC) Framework is a theoretically grounded, evidence informed, promising practice used to treat complex trauma in children and adolescents (Arvidson, 2011). This research shows how the application of the ARC model benefits inner city youth who have been diagnosed with Oppositional Defiant Disorder. The goal of this research is to demonstrate that symptoms of ODD can be decreased by exposing inner city youth to ARC therapy over a period of time. The target population is inner city youth in Chattanooga, TN who are diagnosed with Oppositional Defiant Disorder. 50 students were chosen at random at inner city schools in the area. 25 of the youth will be exposed to the therapy, while 25 will not be exposed and serve as the control group. The 25 students will be exposed to ARC therapy over a span of 6 months. After the 6 month period, the behaviors will be rated again and compared to the control group that received no treatment. Complex trauma results from exposure to severe stressors that occur within the caregiver system or with another presumably responsible adult, are repetitive, and begin in childhood or adolescence. Some of you may agree totally, while others may completely disagree. At the core of the Northwood Idea is the notion of developing the character of the student and learning how to serve others (Watts, 2014). As students, our character is developed by subscribing to the Judeo Christian ethic by means of following the golden rule, emphasizing work and thrift, and understanding the importance of business. This country was founded on the idea of a Judeo Christian ethic because our founding Father s heritage was influenced greatly upon this ideology. This school of thought ... What I find interesting is that the average Chinese citizen believes in a free market economy. I find that interesting because of the countries deep ties to socialism and communism. Maybe you could say that those surveyed were simply uneducated to the issue or you could say that they are not happy in the system that they are currently living in. Where did Americans fall? 70% believed that the free market is the preferred method. I know statistics can be skewed anyway you want, but I believe that this is a realistic statistic. We always hear that America is the land of opportunity so the perception of the free market, at least on the surface, is a positive one. Having said all that is the Northwood Idea relevant today? Yes, in the sense that our founding fathers set forth the path that is still in practice today. America was founded upon the Judeo Christian ideas that sprang forward our current way of doing business. However, the only way that the Northwood Idea will remain relevant is if Americans will agree to use all three in harmony. Unfortunately, humans are imperfect and if you only looked at the free market and decided to discount the golden rule and/or work and thrift you will surely develop a lopsided skew of the true definitions of the free market. All systemic circulation begins via aorta, the first blood vesselof the systemic circulation and the largest artery of the body. Normal endothelium is resistant to adhesion by monocytes; however, when exposed to shear stress, monocytes can attach to endothelium (10). The recruited monocytes or macrophages, the mature form of monocytes, also play a key role in remodeling by producing matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs) among other tissues that produce MMPs (10, 20). At least 13 different MMPs have been identified and MMP 2 and MMP 9 are noted to cleave elastin (1). Reverend Jim Jones had no punishment, he instead had himself killed. One thousand members were held imprisoned, 913 people killed, 270 of which are innocent children (Jim Jones Bio). Jim Jones was never punished for his crime, not to say he did not deserve to die, but Jones was never caught. With only a gunshot wound to the head, Jones died with his followers that day because it was his choice to die( Jonestown: Nightmare in Paradise). INTRODUCTION An inappropriate medication use that can harm a patient or no therapeutic effect is considered as the pharmaceutical error, as according to the Malaysian National Patient Safety Council. The pharmaceutical error can be caused by the mistakes done by physicians, pharmacists, healthcare professionals, nurses or patients itself in either diagnosis or administration of drugs. • 44. Internal Conflict In Anthem By Ayn Rand There has always been a slight apprehension towards being alone or standing alone. Students rarely want to admit to having an answer different from the rest of their classmates; some people do not want to go somewhere and do something by themselves. Notably, with more shy or anxious people, they will often stick around someone they know, so they will not be alone in the crowd. Although that company might help them make it through those nerve wracking moments, when is the right time for them to walk alone? Should a person ever walk alone? In Ayn Rands Anthem, Equality s internal conflict of conformity versus individuality plays a role that Equality needs to overcome in order to complete their quest for freedom which helps create their outcast archetype and gives significance to the final word of the novel. The internal conflict in Anthem plays a role within the novel by providing the complication that the protagonist, Equality, has to overcome in order to complete their quest. Equality is on a quest for freedom and for knowledge, even though it will separate them from their brothers. From the beginning of the novel until the third chapter, Equality notes how they commit transgressions against their society, such as preference, and how they are different from their brothers, an example being Equality s height of 6 feet tall. In the third chapter, Equality more or less accepts their fate of being alone, even though the internal conflict still silently lurks in the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The key weakness of this theory is its attempt to explain the behaviors of an individual solely through visible phenomena. Critics sometimes accuse behaviorists of denying that ideas and thoughts exist (Jensen Burgess, 1997). The major opposition that behaviorists face is that behavior of a person cannot be understood without including the mental activity of the individual. Critics have accused behaviorists of focusing only on behavior and ignoring the role of physiology, neuroscience, and genetics (Weiss Rosales Ruiz, 2014). Sometimes the reactions that people demonstrate have are not related their experience and therefore they have another... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... It is another type of behavior modification strategy that can be used with students to effectively promote good behavior within the classroom. Token economies are based upon a monetary system in which tokens are used to acquire desired reinforcers. A token is something that has little or no inherent value but that can be used to purchase items that do have inherent value (Snowman McCown, 2012). Teachers will create a reinforcement menu which includes the items that can be purchased by tokens. Students will receive these tokens accordingly when they use the target behaviors appropriately. When students acquire a certain number of tokens for displaying good behavior, these can be exchanged for certain objects or activities in order to reinforce the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
